Fantastic experience: Good gym!

Positive experience: It's Pure Gym. No frills gym at a decent price with no long term contract. Central location in Nuneaton. Open 24x7. Spacious and spread over two floors. Lots of equipment. Clean and with a good temperature. Enthusiastic staff. So far so good. It can be busy, even at 5:30am, and around 5-6:30pm can feel a bit crowded, especially with members waiting for classes. Saturday and Sunday evenings are generally quiet in my experience. The central location means no on-site car park - 2hr free parking is available at the nearby multistorey but you have to get your ticket stamped etc. Also the area just outside the entrance is quite dark at night and would benefit from better lighting. Overall, it's a good gym and represents good value if you use it regularly - same as any gym in that respect.

Negative experience: Great little creche to drop the kids off... If you like waiting 30 minutes for a machine whilst a 12 year old watches 10 minutes of tiktok between sets, this is the gym for you. If you want a gym where hanging your headphones on a machine for 15 minutes is taken as a reservation sign...you'll love it. If you want a gym with decent equipment, not massively over subscribed and where you can just get on with cardio or lifting heavy stuff.....avoid it like the plague. Now cancelled my membership and going to a more expensive gym....although "expense" is relative if you can actually get a workout done.

Positive experience: As a first-time gym goer, I asked one of the female who works there: "What's the best machine to impress a woman?" She only pointed the the ATM outside and said: "That one!"

Positive experience: Pure Gym certainly has fallen off a cliff when it comes to being a decent gym these days Always busy and a fight to get on various equipment unless you turn up at midnight, lack of staff, lack of certain equipment and attachments , attracts a certain "type of types" and now not exactly well priced anymore. Think less quality and more oversubscribed. Used to be the best gym going for variety and flexibility.....not anymore.

Fantastic experience: Train there often

Negative experience: People using the gym park on double yellow lines blocking access to private car park nearby when free parking is available very close. Management can't seem to do anything about it.

Fantastic experience: As far as pure gyms go this is a good one. Big spacious and plenty of kit. It does get very busy at peak times however so be aware. It also has ok showering facilities and free parking close to the site. 24 hour access is also a bonus.

Fantastic experience: Excellent. High class equipment. Air conditioning. For serious gym freaks

Positive experience: I like the gym, equipment is good. The toilets are a bit ming, there's no coat hangers in there. Would be 5 stars if the toilets didn't hum so much.

Fantastic experience: 24/7 unlimited access, contract cancellation at any time and good price comparing within the market.

Negative experience: Gym is amazing. I'm just warning everyone KEEP YOUR VALUABLES AWAY FROM THE CHANGING ROOM. USE THE LOCKERS PROVIDED. I've had a valuable item STOLEN today. I am passing the word around that people DO STEAL and will keep doing it if valuables are left alone as there are no cameras in the changing room.

Fantastic experience: Lots of equipment , clean and air-conditioning

Fantastic experience: Great value for money, spacious (spread over two floors), lots of good quality equipment so less waiting around, 24-7 access with free parking. Gym membership just became more accessible with PureGym! Classes and PTs also available although I won't be using these.

Positive experience: Needs more equipment as leg machines are always busy. Timers on machines to stop people hogging equipment. Eg busy periods 5 minutes max on a piece of kit.

Negative experience: Not one of the best pure gyms. Seriously over subscribed. Very difficult to get on some machines. Town centre location also makes it a loitering venue for some. The amount of people in there is a serious problem and reason to find another gym

Negative experience: Pretty average gym, worn-out equipment,which requires maintenance, the only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because its open 24/7. During a class they play music so loud that you can't hear your inear headphones properly. Build a sound proof studio instead of a shitty partition

Negative experience: It’s a good gym but there needs to be better management of the groups of people using machines and free weights. It’s getting ridiculous. A group of 4/5 lads on all bench press areas for over an hour, checked back five times. There’s just not enough equipment for the amount of people, it’s getting ridiculous and although it’s good kids have a place to go and are working out, overtaking everything for the time they do is so frustrating for us who have been going there over a year.

Fantastic experience: A good place to train

Fantastic experience: Good size gym, lots of equipment. Slightly funny layout but nothing which disrupts the workout.

Positive experience: I have never used the gym, but we are frequent shoppers in the Ropewalk and the gym has a steady flow of customers. It appears to be laid out on two floors, but as I said I have not used the place, but security tell me its busy. So if fitness is your thing then it may be worth checking out.

Negative experience: No info that the gym is closed on 25th of December

Positive experience: Member of Nuneaton pure gym for quite few years now. Mixed feelings about the place. Here due to a lack of better alternative. Pros. - cheap - close by - friendly staff - good equipment and it's quality - large facility with 2 floors and separate studio - free car park up to 2h in the city center Cons. - changing room almost always full of bags and jackets, despite large locker area, also often used as a social area for teenagers so ocassion ally it's very difficult to find empty spot to change - showers smell and dirty, make sure you use any footwear, or don't use showers at all :) - loud music, improved a bit recently - sometimes unsure if PTs are fully competent (quality of very specific exercises), but this also changes quickly as the PTs changed often. - some bellends are vaping in the changing room

Positive experience: Simple to register as a member, gym equipments are top notch! so many varieties of professional equipment, clean and accessible. Staffs are so professional. Being a member of the Nuneaton Pure Gym community I feel it was the best choice I ever made. free parking for 2hrs ... Gym access 24/7. It just doesn't get better than that. I will recommend this place anywhere anytime.

Fantastic experience: It was great watching all these super fit people working out. I did feel guilty eating a McDonald's Big Mac outside looking through the window at people exercising. If you were the bloke on the step machine looking at the attractive young woman doing squat thrusts, I'm sorry that my eating a big mac interrupted you.

Negative experience: Not enough machines to accommodate when it's busy. End up waiting around for a machine to be free. Inside of the showers really dirty. More cardio machines than anything typical commercial gym it's ideal if you want to lose weight that's about it

Positive experience: Nice gym. Fairly busy but is a good gym. Showers even though are cleaned always smell horrid and would be better if they hooks inside the shower area then outside.

Positive experience: I've been to plenty of pure gyms. Complete different layout, starting to think I really liked it. Put a star less due to their being what looked like open changing rooms/lockers. Unless I missed them.

Positive experience: It's nice and tidy, friendly people and staff but I wish they had more equipment, incline bench and hack squat

Negative experience: Toilets are nightmare. Not enough tolilets. There is only 3 which are unisex. Sometimes You can see them in disgusting state. The noise is horrible. Classes are in open space and volume is too high. Loks like its not cleaned at all.

Positive experience: Nice gym position of weights respected by all members I have noticed.... only negative is not enough leg machine upstairs in 2 weeks not used once there is always a que for leg extension would be great if there was a another one

Positive experience: Generally really clean, staff are really helpful and approachable. Range of classes that you can do at your own pace. Lockers are temperamental, but there's always enough spare. Toilets are hit and miss, quite clean but I avoid using them.

Positive experience: Good gym 2 floors plenty of training equipment just wish there were 2 sets on the popular machines like bicep curl machine for example...... Nice gym though and really clean.

Positive experience: Overall well equipped and clean gym, peak times are a little busy as cna be expected. Would be 5 stars if it has a punch bag.

Negative experience: I asked the spin class instructor about the volume of his mic which was disturbingly loud, even in another part of the gym, given he was only communicating with people within 5 metres. He said he was naturally loud. When I said I was concerned the volume was potentially harmful he didn't seem to grasp my concern. It doesn't give you any confidence in "fitness professionals" who don't seem to understand the concept of potential harm. The gym's fine for working out. The fact it's open 24 hours allows me to go early morning when it's convenient.

Positive experience: alright gym, not the greatest in the area

Negative experience: I would of gave this review 5 stars, but since they don't have two of every weight machines on the first floor level. I feel dissatisfied, you have to wait ages for someone to finish their workouts. It's not the individuals at fault, it's just that this gym won't be bothered to invest in more weighted equipments and their toilets is always out of service. -my response to pure gym's comment on my review- I've been with this gym since it first opened in Nuneaton quiet a while back, you say that you look at the demand as it changes. With all due respect, this gym never did look at the demand (ie, more cardio machines than weight machines) this branch kept it how it was for quiet a while. So there is no need for dishonesty from your part. What I can positively say that there are new additions to this gym. The ground floor level has new equipment for those who like to do squats and dead lifts etc. And regards to the first floor level there is a dedicated area for those who do all round fitness with the gym/fitness instructors. But my rating will stay the same! ‍

Positive experience: Good gym. Decent, plentiful equipment and clean. Can be a group of teenagers messing about on occasion but otherwise good.

Positive experience: Good value gym but gets really busy and needs more equipment , especially leg machines and another dead lift area.

Positive experience: Really friendly and easy going gym, lots of equipment and the staff that I have seen are friendly. It has everything I need and is a really good price. My only gripe is that the lockers aren’t great - closing mechanism either doesn’t work or sticks - and lots of people just stuff their belongings in a locker without putting a padlock on, so you spend ages trying to find one that is free. Other Puregyms that I’ve used have extra lockers in the changing rooms, which might be a good idea for the Nuneaton branch. Overall, very happy with PureGym Nuneaton and would recommend.

Fantastic experience: First time going a few weeks ago. Loved it. The vibe was comfortable and friendly. Everyone was interested in doing their own thing so you don't feel judged. Plenty of space and machines so you aren't squashed together. All shapes and sizes go there. They have lockers. You enter by putting a QR code under a keypad or entering a keypass number then you go in these tube doors that are strange to enter the gym. Weightlifting on ground floor, gym equipment on 1st floor. Waiting for kids to go back to school so I can go back.

Positive experience: Been to a few pure gyms in tha past, this one is laid out in a strange was, machine order doesn't make much sense and doesn't have a many machines as other pure hmgyms I've visited. But if in need of a workout away from your regular gym, you can find most of what you want.
