Fantastic experience: Really well equipped gym. Great location near the city centre. Not crowded even first thing in the morning. Would definitely recommend. Also being app based you can plan ahead and no messing about signing up when you arrive.

Negative experience: You get some of what you pay for. Rubbish ventilation in summer- you can taste the humid sweaty air. Gym says theres air con, but this really is only felt in the freeweight room. The main room is disgusting to workout in because you cant get a decent breath of air. Desperately need investment into a good air flow system. Equipment is always breaking. Takes ages to get fixed. Floor floods often. Water fountains are rubbish. Toilets blocked to high heavens often and the poor fitness staff playing plumber. The toilets are always disgusting and left unclean and unkept too. Chalk all over the place regularly leaving you covered. Fitness staff and PTs are friendly and helpful always. And the members and general community in the gym is great.
Fantastic experience: I have come here several times as a guest on my Dad's membership and I really like this gym. There is a good variety and it has a nicely placed track with sandbags. It's a very popular gym even on a weekday early afternoon so sometimes the bench press rack area is used to full capacity but there are other benches in the free weights room so enough flexibility for me! Overall I like the atmosphere of the gym and the gym users seemed considerate.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please notify staff on site as soon as you can. It would really help us if you could get in touch directly with the Gym Manager or Member Services to provide more information (such as date and time or names etc.) so this can be properly investigated. Positive experience: Pretty good gym for the price. You get all the equipment that you could ever need, although the equipment shows is age. You get 2 hours free parking. The classes are really good. Only big issue I have is some people never seem to return the equipment and weights back, honestly PureGym should start giving people a fine to those we do this.

Positive experience: So, you'd think the Pure Group, being a big chain gym rolling in dough from customers, would hook us up with nice equipment and decent ventilation, right? Well, surprise, it's the total opposite. As a fan of kettlebell workouts, it's a bummer that there's just one single weight for each pair. Not to mention the stench situation in the dumbbell room? You can practically sniff out what someone had for dinner hours ago, and it's so strong sometimes I've gotta skip exercises or hold my breath. Not cool. I get it's probably not the local management's fault, but come on, higher-ups, let's get this sorted!

Negative experience: It’s my second week with PureGym and I had a very bad experience today. I signed up for two classes this afternoon. I was 3 mins late for the first one, and was told the class was cancelled because I was the only student and didn’t show up on time. Fine. I waited 1.5 hours for the second class. The same trainer Marika Rapior didn’t even show up! I received no notification about class cancellation or whatever. And then I used the shower room for the first time. The water stopped every 20 seconds and the drain was blocked. If you don’t want people to shower, what did you even build it? I wonder if all PureGym is this bad or just this one.

Negative experience: I would give 4 stars if it weren't for the freezing temperatures inside in the fall/winter. The problem seems to have been passed on to corporate management and is no longer with local management (I don't blame them), but that doesn't make it any more pleasant for members. Most people wear hoodies, some even wear winter jackets when they work out. I'll be happy to change my rating when the problem is fixed. Other than that: + it's cheap + there's a solid selection of equipment (lots of cardio) + open 24/7 + the app is very handy as it shows you how many people are in the gym at any given time and how many are expected - machines are frequently out of order (sometimes this is fixed in a few days, sometimes not for a few weeks) and some treadmills don't work properly (buttons don't respond, constant emergency stop alarm - which isn't a big problem as you can always find a free treadmill that works even at peak times) - it can get very busy, even early in the morning at 6.30am - some members leave their empty cans/bottles and tissues on the floor or in the bottle holder; the gym's cleaned frequently but you'll still see it from time to time

Positive experience: The overall quality is worth the price. You can’t expect them to have Eleiko or Strength shop products. Most of the plates or machines there are from Matrix. The only two things are: 1. a lot of people don’t return the weights or clean the equipment after using; 2. can be sort of crowded even in the early morning.

It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. Positive experience: Well its a great gym friendly place but after 18:00pm you get all the unfriendly people in were they will call you names even know they dont even know you its like im going to have to change my gym time early because of it 2 times its happen in the last few months.

Positive experience: This gym has great potential, a large selection of equipment, machines, and weights, although I think there is only one woman's barbell (15kg). In the gym, it's often a mess, so finding what you're looking for is almost a miracle. I have visited many puregyms, and the ones in Coventry are the worst in this respect. I don't know if it's due to lack of consequences in not following the rules or what...? I must mention that the maintenance of the equipment has improved dramatically in recent times. The women's changing room is also improved, but the state of toilets or water pressure is still the same. I will mention that Coventry Skydome is the best option among puregyms in Coventry and only among puregyms in Coventry. I treat the puregym option as the last one. Some people are friendly, especially staff but not all. Temperature is always good, parking is available (2 hours for free). I never participate in the class, but people who are attending look happy.

Negative experience: 1. Overcrowded even at 10pm in the evening, 2. No phone number to use to contact them, 3. No "off peak" time table showing anywhere so if you have off peak membership forget the off peak hours and turn up to the gym you won't be able to enter.

Fantastic experience: Been to a lot of puregyms around the country, London Streatham, Chester, multiple in Birmingham. This is by far the best gym, most machines, up to date equipment and free weights. Loads of squat racks and platforms. Staff are great, I go in the morning and it's always very clean. 100% would recommend.

Positive experience: I've been using this gym for several years and I can confirm the price is cheaper than alternative options. This site is larger than the other Coventry sites and offers a plentiful supply of equipment. The gym is however understaffed at times and therefore not kept tidy and clean all day round. Maintenance of equipment is fairly lacking and the age of equipment is starting to show. They do not readily invest in new equipment which is poor service to loyal customers. From my recollection the first overhaul of equipment took over 3 years so do expect to wait for gym upgrades. Overall, a cheap way to train but perhaps not the place to stay with in the long term

Positive experience: Wasnt very keen due to size of gym and the amount of people who just seem to find a bench or machine and sit on there phone for ages members don't consider other members it seems

Positive experience: Overall a great gym to start, but it is a very packed gym in regular hours and you can have some unpleasant experiences because of other members of the gym there (which can be typical, creepy staring, etc.) Would say it's mainly a starting gym, and you will move on to a different gym when you get more into progress or want to specialise in powerlifting, weightlifting, etc. Great PTs, shout-out to Dave and others like Ollie.

Negative experience: Been going to the gym since last spring and it has been amazing. Since the new managers have been in, it's all gone down hill, during the winter it was freezing cold that not even a jumper would do anything. I could barely find any number 10 weights in the free weights near the Smith machines. Yanga sports water doesn't always have the flavour I like and when I get my water, it's plain with no flavour, disappointed. Vending machines aren't stocked up and as someone who doesn't eat meat, my choices are more limited compared to a stocked up machine. Lockers aren't regularly checked as there have been times where I see some stuff that has been left in for a few days or a lock on the same locker left there for weeks. Women's toilets aren't very hygienic, which is a big issue as it's the WOMEN'S toilets and the last thing I want to see are sanitary bins not being changed. Having to check that there's loo roll everytime I'm using one as sometimes there aren't rolls in any of them. Keep finding machines broken, especially the Treadmills as one or 2 seem to be always out of use. One of the pods has been broken for a while and it definitely needs fixing and the lift needs fixing. Although, I don't use the lift, someone who can't use the stairs may need it, therefore you're losing members. I don't want a written apology, I want the managers to take action and consider the reviews that they are getting, apologising isn't going to fix the problem, either the managers do something about the problem or the gym gets new managers.

Negative experience: The experience i had after going there after 6 months was that it was freezing cold. The gym is probably trying to save on heating costs and it won't do them any favours if their regular members keep away. It was warmer outside.

Negative experience: Place is really good but.. is so cold as well! Trainers walking with coats.. i understand to save energy but... It is impossible to start workout without jumper :/

Positive experience: the advantage of this gym is that it works 24 hours a day and the location, objections to the staff who do not pay attention to young people who have no idea about using the gym and do not know the rules npprzyllad, the worst What can be in the gym is like teenagers other participants who have no idea about using the gym drop the equipment, slam and make some groaning screams during exercise ....

Negative experience: Great Gym, but why are you closed on Xmas-day! For all us non Christian’s we would like to go to the gym and work out because it’s another regular day. My trainer Nathan is an amazing hard working guy and would love to see him over x-mas. So please open Thankyou

Fantastic experience: I loved working out at PureGym Skydome! Very central and convenient location, well-equipped and reasonably clean toilets and changing room. It’s very well spread out and there are dedicated areas for all sorts of machines and workouts, including classes. Very vibrant and lively atmosphere which kept me motivated. Staff members are helpful and I took personal training from Nathan who is a brilliant trainer and the classes with him benefited me a lot. I had to leave this gym as I moved from Coventry, but I really do miss working out here!
Positive experience: Gym membership is cheaper than most other places. Staff are very friendly and approachable. Other users are friendly. Never had problems people are always willing to share gym equipment even at busy times. Only one problem is the 2 hour parking slot is not enough. Time goes quickly and being under pressure and looking at the time to see you haven't exceeded the time limit is not good for health. 2.5 hours would be perfect

Negative experience: Good gym, however got parking fine of £130 as the machine inside wasnt working and staff said they would imput manually, fine came and no help from the gym, not happy

Fantastic experience: PureGym is a friendly gym where you do exactly what you want. If you want to do high impact exercises that's up to you and the equipment is available. If you are self motivated its up to you, the gym will cater for your own specific needs. If you want some extra support, there are friendly staff who are happy to support you on one to one basis. If you want to join the classes, you are more than welcome to do so and work as a group. The bathrooms are very clean. Staff are constantly cleaning and sanitizing the equipment to ensure there are no outbreaks of Covid. There is a variety of equipment which you can use and there are no incidents where people have to wait to use a particular equipment. If you are not too sure about a piece of equipment, about 95% of the staff are approachable hence you are free to ask. There is free parking for 2 hours. The gym is never congested as it is a 24 hour gym. I would recommend it to anyone who would like to join a gym. Please go to Skydome PureGym. You wont regret it.

Positive experience: Good range of equipment, some of the equipment is looking tired and in need of some tlc. The water fountains just about dribble water out. Also at peak times the gym is very very full, to the point where you have to wait for benches and machines for long periods of time. I'll be going back to a less commercial gym.

Fantastic experience: I've been working with Hannah as my PT for three months and i'm in the best shape i've been in since 2020. Hannah understands my goals and the pressures of work/life and designs my programme around that. As a PT she first and foremost tracks my form, strength gains, and is my cheerleader. I train less now but the results speak for themselves, my waist is three inches smaller, i'm lifting heavier with good form, but above all i'm happier and confident in myself. I wish i'd started training with her earlier.

Negative experience: The reason I am giving 2 stars is not because the gym is bad, it's because of the AWFUL music playing there, when I am trying to hype myself up for a deadlift, squat or bench pr I do not want to be listening to shape of you by ed sheeran, they could not play a worse playlist, if the music was better, or if there was simply no music at all, I would give it 5 stars.

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our providers to ensure that our facilities are fixed as soon as possible, if anything should be broken. We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have everything in full working order as soon as is safely possible. If you have any concerns about equipment, please speak to a member of staff at the gym as soon as you can. In the meantime, I really do hope this does not put you off from attending the gym. Fantastic experience: I am new to any gym. Dont know much about exercise. But i am giving 5 out of 5 to this gym. Why? On my first day at gym i bought pure gym locker lock for £6. There is a little trick to set your own password, which i missed and i made lock un useable. Mean while while i was struggling with locks number combination the gym manager came to and asked if i need help. I explained him the situation, he tried to reset the combination for few moments but could not set it. Now i lost my £6 because lock was not useable for me. The manager took my lock from me a gave me brand new lock without wasting time. Not only this he set the new combination for me. Super excellent customer service. Many thanks Mr Manager and pure gym SkyDome Coventry.

Fantastic experience: If you are into fitness, just normal stuff like cardio, weights, this is for you. Massive space, lots of equipment, 2 hrs car park available in the same building. I haven't been in a long time but still a member and will restart soon. With 24 hrs access its ideal for any lifestyle

Positive experience: Could do with more bench presses. There is always a wait to use one. Not sure how 2 are supposed to suffice in a gym with often 150 users at peak time.

Fantastic experience: Great range of equipment is available
Positive experience: Great gym , spacious, 2 hrs free car park , many weights and machines , the only issue I had was the wifi , signal not strong enough in some areas . And in my case I use headphones and YouTube. Even when I use my mobile data the result is the same. Maybe the will do something to improve the quality of the wifi. Apart from that no comment

Positive experience: Large city centre gym. Lots machines and workout spaces but often very busy. Gym AC isn't fantastic and machines are very basic and could really do with being replaced

Negative experience: SOMEONE BREAK IN . First time when I visited this branch my padlock was open when I go to locker. I know someone open my locker on front CCTV. I tried spoke with staff member but they say "I'm busy and don't have time to check camera if I got everything". It's not important if I got everything that shouldn't happen in first place. Someone should check camera for me. Today I was see how someone try open one of padlock maybe that was his padlock but he was fully dressed with backpack on floor and why he was back to the locker? Why he left so quickly ? And if that was his why didn't go for help ? I told staff but they ignored my. They should check that but was to busy chatting. I'm very disappointed. Nothing missing from my belongs but they could copy details and my keys ! That's all ! You will not takes responsibility if they use my details in 6-10 mount's or go to my house when I'm in gym or who know what else? Maybe you ignored me because this one of you ?

Fantastic experience: Really good pure gym, good location as its quite close too town if you need to do a quick shop on the way home. They parking is free up too 2 hours for members in the storage car park, just enter your registration on the right once you enter the gym. Got all the basic equipment, does tend to get busy if you go in the afternoon but very quiet in the morning

Fantastic experience: Went before COVID and again I have started to go to puregym. They have got free car parking for 2 hours. They have got all the equipments you will need. Monthly fees are reasonable.
