Fantastic experience: Liked this centre the best out of few id recently tried

Fantastic experience: Love this centre. Staff are lovely and friendly and can't do enough for you. Plenty of classes to choose from and nice pool

Positive experience: My daughter has swimming lessons here and we swim as a family once a month. Small hated pool decent size for kids and a normal size adult pool. Changing room area is small and can get very slippy but on the whole brilliant

Positive experience: Only been the last couple of days, due to a knee issue, early morning start, people are friendly staff are great, nice clean place, well done all.

Positive experience: I would change the staff because they are Unhelpful and Unfriendly towards people who don't speak English well.

Negative experience: Gym is very small and barely anything to use

Fantastic experience: Excellent spinning session today, best I’ve done yet. I think the lady doing the class is called Kath(apologies if I’m wrong about name) she does the best spinning sessions and I wish she did a lot more. Thanks Kev

Positive experience: Polite staff. Changing rooms, showers and lockers need updating.

Positive experience: Not the cleanest of places. The cubicles are dirty and used tissues a shoved into small crevices in the cubicles. Some of the staff are very unfriendly (you know who you are), especially a certain receptionist. However there are two amazing female staff members there... Jackie, who helped me with my toddler as she saw how desperate my little one wanted to get into the water.

Fantastic experience: Me my girlfriend got lifestyle member ship for the gym and the swim last week and yesterday afternoon lovey women got use in the Steam room for free to test it out and love it gym is so good the place it self is lovey and Friendly l Recommend this place to my family fantastic experience thank you to the staff ️‍♀️️‍♀️

Fantastic experience: Great place. Times for swimming are usually wrong on the website, but a phone call can easily get you the right times.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for over 2 years or so staff are great very helpful and always pleasant facilities are kept clean pool and steam room are great gym itself is kept tidy and all equipment always in working order and if there ever has been a issue it's been sorted fast wish it was a bit bigger but got a good amount of equipment in a small area they have to work with

Positive experience: For a council gym and pool, it’s very good. The class instructors are good and classes are regular, the steam room hasn’t worked since I’ve known it open and trying to swim is near impossible in the mornings with everyone swimming two by two and/or widths I’d recommend using the pool in the evenings, it’s a lot quieter.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant staff and the 2 pools are great for my kids, my 3year old has great confidence in the small heated pool and my 10 year old love tge deep end of the larger pool. Also it is always clean and tidy!!

Fantastic experience: Richard in the gym was very polite, courteous and knowledgeable during my gym induction he carefully explained the processes and demonstrated how to use each piece of equipment before observing my use of them. He made me feel at ease, listened to my questions and provided concise answers regarding my individual fitness regime, he also then emailed the information to me for my perusal. Thanks Richard your time was very much appreciated, I look forwards to using Ellergreen Lifestyles.

Positive experience: Staff are all friendly and helpful, but the gym itself is really small. Opening hours are tough for anyone wanting to go before work or at the weekend.

Fantastic experience: The grand kids love this 1, as kids pool is nice n warm .definitely recommend this pool for families with young ones.

Negative experience: Small swimming pool. No swimming organization. Everyone doing what they want. You need to pay if you want to use a hair dryer. Everyone can see you swimming which can be uncomfortable for people who want some privacy when they swim or exercise in a gym. Not a special place. Wouldn't recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great pool, gym and sports hall

Positive experience: Very good leisure centre with a real mix of facilities. The sports hall has low ceilings, so not ideal for badminton but better than nothing. My only quibble is the last session of the night doesn't allow for changing room use or showers as everything is locked, but minor point really.

Positive experience: Great pool however the downside was there where no floaties allowed other than that fine

Fantastic experience: £7.70 for a family swim ( 2 adults & 2 children )‍♂️ what's not to love, cheap & healthy way to spend an afternoon or morning, small pool is lovely & warm too, staff are a credit to the centre, very accommodating & informative, just remember your 20p for the locker ! Although the staff help you out if you forget, excellent all round.

Fantastic experience: Attended Cheryl’s step and abs class last Saturday morning and it was brilliant. Cheryl recognised I was new to the class and came up to me before the start to check I had no medical conditions she needed to know about and to outline the class to me. She was an excellent instructor who provided clear and enthusiastic instruction throughout the class. She demonstrated each move and also provided modifications so those of us who are less fit were able to remain motivated and fully participate in and enjoy the class. I would highly recommend Cheryl’s class.

Negative experience: Always been Really good at ellergreen,any problems in there seemed to be dealt with quickly and efficiently and everything back up and running smoothly again,,,but of late things have began to slip back,,,the steamroller has been down for months with little sign of fixing the problem,,,and you are still paying the direct debit without and deduction or refund(why ??)to paying members.the hot water in the showers adjacent to the sports hall has not been working for at least 3 weeks,no urgency to sort this simple problem out,,and I have mentioned this to staff,,without a proper explanation as to why this problem hasn't been fixed??,,kevin

Positive experience: Great centre, I take my kids weekly for a swim and they love it. Very clean and friendly staff. My only negative is they leave the fire door in front of the small pool open and it gets quite chilly when you're in the water, sometimes we have to leave early because my kids go blue.

Fantastic experience: On my first visit to ellergreen with my granddaughter 6 and 9 staff were very friendly helpful well mannered the both pools were perfect for us all we will be goin back my grandson is 2 and he will love it thank you for making our day good

Fantastic experience: Among all lifestyle sport centre and swimming pool running by the council , Ellergreen defo the best management , and cheapest for single entry, good size pool 0.9m - 1.9 m depth reasonable good for adults , proper kid/baby pool with parents separate , no shouting jumping splashing, very very enjoyable day for relax and mental health . Good staffs of course . Will defo come again

Positive experience: Nice pool but I just wish they would hurry up opening Peter Lloyd, that being closed is bad for people's health who need somewhere close cos elergreens so awkward from were I am in middle of West Derby but it's a nice enough centre

Positive experience: Good sized pool, staff very friendly. Took one star off for a) dirty floor in the pool changing room area, and b) contradicting messages in the hallway i.e.ad poster promoting healthy eating and avoiding sugar (agree) within two metres of a vending machine selling chocolate and other treats.

Positive experience: Pool is standard, gyms had a refurb but it lacks any machines for arms. OK for cardio staff friendly

Fantastic experience: My son who is 4 loves this swimming pool. I like that they have a separate warmer shallow pool for the children.

Positive experience: Sadly in need of a little TLC like most authority buildings at the moment. Gym was closed for a refurb, but all they did was put used but newer machines in to replace old units. No decoration l, not even a clean up sadly. Staff are brilliant, pool is decent and the kids always enjoy the pool and some of the activities.

Positive experience: Really lovely staff - very helpful and kind. The pool is very warm which is good for the kids (and parents who have to stand around), but some people might not like it so hot. Lessons are good too.

Positive experience: The pools are amazing and they do lots of lessons. Although, they only have specific times you can go to. After those times, you must leave. Which is why I rated it 4 stars.

Negative experience: Poorly organised for the swimming classes, clothes left in changing rooms, not enough seating and The Karen who works on around the pool with glasses on makes the experience worse. The swimming teachers are great with the kids!!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend the Tuesday evening Kettlebell class enough. Cheryl is amazing, keeping everyone motivated and making the class so enjoyable. I’m 9 weeks in and I have noticed such a big difference., my shape, energy levels, sleep and general motivation to do everything. I look forward to it every week.
