Negative experience: Decent gym with good equipment just too small for its own good. don't expect to get anything done during term time holidays as the place gets absolutely packed to the point where it's stupid and impossible to do anything, desperately needs expanding

Fantastic experience: I mainly do the classes, which I really enjoy, the staff are great and they always create a fun, enjoyable experience. All the staff are really friendly and are always there if any assistance is needed. The gym is always clean.
Fantastic experience: Great gym, clean, tidy, got on all the equipment I needed to without waiting, as I chose my time to train. Free weights area was not too busy when I trained. There was always a squat rack free, benches available etc

Fantastic experience: I am brand new to gyms in total. I've only been going for 5 days, for an hour and a half a day, give or take, but the place has been amazing. The people and staff are so nice, and it's always clean from what I have seen. I would 100% recommend it. Hopfuly this time next year my experience will be the same.
Positive experience: A good gym, plenty of equipment, although less than there was before covid. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the showers are not very hot & the water pressure wasn't very powerful. Overall a good place though

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff member showed me around. Weight lifting area downstairs, cardio and muscle upstairs. All very well equipped including showers and vending machines. Had to park using a nearby carpark, which was the only downside (no free parking). I will definitely go back when in Grimsby.

Negative experience: I tried to cancel my membership 5 days before biling as instructed on the app and they charged me anyway terrible customer service too
Positive experience: Over night lockers always full of peoples gear they leave there for months on end, filtered flavoured water machine is 50/50 if its working
Negative experience: Rubbish, went online as instructed, they don't reply to emails, not be seeing me
Fantastic experience: I only started using puregym Grimsby at the beginning of January 2023. I joined as I work full-time & they have early morning classes 6.30-7am. It is a friendly environment, great clean facilities and varied intense classes which suit my needs. I can train, shower and then go to work. Great start to the day

Negative experience: This gym has run into the ground all the equipment wires and facilities are worn out and out dated and there is not enough to facilitate the volume of people in the gym at a time worse than when I was last here

Negative experience: Not enough equipment for the amount of members there are, lockers are all knackered and have to fight to get a decent one as everyone leaves the locks on 24/7(get them cut off) The one & only hair dryer in the men's changing room has been our of order 4 months now and not replaced even after several reports over the months. Just like the gym equipment is falling apart and takes an age to fix & weight plates are falling apart.

Fantastic experience: Was very surprised how large the gym was. Loads of equipment convenient location, friendly atmosphere I'm very happy training here. Only thing they could improve is adding a few more plates downstairs as when someone is using the leg press there can be a shortage.

If the showers are cold there may be an issue with the boilers. Fantastic experience: My experience at pure4play was absolutely tremendously extraordinarily ordinary. There was good customer service and they kindly hung my kids on the hooks on the way in, on the way out my kids were removed from wall hooks and personally handed to me this only costs £27,000 + VAT. Furthermore the equipment was used by a boomer and they didn’t clean the seats then when I told them to they yelled at me and informed that they identified as a piece of gym equipment. With my newly gathered information I proceeded to attempt to use the person as gym equipment and then was told off my a member of staff because that is a violation of human (item) rights. Overall my judgement on why queen Elizabeth was such a good monarch was because she was a virgin little scampi weirdo
Fantastic experience: Always a good atmosphere, helpfull staff if you have any questions. Staff keep the place nice and clean you never see any dirt anywhere. Sanitising points for wiping equipment down after use.

Positive experience: Best priced gym in town,open 24 hour's,lack of contact with staff which is great for people like me who don't like talking to people much and you don't have to do a introductory session but for those that do want that sort of bit from a gym obviously it wouldn't be for them.

Positive experience: It can be quite daunting entering it and getting the equipment the glass fronts not great if you're shy and sometimes the equipment isn't working properly but I do like the independence of it and the price is reasonable. The lockers get stuck though and sometimes you have to wrestle it back open.

Negative experience: What an awful place, mostly always way too full, one quiet room which most of the time they take away to do stupid classes in? absolutely no thought about people with anxiety at all! People are left on their own, staff don't watch, seen about 10 people use the leg press wrong, its just the fact that people are hurting themselves and the staff are clearly not bothered! overpriced.

Positive experience: It is a good experience here at gym. I gave you four stars guys because not all the personal it's happy to help. I had to ask two times for a quick tour which is not very nice to be honest. So what can I say now is to watch your personal guys. Coming tomorrow too!

Negative experience: No parking, can't get on equipment and when you can it's filthy with sweat.
Hi Monique. Sorry to hear this! Our gyms are very popular and can become busy, especially at peak times! The busyness does fluctuate throughout the day, and from day-to-day. There is a section on the website and the app which shows how many people are in at that time which is a great way to help plan your session. Furthermore, it is in the Gym Rules that members should bring their own towels as a courtesy to other members. We made a conscious decision as a company to not provide wipes, so we could reduce waste from all of our gyms. If you have any concerns or suggestions, please speak with your Gym Manager. Fantastic experience: Plenty of machines and free weights and cardio equipment. Friendly atmosphere and as it's 24 hours you can workout either around others or pretty much on your own.

Fantastic experience: All I've heard us bad things about the pure gyms in Birmingham so I've never been. Now I'm working away all the time I thought I may as well join PureGym as well as gym group for more locations. Thus place was great. Especially the amount of effort they've put into the cleaning stations. All equipment was mint condition and there were a good amount of Bench's in the free weigths section. Ashame I walked off the job I was working on due to the site manager being the pinnacle of a royal bell end. Defo worth a try if you live local

Negative experience: Asked about a 1-1 personal trainer for my autistic son, and the lass said that they haven't got a clue about disabilities! Won't be going there then...

Positive experience: Needs more staff for support
Fantastic experience: Amazing atmosphere and the staff was lovely considering I was really nervous and it was my first day being in the gym, everything was super easy to use aswell.1 staff member in particular helped my partner and me with my scoliosis on what exercises would be best and what not to do.
Fantastic experience: Great gym , plenty of equippment well spaced out , and everyone has been friendly since joining last week . Great that i can go anytime of day and so able to fit 2 sessions a day in , morning is best as its quieter but no complaints from me

Positive experience: Only went for a little while. Quite clean, lots of equipment and classes. But I found it overly crowded and had to wait for machines which is why I left.

Positive experience: Good gym odd staff member needs to adjust their attitude towards mental illness apart from that nots not a bad place to train...they coyld do with playin abit more rock music than they do.

Negative experience: Customer service is an absolute joke - Payments were taken when they shouldn't have been whilst on membership freeze/payment holiday, when contact customer services about it they reply with a generic reply and ignore the request of a refund UPDATE ON PURE GYM'S REPLY - I contacted you on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week via Facebook as your phone lines are still closed. I also messaged you last Thursday on Twitter. When I was getting nowhere I even visited the Grimsby branch on Friday and spoke with the manager who emailed you on my behalf. You have had ample opportunity to sort this before I left this review and quite frankly I've given up! If only you were as quick to reply to customer queries are you are their reviews.

Fantastic experience: It's a gym....it's got all the stuff you need at a gym....a monthly membership gets you 24-7 admission....if you just wanna stay in shape or buff up like Arnie it's worth it...GET TO THE CHOPPAAAA.... :)

I'm afraid it's true our gyms simply are very popular and so can become busy especially at peak times, but this does fluctuate throughout the day and from day to day.
