Positive experience: Stayed here for birthday celebrations lodge was beautiful very big and warm the only down side was the showers and bathrooms the showers were very dangerous they full up making it very slippery so you have to keep turning water off to let it drain also the bathroom in the en-suite was full of black mold, it was also very dusty in places the door hinges were thick with it. we went for a spa treatment but the heating was broken so was very cold we still had are treatment but wasn’t offered any discount on it, the spa facilities are poor also was closed but you are still was required to pay to use them even after paying £75+ for a treatment we went to bar area for a drink and was made to feel very unwelcome by staff mostly a dark haired woman wearing a purple shit was very rude and unprofessional looking over constantly giving us funny look which made us feel uncomfortable, we went for a meal in the evening food was edible but not the best service was slow and practically non-existent overall I would return but not to the bar / restaurant area as I found staff rude and unpleasant

Fantastic experience: Stayed here couple weeks ago with friends and was a lovely weekend getaway. Staff brilliant helped out when asked questions. Only thing would say is to have instructions for the hot tub so don't have people messing with them. Lodge was gorgeous all clean just some tlc/ wear and tear but nothing that affects you. Overall brilliant stay thank you

Negative experience: Booked the most expensive room available with hot tub and breakfast upon arrival was told we weren't allocated breakfast even after showing receptionist bookings showing breakfast included unwilling to help until I made her ask a manager..who said he would honour the booking and was told my booking would be updated...when leaving we were scolded by another staff member for parking where a fair stall wanted to be even though there were no restrictions the day before I explained I had stayed the night and there were no restrictions and explained the rude manner of which I had been asked to be told well I am stressed as you can see!!! We then proceed to check out and have breakfast to be told my booking did not include breakfast again after going through the same argument again I was seated and had to wait as there was no food out.. overall staff really not helpful and in some cases rude hot tub was cold until around 9 but was not allowed in after 11 and made to feel like a second rate customer arguing for a service I had paid for if I had not been several times and been generally happy I would likely never return because of this stay and not worth the £220 I paid for the night!

Fantastic experience: Hi This is going to be an overall feedback, so please do not take any offence.bid like to start with the negative feedback, I would say that we stopped lodge 20 from Friday to Monday 11/10/24 to 14/10/24. I do think that someone should go and inspect the lodges before someone checks in, as there was some marks on thr walls, cracks in the walls, bits of the wall that have been badly 'patched', just painted over, the radiator layered with dust in side as well as the extractor fan in the shower room. Bits coming away from the wooden sink base, tiles stained in the shower room, bits of seal coming away from tiles and away from the window, I do have photos as proof, I feel as the resort is a luxury resort, and the auroa is that of a high standards this isn't good enough for the rating to which I would believe myself as 5*. The biggest thing is the sink base, doesn't need to be that big, the toilet is compact and small in a corner, the bigger person like myself can't sit on the toilet in comfort. Now the positive, the area and resort is beautiful itself, staff friendly and helpful, just the place it's self is calming, which is why myself and girlfriend and my immediate family choose to come back. Also I'd like to say on Sunday 13/10/24 the security guy, he's on older gentleman, didn't get his name, is a true credit to the company and the resort. And this deserves to be passed on to him and maybe some sort of reward. I had car trouble to which I tried RAC over 10 times as I would have been stuck living 2 n half hours away, and he came and helped me, brought a calming atmosphere and customer service was above and beyond. And can't thank him enough. We will be coming back to the resort as we love the area, the views, just the calming nature, aurora and the vibe!

Negative experience: Poor hospitality at reception Hygiene concerns

Negative experience: Will not re-visit simply as a result of reception staff behaviour. Abrupt/rude reception staff (Mark). Shame as we have stayed here once before and there was no issue then. Cold, dark and rainy night with heavy luggage. Many vacant parking spaces available. Asked at reception when we arrived late in the night if we could park closer to the lodge tonight. Bear in mind there were plenty of empty parking spaces. Staff was extremely rude in refusal: "By all means you can drop off your luggage at the drop off point near the lodge then return your vehicle to Golf reception area and walk it back to your Lodge". Refusal is not in itself a problem but the way in which we were spoken to was unacceptable. We have made a note of your parking policy now and that there are no allocated parking for all lodges/bookings. However, we found your staff quite rude and abrupt.

Fantastic experience: Booked this place by complete coincidence as the closest place to my business trip and it was a bullseye. Great place and most of all amazing people. Amazing views and delicious food. Will definitely be back! Well recommend for stay not only for golf lovers.

Positive experience: Played the golf course which over the years has had major improvements. The terrain is a bit up and down but not excessive. A good layout with some very testing greens. My only detraction is the greens are perhaps (at times) over the top, with no end of run offs or false front greens, but its a very good test making you think about each shot. Nice clubhouse complex and overall pretty good. Probably more suiting a sub 18 or single figure handicap golfer.

Fantastic experience: A group of 10 from Doncaster played The KP on Wednesday 24th July under the name of Ged Williams. I have played the KP half a dozen times now and the whole course is always in tip top condition, rough, fairways, tee boxes and greens were as always superb. The facilities before and after our round were excellent and all KP Staff should be congratulated. The only thing I didn't get was the full length mirrors on the inside of the WC doors, a strange experience to say the least.

Positive experience: Lodge 26 in need of maintenance. Ripped wallpaper, chipped surfaces, faulty taps and a lack of kitchen utensils. Definitely not luxury but a good enough base for exploring the area.

Positive experience: 3rd visit for me and my 2 children. The place is in a great location with even better surroundings. Staff are very helpful, and friendly. Mark and the clubhouse team are great, always helpful and customer focused...foods good And the gym is well equiped and clean. The lodges are nice, but tired and need refurbing, which would be a big cost i appreciate...and ive seen how many guests turn up and treat them like slums...!!. All in all i really like this place, its a very relaxing getaway if you get to know the area for walks, and pubs and restaurants. Recommended by my family.

Fantastic experience: An amazing place to stay, I can't recommend it highly enough. We were in a dog friendly cabin (York Premier) with 4 spacious double bedrooms (2 can be separated into twins). Hot tub was maintained daily. All of the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We befriended a few of the housekeeping staff who liked to make a fuss of the dogs, and they recommend places to visit with them. The bar/restaurant was excellent, again staff were brilliant. The cabin and site itself were very well maintained, and the dogs loved the wildlife walk around the edge of the golf course. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic experience: We have just returned from this wonderful golf resort with all of our family. As some were not playing golf there was a lovely spa and gym to visit for a small extra charge. The golf course am told was of very good standard and kept well. The accommodation is wonderful and the pictures do not do it justice. The hot tub was nice and hot and could fit us all in quite comfortably. The accommodation is very spacious and very well equipped for any large party. Very clean and comfortable beds. We ate over at the clubhouse and the staff were very friendly and took good care of us and our dogs. Food was plentiful and of a good standard warm and well cooked. We will be regular visitors now a must try resort.

Fantastic experience: Came today for 2hr nordic spa and afternoon tea, lovely welcome from the lady on reception at the gym, spa was small but lovely and made such a change it being outside, 2 big hot tubs (one warm, one quite cool) and a mini sauna - lots of seating area for a rest too - lovely clean facilities- afternoon tea was delicious and staff very friendly especially William who was our waiter, couldn't do enough for you! Also thankyou for being so great with dietary requirements due to allergies! Will 100% revisit and recommend! (Emily Bradley)

Fantastic experience: Excellent location. Customer service is excellent. Kayleigh from the restaurant was the best. Lovely spacious bedrooms and felt homely / comfy. The hot tub was fantastic. The kitchen was well equipped. Bathrooms need a bit of renovation. The kids enjoyed playing golf. The lovely city of York was a huge lift up for our rainy holiday. The lake and walking paths were just around the corner. There was a Buddhist temple close by which was very relaxing too. Highly recommended for families.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here during the week Wednesday to Friday stayed in lodge 2 with 8 friends for my 40th. The lodge was a great size for us all, the bedroom view out towards the golf course was amazing. Didn't us any other facilities but everything look clean and kept tidy throughout the grounds, plenty of signage to get about.

Fantastic experience: We stayed here for two nights to attend a local wedding. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The food was delicious. Rooms very clean. I would stay again but in a larger room.

Fantastic experience: Lovely place for a nice overnight stay, hot tub was so warm and roomy. Room was very spacious with comfy bed, great bathroom and tea, coffee facilities including a fridge. We only stayed for 1 night but wish we had booked 2.

Fantastic experience: Had a great time in this lovely little resort in Yorkshire. The lodges were very luxurious and modern with a full kitchen, hot tub and both shower and bath rooms. There isn’t much to do in the area however there is the golf course as well as a trail around the perimeter. The staff were very helpful and resolved our issues quickly. Can’t comment on the bar/restaurants as we never visited them during our stay.

Negative experience: Spa had no robes. No amenities for couples massage or treatments. Spa consists of 2 warm,hot tubs and a shed sauna.

Negative experience: A tricky review. We purchased our overnight spa stay as a wowcher deal. With the room check in being 3pm, 2 hour spa access, breakfast included and check out at 11am. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly, gave us all the information we needed re the resort and off we went to find our lodge. The lodges are huge and are actually structured as 3 separate rooms, we had upgraded to have a hot tub for an additional £50. The room we had was clean and spacious with a king bed. Standard facilities such as a kettle and iron but rooms only have a cool box as opposed to a fridge. We didn't get into the hot tub until about 7pm, it was clean and we had no issues with the temperature. Overall i was happy. We had a reservation for dinner but as we were in our robes we got food to takeaway, the food was really nice as was breakfast the following morning. The problem: this place has no business claiming to be a spa. As you enter the Nordic area there is a highschool level gym, 2 large hot tubs - 1 heated, 1 not (bare in mind I had just paid an extra £50 to have one) and a shed with a heater in, which I'm almost certain wouldn't pass any kind of safety regs. The "sauna" isn't even that shown in the pictures on wowcher though it does state that these are for illustration purposes only. The area is tired, dull and dirty, we were fortunate to have good weather but the large trees block any sun; we lasted 23mins before retiring to the bar. Overall the rooms, site, food/drinks, staff and all good. The golf course looks great though I don't play and provides a great back drop for the bar. But the spa is appalling and that was the purpose of the booking ......

Fantastic experience: Lovely place very Rural. Lodges ate brilliant with loads of room and everything you need. Hot tub is a bonus lovely! Even better if you play ⛳️. Very dog friendly.

Fantastic experience: Had a last minute lunch here and was very impressed. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. Looking forward to the weather being nicer to be able to sit out on the decking.

Positive experience: The USP here is the view! Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind enough for us to enjoy the outside deck area. Lunch was nice and reasonably priced, though we had a short wait while a large group was dealt with.

Fantastic experience: Andrea did mine and my friends facial and she was incredible. Made us feel so relaxed and welcome. Her space was cozy and clean and had a great feel about it. The facial was my first ever and it did not disappoint, so relaxing and calming. I will be returning 100%, thank you!! Nordic spa a little less amazing- could do with a little tlc. The afternoon tea was lush though so all in all a fab day. Andrea’s facial the highlight.

Positive experience: Me & my partner had a lovely stay here for my birthday, the lodge was very spacious and clean for when we arrived. The only negatives I would say is the downstairs toilet smelt like drains, the en suite smelt strongly of bleach and also the hot tub was not ready for use on the day we got there, usually when we arrive at a lodge with a hot tub we want to jump straight in and chill out but we wasn’t able to do this at this one, I get that it needs to be cleaned out from the people having stayed before but we were disappointed it was still cold. It was a lovely gesture that we got to keep the tin that we can fill full of memories. Overall we had a fab stay and we would definitely come back to one of these lodges.

Negative experience: ***Absolutely disgraceful*** I would advise anyone against attending this destination. The lodges are run down with the hot tubs in absolutely terrible condition. We couldn’t sit in the hot tub past 7:30pm due to the severely cold temperature, which has to be filled up by a boiling hose pipe just to get warm. Upon complaining the staff were laughing and saying here’s another one. The inside are very very basic, and not clean. We do U.K. get away monthly and I never feel it within myself to write negative reviews nor complain. But absolutely spend your money elsewhere and not this run down dive.

Negative experience: Travelled from derby, receptionist wasn’t very welcoming upon arrival. Was given a map to find our room (pod) and told we would have to drive to drop our things off then drive back to carpark and leave car there and not outside our pod. However, many other people were able to park and leave their car outside the pods. Not much to do around there at all. We decided to go for a walk on the nature trail, to find its not really a trail it is just a trodden in mud swamp around the golf course and not very well sign posted. In the end we gave up 20 minutes in and walked across the golf course back to our pod as the ‘trail’ was ankle deep in mud! Menu in restaurant for evening meal is very small so we cancelled eating there and got a taxi into pocklington which took us about an hour to find one that would fetch us, baring in mind it was a monday evening (7pm) so shouldn’t be busy but i am guessing due to being far out it is hard to get one. Bed was comfy and room was clean with tea/coffee station and water in the fridge. Bathroom was full of limescale and staining on the tiles though and room was very warm. Fan provided was broken. We was woken up at 5am by a loud, constant creaking noise and banging doors from someone in the room above us. I told this to reception and shown them the videos of how loud the noise was when we checked out and got no apology, just ‘oh well that is the first we have heard about it’. Breakfast was the best part of our stay, really good quality ingredients and a nice service from bar staff. Didn’t stay for the nordic spa as we just wanted to get home, but was told that apparently it isn’t very big and just a couple hot tubs and a sauna. Just a little disappointed as the reviews seemed promising, but after driving nearly 2 hours there and back for my boyfriends birthday we left feeling a little deflated about our stay.

Negative experience: Attended an event here which was great, the staff and day were wonderful. However the room I was given was left a lot to be desired - tiny, not properly cleaned and very shabby. Could not request a room change as reception closed by time I got to room. Issues with room; toilet dirty on arrival, shower grouting mouldy and falling out, constant leak on shower, cobwebs, stained and frayed carpets, leaking fridge, stained chair, stained and dirty curtains and bed throw and general worn out paintwork and finish. Also the heating would not work so was quite chilly. Whole room needed a complete refresh and definitely not worth the money. Receptionist on check out did not seem to care

Positive experience: We decided to try this place as we had heard it was really nice. We had a nice welcome and were shown where our room was, the little buildings are really nice with only 4 rooms per building/lodge. The room was adequate for two people but our TV didn't work, the reception team was happy enough to send the maintenance man, at that time he was not able to fix the TV so it was agreed with the team on reception to change our room. Fortunately we were given what we felt was an upgrade, a bigger room and bigger bathroom which we enjoyed and the TV worked! We also booked a treatment each, the spa is very small which is not what you would expect for a place so big with so much ground available. Our treatments were nice and we enjoyed them but for the price I would not personally book again. To use the Nordic spa you have to pay extra which given the weather we did not use. Again this is very small. We were woken up by vacuuming at 9am on our check out day, given that check out is 11am and check in 3pm this was disappointing. The final let down was the morning of our booked lunch. On the website we were given the option of booking from 11am just after check out, when we arrived for our lunch we were told that lunch did not start until 12pm. We were given the option of breakfast sandwiches which were declined and we left the venue.

Positive experience: Just had a weekend in a lodge here. The lodge is nice. Well appointed. It was quite cold though. It is however the first week of January. We had to put the oven on and open the door to get any warmth into the living room /kitchen space. The Internet was quite weak but just enough to watch Netflix on a firestick. The people working in the bar /diner were very friendly. Sunday lunch was probably 7/10. The meat was nice but one small bowl of greens and one small bowl of roasted veg between 5 of us wasn't going to cut it. We ordered more but we'd almost finished before they came. I would visit again. In warmer months though.

Positive experience: Fantastic grounds and spacious area around the lodges. Nice town- pocklington which is not far from York, Selby or Bridlington coast. The 3 bed delux lodge was a fantastic size with ensuite in every bedroom. The master room looked onto the golfing area with a lovely view. But the massive window could of done with some kind of blinds. The picture window didn't give you privacy. You had to close the curtains which was a shame. Also where the hot tubs where they were situated with our lodge was not private enough. It had a semi fence just one side of the lodge of which people could walk pass your lodge with no boundary privacy. Ooh and watch out for the hot tub cleaner that just turns up everyday just helping himself on the primator and early in the morning. Who is also able to look directly into the lodge if the downstairs blinds aren't shut.

Fantastic experience: The lodge was very clean, it had a hot tub which was great, obviously being situated on a golf course it was quiet, (maybe because the course was shut). It has a gym on site if you wanted to go to it, but I went running aIong the country roads which were quiet. It was about a 10-15min walk into Pocklington, and a 10min drive to the park n ride to go into York. Overall a great couple of nights away.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible experience. Fly infestation in the rooms. Had to change rooms and only in the third room was it acceptable. Killed the flies that were present, but more were back in the morning. Heating wasn’t working and reception couldn’t get it sorted. Good service in the restaurant, but would strongly advise against using the accommodation.

Fantastic experience: Went for our anniversary nice to get away somewhere quiet but close enough to York. Facilities were 1st class. What more can i say. Highly recommended

Positive experience: Was ok until someone crashed into my car in a golf cart . He was very apologetic and has said he would sort out the damage and sorted us out a car till mine is repaired. We then went to the bar to chill only to find the staff laughing about it very unprofessional by the reception staff

Negative experience: We have just got back from a 3 night stay lodge wasnt clean kitchen equipment very poor not enough seating in lodge for 7 people television not working on arrival got them fixed Saturday one of bedroom door handle fell off very disappointing won't return

Fantastic experience: Love KP! Lovely lodges & well serviced. Make sure to take plenty of toilet roll as only a roll per bathroom provided and avoid the meals at the on-site bar.

Positive experience: Good accommodation, location, food etc. Let down by bar service which is geared more to golfers than hotel guests;e.g. No cocktail menu, 60 gins but no Irish Coffee, reception often not manned, bar staff not friendly, no notice of last orders,

Negative experience: The staff here are, for the most part, pretty miserable - be prepared to be grunted at and laughed at should you make a complaint. A smile from the staff is like gold dust here. The double rooms have two single beds pushed the together. When raised with the hotel manager we were told that as they have a zip joining the two single mattresses they count as a double. Not what you expect from nearly £200 a night. The spa... or rather: the back garden. Consists of an outdoor hot tub - don't expect it to be cleaned - and a 2 man shed sauna. Oh - and expect to pay £5 a day to enter this. Their treatment spa was booked up during our entire stay too. No Wifi at our rooms and generally lacking around the whole site. Two star overall - I was surprised at the lack of service and the underwhelming rooms for what's a mid-priced stay. Take my advice and give this one a miss!

Fantastic experience: I was here for holiday, was probably one of my favourite holidays so far because of this lodge. The lodges are very modern and have great deals including a hot tub!!

Positive experience: We visited in August 2023 (York lodge - 4 beds). We paid £2000 for 7 nights. Sorry Darwin escapes / but you need to update your lodges - ours was dated and needs updating desperately. Such a let down for the price. No air con either. No sky TV / basic free view . The glasshouse restaurant isn’t a restaurant it’s more like a cafe. We booked for the Thursday eve steak night - the door to the terrace was open constantly, such a draft with people coming in & out.The restaurant - needs to be separated from the terrace - totally spoils it, plus the decor is dated & basic no atmosphere whatsoever felt like a bland cafe on a evening. They also need more bar / waiting staff always a queue. This site could be lovely they need to get it right - puts me off returning! Recruit an interior designer for the lodges and more staff in the bar - separate the bar from the restaurant would make such a difference.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic place. Cam here for The Trilby Tour competition. Beautiful course with possibly the best greens I've seen for a long time. Will certainly be returning. Clubhouse is fantastic and the staff are very welcoming.

Negative experience: I was a family member at a wedding reception last year. It was a BBQ buffet. The food was laid out as if it were a staff canteen, didn't look in the least bit appetizing and was pretty tasteless. The plates were stone cold. The staff in attendance whilst we were dining looked very unimpressed to be there and made little effort to smile. We had to return to reception to obtain entry to the lodge which, on first view, looked very nice. However, it was discovered quite late on, that there were no towels or toilet roll, so again, a trip to reception was necessary. The staff did not as much as apologise for the inconvenience and just laughed. I could not possibly recommend this venue to my greatest enemy! The lodge

Positive experience: The facility and stay was very nice. However we were a little bit disappointed because the spa facilities were fully booked throughout the duration of our stay and there was not much else to accompany the time for a resort.

Fantastic experience: At first I had a bad experience with some careless other guests who made very early morning noises, but on day 2 and 3 it improved significantly. Great quiet location, good service, food and dedicated staff.

Fantastic experience: Excellent golf course and easy to book. There has been a lot of features put in over the last few years which add to the course and great views all the way round. Watch out for the public footpath running through the middle and the audience of cabins on the 9th hole.

Fantastic experience: Had an awesome one night stay here. Great location, clean and tidy accommodation. Not brand new but very well maintained. Super friendly staff making every effort to add to the relaxation of the stay, couldn't fault them. Will definitely re-visit.

Positive experience: Pop in for Sunday Lunch. Meal was very good. Plenty of food on the plate. 3 courses to choose between and three choices per course. Will definitely go back with a larger group for a meet up. Dog friendly in an area. Lots of outside space for meeting. Good well stocked bars up and downstairs.

Negative experience: I initially booked this hotel as I called to check the gym opening hours for Saturday. I was told closing time is 8pm which fitted in with my schedule (could only visit the gym after 6:30pm). The opening times behind reception also state the gym (the box)shuts at 8pm on Saturday. When I arrived at 6:40pm I was told it would be shut in 20 minutes and so wasn't permitted. Given this was one of the only reasons I booked this specific hotel, I wasn't particularly happy about this. Instead I decided to retreat to my room. Which was cold as the radiator wasn't working all evening. Security staff did come by and fix the issue and they were lovely. The shower in my room was substandard. Had to rinse my hair out in the sink as the shower wasn't working adequately due to the water not spraying from all holes,and spraying in all random directions. This might not be as much of an issue if you're tall and closer to the shower head. The rooms are very small and the TV is rather basic, as it isn't a smart TV which I've become accustomed to in other hotels. The costa isn't a full costa and has a small selection of items. They did however provide a bottle of soy milk in my room in the fridge which requested before arrival. All staff I encountered have been very helpful and professional. I did wait at reception for a long while, to be told reception was closed. Again, referring back to the opening times listed at the back of reception, it was meant to be open.

Negative experience: This was just a quick stay for me while doing other touring, I wish I hadn't bothered. I just went for a basic room which are in pods of 6. Every time a door is opened and shut, the pod shakes a bit. There is no dedicated parking outside the room which is a pain, you can drop off your stuff then have to drive back. It's not far just not what I was expecting or explained prior to arrival. Disappointed. The room was very small and poorly designed for the price. There is random storage above a counter, like a kitchen which is so weird! There are 15 spot lights which either dazzle you or are poorly placed. It was also very stuffy in November. Good luck in summer if you are staying then. The food at breakfast was probably the lowest quality I have ever had and ended up leaving most of it on my checkout day. Dinner was better but definitely didn't show value for money either. The golf was ok but the conditions were very wet, I holed a par to find my ball an inch below water in the cup! It was very slippy and not very enjoyable. The summer I am sure it's great fun though.

Fantastic experience: A nice place to stay. The breakfast is delicious, probably one of the best breakfasts I've had in a hotel. Unfortunately we had to park in the main car park and then walk to our "Lodge" which was a bit inconvenient with the rain. There are drop off spaces and some lodges have their own parking space.... Ours didn't The room was clean and well equipped. The bathroom gets VERY HOT due to the towel rail which is too close to the toilet (burnt thighs! ). We couldn't see a way to turn down the bathroom towel rail heat but there are warning signs well displayed about how hot gets.... Still, you don't expect to burn your leg The bedroom was smaller than expected when looking at the photos however the bed was really comfortable. In general it was a nice place in a lovely location

Fantastic experience: Very spacious lodge. Big hot tub,kids loved it. The on site restaurant was great. You can even order food over the phone to pick up and eat at your lodge for a night in.

Positive experience: We celebrated our wedding at the KP club and were very happy with the experience. From the planning and preparation prior to the event to the organisation on the day itself, the staff were very helpful and accommodating and addressed all our needs efficiently. The organisers went out of there way to ensure everything ran smoothly. The wedding breakfast was delicious and all diets were catered for. The venue is very clean, modern and welcoming and the views are stunning. The only criticism was the dj, although after speaking with the management team they confirmed he was not the regular dj and will not be used again. We would highly recommend the kp club if considering a wedding venue.

Positive experience: Fairly open and generous course, well maintained, greens are a little slow but ran true enough. Bunkers well kept, fairways and green surrounds nicely mown. Modern elegant clubhouse serving food and selecrtion of drinks, slightly on the expensive side but wonderful views of the Countryside from the patio. Definitely would return.

Fantastic experience: Made very welcome. Course in excellent condition. Had food on arrival and again when we came in. All served by smiling and efficient staff.

Fantastic experience: It's a terrific place, you can stay and play if you want or just book and play. There's a good pro shop that's well stocked but be prepared to pay as they are never really cheap. There's a nice bar with sports TV all over, you can sit in or take your refreshments out onto the decked area, mind the wasps tho if your there in summer. The course was in good nick considering there was a drought going on, yeah the ground was cracking in places and some of the water hazards were dry but the green's had been very well looked after and were first class if a little difficult to read , there are some fantastic holes in fact all of em are great, there are some generous fairways but plenty of trees and rough if your staying off line too far. If it's windy then some of the holes can seem very long, but by the same token some of them are very reachable in 2 shots. All in all if you want a decent challenge on a terrific course then this fits the bill very well. I'm not sure it's relevant but there was a wedding reception going on on the Upper level when we were there, but if your only interested in the golf then go for it I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Negative experience: Overall a very nice resort, however the lodges are starting to seem a little tired, in a heat wave ventilation throughout the accommodation was extremely limited.

Positive experience: I originally thought that we were staying in the big glass building, turns out it is the glass restaurant/ reception. The rooms are lovely "lodges," located a small 1/2 min walk from the main car park. The breakfast was not including in the price so we decided to have food in the local town pocklington (10/15 min walk) The room was reasonably sized with nice homely feel, a lot of storage and the usual facilities. The KP (Kilnwick Percy) is a lovely resort and me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Value for money? maybe for the cost including breakfast would make a better deal.

Fantastic experience: Very spacious, many good trails to walk yourself and with pets and also great resources on sight including the glasshouse restaurant and bar

Negative experience: Shower door wouldn't shut, grout needed replacement, drain cover in shower not in place, bathroom door did not close , smallest room ever, not clean, needed refurb.

Positive experience: Very pleasant views only problem plagued with wasps as it was a lovely day we sat outside but had to go inside but was still plagued with wasps inside as well we were not the only customers aware of this and everyone moved inside we mentioned it to the staff and they were aware of this problem but we will not we will not be going until the problem is fixed which is very disappointing

Positive experience: Had a 2 night stay with a hen party. The lodge was OK but I don't think it's worth the money. The kitchen had a dishwasher which wouldn't shut until you opened the cupboard next to it. The kitchen equipment was a bit sparse. The master bathroom (there was 3 bathrooms) was the only one with toiletries, dressing gowns and slippers, which is unfare when friends club together to stay. And Saturday morning we were greeted with the sound of an electric saw, work was being carried out in the lodge opposite. once we complained we were given a £50 voucher to spend behind the bar which was good of them but we did loose a Couple of hours to the noise. Hot tub was good but could have been cleaner around it.

Positive experience: Second time of visiting, nice accommodation, hot tub and view over the golf course. Around 20 minutes drive to the centre of York.

Positive experience: I recently stayed at the resort in one of the lodges with family. We booked 2 lodges next to one another. We booked 3 months before our stay. The grounds were lovely and well kept and staff were friendly. We would of enjoyed our stay more but with less than 24 hours notice we were asked to pay a £200 deposit which was quite disappointing as I thought that this was given with too little notice and made us feel unwelcome, if we were asked earlier it would of been more acceptable. We uncomfortable payed and then found out our family had been spilt up to separate parts of the resort and not next to one another as we had booked. This was another disappointing hit to our holiday. The lodges were all self contained but quite close to one another and you could here other people and all felt on top of one another. The lodges were immaculately clean and very comfortable and all with their own hottubs which was the appealing point of the holiday. I gave 3 stars our of 5 due to the lack of organisation and communication from the staff to our family. Other than this it's a nice retreat.

Positive experience: We stayed in the Huxtable lodge which has it's own hot tub: very nice The hosts were kind enough to leave a little card and chocolate lollipop for my daughter who turns 7 soon which was also a nice gesture. The negatives were the lack of room service which I was told existed, only to be informed on arrival that we needed to order from local takeaways instead plus the breakfast in the morning being a little dry. Maybe because we were at the late end of morning arrival but for the price paid, the sausage and bacon could have been fresher. Lovely location, villages nearby are all stunning and I'm sure the golf is great too!

Positive experience: Played a round of golf, facilities were great, course was lovely, staff were polite and parking was easy.
