Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Worth every penny—I've never felt more fabulous!"

Fantastic experience: I like this gym. It is nothing fancy - no tv screens blaring at you, music playing but at a level that doesn't disturb earphones, and just about all the gear you could want. Open 24 hours a day and manned during normal working hours by polite and helpful staff. Everyone gets a unique entry code to get in out-of-hours. The two old broken treadmills have now been replaced by five new, modern ones (see added photo) which is a big improvement in treadmill capacity. No hesitation in giving the gym five stars for doing exactly what it should be doing. Recommended.

Negative experience: It saddens me to write this review and not something I would usually do, there is a new lad and new girl currently working at this gym and resulted in me no longer going there and have been a member since the beginning. The new shaved headed lad (Tom) is constantly stood on the front smoking cigarettes whilst Phoebe is constantly inside eating her McDonalds even when in uniform. This is very low standard for the gym especially being called “Failsworth Fitness” and is now making sense to me why so many PTs are no longer there. Tom is also seen walking around the gym swearing under his breath creating a negative environment. On top of this Tom has bully tactics waiting for younger new kids to finish on machines then purposely asking them are they finished to then tell them to re-rack their weights. I believe that is the right thing to do however there are much better ways of going about it. I have enjoyed my time here throughout the years but this is not an environment I would like to around anymore and after speaking to other long serving members they will also be departing in the new year if these kind of staff are still there, what an actual shame after enjoying my time at this gym. It doesn't sit well with me if you go on about promoting physical health and happiness when you're addicted to cigarettes, literally shortening your lifespan

Positive experience: The only negative thing is the hygiene. I’ve been going to this gym for roughly three months and there are non permanent stains on the vinyl floor that are still there after all this time. They could easily be gone by sweeping the floor. Toilets are sometimes in a dire state, with “leftovers” from other users. The hand soap container has been filled up with water recently as well. I would rate this gym 5 stars if it wasn’t because of the poor hygiene. The equipment is great, there’s good variety of weights and machines, it’s not busy, and people are friendly.

Fantastic experience: Only in town for a week, but the folks at the gym obliged with a week pass. Will definitely do the same again on further visits. Good gym had absolutely no problems with equipment. All was working fine. Friendly staff chilled atmosphere (non threatening) would recommend highly.

Negative experience: Good gym but treadmill been broke for weeks now getting a bit ridiculous now when there was only 1 working in the first place and 2 in total. (1 was already broke)

Positive experience: Such a good gym, the staff are great and helpful and there is pretty much everything you'd need. The only things I'd like to see is a stair master and full length mirrors in the bathrooms

Fantastic experience: First time here today and the staff are very friendly. The machines are well maintained and clean.

Negative experience: This gym is very poorly ran. Half of the equipment is faulty and/or missing pins that you have to take from other machines, if you can find them. There’s no general cleaner so the toilets and showers stay dirty until somebody finally decides to clean them. Most of the time the gym will smell bad, not because of sweat but because the bins aren’t changed as often as they should And on top of that they’ve upped their prices. The cheek. *edited* BACK AGAIN FOR A SECOND REVIEW 2 MONTHS LATER COS ITS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE. . How they still have a gym license, I don’t know. There’s no daily inspection of fitness equipment to check for worn and/or damaged parts. And if any part or piece of a machine is broken it is meant to be removed until fixed to prevent incidents of injury. Half the equipment is broken (see images) and I watched the smith machine break whilst somebody was actually using it Servicing of gym equipment should be carried out at least once per year. General maintenance AND cleaning, should be done on a daily basis to maintain hygiene and health & safety standards. which isn’t the case at this gym This is a gym to avoid at ALL COSTS. They’ll charge stupid prices per month, or have you stuck in a 12 month contract and they’ll spend your money on duct tape

Negative experience: AVOID - Poor toilet facilities. Inaccessible shower room after 7pm even though it's a 24-7 Gym. Below par equipments. You are better off with a chain gym i.e Pure gym, The gym

Positive experience: I have been attending the gym for around 2 months, the location & 24 hour access is most convenient. The equipment is in good condition for the most part and the staff all seem very friendly. There are personal trainers available and I have been working with lewie Cooper since joining, he has been super helpful in guiding me over the recent weeks as I am a novice in the gym. He is very knowledgeable and has been able to tailor a plan for me which has shown significant results without over burdening an injured shoulder. His tracking of various stats also helps to reinforce my progression. Overall I'll give the place 4 stars, my only current gripe is that the punchbag has come off the wall and has yet to be put back up.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for around 8 weeks now, all the staff are really friendly and the equipment is of a real good quality with plenty of choice, there are a few personal trainers who all seem really good at their jobs, i have personally booked block sessions with Luke after having 2 positive and comfortable taster sessions with him, he has helped build my confidence alongside my physical strength and is undoubtedly professional and a supportive P.T, i would highly recommend this gym and all it has to offer to any new potential member

Fantastic experience: Great local gym, good quality equipment I’ve Recently started doing pt sessions with Connor stansfield, the pt sessions have been enjoyable, He helps you to improve the technique of each exercise rather than just focusing on how much weight you are lifting. Would recommend him to anyone who is interested in acquiring a PT

David behind the desk was friendly and professional when signing me up. The PT's go above and beyond to help you when you're first starting out, especially Luke, Lewie and Connor. Would highly recommend this gym to everyone in the area

Fantastic experience: I've been an active member of Failsworth Fitness since 2019 and have seen it go from strength to strength ever since with a wide range of equipment and affordable membership options. Coming out of lockdown, I don't think I'm alone in saying we all needed a helping hand getting back to being our best selves and Luke Turk helped me do just that. He's been training with me one on one for 7 months and I've never felt or looked better! Thanks Luke and the whole team at Failsworth Fitness

Negative experience: Been sat outside for over 40 minutes and still no one turned up, 6 cars have left for work and I also have to. This needs looking into, it's not the first time

Negative experience: These people trying to take money of me even though I have never agreed on anything! I was using this gym just before they took it over. I still had a week on my old membership and the guy on reception said I need to feel out the paperwork to use the remaining one week, so I did. Now they’re trying to take money of my card and telling me that I need to pay 2 months worth membership fee!!

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to the area and was looking for a gym to train. If you believe taking selfies, texting, and talking on your phone is part of your gym session look elsewhere.This is an old school gym. Big open space upstairs for functional training and power/Olympic lifts, lots of equipment downstairs, decent and friendly people around. Come lift heavy weights, grunt like a savage, re-rack your weights, leave the gym happy, tired, and hungry for your next session.

Negative experience: Loads of equipment but alot of which is falling apart, taped up, wearing away. They re-upholstered and changed the front door but aside from this, no other upgrades and refurbishments haven taken place in the way they described and it's cold therefore no good to work out in. Rejected their recent rejoining offer. Wouldn't be surprised if this place kept getting sold on. Definitely have the right gym.

Fantastic experience: Just to say that I never used to train before but with a referral from my doctors because of a problem with my knees, Christian is now my personal trainer and all i can say is i feel confident in strengthening them up and getting back to full fitness. Many thanks guys !
