Positive experience: The centre itself is fine, it's just a pain the the backside finding an on road parking space as there appears to be twice as many disabled bays.

Positive experience: I love it here. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the swimming pool is clean. You can see the staff regularly clean. One issue. I see a lot of men in the Sauna and steam room which puts me off going there. I have seen them shave there once and someone cutting their nails. I wish I told the staff about them, but honestly it is not a reflection on the gym itself and the staff. I just wish they had a separate sauna and steam for male/female. Or more saunas!

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old has been going here for swimming lessons for about 28 months. 24 of those months up to now have been with Anne-Marie. She is by a country mile the best swimming teacher going. My lad was terrified of water before she got hold of him. He has come so far in such a short space of time and its all down to Anne-Marie. Couldn't recommend any 1 better than her to teach ya little ones how 2 swim. Highly recommended her if your looking on getting ya little ones in to swimming!

Fantastic experience: Gym, swimming, sauna, steam room, £26 a month can't exactly argue plus free tips off everyone. Everyone I've talked to have been really nice and helpful. If you're in the area, thinking on joining a gym with no hassle this ones for you.

Positive experience: Parking is an issue compared to Volair Huyton. The size of the badminton courts are smaller than the ones in Huyton.And the depth of the swimming pool is not really suitable for adult swimming... But people from Old Swan can easily reach there.. The staffs are amiable...

Fantastic experience: Joined the gym for 1st time in my life...I'm 62 and put a bit of weigh on and diagnosed type 2 diabetic and needed to get fitter....so I chose the one on my estate...I already feel a lot better just after going for the last 5 days....the gym is brilliant and staff and other users of the gym have helped me a lot to use different things In the gym...sorry I never joined a lot sooner...its amazing and I feel 100% more fitter after a week...I would definitely recommend Volair to friends and family

Negative experience: Went to swim but didn't in the end as the lockers only accept old style pound coins or trolly tokens. How can they not have updated the lockers since 2017... Had to take disappointed child home.

Fantastic experience: Great leisure centre with a decent array of equipment that is kept in good working order. Staff are helpful if needed and there is always someone at the reception desk. My only gripe is that the changing rooms are way, way too hot.

Positive experience: Recently joined the gym here and there is a great selection of equipment as well as a varied class timetable. All staff seem to be really helpful and willing to go out of their way to help. Sadly the only negative I've come across is the groups of youths congregating outside- not a problem with the centre but can be intimidating

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility with amazing staff, they are very polite, helpful, respectful and lovely staff and people in the gym. The facility is very good for cardio workout and they also have a sports area for in door badminton sessions as well as an area where they do classes that you can enrol on to for aerobic or various activities et., A great in door swimming pool with changing room facilities. The gym workout area is all machine based so no free weights, The machines are good enough to get you started however if you are looking for free weights and into heavy lifting then it isn't suitable for that as they are more suitable for elderly people as well as people getting into working out at early stages or if you want to lose weight it's perfect. No bench incline machine or dumbbells even. Just being honest and upfront. The facility is very clean and I think its perfect to get yourself back into a routine and build on your strength until you are ready to advance onto heavy lifting. Overall still a 5⭐ facility and an absolute bargain for your money's worth.

Positive experience: Come here with the kids every weekend for swimming. Staff are extremely friendly a d helpful. The gym exquipment are new and the badminton area opposite the swimming pool is night and bright allowing natural light to enter. The only downfall about here is that personally i think that there are not enough showers in the changing room and the side pool draining grooves had mould and dirt in it.

Negative experience: Gym is fine staff are good but avoid the direct debit company you have to give a month's notice my son had to stop using the gym due to injury I was paying so cancelled the DIRECT debit thinking that was it they started demanding payments even though he had non been in the gym since mid march then demanding a copy his medical records as proof of injury READ THE SMALL PRINT

Negative experience: In the description it says the gym is fully stocked, don't be fooled, because it's not! it's really tiny, with only very small free weights area, where the heaviest dumbell is 10kg (!) and the barbell is not more than 50 kg when you fill it with all the plates! No squat rack, no smiths machine, full of treadmills and bikes-yeah, cool, if you want to spend few hours only on cardio. Not enough if you're really into fitness and bodybuilding. Also the membership is overpriced a lot, most of massive chain gyms got prices around 15£ per month, to use Volair anytime you have to pay 29£.Ridiculous.

Negative experience: Gym is excellent I had been a member for a long period of time I had got a discount for a long period of time about £15 a month because I was x forces military then it went up to £30 per month because they said they don't give discount any more or support the armed forces with discount so sad really when I will support the country and die for it.

Fantastic experience: I regularly visit this center at least 3x a week for 1.5 hrs , Gym and Pool. The facilities are excellent , a very clean and bright center, plenty of equipment , matts, weights and work out machines, all easily accessible. Staff are helpful and bright, and all are ready to give advice or help you out. Good Personal Trainers are available, if you need that extra push. If you don't believe the post come along and see for yourself.

Positive experience: A lovely neighbourhood sports centre. I go swimming here so can only comment on the pool/sauna/changing area. The pool is of a good size, a nice temperature and is kept clean at all times. Adult-Only swimming 7-8pm weekdays, however the times we have been (usually after 6pm) there are usually mostly, if not only, adults anyway. The changing area is kept clean at all times, with cubicles being flushed out regularly by staff, who are friendly and polite. Lockers are available to use. There is a decent sized steam room and sauna, however the sauna closes at 7.30pm, so if you want to take proper advantage of the adult-only swimming, you cannot use the sauna afterwards. In my opinion, 8.30pm would be a better time for this to close.
