Fantastic experience: Well organised, a bit dated, but still OK. Staff very helpful.

Fantastic experience: I have been looking for a good gym for quite a while ! I was British Powerlifter in 82.5k class but had a bad accident that’s stopped me from competing in the Worlds and finished it for me. I was looking for a Gym and 6 years ago found Greenbank. Unfortunately 5 years ago I suffered a stroke that put me back again. I do have brain damage and prefer a stress free training environment. The Greenbank Gym is perfect for me. Some great staff and very relaxed training environment perfect for me to do some strength training without all the stress and ego of some popular Gyms.

Fantastic experience: This place is very inclusive

Negative experience: Appalling state of cleanliness in the toilets, seat cracked vile smell.

Negative experience: For what should have been an amazing day for our girls turned into a disgrace and this was all down to Greenbank Sports Academy what a shocking company you are!!! We paid £813 to hire their hall today for our comp for them to demand more money out of us They said the hall was more than that and wanted and extra £100 and odd off us so they wanted over £900 for a hall hire!!! They wanted £150 for bin bags and toilet rolls!!! Plus and extra £100 for them to remove bin bags!!! None of this was in our invoice or in the t&cs because as you can imagine if we knew all this we would not have booked it in the first place as this is a lot of money for a small troupe to pay out They also then told us we could not do raffles or stalls to raise funds (but they let us do it today as we was set up) How can you host a comp and not raise any funds at all to help towards your cost is beyond me The so called manager was a disgrace the way he has spoken and treated us today in front of all our young ones and laughing in one of our mums faces your should not have this title as you are one of the most unprofessional people i have ever met in my life!!! He also told us people with a blue badge could not park in a disabled bay as he doesn’t not recognise blue badges and they had to park on the main road!!! We also asked him for a brush to help with clean up as we like to make sure we clean up after ourselves to be told no I can’t give you one!! Then for water being on the toilet floors that MY MUM AND ONE OF MY SUPPORTERS cleaned up and made sure was spotless tried to say they wanted £150 for that aswell even though it had all been cleaned and sorted For anyone thinking of hiring this venue I would stay as clear as they possibly can they are an absolute disgrace and us a troupe will be taking this further £813 for a hall to be treated the way we have is disgusting!! GREENBANK SPORTS ACADEMY YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!!!!

Positive experience: I found the Wheelbarrow very pleasant, myself and several friends where meeting here for an end of term afternoon tea with our Yoga club (Becs Scouse Yoga) we all enjoyed our tea & cakes, but there was a little confusion when we arrived as to where we where all sitting? But other than that, most enjoyable experience

Positive experience: So busy and too many events at one time for such a small venue. It's was good but parking is very limited. Toilet facilities is not great either considering few events at same time

Positive experience: Lovely afternoon coffee with friends served by a warm and friendly team. The staff were attentive and the environment is so earthy. Lots of great timber furniture which gives off an uplifting vibe. Good job! I'd give it 5 stars if seating had been more comfortable - but staff did get me cushions to help me get more comfortable

Positive experience: An excellent place for sport. We hired a table tennis table and it was good value. The food in the Wheelbarrow Cafe is excellent. My daughter plays netball there weekly.

Positive experience: Decent facilities but needs updating. Disabled friendly . Limited parking space on site and the road is also very congested with vehicles parked on the street . Parking is available near the park few yards away but this also get filled up very quickly. A coffee shop named the wheelbarrow is located on site but very expensive

Negative experience: I just called to ask about badminton club for my 14 year old son. The woman on the phone said, "He can come at 2pm". I reminded her my son is 14 and at 2pm is at school. When she said he can come another time I asked her who he would be playing with. She said, "He can play by himself". Is this a joke? I am intrigued...... What are you actually doing for young teens?

Negative experience: Staff were really rude on call. I ranging asking for advised and she was not willing to help or answer questions. When asking her name she then put phone down on me. I rang back several times to have no answer. Absolutely shocked about the poor customer service provided by reception staff

Positive experience: It's a tidy place. Nice wood floors in the sports hall .6 badminton courts or 2 5 aside courts.staff friendly and this place was very much made for people with disabilities in mind .In that regard it ticks all the boxers .

Menu is small but that may get developed however I would sooner go for small and excellent over a larger menu and just ok. Good portions Little picky points Always ask your customers do they want condiments not other way about Had to ask for our portion of chips Overall excellent

Positive experience: Did a table sale there wasn't what I expected. Facilities were very good and managed well. Sale is only beneficial if your selling your stuff for 50p to a £1 .It's more like a jumble sale.

Fantastic experience: I recently booked the cafe for 50 to 70 people to have bite to eat and a couple of drinks after a funeral, The food was lovely and plenty of it, reasonably priced drinks, and warm and friendly staff. I would definitely book Greenbank again for any other parties or functions, Thanks to all the management and staff for all their hard work and making everything go smoothly .

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for years. Nice beer garden to sit with the kids as they have outdoor table tennis and 'woody' area. Lovely suntrap on summer days. Drinks inexpensive, approx £4 a pint. Spirits a little more than usual but it's not like a local pub. We've been to a wedding here before and it was decorated lovely. Good place for kids parties too :)

Negative experience: bad experience in the cafe today. got in the queue at 12.20pm and finally got our food at 1.20pm which was over cooked. my friend who was in the queue behind me is STILL waiting for her food 1hr and 20mins later. unbelievable especially as we have young children with us. if this was anywhere else this would be unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: The gym here is great for people with a variety of physically disabled as well as able bodied people and there are also a wide variety of people who use it. There are great facilities here.
