Positive experience: The sauna is closed for weeks. Hair dryers work sporadically. Apparently they are waiting for parts for dryers.

Fantastic experience: Visited the facilities tonight to seek information on memberships. Carolann was pre-occupied with a task but put that on hold to offer to take us on a tour to show us the facilities and was super helpful! Couldn’t thank her enough

Negative experience: Dirty , it looks like nobody is cleaning. Despite relevant early hour 10 am floor and equipment is dirty.

Fantastic experience: Great facility. However don't use the hot drinks vending machine. It takes credit from your card but does not dispense drink. Call the customer service number which is posted in a conspicuous laminated notice to report a fault. However after listening to 6 options. My fault was #6 I got message our offices are closed.

Negative experience: Dropped a full cup of coffee today in soft pay area. Cafe hadn't a mop but assistant reported on radio. I eventually had to get paper towels and tried as best as I could to clear the mess. Apparently no response to radio shout. Very much not good enough.

Stewie: How can you say you don't like it if you haven't even given it a chance? Lois: I agree with Stewie. It's not really fair. Chris: It's outrageous. Peter: I have tried on three separate occasions to get through it, and I get to the scene where all the guys are sitting around on the easy chairs. Lois: Yeah, it's a great scene. I love that scene. Peter: I have no idea what they're talking about. It's like they're speaking a different... You know, that's where I lose interest in it. Lois: You know what, Peter, Chris: They're speaking Italian! Lois: The language they're speaking is a language of subtlety; it's something you don't understand. Peter: I love The Money Pit. That is my answer to that statement. Lois: Exactly. Peter: Well, there you go. Lois: Whatever. Chris: I like that movie too.

Fantastic experience: Great friendly professional staff, clean facilities unlike some other smaller Xcite sites in both regards. Friendly gym users polite, patient they dont hover over you if they want to use the same equipment unlike Broxburn, plenty of equipment and varied to whatever needs one may have. Had I not discovered this Bathgate, Linlithgow and Craigswood facilities I would have cancelled my Xcite membership.

Only moan would be that I don’t use the pool or sauna and therefore wish there was a gym only option for maybe £10 less a month for example but still cheaper and far superior to some better known gym chains. Positive experience: My son was at the swimming gala here. It was well organised as it usually is. Very good staff. Cracking wee cafe with good food and prices. Also watching the football outside, there seemed to be some very good football coaches aswell.

All was well organised including buffet for kids and great help at clean up at the end too. Staff very helpful and friendly, would book again. Again thanks so much for a great day!

Positive experience: Grandson has swimming lessons here on a Friday morning. He loves it. Not too many in the class but a lot of classes going on. Went to soft play after. Whilst parents were in the gym. Great place for all ages

Fantastic experience: Let me make one thing CRYSTAL CLEAR I'm not reviewing the xcite, I'm reviewing the pitch on the hill behind it. Me and the rest of the Climpy United boys set sail for an away day we would not soon forget. Although this wasn't supposed to be an away day, but unfortunately Climpy does not have a pitch as it is a road and a couple houses so the game was announced to be played at the "Rubbish Bathgate Pitch". When the gaffer told us this we merely brushed it off as mind games from our Bathgate opponents but oh boy were we wrong. We all showed up at the xcite car park for the 11AM kickoff at 6AM sharp (needed to warm up). And we realised we would have to climb the absolute mountain standing inbetween us and the so called "rubbish Bathgate pitch". We began our ascent at 6:09 and our LM, Wee speedy Kev immediately succumbed to frostbite. We thought oh well Kev's a wee diver anyway and powered on to glory. At 6:47 we had only made it a quarter of the way up, but had lost 4 men already. Casualties included the likes of: Kev, Our strike partnership of Lanky Pete and Big fat Gav who both tripped over their shoelaces and tumbled down the hill and our keeper Specky Steve who shouted "KEEPERS" and began beating up a random passerby. Steve is still awaiting trial. Anyhoo we finally reached the summit at 8:22 AM on the dot and after taking one look at the pitch we wished we never made the ascent. It was indeed rubbish. Our captain Gay Gary made the grave mistake of stepping onto the pitch and was immediately swallowed by the mud. The rest of us decided to just get on with it and played the match anyway. We ended up getting thumped 47-1 (they felt bad for us so they scored an own goal)

Positive experience: So cold ! The badminton courts are a trek and a half down and along and are in a kind of hangar like structure that looks like a plastic covered tent. I'm sure in spring/autumn the temperature will be fine but in winter it's absolutely baltic. The other strange thing is the acoustics are a bit odd.

Positive experience: Lovely warm kids pool and loads of baby changing cubicles with pull down tables. More than enough for all the parents in a swim class to use without waiting, so ideal for families. There are also buggy lockers at the main entrance.

Positive experience: Nice gym, good facilities, shame that there are tribes of youth just butchering the gym equipment and hanging about the gym as if it's a playground. Not a serious gym for working out but the equipment is good and new.

Positive experience: 9/10 gym facilities, nice and spaced out, only problem is if you're under 16, you're not allowed to use most of the arm training machines, apart from that, all good. Swimming facilities are also really fun to use! :)
