Fantastic experience: Amazing great place lovely atmosphere chilled vibes all the facilities I need got the gym, swimming ,steam ,sauna and jacuzzi I recommend as this is great for metal/physical health puts yourself in a great place leaving you feeling positive good in yourself and good routine making you feel refreshed and in a good place mentally highly recommended

Negative experience: Awful...l the gym is tiny The staff are rude And the pool is also too small to do a proper workout The worst bit is they charge a premium rate for a gym that is not as good as others that have the same price range

Negative experience: There is a reason I cancelled my family membership. They simply dont get customer service. Pool heater has broken, families turning up for a family swim, spend all that time getting ready to have to get out after 15 minutes as its far too cold to swim unless you are doing full on exercise in there. “We have a sign on the door telling everyone the heater is broke and may be cooler than usual” How about looking customers in the face and just telling them before all the hassle

Negative experience: Please be wary of the terms and conditions for this gym if you are signing up for the 3 month 'flexible' membership, which is not flexible in the slightest. There is a required notice period of 90 days for this particular membership, so if you decide to cancel any time within those 3 months, you will be locked in to paying for an additional 3 months. It is a shame that an otherwise decent gym has such a shady policy.

Positive experience: Attended a meeting here, heating and air con battling with each other, once room reached a nice temperature the air con would kick in and you'd end up putting your coats on. The coffee served also wasn't great, lukewarm in the flasks by 9.15, the coffee machine at the other end of the building wasnt working properly and ran out of milk. Its a nice enough looking venue, and has lots of good facilities, it appears clean, and there is a coffee shop which may be better than what's offered for the meeting rooms. The pastries were nice, and the staff were helpful. Lunch was provided for us, the veg curry was tasty, the rice wasn't overdone and the chips were chunky and not dry. Plenty of condiments available and good choice of branded carbonated drinks as well as hot drinks.

Fantastic experience: . Lights in the carpark have all been repaired , so can see clearly. Aqua session was popular due to the first class coach. Staff very friendly & supportive. Spa& changing rooms always being cleaned. I do recommend the village. Haven't stayed in the hotel ,so can't comment on the rooms

Fantastic experience: Costs a bit more than other gyms out there but is a great place to work out and finish off with a swim. Early morning and late evening it is very quiet. Machines have just been updated and are better than ever. You can even mix it up a little bit and have a game of racket ball or squash. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined after 12 months with another large gym company in Prenton. Kudos to Mark, made me and my partner feel welcome straight away. Facilities are second to non, plenty of room and equipment is new, clean and well maintained. This was the reason for joining, our old gyms equipment was falling apart. We both enjoy its more than a gym, with the squash court and discounts on food. Inside the gym, there’s a nice atmosphere and very welcoming from other users.

Fantastic experience: Staff are really helpful, lovely clean facilities. The changing rooms are big enough & they offer just what you need. While I was there, swimming lessons for children were on at a section of the pool, the teacher was very friendly & patient with the children & they seemed to be having a really good time. Would recommend & go here again

Positive experience: Good day pass rate for a weekday Its a little light on equipment in the gym, no stair master or stepper, only a couple of areas for weights so you're kind of stepping on other people's toes The pool area was great along with sauna and steam, but the jacuzzi felt dirty and had grit/sand in the bottom The only thing missing from the pool area is a water drinking fountain

Negative experience: Absolutely awful place, was a member a long time ago now, had a repeated ear Infection following swimming here. Not sure if it was the swimming pool water that was to blame as obviously as a swimmer your prone to ear infections anyway but I'd never suffered this before! So much so was referred to ent to help clear the problem up. When I tried to cancel my membership I was threatened with debt collection agencies. Sometimes after the children's swimming lessons it smelt of urine. Shame because it could be amazing here and it's not.

Negative experience: Wouldn’t sign up to a contract again! My partner due to Covid had to work out of area for the past year, even after sending them evidence they were unable to cancel his membership, even though he has been unable to use it once! It also states if circumstances change they will help you out! Absolutely not true!! They also put the monthly payment up even though we were in a contract! Have been treated unfairly!

Fantastic experience: The facilities here are amazing! The gym equipment are really good, and the pool, jacuzzis, steam room and sauna are a great way to relax after a long day.

Negative experience: After paying for passes for myself and two children. My son who where's goggles and dives underneath the surface mostly refuses to return. He says its absolutely disgusting under there. Filthy, full of hairs. Me and my daughter actually had an infection. The doctor assumed due to the quality of the water.

Negative experience: The place is falling apart and for £48 a month, it's just not worth it. Broken glass mirrors are sellotaped together, carpets are ripped and sticking up, the equipment is tatty and rubber handles are torn, the free weights are all over the place; I know this is selfish gym goers not putting them back but staff are walking around constantly just chatting and not actually doing anything.

Negative experience: There is zero air conditioning in the weights room. When staff are asked to turn it on they lie and say it's already on. When the ventilation fans in the weights room (not A/C) is on, it quickly gets switched off by the lady who does the classes in the studio upstairs as it also blows in there which means the fans in the weights room turn off. Absolutely ridiculous. Zero ventilation = high chance of catching Covid. Please get this fixed, it's horrendous in the heat. The A/C and the fans should both be left on in the weights room regardless of what the lady running classes upstairs says. The gym is never vacuumed, bits of fluff and hair can be found everywhere you look. See picture attached.

Fantastic experience: Recently joined here after trialling some other premium price gyms, and I have to say, this has been far superior thus far. Plenty of room for a variety of workouts Modern equipment Nice pool and spa area. Changing rooms use a wristband mechanism for locking lockers. So no need for a lock Only 2 slight downsides- the machine for drying swimming shorts is broken and yet to be fixed. The gym is a bit hot. Negative experience: Been trying since July 2020 to get a response from Member Services to a simple question I asked about their offer to freeze memberships. Have written several emails and got automated responses saying they are very busy and my request will be answered as soon as possible. It's now the end of November and still heard nothing! That's over 4 months! However, I note that they weren't too busy to take money from my account in November with no explanation what it's for. No one answers phone calls or emails. What do I do? I really hope someone from the Village reads this.

Fantastic experience: No one REALLY loves going to the gym but the Village in Bromborough has some great facilities and has recently had a refurb of its showers. There's plenty of equipment in the main gym plus loads of other classes and opportunities to sweat! I've been a member there for 20 years so they must be doing something right!

Negative experience: Trying to cancel my membership and no one responds via email and the phone just rings out. I was told the pool was perfect for swimming lengths off-peak and it isn't fit for purpose. No one enforces the 'clockwise' swimming sign they have placed at the edge of the pool and it's a nightmare to swim. They're keen to sign you up and take your money but when it comes to cancelling they all hide away. NOT HAPPY. Response below. Hilariously validating my point. 2 months to get a reply from the company! Sounds about right. Useless.

Negative experience: ladies changing area is so dirty ans sticky (you must bring your slippers) there are little bugs everywhere. The door of the steam room specially the lower third is very dirty. It seemed some one throw up in the shower and no one bothered to clean( at least for the one hour I was there) the worst trap is that if you become a member there is no way to cancel or freeze your account. Members are frustrated. I have plenty evidence of my claims. Just avoid for the sake of your health and money

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs utter con artists when it comes to cancelling your contract, pursuing an 83 year old man with debt collection agents, while he was in hospital & had been a member for over 10 years.

Positive experience: A familiar gym, quite expensive. . Good equipment. Squash courts, court 2 often needs cleaning. Good classes, body pump, spin and others. Showers ok.

Negative experience: Came here for a 'relaxing spa day' from Groupon and although the Espa side was ok for the price the gym/pool side was terrible. The village hotel is the perfect example of breaking up what I suppose a high class hotel/retreat into multiple public businesses to the detriment of the ethos and clientele. The pool is basically a public baths. On the day my wife and I went there were so many things that ruined the relaxation of the experience. Despite being mid week it was very busy, god knows what it would be like on a weekend. The men's changing rooms were being refurbished so could not be used and I was directed to the tiny family changing room that was very busy with semi-naked men whilst mothers were trying to change their children. The private cubicles for mother/baby changing were all full and when I got in one found it DISGUSTING in cleanliness. In the pool they now run a aquarobics class presumably to cash in more. It was on whilst we were and the smallthere taking up 75% of the pool was on whilst we were there, it took up 75% of the small pool with the large class and the instructor was playing dance music full blast whilst screaming to her class to be heard. There was no room to swim nor was it relaxing. Only one of the poolside showers worked so there was always a queue. Since the men's changing room was closed they had a sign on poolside explaining males were to go into the female changing room and females the family room were I'd just come from. My wife walked in on several naked men which was highly embarrassing. When she told the young male pool attendant that the sign was wrong he just said "oh yeah" and that was it! The spa itself was ok for the price but it just did not have the feeling of a high class relaxing establishment - we were charged five pounds each to rent a towel (a spa day that doesn't come with them???), the 'relaxing' music was too loud, there was no water in the jug in the lounge which by the way was very small, dark and pokey. Not relaxing. small/dark. The spa treatments were ok albeit slightly on the light handed side but the staff were friendly. All told the day was not relaxing and we will not be returning here!
