Fantastic experience: In our experience every visit to Dronfield sports centre has been a pleasure. We regularly go swimming and it's always clean and well maintained. My friends and I play squash and find it very easy to book online or in person with friendly helpful staff. They always have events such as roller skating which my children enjoy however adults also enjoy the session. they have gym sessions for children which my child is starting and I think this is an excellent way to introduce proper exercise to children in an age where technology has taken over and obesity is on the increase.

Positive experience: Great centre but awful parking. No parent and child parking, meaning I couldn’t get my baby out the car in her car seat. Very difficult to find a space as it is shared with shops.

Fantastic experience: My two year was really comfortable here independently moving around the toddler pool, climbing out and jumping in. The toddler pool was nice and warm and neither pool was too busy despite it being the weekend.

Fantastic experience: Excellent well equipped sports centre with swimming pool and cafe have taken my granddaughter many times part of dronfield civic centre with some great shops plenty of free parking good disabled access and entrance to sports centre quite busy today was quite difficult to park its an excellent location for a sport centre usually lots of free parking and it's part of a very good precinct

Positive experience: Fab place but toilets disgusting with toilet role on floor and lots of wet patches and no soap in toilet or ladies changing room. Great class though and my friend enjoyed a cake from the cafe.

Positive experience: Not used many facilities yet but so far everything has been great. Gym looks well equipped with most peirce of kit you could want. Squash courts are great

Fantastic experience: In rehab from an RTA - joined the gym with two of my children doing the Junior membership. Enjoying being able to use most equipment without having to wait. If you do weights you may have to hang on a wee while before being able to get on certain equipment - nothing different to any other gym I suppose. It’s not pretentious in here which helps us oldies!

Fantastic experience: we found this lovely pool on our wasted visit to hathersage swimming pool rather than drive back disappointed we googled and are we glad we did such a nice friendly place, o and it has a cafe great for an after swim warm drink.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, clean, great cafe with good prices. I spend a lot of time here and as well as the good general day to day stuff, when I've needed extra help like I walked into my car boot and arrived dazed they sat me down and gave me ice. The children's lessons are good. Unisex changing which makes life easier and they have really progressive rules like they can wear t shirts in the pool and flip flops to the pool side. The main pool can be a bit cold and the showers need new mixers they sometimes go far too hot.

Positive experience: Usually crowded, the facility should be enlarged to accommodate more people. Prices are too high for different activities. The online booking system does not match with the facilities provided. I booked swimming class from their website and was turned away on arrival saying that it is not available.

Fantastic experience: Great for a swim especially with little ones, plenty of parking behind. Pool availability and timings a little confusing. The centre's heating is also being upgraded to be more efficient / have less of an environmental impact.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I are very happy we swapped to this gym mid 2022! Staff are friendly and all facilities are well maintained and clean. Really enjoy Zumba on a Thursday night - the instructor is brilliant, it’s so nice to let go and have an hour of fun workout in a judgement free zone. Hoping the Tuesday night relaxed swimming sessions continue into the new year too, these are brilliant for people who suffer with anxiety.

Fantastic experience: Great facility, well maintained with friendly staff. I use the gym which has plenty of machines and loose weights. Also use the 2 squash courts for racketball. Both great value for money.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant venue, i have been playing badminton there for the last 6 months on a Friday afternoon and i couldn't wish for a nicer place. The staff are very friendly and very helpful in my opinion

Positive experience: Disappointing this time, the pool felt much cooler than it has done previously, my son only managed to stay in for ten minutes before going blue. There was not much pool available at 4pm for the general swim vector lessons in the big pool which was a shame.

Negative experience: Astonishingly poor service at reception. Arrived for a session 5 minutes before the start but the only oerson on reception was filling out an application form with a customer for over 10 mins, then started calling swimming customers who had obviously been asked to wait already. Eventually another member of staff arrived to help when the queue was out through the door. When asked about my session being extended they joked about the delay and thete was no apology for the, by then, 15 minute wait. Absolutely appalling. If you want to do a time critical session there, arrive at least 20 mins early.

Fantastic experience: Had a dip in the pool and an ice cream as we left. When more could you want. You're right, you need fabulous staff. Well they all are here.

Fantastic experience: We went to play table tennis. For 1 hour, it cost around £5. Bats and balls provided and we were provided with our own room. Overall good experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone else. Staff member at reception was friendly when we went in and directed us to where we needed to go

Fantastic experience: Went to the aqua fit.Very busy. Web page is really bad, not very clear booking your spot and no way to cancel if you make a mistake! I ended up booking in Eckington centre!! Aqua fit class was good. No one ever available to answer your enquiries on the phone, I tried several times and couldn't get anyone to pick up.Clean bright communal changing area with individual cubicles. You need 50 p for the lockers which is refundable. Lovely little cafe area when you come out. Wide range of activities available Apart from booking and admin the overall experience was very good once I got there!

Positive experience: Dronfield Sports Center based at the Dronfield Civic Centre in the heart of the town, offers a fabulous array of leisure and exercise options for the community and all at affordable prices... I have trained at the Gym within the complex for approximately 10 Years and it has been well maintained and extended during this time... Open until 21:30 Monday - Friday and until 19:00pm Saturday, 20:00pm Sunday, the timings are flexible too... £23.00 per Month for those individuals who just want to participate in Gym activity only... It is a facility where there is something for everyone... The staff are all pleasant too, offering their services as and where required

Positive experience: The only thing stopping me giving 5 is the amount of people who think it is essential to talk to each other whilst lane swimming. I've spoken to staff and they say that they get numerous complaints about this every day but there isn't anything they can do about it.

Fantastic experience: Dronfield Sports Centre is well equipped with various machines for the best workout. You can pick your option from one activity to multiple activities for various prices. People who have certain circumstances can use the facility for a substantial discount. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend this sports centre to anyone who is interested in taking care of themselves.

Positive experience: Went to Dronfield sports centre because Eckington Swimming pool was closed. What a disappointment (I'm sorry). Pool was smaller than Eckington. Lanes swimming was one (fast) lane only and at one point 6 of us were there. Given that everyone else in the rest of the pool were not swimming at any speed, I concurred that I belonged in the fast lane but it was cramped. I understand that just before we arrived there were 2 lanes. the water was cold (Eckington is usually warmer). Staff were friendly and helpful and lots of car parking available.

Fantastic experience: Love the atmosphere.nice clean pools. Wearing full clothing,no discrimination . Polite ,humble and cooperative staff . The plus point is one day you go and kids go free for 6 coming days. Happy to go their again.

Fantastic experience: Daughter has returned to swimming lessons. Under Covid things have changed. Have to praise DLC everything was well organised, impeccable.

Positive experience: I'll be honest. I only went into reception to drop my daughter off but the place looked clean and they had the necessary Covid precautions in place. The receptionist was kind and helpful too.

Fantastic experience: We came for a family swim which was very well organised. We were able to pre-book half of the baby pool so we had plenty of space to bring our daughter for her first swim. They were set up well to deal with social distancing and there was hand sanitiser dispensers through out the building.

Fantastic experience: I'm giving this place a, top hole 5 because I can't believe people review based on the outside and what is or not available, been coming here years post op (SHOULDER SURGERY) , everyone was helpful and friendly when I needed swimming advice, pool times are clearly given on the leaflet, it's clean and bright.. Pool is accessible to the disabled via a hoist and chair, little pool great for babies and toddlers as its warmer, brought my daughter here to learn, it's never overcrowded, and you can get a coffee after.. There are other swimming pools, but for me Dronfield offers all I Need and it's close to home.. Top marks lovely Dronfield civic centre sports people

Positive experience: Great for activities put on alot of things for kids and elderly from swimming classes, to badminton and an array of exercise classes. My partner and i took my son here for parent child swim 9.30 - 12.30 cost us £8 which I thought was a great price. They also have a cafe. But just outside the centre there are a few shops also.

Positive experience: Home of the Derbyshire Arrows basketball club. Lovely hosts for a national league game. The court itself is multipurpose and not ideal for basketball like so many UK courts because of overlapping markings. Floor level shot clocks were available. Changing rooms were for public use so difficult to have team talks. Staff were welcoming and helpful.
