Fantastic experience: Excellent value for money . Plenty of good quality machines and free weights Staff were very helpful. Despite it being busy there’s enough benches, free weights etc so wasn’t waiting on anything membership is a must

Fantastic experience: Only been once so far (not my home gym) and must say I loved it. Top feature is it was cold, which for me is amazing. Rather than melting, for once, I was comfortable doing my workout. Great variety of equipment. Struggled to get on the leg curl machine but they also had the seated version, which I much prefer. My main gyms don't have this which is ridiculous considering how busy it is. Downside, carpark too small. I went at peak time and the carpark was packed.

Positive experience: Great improvements as more kit available. My only gripes are that there's less available space for individual mat work, especially when a class is running and they have upgraded the dumbbells and kettlebells but there are no small size kettlebells anymore, which I used on a regular basis.

Positive experience: Been to this gym when travelling. Really good facility, spacious huge selection of dumbbells, plenty benches, lots of cable machines and various other pieces of kit. Really well equipped gym, I had a great workout didn’t have to wait for any piece of kit. Only complaint are the lockers - some of them seem to be broken and also there’s only 1 water dispenser so in busy time there’s high chance of queuing.

Positive experience: Really good gym good environment only problem I have are the lockers in the women’s changing room it’s hard to get my stuff out the lockers sometimes

Positive experience: Great gym with friendly staff. I had a slight issue with the noise from the classes which seems to have been fixed and I had an issue with the cleanliness, all of which were fixed quickly. Fair play. Great variety of weights and machines. Great choice especially when travelling.

Negative experience: Es ridículo como pueden tener un ambiente extremamente ruidoso y molesto Máquinas obsoletas. La situación fue que nada más entras tuve que irme. Había clase de zumba o lo que sea el tipo de baile que hacían .. Música ambiente + música de la tal clase Es para no volver Al menos mientras estén dando clases.

Fantastic experience: Great friendly gym that's has something for everyone with a good atmosphere...Instructors are mostly very professionable & good at motivating gym members during classes always approachable .Only down side is that cleanliness is niot always maintained a small minority of gym members don't clean equipment after they have used it which is not a good reflection on the gym Long standing regulars have noticed a drop in standards in recent months with new members not adhering to good hygiene practice.

Negative experience: I had previously visited gyms of this network and always been satisfied with their quality. However, after moving to Dunfermline, I had to choose another branch. I want to note that cleanliness and a wide selection of equipment are provided here. Yesterday's incident was disappointing: when attempting to perform a "glute bridge" exercise on the Smith machine, I encountered an unexpected obstacle – the safety catches did not lower low enough. This was a surprise for me, as I had never experienced such difficulties with machines before. I had to rethink my workout plan as I prefer to perform this exercise specifically on the Smith machine. Additionally, attempting leg raises on the cable crossover also proved unsuccessful due to the lack of ankle cuffs. For a long time, I tried to find a staff member to ask a question, but no one was on site. The gym also turned out to be quite cramped and crowded, especially with teenagers who occupy machines in groups and for prolonged periods of time.

Positive experience: Huge variety of fitness equipment and classes available. My Personal Trainer (TS) is excellent taking a real interest in me and my progress. Waiting for the dirty untidy car park to be cleaned and re-surfaced hopefully soon.

Negative experience: Went in couldn’t get near any equipment I wanted. There’s like maybe 8 benches and 3 squat racks which isn’t enough for amount of people. Went on rowing machine and it was pretty much broken. Went on leg press and it was complete garbage. All equipment is cheap and barely usable. I get it’s January but I shouldn’t have to wait half an hour for bench only to give up and go home. Tried to cancel membership but there is no operating call centre with actual people. It’s not worth £20 to walk on a treadmil. Especially as I have a treadmil at home that I bought for £50. Absolutely terrible gym.

Positive experience: Concept2 Rowers are in a really bad state and need serviced. All other equipment is in decent condition. Does get very busy, even at off peak times.

Positive experience: Today was my first trip to Dunfermline puregym since moving to the area and I was previously a member of Stirling and then Alloa puregym. I had high expectations as Dunfermline is a bigger gym than Alloa but I was disappointed. There are only four squat racks including the Smith machine whereas Alloa has seven squat racks including the Smith machine despite Alloa being half the size. There is also only one large cable machine whereas Alloa has two large cable machines and two small ones. This meant that I was unable to complete my workout today as the only place to do deadlifts was constantly occupied and so was the cable machine. As it wasn't even a busy time or day to go the gym, I can imagine that I will be unlikely to complete any workout at this gym. I can also echo the sentiment of a previous review by pointing out how messy the weights area is and that there are piles of barbell weights randomly about rather than neatly put away. The only cherry on top of the cake is that my walk to the gym is shorter and my monthly membership is £4 less a month. It would be great if puregym could invest in their Dunfermline as there is so much potential, but the lack of essential gym equipment means that members aren't getting what they pay for.

Positive experience: Overall a great experience, just wish it had an extra squat rack and deadlift area set up

Negative experience: Showers are always cold and usually not cleaned apart from that it's a good gym

Negative experience: Ive been a regular here since covid ended, staff are friendly but afew things wrong with place Im afraid. Changing rooms/toilets not cleaned often enough & alot of the lockers dont shut properly. Majority of customers dont clean machines after use, especially males who dont wash hands after toilet use, dont see machines cleaned often, if customers regularly dont. Many vaping in changing rooms & there is drug use on the premises, staff are unaware or not vigilant enough. With occassional people sneaking others in, cause there arent staff regularly around. #could be better

Fantastic experience: Editing from 2-star, gym’s been renovated at some point recently and feels a lot more like an actual gym than the typical Puregyms. 4 new power racks so bench press or squat space isn’t so limited anymore is a massive addition. Only issue is that plates are still disorganised and people leave their trash on floor but that’s mostly a clientele issue I suppose. Lot of respect for the manager, very well-priced with very good equipment, it’ll be a shame to go back to my other puregyms.

Positive experience: Gym is decent and kit is fine but the gym is often very busy. Even with groups of 2 or 3 using a lot of the kit at the same tkme as each other, you're waiting for quite a while sometimes.

Negative experience: Cool concept, friendly staff. Overall dirty. Ventilation is bad. Poor hygiene in the changing rooms. Showers and toilets are dirty. There are people training in jeans. I personally do not feel safe to workout due to very poor hygiene. Proper and detailed cleaning a couple of times a day will make the gym the best in Dunfermline. Everything must be cleaned and disinfected from treadmills to dumbbells.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, good equipment and relaxed atmosphere, but always feels humid and clammy. Could do with better air con and more than two doors, as there's always a queue to get in and out. Really loud when there's a class on as all open-plan.

Positive experience: On holiday from NZ so I needed a gym nearby and PureGym fit the bill. This is a modern gym well spaced out with all the kit expected. I liked the separated areas for weight based and conditioning being opposite ends of the building. Along with the studios and cardio at either end too. This layout suited me because i could adapt my workout and I tended to come in early 6-6.30am. However when you enter the building, (through the space age tube thing), you walk into the stationary machines. To me this looked cluttered and obstructed my vision when looking for the changing rooms. Btw changing rooms and loos were spotless. Sanitising stations everywhere. Equipment well maintained. Cheers.

Positive experience: Good parking, mostly clean and people also wipe down after use. Single shower for after midnight has a mini game where you need to squeegee to keep the water back.

Negative experience: Now becoming over run with groups of kids. Everyone has the right to work out and be fit. But groups of 5/6 kids standing on machines, sitting on them waiting for friends. Struggling to get workouts done now.

Fantastic experience: The only pure gym I have used but overall experience was great easy to get access through the app. The entry tubes are a tad claustrophobic but once you've done it a few times. Normally getting in at 630 and busy but not crowded so plenty of choices for machines or benches. The classes seem well attended and good atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: It is open 24/7. The app is well made and you can always see how many people are in the gym and when to decide to go, for example I prefer to work out when there are the fewest people. It was recently loaded with your new and different attachments for many of the machines... This is my gym, I highly recommend it , to me for sure to fill my soul I would say that if there was a punching bag somewhere in the corner it would be irreplaceable.

Positive experience: Sign up, do a virtual tour, go in and do your thing, no hassle. Sanitary environment and friendly faces to help out. I should be stronger than Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1 month (sic).

Fantastic experience: I only stayed in Dunfermline for 5 weeks because of my work, so I was looking for a gym that I could join only for short-term, meaning no contract. And Pure Gym was definitely the best option, as they offer a 30-day pass which is exactly what I needed. If I ever return to Dunfemline I will definitly go back to Pure Gym. I also love the fact that is open 24/7, big plus!

Negative experience: This gym has nothing on the branch in Livingston, the machinery is outdated / old and it's always rammed so you're lucky to complete a full routine. It's also absolutely stinking everytime you go in but after 10 mins you get used to the stench and just go with it for the gains. Wouldn't recommend this branch.

Positive experience: To clarify, the rating has nothing to do with staff or customer service, not at all! Purely down to range of equipment and quantity vs what I was used to with my regular gym. Not bad by any means, just not quite as good as my usual gym experience. Cheers!

Fantastic experience: Nicely equipped gym, good spacious layout, love the 24/7 opening hours, can get an early morning workout in. Been going for 3 months now and cannot say there is much to complain about. The weight plates are all over the place usually every morning, but as I am there super early, it is not a big deal. Other than that, great wee gym to work out at!

Negative experience: Far too busy, couldn't use the machines i wanted to use. Not enough space to accommodate everyone. No one was really cleaning the machines after using them which is disgusting. Got a bit overwhelming with the lack of social distancing and sanitation.

Fantastic experience: Overall I'd say this is a nice clean gym, they have a great selection of equipment, with them being open 24 hours is extremely handy as well as there being the showers for everyone to use as well. They have been regularly cleaning the gym and keep everything in excellent condition.
