Anytime Fitness Gosport

Fantastic experience: Been a member for a few years and consistently feel welcome and acknowledged when I come to workout. Great atmosphere of real people working towards their goals in a supportive environment. Good facilities and the staff are approachable, knowledgable and happy to help however they can. Makes going to the gym a lot easier!

Fantastic experience: Excellent !!!

Negative experience: Refusal to cancel membership, refusing to remove my bank details from another persons account, I've complained twice about two people, one that kept looking down my partners top while she was trying to workout and another about a guy that kept going around and moving peoples stuff away from equipment and moving it across the gym claiming it wasn't there but both times it was brushed off and said it never happened despite it being on camera. Update, was able to sit down and talk to Steve and cancel my partners membership and have a nice talk and clear up any misunderstandings we had, my account is still active for my last month given notice and I've been given confirmation that it will be cancelled as I have requested. Our request was to cancel originally because we would be moving out of the country and escalated due to responses from a staff member that has now been cleared up thanks to Steve.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Anytime Fitness in Gosport , and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The facilities are top-notch, featuring a wide range of equipment that's always well-maintained. The atmosphere is motivating, with a friendly and supportive community that makes every workout enjoyable. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and approachable, always ready to offer guidance or answer questions. I particularly appreciate the variety of classes available, from high-intensity interval training to yoga, catering to all fitness levels. What really stands out is the cleanliness and organization of the gym; it's evident that they prioritize hygiene and a pleasant environment for all members. Plus, the flexible hours make it easy to fit workouts into my busy schedule. Overall, Anytime fitness has exceeded my expectations and has become an essential part of my fitness journey. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: Staff always greet you as you walk in and say bye as you leave. The club owner, Steve, seems to know every member by name from what I have seen. It's a great atmosphere because of the way the staff are towards their members. I have grown in confidence in attending a gym because of the atmosphere here, and on my way to reaching my goals. Whereas the previous gym I went to was not as welcoming, and I didn't attend much because of it.

Fantastic experience: Always clean and tidy, staff and members are all really friendly. If you’re new to the gym it’s the perfect place to start.

Negative experience: You guys kept SPAM calling me whist I have really bad anxiety and wanted to go to the gym to try and help myself, but you guys made it worse after the 6th time calling THIS WEEK I answered and tried to be nice and said can you please stop calling me, the guy on the phone was so rude and said “no you applied for something and if you’re not going to do it then you’re never coming here again” after that I blocked your number and I will NEVER be coming here again, the first time I came here I was 13, the staff were lovely I went there with my mum and just sat there as I wasn’t allowed on the equipment now when I actually want to try the gym 5 years later you’re rude. You are an disgrace to gosport.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, loads of equipment.

Negative experience: Cardio machines are more broken than not; no one ever answers the phone; there are never any staff in the building besides one young woman 9/10 times even though the store advertises normal working hours on the front of the building. Not worth the £35pm.

Fantastic experience: Clean, affordable, and great value gym. Signed up for a month while on holiday and was a pleasant experience every time I went in. Friendly staff too - thanks Hayley and George for being welcoming and helpful!

Positive experience: Compared to other anytime fitness one of the smaller places.. what I didn’t like weights all over the place so before staff had left not in orderly places, more on people putting them back really no biggie. The toilets were what I would say tired funny damp smell. Wasn’t really any plug sockets to charge anything only one I found was out of sight of where I was working out. Not hating on the place just didn’t wasn’t a 4 star ⭐️ experience. Sanitisation wipes rather than spray bottles wasn’t keen on that. Have a lot of love for anytime fitness i think some of these smaller places fall short of larger venues.

Fantastic experience: Join this gym and have nothing but good to say they have friendly staff and feel very comfortable going to this gym

Negative experience: Awful. Do not join this gym. After I cancelled my membership they re set up a direct debit using details I had previously given to them and took over £70 out. Luckily the bank got involved and I got my money back. Constantly sent emails with conflicting information and amounts that I apparently owed them but never sent anything to my home address. Avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: Poor customer service. Equipment was fairly tired, also numerous leaks from air con unit. Much better gyms at much better value available.

Fantastic experience: Am visiting from Sydney to see family in the area and the team at Anytime Gosport have been so amazing and have made me feel so welcome! Even though I forgot my tag, the team have kindly let me in everyday and are always so lovely. The gym also has great equipment, facilities and is very clean. Being able to visit the gym during my visit has made my stay that much more enjoyable so thank you Hayley, Steve, Sarah and all the other trainers at Anytime Gosport! :)

Fantastic experience: Really friendly atmosphere, the staff are always happy to help in any Way. Gym is always clean and there is plenty of cleaning gear to use after you’ve used the equipment. Plenty of challenges to take part in during the year to keep customers motivated.

Fantastic experience: Really friendly fitness club, regularly have a chat with other random members when I’m not sweating. Staff Always happy to help. Good range of equipment, clean. Personal trainers available and body analysis. Lockers and clean showers on site along with vending machines. Membership gives discounts with other companies and 24 hour access to this and all associated clubs fantastic. I’ve used 5 other clubs around the region and go to 3 regularly.

Fantastic experience: Superb gym in Gosport. Full range of equipment in excellent order. Numerous and varied classes catering for all. The staff are extremely friendly and professional always willing to help. They are complimented by in house PT's who have a wealth of knowledge and experience. Some gyms I've found to be intimidating places to work out in. Not Anytime Fitness in Gosport though. There is a real Community ethos here with a lot of interaction with local businesses and the people around. Fundraising, competitions and extra curricular activities really make this gym a real asset to everyone of ALL ages in the area.

Fantastic experience: Another lockdown threatens, and I'm going to miss the gym if it is closed. Super friendly staff and members. The gym machines and other kit is well maintained and covid secure. Great range of classes and the personal trainers give you loads of encouragement to work hard. If there is one word to describe this gym it is 'professional'.

Fantastic experience: I joined AF yesterday and the whole experience so far has been fantastic. The staff are super friendly and have been more than happy to answer any questions, the gym is spotlessly clean and has hand sanitiser and cleaning wipes/spray available. I was anxious going to a gym on my own for the first time but I’m so glad I chose this one!

Positive experience: 5stars for staff for hard work keeping tidy and friendliness. Looking always very busy but always find a minute to help if you needed. Love the mind you can use any branches. Love 24/7 However giving 3 stars for amount of equipment what they have, app, price, premisses size. On the app The training programs done with beginners knowledge only (bodybuilding ) App and the gym not always working together equipment wise Suggestion * At least decline bench for barbell with weels where you will be able regulate legs high Improve app training programs.

Fantastic experience: Well maintained, clean, and a decent selection of equipment and free weights. The only thing is the music is too loud.... Especially as most people are listening to their own anyway.

Negative experience: In spite of extensive text messages and fairly detailed explanation of what I wanted from their service. I made an appointment which I kept, I was shown around by a very young inexperienced junior member of staff (he did a good job and was very pleasant). However, he had no knowledge of me and how the gym could help me. An error of management who upon my leaving rather proudly told me. I was the 1st person to be shown around by the member of staff concerned. I was left unimpressed with my debit card firmly in my wallet and disappointed.

Negative experience: Be careful with their prize system. I won a trip to Ireland last year and still have not received it. After loads of calls and emails, they have not bothered to sort it out!!! At one point, they even asked me to pay for it and they would reimburse at a later date. Just be careful as they look like a friendly genuine gym and want a lot of positive media that will benefit them but behind the scenes, they dont really care.

Negative experience: Attempting to cancel membership since moving house is proving to be a an absolute nightmare. Very poor response to emails, at least over a week demanding that we go in and cancel when I we live over 40 minutes drive away. Not impressed at all!! Still not sure if my membership is cancelled properly. Not impressed with new management was much better when Steve was overseeing the show. This has left a very bitter taste as we cannot fault the gym for equipment but it seems that their process to cancel in extremely convoluted and simply there is no sense of urgency to response to emails.

Fantastic experience: Have everything needed, the place is always clean and kept up to standard with health and safety. You get what you pay for if not more... highly recommend this gym!

Positive experience: Nice and clean gym , between 5 friends that we are currently going on different time periods, Sam was the only member of the staff that pointed out or helped us with the exercises and equipment.( A personal trainer could take a minute to explain that you are in danger of hurting yourself doing that exercise instead of telling other people that you are doing something wrong) On busy hours the gym is overwhelming overcrowded it's a waiting game on the machines.Be prepared to wait for a group of lady's that just sit on the treadmill and chat to finish or get moaned at if you say something. + 24/7 clean , good condition well equipped - small and overcrowded between 16-22:30

Positive experience: Great facilities, more expensive than other local gyms.

Negative experience: Do not make a contract with them. I've been trying to cancel since my redundancy happened in september 2018 and guess what,after going there 2 times and emailing a million papers to prove i do not have a job, they took 5 more payments. And i didin't even go once. Ripoff. Plus always overcrowded,it's small. Never ever i would recommend anyone to go there.

Positive experience: Pros: - 24/7 (obviously) - convenient location (on major road, next to shop and bus stop) - great atmosphere, helpful and professional staff - clean, spacey, well lit - sleek, modern arrangement - lots of varied machines - perfect balance between cardio machines and heavy lifting equipment - spacey and well equipped personal bathrooms Cons: - poor heating in bathrooms in winter (no floor heating) - rear entrance likely to flood in heavy rain - bit busy at peak times (especially in January ;)) - music too loud sometimes - cardio machines could be "smarter" (poor software in treadmills) - tiny designated private car park, (able to use free large car park for Waitrose next door but very busy at peak times)

Fantastic experience: I had a habit of joining gyms and getting fed up after a week. Since joining this in December I have stuck with it. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I started training with JJ a few weeks back and I feel so much more motivated and feel guilty if I don't make it to the gym. I have already learnt so much in a few session and feel the benifits already. I cant recommend this place enough.

I've never had a negative experience, the staff are helpful, the equipment is all top notch and allows me to train each muscle group effectively. I rarely have to wait to use any equipment, even at peak times. Best gym in Gosport by a large margin!
