Fantastic experience: I was invited to participate at gym by daughter and got of the couch. I wasn’t paying attention to my own fitness for a long while but started experiencing cracking in my joints I had forgotten the importance of exercise and how this helps keep us physically and mentally healthy to enable us to function independently

Negative experience: Been a Loyal member on and off from day 1. Still great amount of equipment but I don't think I have seen the place become as run down as it is now in terms of cleanliness. Changing rooms are disgusting, the toilets are even worse with the constant smell of sewage and dirt everywhere. And you watch people sweating all over everything and not wiping kit down after use. Gym matts are rarely cleaned. It's only when you look around at other gyms you realise how downhill pure has gone. Bring back the Covid era when the place was clean and members were asked to at least wipe things down between use if needed.Time to move on unfortunately

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym , very spacious, lots of free bench weights and power racks, lots of cardio machines and lots a gym weight machines. Toilets and changing facilities are clean and spacious and also lots of parking

Fantastic experience: Wouldn't go anywhere else just wish they updated On equipment?

Positive experience: Overall this is one of the best gyms around the Sutton and Mansfield area with the equipment that they have, plus its 24 hours as well which is fantastic. I've been coming to this gym for around 6 years now, the only downfall about this gym is that in the last year it feels like the air conditioning just isn't on or not on cold enough, in the hot weather it feels like working out in a greenhouse, also in the men showers, the drainage stinks of sewage.

Negative experience: Avoid

Positive experience: I can categorically confirm i have not set foot in this premises ever. Blessed are the cheesemakers

Negative experience: No problem with the overall gym, but if you’re a woman training alone at night, the night shift male cleaner makes me feel very uncomfortable and I will not be going to this gym anymore on my own at night time. Every single time I go in there he comes and hovers the area right behind me for however long I’m there for and I can see him glancing at my bum in the mirror. A few months ago he was hovering behind my treadmill looking at my bum for about 30 minutes, and today I was doing Romanian deadlifts and again I set up there a minute later he is there behind me with his hover.. he also starts hovering the deadlift platform I’m working on. I stayed here for 40 minutes waiting for him to finish hovering the area behind me. I then moved into the room where the track was because I didn’t wanna do RDLs which required bending over with him behind me, I grab my weights, one minute later he’s plugging in his hover in the same room as me.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym always a good atmosphere.

Positive experience: Great value for money. Shower pressure and water heat have now been improved and the locker rooms are always kept clean and in good order. Kit is all in pretty good nick. I really wish there was some order to the dumbbells but that says more about those that use them than the staff

Positive experience: First time in a public gym as I'm used to gymming at home alone. Wasn't overly busy which was a plus for me, all machines were clean and plenty of space to do your thing

Negative experience: Often over crowded and most machines are being use however, if you use the app and go at a quieter times its decent - toilets are always dirty and never seem to be clean when I go and tend to smell of sewage

Negative experience: Just moved to this gym from Sheffield, can barely get a good workout as the upstairs is just too hot, ac can’t be working, very disappointed as it’s quite off putting

Positive experience: Not enough benches, free weights room a complete mess most of the time. They should ban people for not putting them back in the correct place.

Fantastic experience: It's been my local gym for a few years, no, it can get very busy on peak hours but more than enough kit to go around staff are very friendly and loads of parking

Fantastic experience: I left a gym in Oaktree due to the bad attitude of the staff and some customers. But then I went to this gym for few years and they treated me with respect and care. The staff is lovely and so is the customers. I had to leave due to moving area but if I ever lived in Mansfield I would return to this gym. As I've said very friendly customers and staff, I'm glad I left on good terms with this gym. Not one complaint about this gym. Very professionals.

Negative experience: Yet again I've had to cut a workout short because for whatever reason (open sewage? gas leak? rotting carcass?) the back room leading to the bins absolutely reeks, so whenever the cleaners take rubbish out they leave the door open and it permeates the whole ground floor alcove; leaving you choking on this feculent miasma as you try and do reps... even once the door is closed it takes a while to disappate

Negative experience: Turned up early on Saturday morning, bought a day pass and wasn’t sent a PIN code to enter so I couldn’t get in. It’s unmanned so I pressed the buzzer and messaged on Facebook multiple times with no response and having already paid the fee. Finally got a message on Facebook 3 days later asking me to email for a refund but the email address is an auto reply to book classes. I’m out of pocket, wasted my time and the customer service is non existent

Positive experience: Decent gym but some observations - noticed a payment is required for some classes (notably yoga and Zumba) despite the monthly gym membership. Don’t think this is appropriate - noticed the closest disinfectant stand to the studio is downstairs so this is not convenient to wipe down equipment after a class - the fan/AC in the cycling studio is faulty.

Fantastic experience: The parking spaces are everywhere around the gym. You’ll find harder to come on the pick time but after 18:30 it’s nice to come and I highly recommend going to the classes it’s a life changing

Positive experience: It's cheap and there is generally a good selection of equipment available. My only gripes really are that the gym is often far too busy, even during the earlier evening hours. I suspect this is because they keep running promotions. In honesty, I would rather just pay more and have the gym be less busy. The other thing is that it's not unusual for pieces of equipment to be out of order for prolonged periods of time. The bigger annoyance for me personally is how busy it gets.

Fantastic experience: this gym meets all expectations. open 24 hours a day. August 2023 all treadmills, bikes and stairs were replaced with new ones.

Positive experience: Overall great gym and price however the classes are not consistent and can be dangerous. Spinning is my thing and done it over many gyms however certain instructors here encourage you to take your hands off the bike and lean. I've seen many person close to falling off and this is an accident waiting to happen. Spinning isn't made for hands free balance cycling and this gym should nip it in the bud quickly before someone gets hurt. I'll stick to the better instructors from now on.

Negative experience: All cleaning equipment removed which creates unhiginic environment. There is no way to clean equipment yourself.

Positive experience: It's a good gym and has most basic machines. My only issue is them not having enough flat benches which I think is a big inconvenience to anyone on chest day. Biggest problem is the fact that it's too busy even at 11pm onward...

Fantastic experience: Nice chilled environment, always something free and available to use, I don't go at peak times so can't say if it's the same at these times, but off peak it's brilliant! Nice friendly gym

Positive experience: Recently this hall has changed a lot for the better. I watched for a long time how the situation in this gym changed. At first I was unhappy with this place because it no longer lived up to expectations. It was also dirty and the napkins were removed for the use of guests of this gym. But apparently, after many complaints from people, the situation has changed a lot for the better. That's why I'm changing my review to positive now this place deserves it. I definitely recommend this gym and it is also open 24 hours a day, which is very convenient.

Fantastic experience: Easy to use equipment, friendly and clean environment, classes are great go to as many as I can :)

Positive experience: This is an ok gym, however the equipment is very old and unreliable. When using equipment such as treadmills or the stair steppers after a while they may suddenly just stop and start a cool down which makes it very annoying when just trying to do a 5k. If this gym upgraded its machines then it would easily be a 4/5 star however I feel for just a bit more a month a gym like anytime fitness if far superior as they have a greater range and newer machinery.

Fantastic experience: I've not been for a long time. I wanted to try it out again and so pleased I did. I enjoyed it. Iv found myself again and made me feel buzzing for the rest of the day. Each to their own for gym but its what I'm missing, equipment easy to use, tutorials online, some staff are there I'd needed, I didn't I had my good man showing me around. Toilets, changing room, everything in the building is clean and ready for you. There is plenty of equipment for you to use to suit all aspects.

Fantastic experience: Was nice and quiet when i went the half refurb was nice, clean gym. The area was separated veey nicely and you can have a good amount of space to yourself. The use of LED light in both the studio space was really cool and atmospheric. Loved the little functional area.

Negative experience: Been in this gym for about 1and half year now but it s never been so bad till now. It is insanely freezing inside. You cannot complete a proper workout without getting cold. You workout you sweat then they give you cold air, perfect combination! If I wouldn’t have a good personal trainer there i would quit this gym. Not to mention that if you use corner side downstairs it is very dirty, no one cleans! Big NO

Fantastic experience: I've had incredibly good experiences here. The facilities are extremely clean and any time I've seen a machine broken, it's been functioning again by the next visit. The temperature is well maintained making it a pleasure to be in regardless of outside temperature. Never interacted with the staff, so can't really comment on that aspect.

Negative experience: ******** becareful *********** My son was threatened by one of the members of staff whom told him he would shot him and put him in the back of the car.. police called, site seem to think the police have closed the case..the lack of information from site has made me do this review. Shame in you next stop the papers

Fantastic experience: Loved this gym, I travel around the whole of Midlands and get a gym session in when I have my lunch break. This is my favorite puregym by far, compared to others. Layed out really well and nice friendly atmosphere. Didn't struggle to get on any equipment but it was midday. I have gone to some where there heaving in the middle of the day so that was a bonus. Will.deffo visit again when I'm up here again.

Fantastic experience: Staff are friendly. We had a issue on the app and the manager helped us sort it . Good place to train and even though I have confidence issues in places like this I feel its friendly enough to attend on my own.

Positive experience: Wa a great gym. Currently atget too busy, around the time kids come out of school. Just treating it like a social club, a place to gather, sat on phones and just not doing much at all. Will be looking for a new gym.

Fantastic experience: Great place. Plenty of equipment with good options. Equipment is well kept and sanitiser is readily available around the gym. Lots of mirrors, which is helpful to watch your technique. Changing rooms also available with plenty of lockers and showers. Felt comfortable and clean. Definitely a good option and great value for money.

Negative experience: Pure gym Mansfield. Male toilets stink, and not in a good way, both blocked, some of the showers not working. Not the best. Get some air fresheners, fix your toilets and I may have given 3 stars.

Fantastic experience: All the PureGym team are welcoming and friendly. Classes are easy to book and cancel. Classes are great.

Negative experience: OK gym, lacks an incline bench, if you want to incline bench here you use a wobbly bench under a rack and it'll slip back if you aren't careful. Staff are alright. Puregym lock the toilets at midnight to 5am which is a joke. I work days and nights and there's never been any trouble in any 24 hour gym I've been to that has the toilets available for the late workers, but now Puregym lock them. So if I need the bathroom I'm meant to drive all the way home? How is that a good idea? Flooring in free weights is too soft near the corners and the free benches aren't very stable. It's ok if you're lifting light but the moment you lift heavy it goes all over the place. The flooring in the functional area is brilliant, they should use that across the entire gym!

Fantastic experience: An amazing place to go, especially if you want to get back into shape or get muscles. Still have their government guidelines in place, hand sanitising, social distancing and cleaning stations for a nice, friendly and clean environment. Definitely going back again

Fantastic experience: Over the years pure gym has been the only gym that improved rather than closing down, machines are a bit worn down and could do a nice refitting but overall great gym

Positive experience: Around 50 people in the gym and apart from the instructors I only saw one person wearing a mask. All non mask wearing gym members should be challenged or refused entry, but this is not the case. Shocking as most people in there were probably in the unvaccinated young are range that are now spreading covid.
