Fantastic experience: I have been a member at PureGym Saffron Walden since they opened and still love it. Great vibes and fantastic staff. The classes are really good, particularly the MetCon class with Sean, It’s always varied and has a great atmosphere.

Positive experience: Great PureGym Local, similar to other PGL's in the area. Had the majority of equipment required.

Fantastic experience: Although it's a very small gym with not the greatest equipment, the ambience is very nice. The staff are a bit stand offish but great vibes

Positive experience: I thought pure gyms would be the same moat locations, but this is a particularly bad one. Very small, always something broken, way too busy at peak times. Been to other way better pure gyms.

Positive experience: Great gym and nice environment to train in. Good personal trainers and friendly.

Positive experience: Good parking, good equipment, clean. One downside is inadequate changing/shower facilities

Fantastic experience: I have PT with Sean, he is brilliant I feel he really listened to what I wanted from my training and made a plan to help me in them areas! I feel more confident in the gym and stranger than ever! 100% recommend

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to the gym for a few months now and take some of the classes which are great. Pure Gym. SW is a friendly place. However I didn’t have a lot of confidence to use the equipment in the gym and started seeing a PT, Sean, who has been fantastic. He is so knowledgeable and patient and I would recommend anyone thinking of using a PT to contact Sean.

Fantastic experience: Have been using SW PureGym & training with Sean for over a year now. Can usually use what equipment I need. Sean is a great PT, helping me build my strength and fitness, really enjoy our sessions

Negative experience: Been training here for approximately 3 years but I’m soon going to leave. During covid times things were great, staff would say hello and PT’s would chat to you. The manager would be stood by the front door working saying Hi to everyone. Now they huddle by the vending machine ignoring their customers. Since then the what seems to be bi monthly change in staff don’t acknowledge customers, and the swarm of teenagers that flock to the gym at around 2pm every day go completely unchecked when they’re messing around, training in jeans, not putting weights back or even worse training incorrectly and risking injury - which should be corrected by staff - in my opinion they have a duty of care to people. Showers have been ice cold for months with signs up saying that the problem is soon to be fixed, I think now (Feb 2023) it’s back to a slightly warm. Pictures attached are how things are most days, cleanliness was never an issue here but it appears to have gone completely down hill. I’ve stayed because of 24/7 opening and location but I’ll soon be looking to change gyms.

Negative experience: Been a member since it opened. Never really had an issue till the last 6 months. Recently too many people filming themselves which is painfully irritating. Teenagers in the way doing things wrong, staff not acknowledging members just staring at them. Constant smell of pickled onions. Nah I’m ok thanks.

Negative experience: Gym shower ICE cold even after 20mins. I joined this gym on the 3rd Nov… there was a sign up then saying there was an issue with the shower then - a month and a half later it is still far from fixed. There’s also no water in the hot tap. I would recommend this gym if you don’t plan to shower here or expect hot water when washing your hands!

Positive experience: I go at 5am to beat the crowd and that usually works, though it is starting to get busy in the morning. The biggest issue is that I need to have a quick shower before going to work. The showers have had a sign up for at least a month saying that hot water will take “a minute” and that the plumbers are looking into it. That “minute” is a lot closer to 10 mins. The sign has been up for at least a month, and the overnight temperatures being cold now means that a shower is ice cold in the morning. The showers are fixed at this point and I’m adding a star. It still takes quite a while for warm water to get through.

Fantastic experience: Fave puregym I've visited. It's smaller than some, but well equipped, and quiet. Great classes, friendly staff.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and welcoming environment to get fit in. The classes push you but are enjoyable and really lead to results. The instructors are professional, knowledgeable and friendly and great in the classes. The equipment is also very clean and tidy. I would strongly recommend this gym. The only negative is the cancelled Friday morning classes which prevents the build up of people attending.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful instructor took me through how to perform a proper deadlift today. Didn’t make me feel stupid and gave some useful tips on good form which I will use going forward. Keep up the good work.

Positive experience: Good clean gym, even with equipment being unused due to covid restrictions, it still has quite a bit to offer. Look forward to getting more equipment to use tho.

Fantastic experience: Perfect to work out, not for leisurely gym rats that want to relax and go for a swim. The app is great. You can avoid busy times and keep track of your visits easily.

Fantastic experience: Great staff always willing to help, plenty of cleaning to keep the place clean for everyone, I suffer with major anxiety but I find it really easy to go here and relaxed

Negative experience: Lack of equipment in comparison to other PureGym sites. Staff just seem to sit around one table chatting. Changing rooms made out of cheap wood.

Positive experience: They could easily add another floor or two to this gym. There's a fairly small selection of machines to use, but they've got plenty of room for other exercises. Membership price is about average, but includes all classes

Fantastic experience: Never knew I’d become a gym bunny but I love going with my fiancé. Never feel intimidated by the hardcore gym goers. It’s a great friendly atmosphere excellent equipment and clean throughout.
