Fantastic experience: Good gym, clean and always have available equipment to use. Best times in the morning 6am to 9am.

Negative experience: Gym cardio equipment is always filthy- cup holders are dirty and screens are disgusting. Toilets and changing rooms are just as bad. Always filled with under age kids,It’s more like a playground than a gym. The last few weeks all you can smell is marijuana as people are clearly smoking it and carrying it with them into the premisses. Machines are out of order for almost 4 weeks now and still haven’t been repaired. Recently this gym was closed for 2 days for a refresh and the day it opened the ceiling was still leaking as buckets were placed around the gym floor and 3 machines were still out of order. Stay away from this gym! I’m surprised it hasn’t been closed down

Fantastic experience: A lot of classes, you will definitely find what you are looking for, also, the gym is really big with a lot of equipment.

Positive experience: I've been coming here for half a year, but in the last 2-3 weeks, when the ventilation is turned on, there's a smell of marijuana, I hope others have also noticed and bathrooms should be cleaned more often.

Negative experience: Please avoid this gym, Adil Naveed who works here was completely rude and unable to actually provide any real help. Useless worker

Negative experience: If I could leave less than one star I would. This has to be the worst gym in Peterborough and the dirtiest. I have only used this gym for a work out. Never used the washrooms but today I had to use the lockers and the moment I walked into the changing rooms it was so so disgusting. No cleaner at night. Floors dirty. Showers are filthy. One shower wall is broken and they have just kept it inside. The walls have damp. The taps have so much lime scale. Mirrors are filthy. So many members and they can’t maintain the cleanliness of this gym. Please avoid this gym.

Negative experience: The gym is good, but it could be even better. For instance, there are no trainers available, and if there are, they charge extra fees. There should be at least two trainers in the gym who can guide everyone free of cost. This way, anyone who needs assistance can get help without hesitation. A gym should focus not just on providing equipment, but also on ensuring members can use it correctly and safely. Having dedicated trainers will also motivate people to stay consistent and reach their fitness goals faster.

Negative experience: Terrible management who don't care about your fitness goals. They don't allow punching the boxing bag without gloves, kicking is banned too. Equipment is rusty and breaking. Had bolts and screws falling off whilst using machines multiple times, they don't notice machines that are completely broken for weeks. It's clear that the gym group needs to prioritize better gym management who can focus on equipment maintenance and safety, as well as loosening unnecessary restrictions to demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting its patrons' fitness journeys.

Negative experience: Worse bicycles ever. All broken, sweaty, no cleaning station!

Fantastic experience: The gym itself is clean, spacious, and well equipped. But if you are looking for a personal trainer, JOANNA KAMINSKA is your lady. She is fantastic and really knows her stuff!

Negative experience: This place makes PureGym seem luxury. Very old equipment, the place smells of sweat and there’s no staff on the gym floor. Only good thing is the low price, thankful that I was only visiting whilst away with work.

Fantastic experience: Convenient location (next to Lidl), mostly clean, lots of equipment, and friendly staff, especially the manager Bali, she always makes people feel welcome! Sometimes the equipment breaks down and it will take a long while to get fixed though, so the scheduling on maintenance could be improved, but overall a very decent and convenient gym

Fantastic experience: Yes I've rejoined The Gym after a long break. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed making myself sweat and ache! Too much was going wrong physically and I realized that not exercising was the main cause of my problems. Being 70+ it's easy to find excuses for not exercising but it's really the only way to improve your quality of life. The Gym is a great place to go. Light, airy, nice temperature, great range of equipment. Friendly and helpful staff.What else do you need? April 2024 Still going. The Gym is still my favorite place to go to and work out. Nice people, nice atmosphere, nice equipment. It's just nice!

Negative experience: Gym is ok, problem is stuff and menager. Some people throwing equipment around next to gym stuff doing PT sessions, with no reaction. Second thing: my girlfriend was accused of sharing pin and her membership was suspended. No one want to help us, only thing we heard was, "someone used your pin once, we cannot tell you who, cannot show you cctv. if you still want to use gym, you need to pay extra £10" So we cancelled membership and changed gym.

Positive experience: This is a good enough gym with good selection of equipment. I have noticed very few people sanitise the equipment after use, probably because the gym does not actively promote this. Their lockers need updating asap. Most of them are not fit for purpose.

Fantastic experience: Having been a member now for about 6 years I can’t say anything negative about this gym . This gym is very clean . It’s set on two levels with both levels well stocked up with the latest equipment. The general atmosphere in the gym is friendly and most people are helpful. I’ve recently used a personal trainer called Marlena to help improve my technique and form . And she’s absolutely brilliant and very professional. All in all a great time and experience in using this gym .

Fantastic experience: So I like to lift weights and put them down and this is the ideal place. I joined The Gym Peterborough after my mental health deteriorated severely. I love this place. The equipment is top notch and never a problem finding a machine or piece of equipment to use. Finally built up the courage to do a few classes and they are amazing especially the bootcamp ones. The facilities are modern and spotless. Shout out to the cleaning lady who's always has the biggest smile on her face. Parking is never a problem plus it's free.
