Fantastic experience: We have a Walking Football group playing here two sessions a week. The facilities are excellent for hosting anything from 5 a side to 8 a side. All outdoor pitches have 3G surfaces.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, great facilities and a variety of classes and activities. Lovely staff, would highly reccomend.

Positive experience: A convenient gym with very good football pitches and other sporting equipment. It's not the cheapest which is why I may reconsider other options when my contract is up but location spot-on for me. The gym itself has all the necessities required but I do find the air con pretty average. For someone that runs, bikes etc, this should be better which can be very frustrating!

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, helpful staff. Great parking facilities. Great equipment. Excellent air-conditioned gym and sports hall. Excellent outdoor sports facilities. Competitive membership fees. Not the cheapest but very good value. I would recommend to anyone looking for a local out of town gym and sports centre.

Positive experience: I like Beaconside Fitness, it's a pretty good gym, reasonably priced, friendly and well equipped enough for most people. Only gripe is sometimes it gets a bit busy with groups of youngsters (teenage lads can get a bit excitable and mess about) and if there's a class going on in the floor area it can be a bit limiting in terms of equipment such as kettlebells etc. Just keep an eye on the time tables and plan accordingly!

Fantastic experience: This review is more nostalgic for me, as Beaconside sports centre used to be my gym when Staffordshire university was based at the 'stafford campus'. Was ideal being in halls at the time as only a stones throw from the gym. That being said, I owe a lot of my first 'newbie gains' to this gym when i was 18yo, and was the first place that I really found a passion to want to keep training. From the recent photos it has of course massively changed, considering it was 2007/2008 when i went here last, but seems like its evolved with even better equipment, both CV and weights and still looks like it has a good member base. Just glad to see it still up and running, and hopefully will continue to do so. Not so much a 'current review', but if i can vouch for this place over a decade ago, it certainly must be an even better place to train today.

Fantastic experience: My daughter plays county standard badminton and we have used the courts here for both her training and county matches. The facilities have always been good but new lights have now been fitted. The lights are excellent !! Bright and well positioned for badminton making playing in the hall a much better experience. I would recommend the facility for recreational and competitive badminton players alike. The people working at the centre are fab too and can’t do enough for you

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff and amazing facilities at Beaconside Sports & Fitness Centre. They offer a wide range of sports facilities including a gym, football pitches, sports hall & changing facilities. The new lights in the sports hall are first class and there is plenty of parking on site too!

Fantastic experience: Well what can I say about Beaconside Gym, one word home. I joined the gym back in April, but really started to access it in September. I use the main gym or attend spin classes with Helen or Angie. They are amazing instructors and certainly help get you through the session. As for the day to day staff at the gym they are just as amazing. Always welcome you with a smile, and are on hand should you have any question or queries. For anyone who is thinking about joining a gym. I'd say make beaconside your first choice.

Fantastic experience: My sons kick boxing club uses the centre of a Saturday, the staff are freindly and the amenities are very good.

Positive experience: Super helpful staff in allowing me to take an aerial photo of the Floodlit cage pitches. Thanks to the players who were also happy for me to take the photo during their matches. Plenty of parking and great facility for sports fanatics or those that just enjoy a knock with their mates!

Fantastic experience: Been going to this gym for quite some time now, the staff are so friendly, the gym is often nicely busy but not overcrowded. They've just put in another machine, excellently laid out space with lots of machines and options. If you're looking for a small to medium sized gym that has a good selection of machines for weights & cardio, this is the spot.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic centre for sport and fitness. Group activities inside the sports hall or out on the tennis courts and astro turf pitches Walking netball enjoy a two hour training session every Thursday from 1-3pm and an hour on Mondays from 6-7 pm . Fabulous for fitness fun friendship and netball skills. The fitness suites have a number of high tech machines to develop strength and stamina. Children's holiday activities in half terms and holidays are very popular A large car park too. A new addition is a tanning room .

Negative experience: Parking is awful,,,, only able to pay by phone What if you hadn't got a phone,,,, or a bank card, with you,,,, please put in a pay and display machine

Positive experience: Good for indoor sports. Gym is not that good.

Positive experience: Decent sports hall. Ridiculous to chasers for parking over 2 hours. Using to pay twice for paying a fixture

Positive experience: Great little gym with lots of equipment and friendly staff. Lots of classes included with my membership should I choose to do them but they fill up quickly. Wish it was a bit bigger and opened earlier (especially at weekends) but it's handy with it being so close. Not sure I'll be able to stay long term as I'd like to get there earlier than it opens so I can do a work out before work.

Negative experience: Gets very busy in peak hours - gym is too small to accommodate the number of members. Had mixed experiences with staff, with some being nice but others being very rude. Also the prices are being increased too, so I decided to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Excellent sports and leisure facility close to Stafford. Staff give me the impression of being switched on, friendly and focused on customer satisfaction. Great gym with plenty of excellent equipment. All areas are clean tidy and up to date.

Positive experience: Good hockey pitch and nice changing facilities.

Positive experience: I play badminton here, its a nice sports hall. Biggest issue I have is that the nets are longer than the width of the courts so I can never get them perfectly set up. I don't know why they would even make nets at that width.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy the variety of classes and as a full member you are able to join in with as many as you like. The instructors are all very nice and helpful. The gym equipment is good and there is large range to choose from to suit your workout.

Positive experience: Good gym, my preferred in Stafford, not a huge variety of machines and equipment though but (used to have) good prices plus extra facilities like astro turf field and other halls inside for basketball etc.
