Positive experience: I really like the classes, trainers are knowledgeable and facilities are good quality and clean. I would like more classes offered specially during the weekends

Positive experience: Great workout with James today even though it was exhausting! Gave loads of encouragement & tailored to all levels. Place is always clean & well maintained, just wish the showers were hotter & there was a steam room! Can't have everything I suppose...!!

Fantastic experience: I go here after work, it is absolutely packed, only thing i do not like about it is machine hoggers, was a couple there on Thursday just on the leg press, I've not long started but I wanted to use the leg press but this couple was on it for the whole 50 minutes I was there, there are always groups of people just using one machine but on their phones and talking, after a day at work I just would like to use the machines do my work out and get off, should spend no longer than 3 minutes per machine, or have more, apart from that it is a lovely gym with friendly and helpful staff

Positive experience: Really enjoy Park Farm gym, could do with more ski ergs and assault bikes as well as somewhere to do wall balls and handstands, probably needs to expand really as it’s always very busy even at 5.30am!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Love all of Emma’s classes as they are great workout. She adjusts them to suit your body needs. Not happy losing Metcon in the evening or Abs. Also the timing for classes on a Sunday are rubbish too. Shame to change it but hope it changes back soon.

Negative experience: Unfortunately it's just too busy and too small - unless you time it right you'll be waiting or your routine will be messed up.

Negative experience: Since the closing of Folkestone Sports Centre the number of members has noticeably increased. Not enough equipment available, leading to long waiting times. Poor gym etiquette, with equipment left where last used. Get your timing right and it can be a great place to train. But these are very narrow windows of opportunity.

Fantastic experience: It's now a month , was very nervous as a newcomer , thanks to the fitness team.they helped me much on how use machine.now am very confident. I really like the classes the helped to boost my confidence

Positive experience: Folkestone puregym is a little too much on the small side. There really isn't much space around the free weights or the cable machine area. Most puregyms get busy around certain parts of the day which make it difficult to get on anything but due to the size this gym would be a nightmare when busy due to lack of space. I went when it wasn't too busy and even then I found it hard at times and felt like either I was getting in someone's way or they were getting in my way. Some of the machines feel abit old too. They do the job though.

Positive experience: A very popular place to work out and get sweaty . There are plenty of different machines for you to get fit on. The staff are very professional and helpful answering any questions you might have. If you are an insomniac it is open 24 hours a day.

Positive experience: Good facilities, however,always feels near capacity and long waits for the cable machines which are always popular

Negative experience: Good gym in a good location but recently there is always a few things not working, including the sports water machine that really bugged me. This gym has definitely gone downhill lately but it is still a decent gym

Fantastic experience: What an amazing place to go and train. It is always a pleasure to go into, packed with all the equipment you could need and has accessibility options and as an amputee that's important! Then to top it off it's hosts a friendly environment!!!!

Positive experience: PureGym is good but my only problem was some of the outdated equipment. Having travelled the country for work I quickly realised even the placement of equipment was a bit strange. The gym also lacked atmosphere

Negative experience: Pumped up please No atmosphere lesson very boring need good music and more enthusiastic instructor. I be there 2 time and I cancel my membership instantly. Not for me.

Fantastic experience: Well equipped gym, being 24hr with ample free parking makes it easy to just 'go' without having to worry. Haven't interacted with the staff, but they always appear friendly and approachable.

Negative experience: Been going for a few months, if you go early morning or within school hours it’s great but soon as it’s hits 16:30 all you get are young kids, I know the limit is 16 however you get a load of 11 to 14 years year old in school uniforms laughing at people and not using the machines properly. I think the staff can do better job enforcing this.

Fantastic experience: I love this place, never felt at ease in a gym but puregym in Folkestone is on another level. Everyone is friendly and the staff are top notch, def a gym for the nervous or newcomer. Wouldn't use another gym now.

Positive experience: The PureGym equipment is good, but now showing its age after a number of years use. Its pretty common to have multiple items out of order. The place is small and too busy to get on all the equipment, this is pretty much the case from 4.30am to 10pm. There is pretty much one of each weight machine. The staff are not impolite but not engaging either so it can be tricky getting a resolution to any issue. The loos are stinky!! But you do see a cleaner in the early hours cleaning and again in the evening. I occasionally use the showers, the shower room doesn't have loos as they are communal and in the mezzanine area. There is plenty of parking which is great as its free. overall, its OK if you are after cardio work outs and are not too worried about changing or showering. I wouldn't recommend if you are looking to use weights, the gym is over subscribed and therefore frustrating you hang around waiting for your turn.

Negative experience: This gym is cheap… and that unfortunately is the only positive, the equipment is basic.. if you can use it, the staff seem very vacant and uninterested… Only use if you’re on a tight budget and want to only do cardio training…. I joined Trè Fitness after a few months at pure gym and definitely do not regret my decision friendly staff and always able to train what I want to without waiting

Negative experience: Every piece of equipment seems to have a layer of dirt. I have never seen the staff do any kind of cleaning. Equipment seems to be out-of-order for months at a time. There's not enough benches in the mens locker room. On first time visit it wasn't clear where things like the changing rooms are. There's not really any sign posts. Overall not a good gym.

Positive experience: Variety of different equipment. But space is lacking in the weights section

Positive experience: For the price this is a good gym. Not ideally located for me relying on the bus times, but I'm sure it's ideal for others. One of the lat pulldown machines has been out of action now for several weeks, but not the first gym I've been to where they have to wait patiently for the leasing company to fix it. As others have said it is a busy gym, if they could squeeze in another set of cables it would be a help. But I enjoy the gym.

Positive experience: Peak times can be a nightmare, especially if you are wanting to use free weights or specific machines. Can't grumble though at the price you pay

Positive experience: It is a good basic gym which is what you need. I'm not a fan of the communal toilets that out in the gym. The place could also do with a little air flow or at least a few air freshener especially round the weights section and in the stairwell. Other than that it's a gym.

Positive experience: Staff are very helpful and friendly. Quite a small gym so sometimes bit crowded. The machines are as good as other PureGyms I've had membership and there are alternative machines. They also have all the weights that you may need for free weight workouts both upstairs and downstairs. All in all nice gym and enjoy having it as my secondary gym when visiting Folkestone.

Negative experience: Gym is OK but needs better equipment, the calf machine and mid row machines are the worst I've used in the area... And the members have no idea of gym etiquette, take a small plate off the bar to finish your reps lean out against the bench you're using and someone is diving to grab the small plate without even asking if your done with it! Had someone push past me while I was mid squat in the rack to get to a plate and couldn't even see that they had done anything wrong, I honestly couldn't believe someone would do that while another person had a loaded bar on their shoulders! And if you want to do a training session don't even bother going between 4 and 7pm, you'll find one 10kg dumbell at one end of the weight rack and the other 10 will be at the other end of the rack and people basically climbing over the bench you're on to get to where they want to be, and as to be expected at any gym, someone bicep curling in the squat rack... Seriously need to limit the numbers entering as it's not a safe environment to train with heavy weights... Toilets and changing facilitates are clean enough though...

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at the gym in a long time. I had a one to one induction/PT session with Leanne Walledge who was amazing, not only did she show me how to work everything, she explained to me why I should do that specific excersise and the results I should see if I keep it up. Nothing was too much trouble, answering all my questions as we went along. I would highly recommend booking PT sessions with Leanne.

Fantastic experience: Even when 70+ people in here I can still workout. Great machines and plenty of them. Lots of treadmills ... Bikes though are awful machines with an uncomfortable seating position and strange resistance feeling.

Positive experience: It's a pure gym so you get very good value for money and 24 hours opening times but the equipment isn't great for major gym rats and the weights are never put away properly. I have been a member at Dynamix and Bannatynes and now here. I have chosen to go to this gym now because of the price and opening times. It's annoying that people don't put back the weights and there isn't the high quality gym equipment that Dynamixs has to offer. Another major USP that pure has to offer was the cancel whenever option. In summery if your a 100% gym rat go to Dynamix if you like swimming go to Bannatynes. Otherwise come here with the knowledge that weights aren't put back and it can be a little untidy but other than that it's a good gym.

Positive experience: Joined since it first came to Folkestone, Have to say I love it, Great for people who usually can’t workout til late The staffs are friendly I assume all of them are PT’s don’t know the cost but definitely worth a check if you’re in need of support. Can’t give it 5* honestly because of hygiene problems, Since I’m pretty sure there isn’t any spray and anything to wipe off the benches or machines, as most people sweat a lot and don’t bring towels... With as many people as there is at the moment it’d be great to bring some. Got to say since it joined the offers was very cheap but will start racking up when the offer ends but it’s warned. However it’s worth the price as it’s everything you need in a gym. Good Protein/Fuel Snacks and drinks Water fountain provided also a spare big room to workout Upstairs cardio also downstairs Really recommend if you live locally or just visiting Folkestone for a cheap price.
