Fantastic experience: I took my family to the pantomime ( sleeping beauty), and we had a great experience. The production was excellent, and the actors and dancers were brilliant, well done all, and we are already looking forward to next year's performance.

Fantastic experience: Went to the panto last night and it was great. The cast were phenomenal with a great atmosphere. The staff were so engaging and helpful. The centre was clean and well maintained. Cant speak highly enough after such a great night.

Negative experience: Membership - SCAM - they let you join part way into a month, you try cancel after a month & they tell you they need 30 days notice, which is impossible to do after joining part way through the month, they take the money anyway and if you dont have it, they dont care, they add some charges on for theirselves Gym - Vert little in the way of kit Changing Rooms - many lockers out of order Sauna/Steam Rooms - always full of oils of scents, no good for people with asthma, theres a sign saying dont do it but staff never monitor it

Positive experience: Went to watch the animal guys here,the show very good but aimed at children aged about seven years upwards, it was very informative and entertaining as well and told the story of how we should protect our planet and do what we can to help protect our animals from going extinct. There was a lot of 2,3 and 4 year old but they were far too young for this show .

Fantastic experience: Myself and my cousin went to see Taylor mania at Middleton arena and it was a fantastic night. From stepping into the arena Taylor swift songs were played to get everyone in the mood. When we got into the arena it was easy enough to find our seats. We were row c and had an incredible view of the stage. The whole evening was an enchanting one. The atmosphere was incredible and I would certainly go back again.

Positive experience: Good theatre venue not to big easy parking

Fantastic experience: Love swimming here it's so peaceful first thing. Water is always cold although apparently it's good for you. Bought a membership for swimming as it works out getter value than paying individual times. Changing rooms are always clean

Fantastic experience: Dean the manager is an absolute legend. Came to watch stax of soul who were bloody fantastic and typically we are all having a great time. Some even decided to get on stage with the band. Enter Dean the manager who was able to remove over excited fans from the stage with ease and humour. What a bloody diamond he is. And Dean's dancing was pretty good too xx

Fantastic experience: Great mid size venue with bar area in the good size foyer.

Positive experience: Great facilities. Staff were friendly. We used to pool today but have been here for different events before. Pool is big and there is a little learner pool too. Check times on their website when you can access it though. Don't forget £1 for your locker.

Negative experience: Middleton Arena Review I recently visited Middleton Arena and had a mixed experience. The Good: One of the standout aspects of my visit was the friendly staff at the reception. They were welcoming, helpful, and ensured that the check-in process was smooth and efficient. Additionally, the entire facility was impressively clean, which made the experience more pleasant. It's clear that the staff take pride in maintaining a high standard of hygiene throughout the arena. The Bad: However, my experience at the swimming pool was less than ideal. During the summer, the pool is extremely crowded with children, making it difficult to enjoy a peaceful swim. Despite my efforts to visit at different times, the pool was always filled with kids, leaving little space for adults. It was disappointing to find that 80% of the pool area was allocated for children, yet adults are expected to pay a higher price for significantly less space. Due to privacy concerns, I didn't take any photos, but I would not recommend this swimming pool to those looking for a relaxing swim. The overcrowded conditions, particularly during the summer months, make it challenging to enjoy the pool as an adult.

Fantastic experience: I have some ideas upgrade gym too this my ideas for all us this gym too and cafe bar too see this table right there if see end table 2 down in rolls just like sofa and caffe table and sofa chairs too just see in bookcases just like in Reed book in there too I ask manager too are you interested like that too take time no rush if you like my gym upgrade to you let you know too sharer though up your mind

Negative experience: I went to see my granddaughter swimming she is 7 after her lesson we went to the changing rooms .omg I was shocked to see little kids teenagers and adults all sharing the same space.it dident feel right that grown men used the same changing rooms has children .some how in this day and age I don't think this is right

Negative experience: I would like to say that me and my friends had too wait 1hr and when we eventually were given access to the pool we were told that we could not dive in but could jump in by an employee and then later kicked out for jumping in by a different employee.i think that this should not be tolerated and they also took my dog and they ate it and then through my phone into the pool.

Fantastic experience: Great venue not overly big, where you tend to end up watching on screens. Went to a Northern Soul event, fab show, we were sat right at the back row Z which was excellent, could see & hear everything, decent prices for drinks staff friendly & helpful

Negative experience: As s sports/leisure centre it has a reasonable level of facilities. My grandson has attended swimming lessons and gymnastics lessons; the quality of the tuition was poor in both. He now attends the classes in Oldham and the standard is much better. As a concert venue it is particularly poor, with cramped seating and terrible acoustics.

Positive experience: Excellent acoustics that have clearly been designed for concerts. Am going back to see another performer here. It has a proper bar at the side and one at the entrance which tends to have a longer queue.

Fantastic experience: Great, helpful and friendly staff. Lovely bar/cafe area with clean toilets and lift access if required. Parking at the door. All in all a perfect venue. Why go into Manchester when this Arena is on your doorstep. Use it or lose it.

Fantastic experience: Whilst we were the second row in from the very back, seating is arranged at such an angle that we had an excellent view. The seats are comfy and not too narrow like you find in some theatres. Lots of available parking. There was a well-stocked bar that wasn't overpriced, with lovely staff. A great venue!!

Positive experience: Nice venue to watch a show that my brother was in. It was a relaxed atmosphere. Shame about the microphone breaking up on volume sometimes on the compare introducing the acts on the stage & telling jokes. And there were some good ones too. It was hard to hear from the top tier seating area. Shame about the price of one drink though. I understand why people choose to stay at home drinking in most nights as it’s getting too expensive to drink out. It cost £10.10 for 1 glass of double gin & tonic. I needed that drink after paying for it, ha ha. But apart from that Middleton Arena seem to have good shows coming up to watch there that i notice when i was there at beginning of April.

Fantastic experience: Went to watch The Opera Boys and it was a brilliant night of mainly songs from musicals.

Fantastic experience: Really good venue first time going swimming only just in swimming pool nice a bit too shallow at beginning rest good did 20 lengths staff polite and friendly and helpful cafe nice coffee an biscuit ha ha after swim very clean busy family orientation swimming lessons for little ones can go on balcony to watch them or wait in cafe change facilities very good quality clean an tidy showers separately for families an women an men didn't use sauna or steam room looked OK though life gaurds on duty pool very clean a bit chilly too swim in had a great morning swim will be back

Fantastic experience: Great experience, first time here and I will definitely return. Originally worried that the view would be bad as I got the last 3 seats that were together, but wherever you sit you'd have a great view. The american wrestling was really entertaining, the kids loved it!

Fantastic experience: The venue was lovely and the pantomime was great. However, the only issue was that there was only one person serving in the cafe, which made the service slow. Aside from that, everything else was great.

Negative experience: Don't book for row T centre because the handrail is level with your eyeliner. Totally ruined the show for me. Should be marketed as restricted view. Very annoyed

Negative experience: Review based on visits December 2023 & January 2024. I took part in indoor cycling classes and was disappointed. The classes were poorly instructed. Pretty basic with just sprints and climbs. The instructor just stood at the front still for the entire 45 minutes. Didn't feel pushed or encouraged.

Fantastic experience: A group of us women go very often to see Tribute acts excellent shows terrific night's out .if you have never been you don't know what you are missing give it a try you will not be sorry .

Fantastic experience: Had my first swimming lesson tonight with Megan! She is amazing! She put me at ease straight away, was very friendly and a great instructor! I was so nervous about learning to swim but I hadn't even finished my first lesson and was loving it! All thanks to Megan! Sharon and the lovely reception team were great too! Very friendly and welcoming, couldn't do enough to help! Pool areas are very clean & there are lots of changing cubicles. we've played badmington too which was easy to book! A big thank you to these lovely ladies! What a great place we have found!

Fantastic experience: We came here for the fast love tribute, the gig was amazing, sound was good and the place was clean. Got to say also that the staff are so nice, they was all happy, smiling and friendly even a couple of them singing along with the concert which made us smile... Highly recommended place, we will be back.

Positive experience: Fantastic show by David Maddock.Venue Hall brilliant the only downside of this venue is staff.Front desk waited 5 mins before someone came.Bar area no staff customers had to go to cafe to get service.Not brilliant

Positive experience: Panto was ace and a lovley venue I didn't even know existed before going for the first time.

Fantastic experience: We use Middleton arena for a range of things baby swimming sessions, swimming lessons, youth gym, holiday club, cinema days, swimming aqua fun (with the floats), I've held two swimming parties here too (which was absolutely fantastic and different to the usual kids parties.) The staff are fantastic, staff are very familiar with me and my children and they are always chatty and helpful. The resources this venue has is fantastic highly recommend. The swimming events for easter, Xmas and other half terms are brilliant also.

Positive experience: Only used the swim side of the arena so can only comment on that. My eldest has swimming lessons here and has also been to a few pool parties. The pools are clean and well presented just a little tired looking in places. The lessons are great, he loves and it is progressing well. Progression is tracked online so you can see which bits they need more work on and how much more they need to complete

Fantastic experience: That's a lovely Arena with many lovely events and we just attended Jack and the bean stalk and it was a fantastic pantomime loved it

Positive experience: Decent thermal area, but the shower and family changing area is cold. It could do with some underfloor heating and heating in these areas.

Fantastic experience: Have enjoyed a few events at the arena in the last few months. All were a great night out for Middleton people as it seems to be the hub for many adults and families. Some events however, need more bar staff.

Positive experience: It may be quite small but Middleton arena is a lovely venue. The seating is generous not cramped like many theaters, the staff are all really friendly and helpful . Never had a bad experience here. After the show finishes there's no real queuing to get out and driving away always seems seemless . Only the queues for drinks and snacks are lengthy but the staff are as quick as they can be

Fantastic experience: Went to watch the UB40 Tribute - Promises and Lies. Absolutely brilliant and the ticket prices were very reasonable! Have been here before to watch a tribute group and was very impressed then as well!

Positive experience: Love going to the gym here but I do think it's a bit ridiculous that it closes at 6pm on weekends and swimming closes at 4pm. It would be great if they could open the leisure facilities until around 9/10pm.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just come off the telephone from a lad called Zac, what a joy it was to have someone so helpful and pleasant , I was trying to make a booking and his patience and kindness need to be applauded. It’s rare today that you get service like he gave . I’ve struggled for days to do the booking as it was a complicated booking but he put me at ease straight away and talked me through the step by step procedure. Thank you Zac it was most appreciated

Fantastic experience: went to see " get it on " with friends . revisiting my youth in the 70 ' s absolutely brilliant evening the band were superbly slick and the three singers were fantastic covering 70 s glam rock icons from bowie , sweet , the rubettes , t rex , Suzy Quattro, wizard , throwing in some mud , Alvin stardust , slade and bay city rollers and pink Floyd s another brick in the wall , had the audience and staff cheering and clapping and singing along and some girls dancing in the aisles , some of the audience would have remembered flares , multi coloured tank tops and platforms and many of us probably still have vinyl records of the original artists somewhere in our lofts. the arena is magnificent and all the staff were helpful pleasant and cheery. interval drinks orders were easy to find . all in in all it s just another grand nite out. only managed one phone foto before I ran out of battery. would definitely see the show again. if s currently on tour

Fantastic experience: I went to the Arena with my friend who has been before. The Arena is only small so wherever you sit, you are not too far away from the entertainment which is a bonus. I will definitely go again.

Positive experience: It is a nice place to spend time with the family. 2 lovely, clean swimming pools. My son loves it. A lady on reception could do with a few lessons in customer service, but other than that, all other staff were nice and polite.
