Negative experience: Don’t understand why they bother having a phone number, get sent a WhatsApp link that doesn’t work either

Fantastic experience: I'm back to training after 12 years..... I picked Anytime fitness for my gym this time. Nice staff Specious, clean and not really crowded place with good amount of equipment.

Negative experience: I made contact with these back in July 2021 via messenger on social media. The manager made me an appointment with a female member of staff (I can't remember her name) which I turned up for on time. She wanted to take me a tour around the building but I declined. We had a chat for about 30 minutes. I did have a few problems hearing what the female member of staff was saying to me due to the loud music in the background nevertheless I managed to tell her I was out of work & on benefits due to my mh problems. The cheapest membership price she quoted me was £29.00 which I couldn't afford out of my benefits. I found it a disgrace that this company doesn't do a membership discount for people on benefits. Anyone out there that wants to improve there mh but is on benefits don't make contact with this company. I don't agree with staff members taking photos of members than uploading them to Facebook. Neither do I agree with videos of fitness classes being made & uploading to Facebook on a regular basis. The only photos that i was happy seeing on Facebook was the staff members cleaning the gym equipment which I understand as to be done on a monthly basis. Unfortunately I have struggled with my confidence for over 30 years. It came to my attention through the Facebook videos that some of the staff members have got to much confidence for my liking. I no longer follow this gym on Facebook. I don't regret never joining this gym

Positive experience: Just a bit high price for the monthly fee.

Negative experience: Please please beware of the parking at this gym. Highfield parking that run the Broad Centre WILL take court action if 'invoices' are unpaid. I was a VERY loyal member of this gym virtually from their opening. When the gym first opened there was an issue with the carpark and the gym management were aware of this. When classes over ran or circumstances changed, we were unfortunate enough to incur these 'invoices' which the management at the time were happy to deal with on our behalf.  The parking is for 2 hours. Many of the staff and members were caught out by this. Unfortunately for me. The manager, at the time didn't deal with the papers that I gave to her. I chose this place for my mental and physical welbeing, and was subjected to a bullying environment the time which I believe was the reason my invoices weren't dealt with. None of the managers or even the area manager have dealt with them since and I have now left the gym but have telephoned and visited them on numerous occasions for help and have received no communication. Thankfully due to the Initial problems they have with an ipad where you are asked to enter your registration number to prevent further problems however for me this was too late and I have now received CCJS due to no help from Anytime Fitness Sutton in Ashfield, so make sure you enter details every time. Whilst I accept my responsibility I relied on the good faith of the staff here to deal with the paperwork as they had with everyone else. Unfortunately yet again this franchise has failed to see my point of view. Papered over the cracks. Regional manager or any other failed to do what they promised. The fines were new at the time of asking for help. BE CAREFUL MEMEBRS

Fantastic experience: Great gym, my first ever gym membership and I love going. I have recently upgraded to the new coaching plan with Jen and I'm really enjoying it and seeing great results. My confidence has increased significantly.

Negative experience: Left about 2 years ago told them to stop sending me emails and texts and still every week to this day they haven't stopped. I sent countless emails to unsubscribe I should have to call. Just stop sending me messages

Fantastic experience: Great gym if you need 24/7 access. Could be cheaper in my opinion. But otherwise besides swimming and other leisure sports. They have all the gym equipment you could need besides a pulling rope, which they do not have at Sutton Leisure Center either. Staff are very friendly. And showers are well kept.

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym, I lost motivation after my holiday and one of the instructors Jenny blasdale spoke to me and said join a few classes and see if you like and wow , my motivation is back , classes are great , thankyou for helping me back , I’m loving the gym again , I would recommend anytime fitness to anyone , keep up the good work , thanks again

Fantastic experience: The staff is so friendly and even though it is used and busy, there is plenty of equipment and no waiting. Wonderful members, clean and easy to navigate. Bathrooms are clean and friendly members. I want to add that I was passing through Sutton in Ashfield and was allowed to purchase a pass for the week. Staff was kind and welcoming.

Negative experience: Poor toliet facilities and no yoga lessons and quite a noisy background speakers, otherwise OK gym value for money

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend, I went to the gym for a few month but after them few months past I struggled to pay the rest for the last year, I’ve asked for help serval times and no one was here to help, now they’ve doubled my payments and making me pay more money that I don’t have. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member here on and off for a couple of years now and have always found it to be clean, welcoming and available equipment. Days when I want to just be left alone and do my own things I’m left alone, but when I have asked for help with motivation, info about equipment or general advice, all the team have been very friendly and approachable.

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. Make it really hard to cancel and incrediy rude staff that ignore your emails when you want to cancel.

Fantastic experience: Good place to exercise your body

Positive experience: Friendly staff, but you have to wait to use equipment. Only one set of dumbells over 10kg, not enough incline benches, not enough equipment in general. If it's busy, you're better off just leaving, as you'll spend most of your session either waiting for equipment or having to train on something else - whatever is available. It puts me off of going. I've got another gym membership to a larger gym with a lot more equipment...and it's cheaper.

Negative experience: Great gym however when it came to cancelling my membership during COVID they refused to cancel it even though I was well out of contract with them. I cancelled my direct debit and they continued to build up a debt which they have now sent to a debt collector which could affect my credit rating. Would not recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere every kind of machine and freeweights you could wish for. Plenty of mirrors for those who like to look at themselves or to see repetitions are being done correctly. Personal trainers on site if help or guudance is required. Genuinely friendly environment

Negative experience: The people running this gym are extremely unprofessional. They sent a debt collection notice to a family member with no previous correspondence and requests for payment all while I've been a long-time member. Keep in mind this was sent 1 and a half year after the cancellation of the direct debit. When I inquired about this they didn't even bother responding.

Fantastic experience: Been here for a few months now, the facilities are always spotless. The team is always here to help with an energised attitude. There is loads of extra classes for whatever you're interested in. Been to other anytime gyms but this is definitely my favourite. I'm personally trained by Kingsley and can't recommend his passion and knowledge enough when you're wanting to accelerate your progression.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience, super friendly and extremely helpful staff. The ladies who helped really couldn't have done anymore for me. The gym is well spaced out, decent equipment. Possibly a little too warm but that's down to my preference. If you're thinking of joining a gym in the area definitely drop in and take advantage of the trial hour, you won't be disappointed.

Negative experience: Its a nice set up ,but i found the trainers ie staff hard to talk to When i joined i thought yes the perfect gym , one of the staff showed me around tried me out on a couple of machines then left me to it ,,at no time was i offered any help or a training programme So i have left the gym feeling disalogened and unwanted by the staff as i use crutches to walk with and suffer with arthritus in my right hip both knees and right shoulder .

Please note that if you want to cancel your subscription you get loads of phone calls and emails, I didn't get much use out off the gym so cancelled it, wow threatening email's saying I was unable to leave and got to pay the rest even though my contract was up! Social distancing and covid measures in place providing plenty of cleaning products for members to wipe down equipment before and after use.

Fantastic experience: A good range of equipment and plenty of classes offered. The bathroom facilities are also excellent.

Negative experience: Not impressed at all. I tried to arrange to visit the gym for a look around. First day I went there were no staff available and I apparently had to book an appointment online. That seemed a bit unnecessary as I only needed to see if it had the equipment I wanted. The next available appointment was at 1200 on new years day. So I booked on, received reminders to attend over both text and email. I turned up at 1150 and waited until 1220. Nobody would answer the doorbell or the phone. I saw one member of staff walk in and leave again 10 minutes later. He was in uniform but either wouldn't look at me or didnt notice me. I sent an email to the gym which has not been replied to. I did get a phone call on the thursday but unfortunately it was in the middle of the work day. I've been using different gyms for years and never have I had so much messing about just to see it!! So I will definitely not be looking again to see the gym.

Negative experience: This gym has changed considerably since I joined.. wouldn't reccomend anyone to join here anymore my personal opinion is there's better gyms with less pushy staff, I know many people being bombarded by calls and texts from this gym. Save yourself the hassle it's making me unwell and causing my illness to flare up.

Positive experience: It's alright. Not a great variety of equipment for the high priced membership. Also you're tied in with a nasty long contract. They don't add equipment on request as they say. I requested some back in November as they haven't got any 6kg, 7kg, 8kg and 9kg dumbells.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant. I used to come here shortly after it opened and ended up switching to another gym as at the time I felt it was lacking on some cardio equipment. I recently had another look around and signed right back up as since then, they've had plenty more kit installed, top notch gym now, no complaints at all!
