Fantastic experience: Lovely gym with a great variety of classes! Also the trainers are very friendly. I would recommend to anyone thinking of joining a gym.

Positive experience: Mixed feelings,the gym is good but I don’t understand how you can increase the price by an additional £6 since opening its doors.Initial agreement was £29.99 and now £35.99….. Nothing has changed for the price increase

Fantastic experience: I joined a few weeks ago so far I am very impressed especially the cleanliness standard. There's a lady going round wiping down all equipment and hoovering. There's also spray and York available if you want to wipe down equipment after use. Good choice of the equipment and many classes to choose from

Negative experience: Not a good start here, I was informed that the cost of membership for over 55's was £25/mth and told to come to the gym for sign-up. When I got there the price was £32.99/mth. Totally unacceptable to mis-sell like this.

Negative experience: Gym ok men’s changing rooms smells horrible and the showers are dirty could do a lot better for the membership price most expensive gym in the area

Positive experience: Gym is great, plenty of machines and a good size also. Could benefit from getting the lockers in the men’s changing rooms repaired as I have noticed quite a few with doors off and some do not lock properly.

Positive experience: Good gym but they tell you on their website there is a discount for over 55’s. When you ask for it they don’t do it and take it off website temporarily. Then when you’ve signed up they sneak it back on website. The bottom line is no discount for over 55’s. False advertising.

Fantastic experience: Plenty of equipment and not having to wait around. Staff are all really nice. Music is good if you forget your headphones.

Fantastic experience: Good sized gym with plenty of good quality machines. Large weight area with plenty of benches, and a decent sized free car park. Well worth the monthly fee, would recommend

Negative experience: There is no consistency with the business, the staff is changing all the time. They are unprofessional, unhelpful and clearly not experienced enough to run a business. I would stay away.

Fantastic experience: What a great 1st day experience at the gym Callum (fitness instructor) gave me an induction of all the equipment, with lots of advice to improve my strength and stamina. Highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience, great vibe, never have to wait for equipment and loads of range. The Juice bar for a shake after the gym is absolute top notch too!

Negative experience: It say 37 a month but they tried taking 47 a month I didn't get a good induction just walked around that's it I'm not paying 47 a month

Fantastic experience: Cool gym with a boutique feel for a fraction of the price. A good range of classes to suit anyone's fitness level, and some of the loveliest instructors! The building itself is quite beautiful, it feels like a treat to go in and spend time there.

Positive experience: Great place to exercise with plenty of equipment and not so busy even during weekdays. Due to the size of the gym, the equipment may need to be checked a bit more frequently for TLC though.

Fantastic experience: Nice gym, friendly staff. Since I joined almost a year ago I've gotten to know a few very nice local people and for the first time in my life I really enjoy going to the gym too. Different atmosphere than any other gym I used to go to.

Negative experience: I have told the manager so many times about the facility nothing has been done the changing room floor is wet and dirty needs to be checked regularly the showers are cold then gets lukewarm and sometimes stops and u have to move to another shower cubicle. at the weekends the staff switch off the sauna 40min before closing time and most equipments are unusable I am paying £36 a month and not getting the full service it’s a joke!! Overall the staff the gym is good but the standard has dropped big time most of the lads in the sauna we have a chat saying the standard is gone down and loads people are complaining…this needs to be sorted before you lose customers!!!

Positive experience: nice gym, clean and great boxing areana. The changing areas have great showers and small touches like hand bobbles and deodorant for use. Couple of classes were cancelled because the instructor didnt turn up but most of them are friendly and on time

Positive experience: It was not very busy so there was no waiting around for a favourite apparatus. Friendly and considerate people today as usual

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve ever seen.. too many quality equipment’s

Positive experience: Huge gym, always imacculate and clean! Best gym in the area that is still open. The gym just lacks certain equipment eg, abdominal equipment and the machines are cheap. Benches in the dumbell area are not adjustable from the bottom, cables always fall to wear and tear and gym needs Olympic style barbells that don't slip of the back. Barbell bench isnt the best either. I do enjoy this gym but improvements can be made personally. For the average gym goer these are minor issues but when compared to other gyms, the equipment can be improved... nevertheless this is still an awesome gym I'm just picky with equipment.

Negative experience: The most unfriendliest gym I have been to. Done 12 month here and glad I’m leaving.

Negative experience: Was a great gym at the beginning, however classes seem to take place in the rig and take up alot of equipment even though there is empty rooms for classes upstairs. I have been doing a workout in the rig 15 mins prior to the class start time and have had the class instructor setting up equipment under my feet and all around me with a face on. I work out every morning but now it puts me off going as you have no space anywhere for a circuit workout as a class is taking place in the middle of the gym. On another note the PTs seem to have great customer service as for the rest of the staff it just seems like a hangout for them.

Positive experience: Clean, bright gym with loads of equipment. Tends to get quite busy, but generally this isn't too problematic. Good range of classes. Changing rooms are always immaculate. My one gripe is that you often get filmed in classes for Instagram stories/posts, which I thoroughly dislike. I understand the need for marketing and publicity but would prefer not to have my sweaty, gurning face posted for all to see :)

Fantastic experience: Best gym I have been to in the Rossendale Valley. All the equipment is brand new and the staff keep the place clean & tidy.

Positive experience: So, the fith star is for when I get my mojo back and go inside the gym. From what I saw, if you can not get fit here, give up. Every piece of equipment you will need to help you on your journey to a better quality of life is here. Looks fantastic inside and lots of space to move around in. Very large parking area, so no problem there. Different types of membership to suit your pocket.

Fantastic experience: I like it. It’s big, the kit is new and top of the range. Everything is clean and works. They get the basics right which is more than can be said for a lot of other gyms in the area

Negative experience: Was decent at first but the equipment is showing how cheap it was as everything has an issue especially anything with cables, pin loaded machines wonky and stick after only a year and twice iv been now where there's no water out and no vending machine which is totally unacceptable, add on top every local business in Rossendale gets out in the community and this place just seems to be like sure we will take your money but don't expect us to get involved in anything, doesn't have the same feel as any other business in the valley at all

Negative experience: Brilliant gym and great equipment but in recent months the standards have dropped. The staff can be pushy in the last hours and switch machines off at 930 and always without fail try switching the sauna off 1 or 2 hours early. I have heard from other gym users that they have to tell the staff to turn the suana back on at 8 pm 2 hours before the gym closes. The sauna should have clear opening and closing times on.If it wasn't for the 2 above it issues this review would have been 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Never been here and looks fantastic but is there a pool !!!!

Negative experience: Managerial customer service & admin is terrible/non existent mostly - the Harland (company who manages their member contracts) rep was also surprised at Thrive’s incompetence re my experience, so I dealt directly with Harland to sort my membership as they agreed it was unlikely Thrive would contact them (as would usually be expected) to clarify what was needed. There’s a 1* FB review which also implies similar issues with their membership. Re Thrives reply below; if that email address is the responsibility of the current gym manager, there is no point replying to it. They need to be gifted a pad & pen so they don’t forget to send what they need to several times over. They need to reread & better understand their own terms & conditions when applying clauses to members requesting cancellation & receive further training across all managerial duties.

Fantastic experience: Plenty of space and equipment, far too many to mention, i.e. 24 benches, two sets of dumbells 2kg -70 kg Upstairs has a studio and separate spin studio, sauna and good changing rooms. A separate boxing gym with full size ring and equipment. Attached area for food and drink. Good staff and easy parking and a good place for grub

Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing gym! Staff is really friendly and helpful: I forgot to book an induction and they still have me time to show me how to use machines and show me around. Equipment is fantastic: brand new, very clean, high-tech. Treadmills even have the option to watch videos on them, have usb and headphones port. Changing rooms and lockers are extremely clean, well lit with in the ladies room, blowdriers and tampons if the need arises (which I find an absolutely lovely touch). I didn't feel ashamed for not being fit and really enjoyed my time, even looking forward to coming back very soon!

Fantastic experience: This gym is something else never seen a gym like this in my whole life .. walked in one day to check the place out and then next day signed up staff are really helpful in the gym and the equipment are brand new and I mean brand new very good running machines really up to date equipment 70KG dumbbells which was a big shock ti the system and it’s a big nice smart gym would definitely recommend joining this gym if you live in the area .. got is own cafe we’re you can get a good healthy meal and drink and changing rooms got a sauna boxing classes yoga classes very classy gym .. you can’t get in without a pass and it’s a very clean respectful friendly gym couldn’t ask for enough 5 star ⭐️ rating for me

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere & staff , it gives you a experience and feeling no other gym I've been too, never finding im having to wait for equipment , equipment is a top spec @ a very reasonable price, there's a barbers & beauty place there too and a cafe with great food & staff. Event nights at times with saxophonist with free food & bouncy castles and trampolines for mothers day face painting for kids the list goes on , ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Positive experience: Excellent gym. Very spacious with plenty of equipment and free weights, a room dedicated to boxing and plenty of classes included within the membership. Can't go wrong with this for 30 a month. Changed to 3 stars as they won't allow access to the boxing gym, only for classes and PT, which is a massive letdown.
