Fantastic experience: Great sports facilities

Negative experience: Gyms been done up and re opened, preferred it before, less cables and pulldowns and the peck deck has been changed to a fly. Not really any improvement in amount of equipment just newer versions of the same things. Staff still brilliant. But where is the hack squat, real leg press and peck deck or everything else that we could have had? Gutted.

Fantastic experience: Lovely environment to workout. The staff are friendly. I enjoyed booking classes on the App. Different classes to meet your needs. The gym has be renovated with new workouts equipments.

Negative experience: Ruined the gym with your so called improvements.same stuff just a different colour.loads of equipment missing. You did not listen to a single word the members asked for.not renewed my membership. You seriously need to re-think the gym and get the equipment that the members asked for.who ever put this gym together has not got a clue about fitness and bodybuilding. I am struggling to see who it's aimed at.

Positive experience: Good facilities and well priced, football pitches are maintained to a good standard, however in the evenings during winter there are far from enough car parking spaces.

Negative experience: Nice facilities but when visiting my son who was playing an away friendly football match at this venue, I was met with a really rude middle aged lady on reception who was flabbergasted that I’d never been before (and therefore didn’t have an account) and made me even later in catching up with my already late attendance watching my son play football. She begrudgingly let me through a disabled barrier at the side. I don’t know why she was like this, I said or did nothing wrong and working in such a lovely venue, you think staff would be a fair bit more interested than she was. Lovely, clean and well maintained grounds and plenty of parking but grumpy staff!

Fantastic experience: This is where Daws Community Gym meets. Spacious - easy to get around in wheelchair, and you can access a lot of equipment. You need to contact Daws to go as a community gym user.

Negative experience: Having been playing here for probably over 9 months I always doing it to be a decent place for 7-aside football, the pitches are good quality, well lit etc, however around 3 months the management team requested we pay £97 up front for the 1 hour time slot we get in case of cancellation so they don’t lose the cost of the pitch, so one week would basically cost us £194, we begrudgingly agreed to it. Tonight however the management team took the running of this place to a whole Having had snow showers through the day I called this afternoon to confirm the booking and leave my number incase anything changes. Our 9pm slot was due to go ahead as normal so we all set off from various locations (dronfield, chesterfield, thurcroft, alfreton) to name a few. As I pulled in the car park at 20:23 my phone rang to tell me our evening slot was cancelled, I explained i would come into reception to explain people were already on the way. The lady serving me agreed we could play ‘at our own risk’, I called our group chat to confirm everyone was happy which they were and to carry on their journeys. Having all arrived at 20:45 we all made our way into reception to be told we wouldn’t be playing as it was still snowing (yet the four pitches were still in use being played on), I let them know my feelings and leave. I get a message from a friend who had stayed behind in the group saying the teams who were due to finish at 9pm for our slot were still playing at 21:10. I’ll be honest my assessment of this place is that - yes the facilities are great, the pitches are brilliant. But ultimately the management team are clueless and very rude. I wouldn’t expect our regular booking to continue after this.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and helpful staff, nice grounds, plenty of parking. Only downside was I had great fun finding it with the SatNav. Took me everywhere but. Better to follow Google directions.

Negative experience: Comprehensive range of gym equipment, but in dire need of updating and replacement. Would benefit by improved supervision and better management of the facility.

Negative experience: Helpful staff, however, very disappointed by lack of disabled access to pitches. A wheelchair for use would have been appreciated but without paths to grass pitches it would not have been of any use. Clearly these facilities are not standard at other junior football pitches but a purpose-built FA-hub facility? Should do better. Disabled parents do want to watch their children play.

Fantastic experience: Great for football. Currently operating safe guidelines for Covid and doing well. Parking can be difficult at different times but most of the time I've been able to get parked. I go at least weekly for football.

Positive experience: Been training for about 3 months in work gear no problem however the manager removed me and my pal from the gym because we where "dirty" which was not the case. He was also increadably rude and disrispectfull towoards us for no apparent reason. Other than this incodent all the other members off staff are extreamly welcoming and the equipment is great.

Fantastic experience: Have not joined the gym but can speak for the football facilities which are great, there is also a small cafe to get drinks and snacks.

Positive experience: The gym itself is great with loads of equipment and plenty of natural light - the only negative is the amount of people sitting on machines looking at their phones for minutes at a time. Crack on people, use, move on and give us all a go. Many of the machines count down 30 seconds between sets so waiting minutes at a time while someone is reading is a tad annoying.

Negative experience: Total joke. Booked my childs birthday party here. Paid the deposit only to get a call a week later telling me that they don't do children's parties in the football season. The administrator then blamed it on the poor girl on reception as she was new! We were then told that we had to go back to their premises to get the deposit back. Over a week later when I got round to calling in for my deposit credit they still had banners all over the place advertising kids parties. Train your staff better and don't advertise something you can't offer.
