Positive experience: This gym is huge! Nice and clean, loads of available equipment, free parking for a couple of hours - but for a relatively new gym with up to date equipment it was odd to find that the lockers seemed to have been acquired from a 1980s swimming pool. Otherwise a perfectly adequate PureGym.

Negative experience: Good equipment, ease of access, but WiFi still not working after weeks of raising this with staff. Worth noting before you join if you want to listen to music etc without eating into your mobile data.

Positive experience: Friendly staff good atmosphere. Could do with more equipment due to volume of people attending

Fantastic experience: Perfect with many different machines. Plenty of treadmill machines. The dumbbells are up to 50kg rowing machines. Much more really somewhere to discover and train best feature is that it's 24/7 7/7

Positive experience: Good gym, with decent equipment - although lacking on leg workout machines. Quite busy all the time, best time to visit seems to be late at night.

Negative experience: The equipment and classes are okay, but there are too many people. A lot of teenagers, who gather in groups and stay on their phones. A few times I couldn't finish my workout because of that. I'm looking for another gym in the area. I definitely do not recommend this place.

Negative experience: Was a great gym, but a bit neglected now, don't know how the cost cutting should affect the paying customer, on entrance at night 1 light only working, has been like that for a good while, pretty soulless with no tv monitors playing, please sort it out.

Fantastic experience: Loved it. All in one level, no stairs, no traffic, no dirt. Lots of cardio equipment and all the necessary strength and free weights equipment anyone may need..

Negative experience: The gym area area itself is good with plenty of machines and equipment but the changing areas are filthy. The showers haven’t been cleaned on any visits and the toilets stink of urine, again on each visit. This is even after staff have gone into the changing rooms to inspect it. Other PureGyms I’ve noticed have a dedicated cleaner instead of fitness staff checking toilets and I’ve noticed a huge difference in their cleanliness. This rating would be much higher if it wasn’t for the cleanliness as the rest of the gym is good but it’s unhygienic and dampens motivation before and after workouts. This is my first month joining so wanted to give it a while to see if it improved but it’s been the same on several visits, so hesitant to continue membership.

Negative experience: Size of gym and equipment is good but there has been no hot water in the showers for ages and the showers/toilets/changing rooms are filthy. Still the same bits of rubbish lying about in various places since last week. Including the empty spray bottle we are supposed to use to clean equipment ( still in the same spot from last week with the lid off completely empty). With winter approaching I’m cancelling my membership and finding somewhere with hot water.

Positive experience: One constructive feedback, is that I contacted two different personal trainers, we missed each other once and I never heard back. I was looking for personal session for quite some time, gave up on some point, as I did not had the time to chaise. Tank you.

Negative experience: Gym is poorly kempt, female changing rooms stinking to the point eyes watering, beyond a disgrace, equipment constantly broken

Negative experience: Cheap BUT really really poor maintenance and cleaning standards. Important to note that I’ve seen older or inexperienced people exercising and the PT’s laugh about it instead of offering help. If you’re new to gyms this is not the place for you. Also expect smelly and dusty locker rooms

Negative experience: There is not support from personal trainer's at the gym! Even after induction day when I asked if someone could show me how to set up a machine. I was left without help and with negative rude approach toward me as a member. Personal Trainers are only income oriented not helping people. Defo I am looking for a new gym.

Positive experience: Great spinning instructors but toilets not always clean and don't locks broken on toilets. Not great

Negative experience: The gym is fine but it has poor equipment and the changing rooms and showers are the worst, there has been no hot water for a long time and when you mention it to the stuff they do nothing to fix it.

Negative experience: No hot water in the showers. Nobody listen when you complain about it. Outrageous.

Fantastic experience: I’m really enjoying training here staff are super friendly and there’s a nice comfortable atmosphere in the gym. Great choice of weights and machines and lots of space. I’m a ever returning beginner so it’s been great to meet some people who know their stuff especially James (pink hair) he’s been so helpful with my training just giving me a bit of guidance when I need it. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: I have lost a stone in 8 months really enjoy the classes as I only go to classes but the class instructors are really helpful and supportive and put you threw your paces which I'm seeing results so a would defo recommend and its affordable aswell as its a mix of men and women at any age so it's very comfortable

Fantastic experience: I use pure gym for when I am travelling. This was one of the biggest I have been to. It has lots of equipment. It was busy when I went but still there was very little waiting to use equipment. Also lots of free parking out the front.

Negative experience: The gym by itself is alright. Two stars for the shower facilities in the men changing room. Mold in the corners of shower cabins. The type of shower doesn't allow you to take shower properly. Water doesn't rich far enough, 15-20 cm from the wall. You need to bend your head to wash it. Constantly scratching and hitting your back and joints against the wall. Need to find proper position to be able to wash yourself. Also, you need to push a button every 5 seconds to keep water running. Very inconvenient!!

Positive experience: The gym size and the equipment available is excellent. The biggest let down is the changing rooms, the lockers and showers are all in serious need of upgrading. Half the lockers don't work, showers have no power.

Positive experience: 3 big units, full of equipment. If you go off peak times you won't struggle to get equipment. During peak times there might be a wait for either a bench or machine. Staff are friendly and good facilities inside.

Negative experience: A total dump, dirty, untidy, some equipment not working for over a year, sports water station on and off, locking mechanism on lockers so damaged and poor quality that lockers are easy to pop open so not secure at all, height/weight machine in charge rooms never works properly, rarely gives printouts so don't waste a quid, music either loud or nonexistent. A bit of a dump, seen better gyms in shanty towns in third world countries.

Positive experience: Good gym, could do with abit of attention in changing/shower rooms, being able to control temp/ power, actual cubicles, overal nice gym.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to write a review as I was planning on starting this gym on Monday and I see mixed reviews staff members really should be wareing a t-shirt with the name off the gym on it so if someone like the other lad said he lost his bag so you can ask and if not that promote the gym they work at and having staff that make you feel uneasy is a put off to now am in 2 minds weather to join now !!!!

Negative experience: I miss placed my school bag, and when I went to go see if it was at the gym I couldn't find it anywhere, I know it was at the gym when I took it off and I cannot find it and since no one was wearing uniform I didn't know if anyone was a worker, so when I tried to call the gym but I was met with an awnsering machine that doesn't take voice messages so now I'm stuck without a bag until I can go back to see if they even have a lost and found.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly gym where all walks of life is attending. Lots of us has potential fatal illnesses (diabetes, depressions, angina) we are getting rid off there and Pure Gym is the ideal place for this. There is no body shaming and no posing in this gym. We are all working on our health and there is no shame in being a walrus in Pure Gym. Smile and everyone will smile back to you. I love it there.

Positive experience: Good gym, good equipment, good franchise. Rude staff, tall black guy with dread-locks or pony tail, typical hate cooperate type. Demanded he was king of the doors and had no music on. He made you feel like you didn't have the right to be their because you weren't as fit as him. Bad customer service, since joined a different gym just because of this worker. Despite it being less convenient, more money and less equipment that's how much it is important to employ the right people who will actually accommodate not degrade the experience.

Positive experience: I would have given 5 stars however the lockers are poor condition and shower trays are filtjy

Fantastic experience: Modern, good tunes, reliable equipment. Have used for years.

Positive experience: Standard pure gym kit so you know what you are getting but the floor space could be utilised better and have more equipment. Only one lifting platform with additional two squat racks. Only hamstring machine is seated which is annoying. Changing rooms are looking tired. Overall I don't think it justifies the additional membership cost compared to accessing some of the other one's in Glasgow.

Fantastic experience: Nice clean gym. 24 hours helps as we train before 5am most mornings.. friendly staff.. and no 1 bothers you .. every 1 just gets there headphones on and gets on with it. Great gym,, so glad we made the move. Grat choice of equipment aswell

Negative experience: Lovely staff, clean gym and great if you want to only use gym facilities. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately if you only want to go to classes. Lacking in variety, quantity and frequently being cancelled. Website indicates a number of classes that we haven’t seen in months or even years sadly.

Positive experience: Usually really good. Some users aren't great at cleaning equipments and some machines could use with some replacement parts (torn leather), but overall one of the better Pures I have used

Positive experience: Staff are friendly. Most of the equipment works, just your standard gym. No complaints.

Negative experience: If you are like me and a beginner and going by yourself it is quite daunting. Not a chance to lift any weights due to that area full of posers and people milling about. That has been the situation everytime I can go which is weekdays around 5-6 pm. So will spend my money somewhere else.

Positive experience: A lot of equipment so everyone will find something. It's to loud where they have fitness classes. It's very busy sometimes and the worse are people that occupies equipment but instead of doing workout they chatting on their mobiles.

Negative experience: I went to pure gym last night after I've been using jd gym for a good while, and it was shocking it looked like a classroom out of control, equipment and trash just lying on the floor, tbf a member dosent pay their membership to become a cleaner for puregym, but puregym themselves should really have someone taking care of putting equipment back on its place, clean the floors, the same broken equipment aswell as missing equipment should be replaced aswell, I don't like having to scout around to find cabin hooks for me to use the tower, and at the same time knowing that now someone else is gonna have to do the same after me because there's not enough for all the stations.. Honestly the way puregym looked yesterday really put the gym to shame and I felt frustrated when I was leaving, it had zero therapeutic effect, I even had to cut my workout short out of frustration.. Another thing what's going on with the light, its like something from a cheap American medical clinic, pure gym has sunken deep, it's been neglected and I'm sure there's a thousand excuses for why that is, but excuses shouldn't exist in a gym, get it done

Negative experience: There is just no need for the 11 people in the far away room to be deafened by music louder than the microphone the lass was shouting through, I count 5 in total in the class including the instructor . Been a lot less often than I usually was and surprised how long machines are out of use (pending repairs I guess) I dunno what happened, I used to love coming here

Positive experience: Needs more equipment and there is plenty of space for it. Difficult on early mornings to get on the leg extension/curl machines, cable kits and bench press. Too many of the staff let novice members work equipment poorly and the majority of male staff are poor at the tidy/cleaning. Need to be more aggressive with members who don't put equipment back, it's unacceptable and while everyone should be welcome in puregym, those types of people should be the exception.

Fantastic experience: Good open space and lighting. Not too busy but went over lunch, not sure about the evenings. Great range of equipment and cleaning stations dotted around.

Fantastic experience: Large number of free weights and machines, as well as an extensive cardio section. Many many cleaning stations that are maintained and kept stocked. Don't know about the classes as I don't use them, but they seem fun and action packed. Friendly staff and trainers, the gym goers are great people too. Costs 20£ per month with a 15£ joining fee, definitely worth the money I would say.

Negative experience: Shocking no where near enough equipment and to many client thats the thing about commercial gyms they think its acceptable to allow 20 teenagers spread out over 3 benches getting 1 set in every 10 mins and the people who are actually there to better themselves are stood scratching there head
