Positive experience: The hour-long full body massage had a consistent rhythm, but it felt a bit repetitive as the same light technique was used on different parts of my body. I was instructed to stay face down for the entire session, and only one side of my body was worked on. I was also told that the massage therapist at this location are not trained in deeper work.

Fantastic experience: I was welcomed at reception with smiles and kind words. The venue was clean, had a great atmosphere and all staff were polite and respectful. I had a great massage from Chloe who applied pefect pressure for me, but checked it was ok. She had a good rhythm which sent me into my happy place and an added bonus was no loud music, just calm. Will certainly return and also recommend to my friends.

Positive experience: It is a beautiful building, the garden was not great. But our room was a corner sea view, amazing view and very nice size hotel room. The pillows were thin and the size of a cushions. The bed was two singles pushed together on wheels. If someone got out the bed it moved. The smoking area was tatty, half the glass was missing from the shelter. We ordered two small chips which they charged £18. Most of the staff were friendly. One reception lady was rude and didn’t even smile. Downstairs was lovely and clean. We did find a dead wasp and some spiders in our room, but suppose that’s nature.

Fantastic experience: Such a relaxing experience! Therapist was an amazing masseuse. My only critique would be that the therapy room was slightly colder than I would have liked - maybe next time I will ask for an extra towel accross feet and arms if I am chilly - otherwise, felt wholly pampered and looked after - I will be booking again.

Fantastic experience: Me and my partner had full body massages. Mine was done by Hayley and my partner's by Sophie. Both ladies were lovely, welcoming and professional. Thank you for the quality massages! The relaxation area where we could chill before and after our treatments was also a nice touch. The pool area was well kept and clean. More spacious than expected. Helpful staff. We made use of the pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which added to our hotel experience there! We went towards the end of the day so wasn't too busy so was nice and relaxing. The changing area was also well kept.

Fantastic experience: I was here to sing in the foyer with Shepway Voices,amazing front entrance,reception staff,bar staff were amazingly receptive,courteous,welcoming.I had a large pot of tea whilst awaiting all members of the choir to arrive.We performed 2 half am hour sets,the toilets were amazing too.xxx Wonderfully welcoming, I will be returning in the New Year for afternoon tea(don't mind if just do)

Fantastic experience: Chloe was great. It was my first visit. I had a relaxing massage and lifting facial. I was so relaxed and forgot the world for an hour and a half. I’ve been to places where the therapist has talked through the treatments - other than explaining everything and checking I was ok with the pressure, Chloe allowed me to silently float away while she did her thing. This was much appreciated and meant I could fully immerse myself into full relaxation mode. The atmosphere, soothing music and relaxation room afterwards was wonderful too. I’ve booked again to see Chloe. Thanks so much.

Fantastic experience: I had a full body massage today with Sophie and it was just what I needed. I had no idea how much tension I was holding and after a firm massage, I felt really relaxed and far less troubled. This is my 2nd massage at Hythe Imperial Spa Hotel (my 1st was with Zoe) and I can highly recommend both Zoe & Sophie on my own personal experience. I will definitely be booking again, in the next couple of weeks.

Positive experience: A friendly place with character to improve your health and fitness. I am now updating this review due to having some issues regarding the facilities for disabled, specifically the state of the disabled changing room. I have reported the problems to the reception and really do hope they repair/renew things. The issues being the tap to the basin is stiff so if like me part of your disability relates to your hands then you can't turn the tap on. Then the shower head will not stay in place on the riser rail meaning you have to hold it. Not great when you are disabled! The folding hand rails are so rusty and really look like they are overdue for replacing. The water doesn't drain properly from the shower leaving a pool of water in the middle. This is a safety issue as someone could slip and fall asleep well as it making life difficult when you are trying to get dry and dressed. I am disappointed but thought I should update my review as other people with disabilities may find it helpful.

Negative experience: Lovely room, friendly staff and great breakfast however, really disappointed with the spa. It looked very run down and not very clean, steam room not working, glass doors to garden were dirty so couldn't enjoy looking out, such a shame as it could be lovely.

Positive experience: Hythe Imperial is cute. It offers something that isn't really offered anywhere in the local area for a 15 mile radius... Have tried Bannatynes locally and would choose Hythe Health Club over them. Staff are always polite and helpful. Swimming pool isn't ever jam packed. Sauna is an added welcoming bonus and the Steam room I am yet to try. Only thing I will say that holds its back is it needs a revamp. The showers especially at the ones in the swimming sauna area are especially poor. Areas of damp need addressing.. The minor things that would bring it on bar with its biggest competitor in the area. Hasn't changed.
