Negative experience: Come on David Lloyd. Clean the gym! We pay too much for the gym to be this run down. Broken equipment, equipment taped up, and equipment which hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Also mould on the ceilings in men's showers. This is not acceptable.

Positive experience: Lockers being permanently padlocked, I appreciate they can be rented but the majority aren't. Why don't you have lockers that are rented assigned and identified (seen in a DL's in Hampshire) with all others marked with "No locks permitted overnight"

A very lovely friendly lady called Holly came to welcome me. We sat down Holly was so nice very professional & talked me through all the options I was very impressed with every thing & porous to say that I have joined through Holly to be a member with you:)

Fantastic experience: Vikki has been very supportive during the enrolment process. I have had lots of questions and Vikki answered them all, and has been very patient, as well as giving me a full tour of the facilities.

Negative experience: I’ve been a member of David Lloyd Narborough for several years, but I’m increasingly frustrated with the state of the facilities. The equipment is outdated and often broken, and it seems like there’s a lack of investment in keeping the club up to standard. The cardio machines are slow and unreliable, and the free weights section is in a constant state of disrepair. It’s disheartening to pay a premium membership fee and have to deal with such subpar equipment. I hope that David Lloyd will take notice of these issues and invest in improving the facilities. Until then, I’m considering switching to a different gym. Slavs broken and uneven at the entrance inside and outside Gym kit broken and adjustment knobs damaged/missing Bulge in gym floor near free weights allowing people to stumble with dumbbells Water machines rusty and scaled up 240v low level lighting around door apertures rather than 12v Wonky and different lighting around the gym causing shadows and dark patches Unsure where all these 5 star reviews are with zero photos of inside the gym.. must be friends of workers, but I’ll update these photos on a weekly basis to keep you with honest inside information

Negative experience: I've been a member of David Lloyd Narborough for several years, but I'm increasingly disappointed with the state of the facilities. The gym equipment is noticeably old and outdated. Many of the machines are worn and creaking, and there's a lack of modern technology or innovative features. It feels like the club hasn't seen significant investment in its equipment in quite some time. Given the high membership fees, I expect a much higher standard of facilities. It's frustrating to pay premium prices for a gym that feels outdated and in need of an overhaul. I hope David Lloyd Narborough will take notice and invest in upgrading their equipment to provide a better experience for their members.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined and went through the joining process with Holly who was lovely and very welcoming. Holly made be feel completely at ease as it is a bit daunting especially if you are joining on your own. Since joining I am loving it especially the swimming, I had a taster PT session with Elly who was also lovely. The surroundings are really nice and whilst it is more expensive than most bog standard gyms in my opinion it’s well worth the money as the whole experience is just so much better.

Fantastic experience: I went for a swim on Saturday ( 6th July) and was talking to a lovely lifeguard called Summer. This young lady could light up a dark room with her smile. We were talking about her lifeguard role and what she was going to be doing in the future. Before anyone jumps in and starts saying she shouldn't be talking while on duty !. The whole time during our conversation she never once looked at me and my grandson, she was scanning the pool to make sure everyone was safe . This young lady is a credit to Dave Lloyd !. Well done Summer !.

Negative experience: Far too busy, incredibly difficult to book onto classes and the gym is incredibly hectic if you go after work. Still a nice environment in the lounge and staff are always welcoming. Shame as used to be an all round amazing place.

Negative experience: *my legal name is different to the one show* The facilities are awful, the jacuzzi’s chlorine needs to be tested- every time I go in my eyes are stinging, watery and irritated and you can smell how strong it is. You can’t book a badminton court after 7ish - always fully booked which isn’t fair on members (I have tried since March and only had access once). The equipment is falling apart, there’s a few treadmills where the incline gets stuck and doesn’t go back down, not enough equipment for a leg day. For a gym that costs over £100 a month - it needs to do better. When I had a membership in 2018 they used to provide water with cucumbers now it is plain water. Trying to cancel proves difficult with notice periods etc. Maybe the meridian branch is better. Wouldn’t recommend for the price that you have to pay- if it was cheaper that’s fine, but it’s awful and still over £100 a month.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I visited yesterday for a tour, which was kindly accommodated at the last minute. We had the pleasure of taking a tour with Jack, who was fantastic and open to answering mine and (mainly) my wife’s many questions about what membership included! He gave us plenty of time to make a decision, in the end I’d have to say his customer service was the deciding factor and we have both signed up, my wife has visited today and loves the facilities! Positive experience: I have been a member since the club started I have seen many changes in that time I am generally happy but in recent times I find the communication poor I am a pensioner only swim now. The pool was closed for major maintenance recently I went for my usual swim at 7:30 am it's closed I queried why I wasn't notified to be told everyone had an update (I didn't) the reply was the the outdoor pool is opened nothing we can do? I have just had major surgery and at my age I am not going outside? I was told the pool would be open two days later I went the water was freezing couldn't swim another wasted journey. Again I was told I should have had an email I didn't. After a heated discussion I was told Clare would give a courtesy call manage I think I am still waiting I emailed the got a message from Clare telling me what I have been told countless times check your junk mail and your settings I am not a fool? I asked her to send me a separate email so I could check she couldn't do that it's done on block I am running out of patience I pay £80 a month the pool is the only facility I use for health reasons I appreciate maintenance has to be done but its not acceptable the attitude I have experienced

Negative experience: £150 joining fee? And then £340 per month for a family of 5? Shocking

Fantastic experience: Met Vicky this morning for my Tour of the venue, she made me feel at ease in a place I’d normally have anxiety about. Vicky was welcoming, gave me a great tour round the venue and was able to answer questions I had. Vicky explained all membership details with me so I could make the right choices for my own specific needs. I actually became a member today before leaving as I knew I’d been given all the information I needed to make a sound decision.

I was nervous both times and she honestly gave me all the reassurance and information I needed to give me the confidence to join. Shes super friendly and every time I saw her, she always came to say hi. The club is great too, such nice people, amazing facilities and a place to be yourself. There's so much on offer, you can't not like it. Great place with a bit of luxury too.
