Fantastic experience: I have been visiting the Lansbury Heritage Hotel once a month for their brilliant spa services. The reason I am writing a review for the hotel is the amazing Mr Kabiri, who welcomes the guests of the hotel and provides any help they require. I have no words to describe how kind, how wonderful and helpful Mr Kabiri has been! His patience, his attention to detail, his whole behaviour and demeanour makes the guest feel so comfortable, so special and unique! He is one of the best concierge men I have ever met in a hotel and I would like to congratulate the Lansbury Heritage Hotel for choosing such excellent staff, with such ethos like Mr Kabiri! He is a true asset to your establishment and you are very lucky to have him! I will keep my spa subscription indefinitely, as this hotel with its whole team is a happy place indeed!

Negative experience: It is the first time that I am asked to pay an extra amount of 40 GBP for an early check in at 12:10 ! The room is obviously available but they have asked me to pay to prioritize the cleaning! Now that I have showed up here they could help me to prioritize the cleaning for free but The guys at the reception desk insistedly told me that it is a hotel policy and didn’t want to help me at all!! (Last week I was in Wien and the hotel there had a even offered me a free upgrade since the room was not ready for an early checkin. See the difference?) I have not chosen this Lansbury hotel it was my company who paid for it and I am so unhappy to be here from the very first moment of my arrival! Very bad customer experience of mine! I would never recommend this place !

Fantastic experience: Our stay at the Lansbury Heritage was honestly nothing short of incredible. The rooms were comfortable. The amenities were great. Very considerate ground rules for our the guests. But, what really stood out was the incredible staff. I am very particular and sometimes make requests most guests probably never have to consider. They were very accommodating and always welcomed me with a warm smile and friendly smile. ABDUL was so incredibly helpful. I must’ve approached him at least 15 times for questions and he never failed. Thank you for letting us stay.

Fantastic experience: This really is a fantastic hotel. I stayed for 2 nights on a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful and the staff really went above and beyond to make my stay.

Positive experience: Not bad, few bulbs in the room not working, no smart TV's....staff were very friendly, odd with the £100 deposit, even though you have fully paid for all.

Negative experience: Cold pizza. No room service as they have no staff. Literally one person who will not leave the desk. I have an allergy and they can not give me new bedding until 11pm when the reception staff do a swap. So much for an early night.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff, nicely furbished hotel rooms and quite comfortable for a business traveller. Stayed here for two nights and loved my stay.

Negative experience: I recently stayed at the Lansbury Hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to several issues that affected the quality of my stay. The main issue was the noise from the room above. We were constantly disturbed by loud stomping noises, which were so severe that they caused the chandelier in our room to rattle. This disruption was particularly troubling during the night, waking us up on numerous occasions. We captured video evidence of these disturbances and reported the issue to the reception. While the staff took our video to show to the duty manager, no resolution was provided during our stay. Furthermore, I attempted to address these concerns via email and social media after checking out, but have yet to receive a response from the hotel. Additionally, we found that the complimentary sauna and steam room were not operational when we tried to use them in the morning. This was disappointing as these amenities were a key reason for choosing this hotel. On a positive note, the hotel itself is clean, spacious, and located in a great area. However, due to the lack of sleep from the noise disturbances and the inability to use the advertised facilities, our stay fell short of expectations. Overall, despite the hotel's appealing aspects, the issues we encountered significantly impacted our experience.

Negative experience: Above all, I had the worst hotel experience ever. Here are the two main reasons: 1. On the second night I stayed at this hotel, the AC in my room suddenly started making noise at 3:09 a.m., which woke me up. I went to the reception, and the staff said he would contact the maintenance team. I then went back to the room and waited. When it was 3:39 a.m., as no one had come to solve the problem, I returned to the reception and asked for a new room. Only then did your colleague arrange another, smaller room for me to sleep in. Unfortunately, the review does not support uploading videos. Otherwise, I would share them with those looking for a hotel in London to help you avoid this one. 2. When the manager of this hotel contacted me, he pretended to apologize but actually passed the responsibility to me. First, the manager said that I should have reported the issue earlier, which is nonsense. The AC started to be quite noisy suddenly at 3:09 a.m. If this noise had existed earlier, how could I have endured it? How could I have fallen asleep? Second, he said the staff arranged a new room for me, which supposedly proved that they solved the problem swiftly. In fact, the staff just said he would contact the maintenance team when I came to the reception. After waiting for approximately half an hour without the problem being solved, I came to the reception again and asked for a new room to sleep in. The communication from the manager did not comfort me or provide a sincere apology; instead, it passed the responsibility to me and further wasted my time. As consumers, we should not waste our money, time, and mood staying at a hotel run by such an irresponsible team.

Fantastic experience: The room was spacious and very unique in design. I absolutely loved the closable sunroof in the room. The service was excellent and all the front desk personnel and spa/gym equipment worked and was clean. Anna in the kitchen was very friendly and courteous. The food quality was great. This was our first trip to England . The location was ideal The hotel was .2 mile from one train station and .5 mile from another train station which also has an underground mall. I highly recommend this hotel and if I ever back to London I know I will stay there again

Negative experience: AVOID AT ALL COSTS Came here for a stay with friends, staff were ok, room was ok, garden terrace was small. Before check out, we thoroughly checked the room to ensure nothing was left and the room was left how we found it. Upon checking my bank statement, the hotel had taken £50 from my account without any notification or any knowledge. When I checked with the hotel, the lady initially told me it was for the extra bed in our room. I informed the lady this had already been paid for. The hotel then advised me via email that this was due to bed linen being marked (with what looked like fake tan from the picture). On the same day as checkout, the money was taken. Which made me think that they just wanted to find an alternative excuse as the lady initially said it was for an extra bed? Apparently, they didn’t even attempt to wash the bedding and took the money? Having spoken with the hotel and told them that the room was checked prior, they told me that they only charged £50 instead of their standard £250 - for bedding which was ‘damaged’ but not even attempted to wash. Avoid!! Not worth the money!

Fantastic experience: So close, but a bit a Walk around to get to O2 and underground. The hotel was well worth it, staff really good and the breakfast was spot on. Lady in the breakfast area was very pleasant and helpful. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends

Fantastic experience: lovely boutique hotel We chose this hotel because of the location as we had tickets to two music shows. We can highly recommend it, as it did not disappoint: friendly service, nice room, quiet location despite being located in a streetcorner. The DLR is less than 5 min away.

Fantastic experience: Amazing location with just a 5 minute walk to Canary Wharf , rooms are clean, tidy and very spacious, bar could do with being open a bit later but overall a lovely hotel.

Positive experience: I have to give an honest appraisal of my visit this weekend which overall was very good... Though not excellent. It started off pretty well and the lady receptionist was very friendly. The room was ready before 3 which was a bonus. The room itself was lovely but it did have a slight musty smell which we only noticed as soon as we went in. It wasn't strong enough to make a complaint over. It was clean and tidy as was the bathroom. We used the sauna and steam room which was lovely and the whole spa area seemed top notch. We didn't use the gym. We left to go out for the evening and we were told beforehand that the main doors may be locked after midnight but to ring the doorbell for entry. We came back at 1130pm and the entrance was locked. We rung the doorbell several times and there was no reply. We noticed a telephone number on a notice on the window to ring and this was ring.... 12 times in fact in a 10 minute period that remained unanswered.. By this time another 5 or 6 guests were also waiting in the cold to go in. Thankfully it wasn't raining or we'd all be soaked through. On the 13th time of ringing it was answered and the night worker finally answer the door. Unless this was an emergency this was unacceptable and no reason was given. The rest of the stay thankfully went smoothly but the calculations of the Sunday receptionist trying to work out the breakfast prices for us and our friends left a lot to be desired. (breakfast was very nice, both continental and English to be fair) Overall a lovely stay... would I stay again..... Probably but I hope they sort out the night time procedure so people aren't locked out again.

Positive experience: Overall I enjoyed my stay at Lansbury Heritage Hotel. The architecture is beautiful, the room is well-decorated and cozy. The bathrooms are sparkling clean and the shower has good water pressure. Bed is super comfy. 10 minutes walk over the bridge to Canary Wharf for the underground. Couple minutes from DLR. There were a few reasons I did not rate it 5 stars. (1) The carpets and curtains need to be deep cleaned or replaced. (2) Regretfully paid for the poor quality, unhealthy breakfast (3) Water running/gurgling sounds late at night.

Positive experience: The room we had was very nice. The sound proofing could be better though. There was loud impact noise late at night which disrupted our sleep.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel ,high tech ,facilities are good techno gym on site steam room and sauna was a bonus after a work out . Bar and snack was limited but good. Team are very helpful

Tony Morris 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and a really posh place to stay. The sauna and steam room are very relaxing and the whole hotel is clearly well maintained. Advice though, don't use the Elizabeth Line to get there. The walk from the station to the hotel is very complex and made worse by building works, tracks and a main road with no foot bridge. Instead, use All Saints station on the DLR line. Way more simpler and nicer.

Negative experience: To start with it’s the worse customer service representative. The receptionist lady has horrible and the audacity of the old lady to be so rude was astonishing. I stayed in the hotel few times . Later today i went to ask her some information she had a grumpy face and wasn’t able to provide any information neither trying to be helpful later she was so rude and when i asked to call her manager she snapped and ask me to leave. Upto that i look a picture of her grumpy disgusting facial expression and she snatched my phone and threatened me. She also tried to hit me when i asked to give my phone back avoid these kinda od poor management place with no experience at any cost. Disgusted and traumatised

Positive experience: I’ve stayed at this hotel over five times, and one thing I’ve realised is that they never have consistent staff members which tells me that there is something wrong with the management. Half of the staff don’t know what they’re doing and the walls are so paper thin, you can hear the other rooms. Aside from this it is a very lovely hotel.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for one night and chose to have the ocatagonal room in the tower of the hotel. It didn't disappoint. The bed was massive and comfy, the bathroom was slighly small but nicely furnished, the room itself was spacious and clean. Being a techy I particularly enjoyed the connectivity of the room with the centrally managed light and AC system. Breakfast the following morning was ok, the sausages could do with changing as they're essentially cocktail sausages that have been recooked. The rest of the breakfast was nice, the eggs had soft runny yolks which at some hotels is hard to find. In terms of locality it was a 10/15 minute walk from Canary Wharf tube station and would be a 5 minute walk from Poplar DLR station. If you're looking to stay and play in Canary Wharf then I'd recommend the hotel. Early check in from midday was available for £20.00 which we made use of. I would stay here again.

Amanda Jackson 1 year ago

Positive experience: Hotel itself was absolutely beautiful in a fantastic location within a short walk to Canery Wharf. Room was gorgeous with everything you needed to hand. Luxurious Loccotaine toiletries in the bathroom too! Breakfast was not very nice, microwaved bacon and cooked cocktail sausages, but other items available were nice, the breakfast staff were lovely!l though! The hotel itself was a bit noisy throughout the night due to concert goers returning back to the hotel. But overall a nice stay.

Negative experience: This wasn't a 4* hotel for sure, just the looks of it's interior are kind of reminiscent of that. Let me say that the staff was very friendly and helpful at all times except for the fact that we stayed a couple of days without room cleaning service except for when we asked to and the air-conditioning unit needed to be serviced and was most likely missing fluids. Other than that though the breakfast was just beans, bacon, sausages, mushrooms and hash browns plus a few pastries. Also due to us being on the ground floor we couldn't open our windows to let in some fresh air. But the worst was the food from the restaurant, we got served multiple plates that had just been heated up and what's worst is that half the food was still cold! (Try eating cold chicken wings and tortillas). All in all it was a poor experience.

Positive experience: I have stayed here a few times, and I have to say the building is beautiful, and the rooms I stayed in have been nice apart from an issue with the bathroom fan not turning off in one and a bit of a musty smell. The location is also pretty good for proximity to canary wharf. The issue I had was the service and the hotels policy on "damages." I completely understand that damages have to be paid for but to be charged 1/2 the room rate for a small patch of spilt wine on the bed linen (which would be washed out) and the floor is ridiculous. This charge was also taken without me being notified or invoiced and when I queried it, I was told thanks for my feedback but this is policy, they have to charge for specialist cleaning and they sent the invoice to the wrong email. I have attached a photo I was sent which shows the mark is smaller than a Mobile phone. As a hotel, I would have assumed they would account for small accidental spillages from things like food, drinks, makeup ect. I would definitely not feel comfortable staying here again as I would now worry if I accidentally dropped something like foundation while getting ready, would I be charged again

Positive experience: Good location and a fabulous heritage building. Staff are professional and friendly. Had initial problem with damp smell and got moved immediately, to similar room which seemed a little more tired. Room carpet needs cleaning and bathroom needs re sealing around bath. Breakfast a tad disappointing as not enough healthy options but made acceptable by amazing home cooked bread. Second nights sleep very disturbed by selfish guest having alarm ringing in middle of the night followed by slamming of doors. Not the hotels fault but really needed to sleep. Overall 4 out of 5

George Whitehead 2 years ago

Positive experience: Wonderful building tastefully and intelligently converted. The room we had was good, but badly let down by the state of the carpet. Noise proofing could be a lot better. Breakfast was a buffet which was tired and dry by 9.45.

Negative experience: Disgusting hotel, Cockroaches in the rooms, houdorous corridors, unprofessional and unhelpful staff and management and no compensation for the worst stay. It would have been better staying at a hostel. This is NOT a 4 star hotel, I do not recommend booking this hotel.

Negative experience: Avoid. I had a booking at this hotel with a free cancellation window. About 15 hours after the free cancellation window it became evident that due to pregnancy-related illness we will not be able to travel and had to cancel our trip to London. I contacted this hotel on 2 different platforms explaining my situation and was met with zero empathy and a patronising tone. My request for an act of grace to waive the cancellation fee was rejected. Not even a discounted cancellation rate was offered. They said I could rebook my stay, however, there was a deadline on this, which, given the nature of my pregnancy I definitely won't be able to meet. On top of this, I was met with patronising tone where staff said in a message: 'congratulations on being a mother'. I'm in a genuine situation and I explained this to the hotel, even while revealing some very personal details. My email that I sent to the hotel has been ignored. Having read the reviews, this hotel appears to respond mostly to positive reviews and choose to ignore the constructive feedback provided. I'm very upset by the lack of understanding but also about how someone decided that it was okay to say to a pregnant woman 'congratulations on being a mother'. 4 star service? I don't think so.

Fantastic experience: Stayed 5 nights for vacation last year. Close from the station, clean and nice room, friendly staffs!

John Keaney 2 years ago

Positive experience: I was here for a week on business and we has a room on 2 levels, the stairs were steep to the bedroom the bathroom downstairs not ideal in the middle of the night! I had to leave a desk light on downstairs so I could negotiate the stair in the dark! The left 2 small bottles of water in the fridge to last 5 nights and once gone it was £1.50 a bottle, my room was £163 per night, you couldn't make that up! If a different person was in the room each night they would have 2 bottles each day so why they can replenish I'm not sure but smacks of greed. The breakfast was very nice and the lady in the breakfast room very pleasant. It was handy for Canary Wharf but apart from that I'd avoid this hotel or ask for a room on one level.

Saffron Jones 2 years ago

Negative experience: Unfortunately, my generally positive experience with the rooms was overshadowed by the lacklustre service I received from the hotel staff. On the day of check-in, I arrived at the hotel with a significant amount of luggage and young children. I was struggling to manage everything, and it was quite evident. However, not a single staff member offered to assist me with the doors or luggage - even though they could see me trying to enter the hotel from where they were positioned at reception. The next day, I approached the reception desk with a small item I needed to dispose of. Instead of allowing me to use the nearby bin, I was directed to go outside of the hotel as the one right next to him was a "staff bin." This seemed like an unnecessary inconvenience and a rigid adherence to a policy that was clearly inconsiderate. There were other occasions in my short stay that felt as though they continually prioritised trivial policies over kindness and general courtesy. I at no point was asking for the extra mile, but just a few centimetres and that seemed like it was entirely too much. I believe that a hotel experience should encompass not only comfortable accommodations but also attentive and helpful service. Unfortunately Lansbury Heritage Hotel fell short in this regard. I would not recommend it to others, and I am unlikely to return in the future. I hope the management takes note of these concerns and strives to improve the level of service to match the quality of their rooms.

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful anniversary celebration at Lansbury Heritage Hotel! Abdul at the front desk was truly amazing, welcoming us with a warm heart. Our check-in was smooth, and our room was beautifully decorated, creating a gorgeously romantic atmosphere, thanks to the hotel staff's attention to detail. We enjoyed the well-equipped gym and the serene sauna and steam room, where we relaxed for quite some time. The bar served great drinks, and the peaceful garden was the perfect spot to unwind. Highly recommend this place for a special getaway! ✨ #AnniversaryBliss #LansburyHeritageHotel

Negative experience: It’s such a pity to have to give such a review, the rooms are nice and modern, the staff were nice too. They only serve breakfast, no lunch nor dinner so u have to order/ buy food outside, the hotel then provides u cutlery and plates to eat your food. I was able to store my leftover food in the fridge in the room. However, when I needed to warm the food, they said the microwave is only for the staff!!?? I then asked how we were meant to eat, since they didn’t provide food onsite and I had injured myself so couldn’t even go downstairs to the lobby talk less of go out to get food, the staff repeated the same thing- the microwave is only for the staff!! So I had to throw away my food and order food again on Ubereats!

Fantastic experience: Great location, so convenient for Canary Wharf - can even see the hotel’s tower from Upper Bank St; I’m surprised you don’t project ‘Lansbury Hotel’ on to the tower using lights at night to raise awareness!

Fantastic experience: What can I say, truly exceptional service, cleanliness throughout and staff were just so friendly and helpful. We stayed for a couple of nights to celebrate our 22nd anniversary and was not disappointed with our decision. Great location, within walking distance to canary wharf and the DLR station was just round the corner. Hotel does have it's own parking, but on a early booking process. The room was spacious and full of character, with all controls for lighting, air con etc controlled through menu on TV. Very well thought out and the bed was very conformable, slept like a baby Hotel booking also included complimentary Spa, unfortunately for us we did not have the time to make use of it, too busy walking and enjoying the local sites. But something that other clients would definitely appreciate. A big Thankyou to Rupesh for making our stay enjoyable and not forgetting other members of staff on rotation. We definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future.

Fantastic experience: Great little hotel. Very nice staff. The rooms are amazing. Very modern lights etc but all while maintaining the character of it. Close to the tube. And close to bars and restaurants in Canary Wharf. Would stay again. Comfy beds.

Negative experience: Start with parking, and the fact you have to get the key from reception, and battle a chain, padlock and huge heavy gates on your own, then the car park itself is cramped and congested, with no clear markings, all for an extra £25!. In the room the carpet was stained, Bathroom was old, broken and dirty, and the fridge did not work!! we had paid an extra £60 for a room upgrade , supposedly with a "Landmark view" and it was a tiny! The "view" was of someone else's washing lines, see photo, no “Landmark view” there! Club room was so small and cramped, not even floor space for a bed, the bed was on a mezzanine floor above, but the stairs were VERY steep, (loo in the night was dangerous!) Complaining isn't an option, Sara, the Duty manager, didn't care, she obviously very used to these complaints. After complaining about our room we were made to feel very unwelcome, Sara went out of her way to be unhelpful! A junior member of staff tried to be nice, saying we could use the terrace for 5 minutes, when it was due to be closing, but when we came down it had been locked by her.

Fantastic experience: What a beautiful view in the privilege room on the 6th floor. Overlooking the castle and the Walter scout monument, decent size but fully equipped room. Balcony was a great plus. Location is the best and walking distance to most of the attractions, bars, shopping, monuments.

Fantastic experience: A modern and spruced boutique hotel with a nice character. Have stayed here twice and it’s close to DLR for 20 mins into the city and far enough away for non-central London hotel prices. Perfect for short trips and a hotel with clean, comfortable and tasteful rooms.

Negative experience: The rooms were not very well cooled. They need bigger units for thier tall ceilings. Also had issues with bugs. Pretty good bit away from anything of importance.

Stacey Hobbs 2 years ago

Negative experience: Hotel is HOT! Hotel advertises air con, and there is a unit, but the blower doesn’t work. It’s hotter in room than the hall. Staff called maintenance who declared the unit in working order. Windows don’t open either. For security reasons?! This has been the worst hotel stay ever. Room and bath are pretty and all, but not worth it for a bad nights sleep.

Fantastic experience: We had the very best experience in every way at this beautiful historic hotel! Their service and attention to your comfort is top notch! We stayed in one of the Octagonal rooms and it was so pretty. And the very comfortable bed provided good rest from jet lag. Sara Dell’Antoglietta was so helpful in so many different ways. From helping us at the front desk, to later serving us in the bar/restaurant, even going the extra mile to bringing our food delivery order to us. She also suggested we explore a very ancient church next to the Lansbury. We now have great pictures of St Matthias Church, built in the 12 century. We also got to enjoy an English style breakfast! We never saw so many different and delicious foods for breakfast. We now plan on having beans and roasted tomatoes for our breakfasts back here in Ohio. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Very polite and professional and looked after me well during my stay. My room was clean and comfortable and the hotel has a lovely gym with high tec equipment. The spa was also fantastic! The hotel is very luxurious and has undergone a beautiful restoration to maintain the heritage of the building. The food was delicious with many homemade items. Overall, an excellent stay with fantastic staff. Thank you x

Only carried cash with me luckily the shop next door had a payzone feature, because the hotel requires a deposit whilst staying with them. Sara on check in was superb, she was very patient with me due to the above. She told my partner about the heritage of the Hotel and how it became a Hotel, etc. Not only was she approachable but super friendly. Check in was very smooth- Sara advised us where to go to eat and explained everything to us. The Sauna and Steam room was such a lovely experience Sara again came and showed us around. The room was like something out of a Disney film. Anna at Breakfast was very smily, nothing was to much for her, she even made my partner a hot chocolate as it wasn’t included but was done very smoothly. Breakfast had a really good choice. The bed was very comfy, the Air C got some getting use to but was fine in the end. Stole on check out was lovely asked how our stay was and is there anything else he could for us. He went out of his way to make sure we had a good stay. Informed us about the deposit being refunded etc. Nothing was too much for the team. I was visiting the excel which was only 8 minutes drive away. Staff 10/10 Breakfast 10/10 Room 10/10 Thank you team see you again Kelly ❤️

Fantastic experience: A beautiful hotel, very elegant... location good as it was quiet but very easy to get into central London...The staff were helpful, courteous and friendly, thanks in particular to Stole on reception...excellent. The room with a mezzanine bedroom was well equipped and felt very grand...impressed with the breakfast served to the room...and arrived promptly. Bonus is the parking facility on site...Would definitely use this hotel again.

Fantastic experience: Booked this hotel on the look initially and once I looked at room detail, it was a no brained. Once we arrived, we parked our car in the previously booked parking area. Some would say a little expensive at £25 per day but try finding the same in central London! Checked in, the staff were great, helpful, pleasant and went out of their way to chat with us. It's a small hotel but seems so much bigger. The rooms are full of modern gimmicks and we're just what we needed. The breakfast room/bar was so homely yet sumptuous and the food was plentiful, delicious and there was plenty of choice. We would definitely recommend and certainly would return, made our short stay perfect.

Positive experience: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the Christmas holidays. The bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is also just a few blocks from the Canary Wharf train and underground station. The station is attached to a nice shopping mall with multiple places to eat and even an ice skating rink. The only criticism we had with the hotel was with the bathroom. Although it was nice and large, the layout was poorly done. There was a lot of unused space that could have been used for a chest of drawers or a dresser. The sink cabinet was so close to the commode that our knees bumped it each time we sat down. Worse, there was no shower door or curtain to keep the water near the drain. There were no floor mats over a slick tile floor, which got even slicker as the water spread and the floor got wet. If we hadn't thrown several towels on the floor we would have slipped down trying to make it out of the shower area. This is dangerous and needs fixing before someone hurts themself.

Positive experience: A beautiful modern boutique hotel. Our room was lovely. The only criticism of it was the poor supplies of milk. Minor, but for the price of the room I think a few more of those tiny pots of milk would not have broke the bank. We turned up early before our check in but was told the bar only opened between 7-9pm. Must have missed this on their website but again this is a bit poor. Overall, it was a nice stay and good spot for Canary Wharf and the O2 Arena.

Positive experience: We went for a spa retreat. I can't say I was impressed. The sauna was very small but hot. The steam room was ok but the facilities pretty much stopped there. No plunge, no pool. We did get the occasional whiff of stagnant water that they tried to cover up with really strong air freshener which was not nice at all. The room was clean though the heating controls were at reception so we had to ask them to make adjustments from the desk but the night service receptionist didn't know how to do that. The other observation was that there was no shower glass in the room so the entire floor got wet requiring one to remove socks or wear shoes to use the toilet. I'm sorry I don't have anything really positive to say

Fantastic experience: We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Lansbury, the building is beautiful. Our club room was immaculate, beautiful high ceilings, loved the controls for the lights and thermostat via the TV remote. The staff were also so friendly and welcoming which really does make all the difference. There was nothing I would have changed and we will definitely be coming back Thank you all at Lansbury Heritage Hotel!

Fantastic experience: Loved it The decor of the hotel is amazing well maintained. The staff was courteous and fun they love people taking pictures which is a big positive. They decorated the property so well and creatively. They provide complimentary sauna and gym. Cons not really but good to know: The rooms were a bit small but I love that they were technologically nice with a electric fireplace. You have to change the lift to reach 3 rd floor and lift was too slow but looking at the heritage hotel Providing you with lift it’s not so bad. But I won’t mind the cons as they have maintained it really well feels like royal.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing time at the Lansbury heritage hotel, the room was very spacious and looked luxurious, the staff at the bar restaurant was so polite, food was nice and hot, cold food was layered out neatly, the spa/sauna and steam room was an extraordinary experience. Just want to give a massive Thank-you to Staff Dragan for being so helpful and polite, he made us feel very welcome

It is wonderful place to stay, our room and the bathroom were big, the team is very kind, plus we enjoyed the spa center, this service was included in our rate. Fantastic experience: Cozy and clean hotel with a nice duplex room. Located relatively close to the O2 venue (less than 15 min drive). I enjoyed the £15 full breakfast and the complimentary mini bar.

Positive experience: Nice place, lovely staff, clean rooms. Its just a shame that you have to pay such a high deposit for your room when you check in, not really on for such a nice place.

Fantastic experience: Short review of relevant info: Fantastic service! Really felt like a welcome guest. Rooms: Great and very clean. Neat and tidy roomservice. Slightly noisy if you have noisy neifhbours. Location: Very close to public transport. Easy to reach. Nice views of the towers on canary warf. Can "feel" sketchy at night. Very quiet. But we experienced no real trouble.

Fantastic experience: We had such a special 2 night stay (wish it was longer!) at the Lansbury Hotel. We had the Octagonal Tower room for our anniversary which is such a gorgeous room. We were a little worried as we were staying there during the heatwave (it was 37 outside) but our room had air conditioning controls which was very very appreciated. My husband also loved the fact that all the lights could be controlled via the TV! The only shame was that the LEDs on the ceiling didn't work but that didn't bother us at all! The room itself was huge, with a separate bathroom off a small private corridor into the room. We were expecting it to be noisy at night with the airport, tube and general traffic but we slept soundly and it was very quiet! Genuinely did not hear any trains of planes all night! As soon as we arrived staff were attentive and friendly, providing us with chocolate and drinks in our mini fridge. They have a lovely terrace which was lovely for enjoying a glass of prosecco or two! In terms of the location we used the tube to travel most of the time, which was fine and we frequeny walked into Canary Wharf for breakfast or coffee! It's not on the tubes doorstep, but only a 10 min walk away which was nice. We had a lovely stay, and wish we could have stayed longer! I will be recommending this hotel to anyone who plans to stay in London.

Fantastic experience: Me and my wife have spent a part of our honeymoon here and everything is wonderful : architecture, layout, location and connections to the City, cleanliness of both rooms and bathrooms, the service and all the staff have been outstanding. Thank you to Lucy and all the family : Ovidiu, Viktorja, Bunmi, Sara, Vanessa, the girls from the kitchen and restaurant, the cleaning and maintenance team, everyone has been impeccable. I apologise, if I forgot to mention anyone, thank you again for your time and effort, we wish you all the best! Hope to see you soon...

Fantastic experience: It was a nice visit at the Lansbury yesterday. The hotel is small but with brand new looks, yet carry an antique impression! The special design of the wooden loft in the hotel room is what impressed me. It is an unique building in the neighborhood!

Fantastic experience: Hotel very welcoming and clean - staff couldn't be better, we stayed in the Octigan room and it surpassed my expectations with a coffee machine, tea making facilities with fridge stocked with water and milks, they thought of everything including cosy dressing gowns and air conditioning which is a must at the moment in the hot weather, and the room was furnished to a high standard. Breakfast was buffet style but still catered for every need including cereals and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. I look forward to staying in this hotel again.

Fantastic experience: Me and my fiancee stayed for 3 nights Sunday to Wednesday morning we loved it. The room was amazing everything was great the only small thing was the shower cubicle was on the small side but that is clutching at straws. We didn't get time to use the spa or the restaurant but we intend to do that on our next stay. The location is perfect 5 min walk from canary wharf underground station we throughly recommend!

Negative experience: The impressions of the hotel were positive, the disappointment came later. For over a week now, I have been sending e-mails to the reception of this hotel asking for my deposit back. The hotel staff wrote to me information about refund - 7 working days. Unfortunately nothing has been sent to my account. So I started to post again on this, and I am now talking to a completely different person. This person claims these funds are in my account. Unfortunately I didn't get them back from the momet when I left the hotel. It's a nice place, but it is a pity that contact with the reception is so difficult.

Positive experience: Probably the most mixed hotel experience I've ever had. First off, the front of house staff were impeccable. They were fantastic, top notch, couldn't do enough for me. 10/10 to them. The octagonal room I stayed in was absolutely beautiful. However the unbearable stench of overpowering air freshener on arrival was absolutely disgusting. I went to open a window and not a single one opened. As someone who renovates sash windows it beggars belief that they would go to the trouble of having replacement windows made but with no pulleys and weights and painted them shut. Absolutely bizarre, and incredibly claustrophobic. The area this gorgeous expensive hotel in is deprived. I enjoyed a serenade of expletives one night as a man from one of the flats opposite threatened to kill his upstairs neighbour. It certainly reminded me why I left the East End. I had dinner one night and pre booked it as that is how they operate. Upon arrival at the arranged time to the empty restaurant the single person there seemed surprised and somewhat put out. Didn’t know what my order was and they hadn't prepared it. I wasn't asked if I wanted anything to drink so had to ask myself. Very unusual for any restaurant! The meal was adequate but it didn't match the standard of a 4 star hotel. The pasta was overcooked and the carbonara sauce was clearly from a packet. I had to wait ages to be asked if I wanted anything else and the sticky toffee pudding was burned and hard and chewy. Not pleasant. I would have liked a drink afterwards but I felt like the person just wanted me gone so I left. The buffet breakfast was fine and a reasonable price for London, but they use the cheapest nastiest sausages you can imagine. The sauna was great and I felt very looked after when visiting it last thing before they closed it. I was given a locker key and a bote of water and felt very welcome. I would stay again but only on a cheaper day. I unfortunately had to stay on the Jubilee weekend due to a rescheduled concert and it was twice the price I would have normally paid.

Positive experience: Spotlessly clean and modern hotel, friendly staff. Located around 15 minutes walk from nearest tube station in a quite area. Well priced for London. Only irritations being AC and lighting overly fussy to control with weak AC output, shower room fan noisy and ran a long time after the light was switched off.
