Fantastic experience: Lovely friendly staff ..the girls on reception are always nice to see. I use a monthly Swim pass very good value for money (£28). Loads of parking. Good early opening ( 06.30). Everything spotless. Very prompt action on anything that's broken when reported ( shower head)

Fantastic experience: Popped in here with our little one to kill some time before a hospital appointment. The soft play was great and cafe served a decent coffee too.

Fantastic experience: Reception staff were very friendly and helpful in me joining for the week whilst I visited the area. They showed me the swimming pool and spa area. Also, the staff by the pool were polite in helping me find my way around for the first time.

Negative experience: Poor reception staff that came across as rude and condescending. Assumed I knew the opening hours and then when i asked talked down to like I was the idiot. Place was clean but not a lot of work going on lots of staff stood round chatting. Place was clean and well presented and large gym facilities, staff need training on communication skills. *must do better* Left and went to Morpeth instead to see if they were better

Negative experience: Attended an event today centre was pretty clean but the price and quality of the food was ridiculous over £7 for a cheap hotdog and tuna wrap. Was people complaining they had waited to long or not received there food so wanted refund. There was alot of people there today and they locked the toilets. Not the best

Negative experience: A receptionist there had an exceptionally poor attitude towards me today. I have a GP referral and she pointed out I don’t get any privileges just because my GP had referred me. I wanted to go swimming and had been on 2 previous occasions without booking. I’m new to the area and have never come across “booking” a place before and as it was part of my programme I didn’t know I had to! Here snotty attitude stunk and has not only affected my mental health but also my physical health! It takes ALOT for people with health problems to attend a leisure centre and she just destroyed any positivity I had begun building!!

Negative experience: The staff and facilities are excellent and I would of given Ashington Leisure Centre more stars, however, the management of the place are clearly anti-community and in cahoots with the UN WEF Agenda 2030 .. I had the right money in CASH for gym session (no change required) despite the staff opening the cash drawer on multiple occasions, I was forced to pay with a card! Please help me stop this tyrannical attitude from AN management, INSIST ON PAYING CASH when using the facilities here! If you don't use cash we will loose it. Let us show AN how wrong their absolutely pathetic discriminatory abusive policy is, whish is extremely unfair and ultimately exclusionary to service users AN management really suck maybe they should pay more attention to fixing the hand dryer in the disabled toilet rather than making up these backward exclusionary policies and restricting payment methods which is completely unnecessary ...

Negative experience: Disgusted to hear that the leisure centre in Ashington actively refuse point blank to accept any form of cash for any payments. Insisting that all payments can only be made by card, I find it disgraceful that they are refusing to take cash. Avoid this place !

Fantastic experience: Use mainly for library and gym. Library is great, including staff. Gym is good too, well equipped, and good mix of users. Gym staff not up to much though, apart from chatting to pals.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facility. Always clean. Staff are friendly and always on hand to help.

Negative experience: This is not our regular center. The young lady that served us didn't help explain options for the kids lunch box. Things we get in the box at our centre were not included here. The kids sandwich was half wrapped and the bread was hard. Very unfriendly and stand offish. Glad it's not my regular place.

Positive experience: Poorly designed with area for (often) noisy kids play right next to cafe. Great staff and range of activities, however mostly tired equipment and inadequate (narrow) and insufficient parking...dont be tempted to park at Home Bargains as very strict parking with ANPR.

Positive experience: My usual gym since 2016 and I do recommend it still ! Only problem is that machines are mainly not displaying to save energy i.e. you cannot show reps nor weights nor rest periods as this is switched off to save money Otherwise, quite good gym !

Positive experience: Only been on soft play, but I thought it was good. Lots to do inside it for the kids. Some educational teaching on the structure, with animals and numbers.

Negative experience: Not overly impressed. The facilities are fine but the pool was freezing and it seemed that any kind of playing in the pool was frowned upon!

Negative experience: Small gym very little equipment and i went 17:00 on sunday and it was closed and it says that it closes at 18:00 which didn’t make any sense after taking 2 scoops of pre workout.

Positive experience: On holiday for half term and the kids wanted to swim. Asked at reception, told to book by their app.....not at all user friendly so rang and booked that way. Had to get login etc but when we arrived the receptionist was brilliant....not like the app! Good pool for all

Fantastic experience: Spot on gym, loads of cardio machines and although the weights area is a bit small there is a decent selection and more than adequate space on non peak times. Comfortable temperature and PT's always friendly and helpful. Price is great considering what you get, definitely recommended

Positive experience: My last visit was a little poor as I didn't know how to enter the building as they didn't have any signs suggesting to enter the building from the back and the lady at the counter was incredibly rude. The librarian however was incredibly friendly and helpful probably the only good part about my visit.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoy going to this leisure centre - easily the most accessible leisure centre in the area! They have hand exercise bikes, recumbent exercise bikes, weight machines with swing away seats so you can easily transfer or move the seat away and places your chair in the space and use the machine from your chair, and classes are regularly adapted to include people with a range of disabilities - physicaly and learning! The pool has a hoist that the staff all seemed to be well trained in using and best of all, there are multiple changing places toilets and changing rooms, which is so amazing! For those who need changing places toilets, you will appreciate how happy this makes me!

Positive experience: Very organised. Staff are always there to make sure the users are social distancing for everyone's safety. Every adult must wear a mask inside and sanitizing facilities provided. We have been there for my son's swimming lessons, the pool side,changing cubicles and the gallery are well cleaned after every use . Feeling very safe here.
