Ingrebourne Links Golf & Country Club

Fantastic experience: We booked Ingrebourne Links Golf & Country Club on 9th December 2024 for a Wake. We were not disappointed. The venue was fantastic and the room was arranged perfectly. A beautiful place to go for any event. The staff were great, very efficient and helpful and the buffy was very nice and plenty of it. I can't say enough about the event manager Sian, such a lovely lady. She was amazing and nothing was a problem she made a very sad day turn into a nice evening by going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

Ended up playing with a member (Bob) who was such a great host, showed me around and made the round all the more enjoyable. 10/10, will be back.

Positive experience: I've only used the driving range, historically it's been quite good but the tracer technology has not worked properly for some time. Without the technology working the range is overpriced. The staff are friendly

Fantastic experience: Played there a few times now, who'd have thought that you'd find a top class links style course between Dagenham & aveley, but stone the crows there is, fantastic course with a brilliant clubhouse to boot, if it weren't for the view of the city of londons' skyline, you could be on any coastal links, superb place for golf & the staff extremely helpful in everyway.⛳️‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️‍➡️‍♀️

Fantastic experience: An absolutely fantastic golf club! Played in a large society today and the manager and his team were amazing! The course is so unique and very well kept. True links experience but inland. Greens and bunkers are designed so well and this course is fair but challenging! The clubhouse is fabulous and the food and service does not disappoint! Will definitely go back and take friends there!

Negative experience: We booked a table of 7 for Mother's day lunch. To say the service and food was terrible is an understatement. Three of my party ordered the chicken liver pate with sourdough bread. It arrived with a slice of wholemeal bread! When asked about the sourdough bread the waitress went to get some..10 minutes later it arrived after everyone else had finished there starter. It was a carvery roast that was next. Beef you couldn't cut, turkey that was so dry it was hard to swallow, pigs in blankets that looked like they hadn't even seen an oven, lovely cold veg and gravy like water. When we ordered a round of drinks, including teas and coffees, they say at the bar for for what seemed like 10 minutes until I got up and walked over to bring the to my table. By this time the hot drinks were cold. Not at any point did the waitress ask if everything was ok with out meal. At the end we did bring this up with the waitress and a manager came over. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. She just told us that everybody was saying how much they enjoyed their meal ( laugh ) I obviously have higher standards. I was so angry and didn't want to ruin a mother's day for my mum and mother in law that we just payed and walked out. Please don't waste you money at this place, you'll be better off going to Toby carvery.

Negative experience: Came for works Xmas do, 3 course sit down dinner and disco. The food took forever and was bit hit and miss depending on what you ordered. The disco was rubbish considering it was Xmas only 1 Xmas song was played and that was only for about 30 seconds! Not many dancing. Bar expensive and a plain gin that tasted of fruit guessing the measure not rinsed after drink before poured.

Negative experience: Disappointing...The Christmas Party meal on 15th December was awful...dry turkey, small amount or no gravy, dry potatoes, impossible to cut or eat them, pigs in blanket with no taste, the vegetables acceptable, the cheese was the only one edible and tasty. The bar was crowded all the time, and to have 3 people working on approximately 160 guests is in my opinion, unacceptable and sad...for everybody, guests or staff. So ... I will choose the rate 1 star for cheese and 1 star for the dj, the music was good and saved the atmosphere of our evening. First time and unfortunately the last time there!

Fantastic experience: Some of the meals our fantastic chef Charlie has put out this Christmas is second to none! It's our busiest one yet and still she pulls it out of the bag!! The feedback we are recieving is amazing. Well done Charlie!

Negative experience: The food was just plain awful. They need some training! Turkey dry as old bones. Roast potatoes so dry I could not cut them. Stuffing no taste, dessert of cheesecake awful no taste. The only edible bit was the veg. Would never return

A lovely welcome by Sam on reception and the course Marshall Pete could not do enough for us. Highly recommended. Apparently this is rated a easy course! I am not sure about that, the condition was superb and cannot wait to play again .

Fantastic experience: I had my wedding here on the 5th August 2023. What can I say, we had the best day ever and we are still getting comments today that it was the best wedding ever! My whole wedding planning experience on the whole was totally stress free, and it was all down to this amazing venue and staff. Michelle in particular, was so helpful on the lead up to the big day, and on the day - nothing was a problem. Michelle is an asset to the venue. The food was excellent & very tasty, the bar was well stocked, and the whole day was extremely well organised. Thank you all so much at Ingrebourne Links for an amazing, unforgettable day, which we will continue to talk about for the rest of our lives! x

Fantastic experience: We decided to play Ingrebourne Links after watching some golf social media influencers who are members there and the footage of the course always looked fantastic, we were not disappointed. It’s a very modern golf club, very nice club house which towers above the course. There was a starter on the first who enthusiastically gave us the history of the profession of the course to date and also future plans. The condition of the fairways was amazing, you could easily be forgiven for comparing them to some of the best links in the country. I think Ingrebourne will soon be elevated to better rankings as more people discover this cracking inland links and rightly so.

Positive experience: For a visitor this course is too expensive. It’s a lovely course in places , mainly near the clubhouse, but lacks character in other parts . Very long when the wind gets up . Lovely clubhouse but expensive too .

Vicky made the planning of our party so easy ensuring every detail was catered for. Christine and the team looked after us from the minute we arrived. The food was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I would 100% recommend this venue.

Positive experience: Good facilities and a nice course. The front 9 is more mature and challenging than the back nine. The course is currently set up in a more forgiving manner but could easily become less so if the rough were allowed to grow.

Negative experience: I recently was married and held the wedding reception at Ingrebourne Golf and Country Club. After COVID cancelling the two pre-arranged weddings and venue problems we were lucky to book the above. The venue can only be described as first class set in beautiful surroundings. Although I arranged most of my wedding decor entertainment and all the extras I had the venues wedding planner to assist and advise. This is where I feel I was let down on several points. Whenever calling to speak to the wedding planner I would be told they are off / ill or in a meeting to which I would advise I had just received a call I would then be put through bit strange The food options were advised and guests pre-ordered as such they was good enough to swap a meal for me and allow young adults to have a children’s meal bearing in mind I was still paying £50 per head for chicken nuggets and chips but on the final meeting I was told that previous weddings it was easy as all guests had burger and chips instead of the suggested option, which not once was we informed of this option which would of helped massively. unfortunately too late to change. I prepared all decorations and special touches including the cake topper I had especially had made also this was quite a personal touch which was not placed on the cake, the wedding planner denying she knew anything about one even though I had witnesses showing and giving it to her the day before the wedding along with all the other items. My guests being shouted at for entering the social bar to get a drink due to it being 26c outside waiting before the wedding. Disgusting they was shouted at by the wedding planner telling them it’s members only….. that fair about maybe just telling them nicely but from my guests point of view they were adults they didn’t deserve to be spoken to like that they was kept waiting outside the venue in the sun like animals until they was allowed in My daughter who was bridesmaid was told by the planner in secrecy that she would arrange for a golf buggy to be done up in the bridesmaids colour to be used as transport for photographs. This the planner then denied even though my daughter told my mother of the plan, so she was basically calling my daughter a liar. We had arrange and asked for permission for a confetti canon to be met off on our first dance by the entertainment company all was good to go until on the day this didn’t happen when asked we got told the venue don’t allow it yet again all was denied that this was never agreed. I was told and booked accordingly that the reception could finish at 1am but on the evening they had the DJ finish at midnight and all guests had to leave the premises by 00:30, many had booked taxis for 01:00 so had to wait around outside. There was no alternative than to leave the building as the two security officers were walking around the hall clapping like they were herding farm animals. Also the security staff were bagging up and helping themselves to food from the buffet table, totally unprofessional. I would say that the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. making contact with the wedding planner afterwards proved difficult to get questions answered most was avoided or denied and when speaking to Dominic on the telephone the main manger his attitude sarcastic and quite rude not what you expect of a person in his position. I have emailed Dominic and he hasn’t even had the courtesy to reply to my last email. As much as these may seem like non trival things for most they was points that effected our wedding and I think we the right management and planners this could be the perfect place to hold your wedding until then I would advise anyone to Avoid

Fantastic experience: Well, would you really expect to find a LINKS course in Essex, near Rainham - yes, the Thames is close, but a links? Yes, a links course most emphatically, and a damned enjoyable one as well. And cannot be that bad as we saw lady members out playing. OK, it does look a little uninspiring on arrival, but they are still spending money on it, increasing the bricked carparking area, adding a third 9. But the clubhouse is no more than 6 years old and in excellent condition (it is a gym as well). We arrived and before teeing off (wimping out of the squall that was blowing through) we had tea and coffee in the bar upstairs. Tea, coffee and a bacon roll just £8. Reception is very welcoming and were happy to reset our tee time by 20 minutes. That is the thing with this club, they are a private entity and members are gym and golf members. Just look at booking a round and you will be forgiven for thinking there must be something wrong when you see the number of available tee times. So, off we trot to the starter, and he was very helpful and chatty. He warned us that you need to stay 'online' or your ball count is liable to rise. That would be because of the rough and gorse that litters the sides of most fairways. The whole course is being cared for (maybe a small problem with some sprinklers, but that is nit-picking). Neither the tee boxes or fairways were 'fluffy' and the greens run true. One bunker found in our game was a little solid, but that seems to be the problem on most courses at present (am told that there is a shortage of bunker sand!?!?). A few of the greens look uncared for, but they are not, I think it is just the grass patterns. As well as running true, they are quite quick. Also, they are not all flat as billiard tables with plenty of undulations. And the slope you think is there, is probably from the other direction. There will be no hesitation in returning to this gem of a golf course, and if Ahern Waste Management keep looking after it the way they are, many more people will find this gem.

Fantastic experience: Great place to practice and play, they do everything from tuition to short and long days play. Come here for your golfing needs. Pretty fair on prices also.

Negative experience: Really nice golf course but your car/van is not safe there. I had my van attempted break in, parked right outside the clubhouse. 2k worth of damage and the golf club do not care or interested in fixing this problem. There is no security there and any1 can drive in. Should have a code to get into the gate that changed everyday. Me and 7 others was thinking of joining but wont be now your car/van is not safe while ur playing. Shame really thar the management have no interest in sorting this out. After reporting it to clubhouse got told the manager would call to discuss but havent heard from him.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best golf courses I have played Considering its not been opened long . Once the 27 holes are complete the golf course will match the stunning clubhouse. Lovely chipping and putting areas. There is also a driving range and par3 9 hole course. All in all the whole complex will surprise. We'll worth a visit

Fantastic experience: Decent range that offers a wide range facilities that enables you to works on the majority of the game. Very similar to most ranges that when it’s windy, you have to control your shot shape depending on the wind. The good news is when it’s wet and windy, you still don’t get wet! All staff welcoming and shop has some decent brands and all essentials. Mats are ok, top tracer add some gamification and range gets popular at peak times. Shows it’s good value for money. Great for lessons and fairly priced.

Fantastic experience: I only use the driving range but it has toptracer on some bays. Balls are cheap enough 19/7/24 All bays now have top tracer

Positive experience: Very tough inland links course. Greens run fast and true. Wasn't as wet as expected. Very friendly club. Nice bar restaurant all very modern. Pete who sees you off on the first tee is so accomodating, lovely touch. Seems quieter in the afternoon. There is a driving range there but we didn't use it. Tough course and will return. Played again yesterday. Course in good shape. The last few greens need more work to get up to previous conditions. Found the price to play and buggy rental cost have increased significantly. Buggy was £38 (yes thirty eight pound) to hire, it didn't have sat nav or score card. So roughly £100 to play and have a buggy.

Positive experience: Very good golf facilities but I think they need more kid friendly facilities

Negative experience: Attended for an evening event in October. The building looks impressive, unfortunately the service is terrible and the quality of food unacceptable for the price. I really wanted to like this venue, but unfortunately I would most likely turn down any future events held here. High prices charged, management skimping on staff and quality.

Fantastic experience: Played 18 holes in Sept - the course was great. We challenged ourselves and played the 600+ yard par 5. The course is in great condition, fairways and greens. Everything, including a pint and dinner afterwards was terrific. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful venue with friendly staff. The gym facilities are modern & well kept. Fantastic views over the golf course both in the dining area & in the upstairs gym studio. The green seems well kept & has many golfers enjoying it throughout the year. The Sunday roast is very nice & they provide vegetarian options.
