Fantastic experience: Clean, good choice of equipment, no idiots around messing about. All weights back in their spots. Nice little shower rooms too. A sense of people are there to workout properly and aren't there to mess about and be daft. Nice little gym.

Fantastic experience: Great gym

Negative experience: Pretty grim. Not well looked after, the weights are falling apart and the machines might be older than Stocksbridge. Not worth the money at all.

Fantastic experience: Went to this gym yesterday with my boyfriend and omg what an amazing experience such a fantastic little gym amazing facilities and the equipment immaculate condition will definitely be going back to them

Positive experience: It's OK. Not massive, not maintained particularly well but generally OK. 3 squat racks, 2 of them have lifting platform. Free weights. 2 cable machines (although one frequently breaks). Cost is fair. Nothing anywhere near closer to home for me which is why I go here. Atmosphere is better than some. Music is aimed at the young. Mixed ages go.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, has everything you need plus lockers for storage. Seems to be busiest around 6pm otherwise it's always pretty quiet. The ability to go in any other snap fitness gym is a massive bonus!

Fantastic experience: Having rejoined recently I am really enjoying training again it is a friendly gym with a good sense of community went here before and was the first member through the door when it opened its not a massive gym but we'll maintained and clean

Fantastic experience: It’s really quiet after 9pm so you can workout quietly. The gym has good shower facilities and the toilets are clean. The classes are really good and make you work for your calories in the day. Free parking and loads of spaces. 24/7 access which is perfect when you fancy a late workout. Good security. Air conditioner is always on. Clean equipment which is a must for me. Antibacterial spray and paper is available to use. Highly recommend and worth 26.99per month. Wish there was blue light card or student discount.

Positive experience: Decent gym, plenty of modern equipment, tidy and well maintained... Unlike my usual PureGym, there wasn't dumbells or weight plates all over the place! It's open 24 hours and there's ample parking and even a hand car wash just outside the gym. On the downside, if you like a protein bar after a workout, there aren't any vending machines. Just one fridge (that I could see) containing protein shakes. It's also a bit on the expensive side at £30 per month, double what I pay at PureGym. The staff weren't very helpful either; my partner and I went for a trial as we're thinking of moving to the area. The woman that greeted us just asked us to sign in then left us to it. No tour or useful information, it was a bit of a cold welcome to be honest. It is what it is... A decent gym in a good area with plenty of equipment and a "higher quality" of fellow gym members that know how to put a dumbell back in the rack! Still not sure I'd pay double what I pay now for a membership though.

Fantastic experience: I have been so impressed with the staff here. I have joined with my daughter and both have been made to feel welcome and comfortable. When we experienced a technical issue the customer service was above and beyond. Really feels like the staff are working hard to make this a great place to work out!

Fantastic experience: Snap fitness is quite consistent but this gym is one of the best in the franchise. Gym is over 2 levels, cardio and weights section split over two areas on the ground floor and upstairs has an additional area and lavatories. Staff on reception were friendly and there's always enough sanitisation equipment around the gym.

Negative experience: Cancelled my membership by email, gave them my 30 days notice, they continued to take £30 a month for 4 months after my cancellation period ended till I complained and said I had it in writing as I’d emailed them my cancellation request. They told me I’d get refunded and never have months later.

Fantastic experience: Been on the books here 2 years now. Staff are fantastic. Real mixture of people ages and abilities here. I find it an extremely friendly place to spend a few hours 'working out' and having a giggle. The app allows booking of various group sessions, which all seem a bit scary to me but they book up fast and the noises that come out of them seem to suggest they are well liked.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, excellent staff - I have been a member for over a year and attend at least 4 times a week. Prior to this I have joined gyms but never stuck them out. The staff and other members make you feel welcome. Nothing is too much trouble from the professional friendly staff who give tailored advice. Fantastic experience: Snap Stocksbridge is a great gym, with good facilities and good customer service at this branch. If you have any issues with the gym, contact the branch directly as they are much more helpful than head office. Thank you to Snap for sorting my issues quickly, once the confusion had passed.

Positive experience: Almost perfect Could do with another bench press and more kettlebells.

Negative experience: Theieves, they will not return your money when you cancel!

Negative experience: Not recommended for short term membership. Had monthly contract with them, £34.99 per month plus membership charge almost 17 pound something, I used it for a few times within these two months, I found it is very difficult to book the yoga class that I am interested in, so I decided to cancel It. However, when it comes to canceling the membership, it is 30 days plus the end of the month which started from the date that you received the cancellation confirmation e_mail, so i cancelled it on the 3rd July then I have to pay for July and August.

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for 2 years, love the 24hr access, I have a pt once a week and attend the bootcamp classes which I think are fab.

Negative experience: Looked like a nice gym but was turned away because they don’t do day passes!!! First gym I’ve been turned away from in 5 years!!! As a truck driver delivering in the area & just trying to keep fit :(

Negative experience: The gym itself is lovely & clean, however this must be the most Incompetent gym i have ever been too. Membership cancelled back in October, taken money from my account in November & December. Complained to snap about this several times and still not been refunded.

Negative experience: The gym is decent however, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I emailed to give my 30 days cancellation notice on 04/07 and I am still having to ring up to try and cancel my membership. Having received a reply on 10/07 offering me a free month, which i declined I have heard nothing else to confirm my membership has been cancelled. I have phoned twice this week and still got no confirmation that my contract will be cancelled. Also advised that despite me being on a rolling contract and me having given my notice on 04/07, i would be charged for the whole of August and not a proportion of the month up until 03/08 and therefore, I'm giving almost 2 months notice. Never had these issues when cancelling contracts at other gyms.

Fantastic experience: I'm a regular at snap fitness I joined back in June time ish and I absolutely love it, there is tons of classes, lots of machines etc and some really great coaches who are always so happy, friendly, welcoming and always pleased to see you and answer any questions you may have, ukdmt ask for a nicer team if im honest. I've been to a couple of gyms and I've liked them but none compare to snap fitness fox valley it really is like a little family and I can't see me ever going anywhere else I'll definately be renewing my membership when it's time to do so again.

Negative experience: Was brilliant initially....... Quick staff turnover, management leave a lot to be desired. Mainly involves hiding behind a desk giggling/ glaring. Impression of judgement and bad vibes. Having been in various gyms and fulfilled my memberships happily over the years. I'm dissapointed to be let down locally. The two stars are for the brilliant equipment and access, unfortunately a gym is more than that. The profession is meant to be about empowerment, non judgemental outlook and motivation toward's people. I felt non of that, for some the gym is there sanctuary. It's a sad state of affairs when the staff make it uncomfortable to walk in. Unfortunately I am not just speaking for myself on this one. For the price I expected a lot lot better. I think while behind the desk, rather than giggling, I would recommend some reflection and I don't mean from the weekends antics. Only thing that looks to need any management in that place is 'management's customer service'.
