Fantastic experience: Very friendly gym. If you are anxious when going to the gym I would recommend coming here are everyone here is kind and welcoming. Dom and Rob are the top people there keeping engaged with everyone and encouraging you to work harder. I have moved from the midlands and been to many gyms but never came across a gym like this!!!
Fantastic experience: Super friendly local gym. Well equipped, close to transport links. Most customers are well mannered and don't look intimidatingly muscular.
Fantastic experience: I have been a member of other gyms before but xcelerate so far has been the best. The staff are friendly and always ready to help. One of the main reasons I see myself staying with Xcelerate is my personal trainer Roberto. It's rear to find someone so knowledgeable and skilled to push your limits and help you recover from years of muscle pains. What a legend!!

Fantastic experience: Called the gym at a short notice because I was around Edgware and they were able to accommodate me with their day pass to go use the gym on same day. Jake and Dominic were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this small clean, cosy gym with free parking.

Negative experience: This gym is scamming money for the free trial ! It’s not even a month and after I cancelled they still took the money ! Do not join or take phone calls from them ! How disgusting im caring for my dying aunt and they have taken my care money out of my bank for something I’ve not even used

Fantastic experience: Xcelerate gym in Edgware is a smaller but friendly gym! The classes with Dave & Rob have kept me going each week. I would also highly recommend PT sessions with both of them - they have a wealth of knowledge and are lovely!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of Xcelerate gym for a few months now and I absolutely love the gym for multiple reasons. I love the fact that I can workout while my children are also having a gym class, of which they love and always look forward to attending. The staff members are super friendly and have always made me feel comfortable when at the gym. Gym classes with Roberto are super fun and efficient, as he always gets us doing great workouts, feeling good and is always there for support and guidance throughout the gym. Definitely recommend all that Xcelerate gym has to offer !

Fantastic experience: Great gym to workout, clean facilities at all times including the changing rooms. You get a nice community of people going there and the staff are very friendly. The small details like the dark lighting aesthetics and the scented diffuser at the front of the gym also makes a big difference to your experience!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here since the gym opened. The staff are incredible friendly. The atmosphere is very calm and welcoming and I’ve been training with Roberto for a while and he’s been a great boost in my weight loss journey.

Negative experience: Beware of the scammers. I was told about a free trial by dom and when I came to sign up, I was told they were no longer offering free trials but a discount for the 1st month. I was told I would get a workout plan which was the main reason of joining. I did NOT get one. The toilet is filthy, the gym is small, packed small and closes too early. I cancelled my direct deposit for the upcoming month. They claim i didn’t pay for the first month now I realise it’s a scam they run. Edit: They’ve been harassing me with calls and emails. Threatening to take legal action for defamation. I’ve never seen a business ran like this.

Negative experience: Extremely small gym and often very packed. Not worth it at all with other gyms in the area being cheaper and offering three times the space and equipment. You also have to pay a month in advance to quit, when other gyms allow you to quit at any time.

Negative experience: They advertise free guest pass, but when I called up they were very awkward about it. I ended up paying £ 20 for a day pass, which I didn’t mind, but I found it pricey for a tiny gym like that with unattended toilet and shower standards. Management was not welcoming at all. However, the staff was kind and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Been training g here for over a year - lost 4.5 stone in weight got very fit , was pre diabetic and high blood pressure which now is both clear thanks to this gym and doms diet . Well recommended Plus I pay a year in advance as I don't want direct debits. Got a fantastic deal.
Fantastic experience: Dom and is team are fantastic. I rejoined after having some time off. I was welcomed and shown around by Roberto who assessed me. I feel confident having the staff members watch over me and provide me with the help and push that I need. Facility is great - good machines and free weights.

Negative experience: Very pushy staff. I was told I could get a cheap rate for 24.50, upon signing up the rate became 26.50 with a 15 join fee. Cancelled my direct debit with them as I no longer wanted to be a member and they called me saying I was meant to give a 30 day notice, and that I received emails saying this but I wasn't told this. Was also told by a staff member previously if I brought another member I could be put on a cheaper rate, that other members had already. Overall they're a profit oriented business that doesn't care about their members, I recommend going to cheaper gyms elsewhere!
Negative experience: Awful, pushy sales/PT staff. Don, the staff member constantly pushing us to join their “special offer”. I have made it very clear that I would like to visit before paying for a membership. He was not having it. I was a potential customer but have been completely put off by Don’s service. Not to mention being called up after hours and being constantly forced into joining. Pathetic. He then ends the call by saying that I am wasting his time. Unbelievably rude. You need to honestly train your staff better. Felt like being scam called by a commission hungry sales person.

Negative experience: Everything is good, except opening hours, Friday till 9pm, weekends until 6pm, i actually don’t what are these openings hours. This is the first time i am experiencing these times in UK. Actually as a gym, it s supposed to be opened until late hours.

Negative experience: I joined Xcelerate gym Edgware, purely because it was within walking distance of my home. Although a very small gym for the price they offer, i agreed and paid a fee of £60 per month for both me and my daughter, delighted with the fact that it’s so close to home. The staff were very friendly and welcoming which helped with my daughter’s anxiety at that time. I recommended my neighbours and they joined aswell, only to find out weeks later that my neighbours pay £40 together! I approached the manager to ask why im paying a higher rate than them? They said i joined on a non-discount month and I should opt for the ‘family discount’. I then spoke to the managers Dominic and Byron who says i could NOT join the family discount because in my house there is myslef, my mum and my daughter so i dont qualify because its only for Husband wife and kids!!!! Discrimination at its worst!! I have since then joined Pure Gym alittle drive away and never been happier! This company is disgraceful in the way they treat single parents. Just awful!

Positive experience: I took a day pass to check out this swanky gym in Edgware Colindale and while the equipment was impressive frankly there wasn’t enough and wait was involved. No problem with that I went to the changing rooms after the workout and found that the shower room doors were translucent and didn’t have much privacy. Hell, no way I am paying so much for that even if they got protein shakes at the counter, so it’s definitely not one for me !

Fantastic experience: I have been going to xcelerate gym edgware for while and honestly it’s amazing gym. I really enjoy going to the morning classes and using their equipments and it’s absolutely amazing. The management (Dominic and Dave are soo polite, kind and extremely helpful. I am soo happy to be member of this gym and my whole family and friends has joined xcelerate gym Edgware. This gym is perfect for the whole family. Generally it’s very hard to find gym with amazing management, helpful staffs and for the family to be able to use. The gym has many amazing equipment that other gym hasn’t got. Negative experience: Have had terrible experience overall with the customer service here. Often ignored and having to resend emails and call multiple times. When I was abroad, I had to send family members on my behalf because none of my emails were getting answered. Gym is okay, decent equipment and clean but often packed. Negative experience: Xcelerate Gym Edgeware - Unethical and unlawful practices. Beware of this gym!! I cancelled my gym membership with them, which they acknowledged by providing me a final date of payment. They continued to charge me for 11 months after I terminated the contract. I asked for a refund and showed proof of cancellation and acknowledgement of the termination date by them. They are refusing to give the money back, even though this is illegal to take fees for a service that has been terminated. I escalated this with the gyms manager (Byron Vince), he mentioned clause 11 and 12 gives them the right to take money and keep it for a service that has been terminated. Clause 11 and 12 is to do with Autorenewal and no UK company can take money for services you no longer are a member of. Byron, then tried offering me a discount to a his gym, instead of a refund, I am not a member of the gym and I no longer live close to the gym. He also manages multiple Xcelerate gyms, so when you call he often is not there, he no longer responds to emails and does not return phone calls. I am also not the first member to suffer from this incompetence, I have heard that other ex members who have suffered like this after they cancelled their gym membership. I have never come across a gym that operates in such a SCAM way after you terminate the contract.

Negative experience: The worst gym in the world always having issues with the finance and also there is always a hidden fee as when you want to leave they gonna tell you that you can't leave without a notice period of 1 month!! And if you want to freeze your membership they gonna charge you 7 pounds each month and if you told them that you want to freeze your membership after the 21st of the month they gonna tell you that we should charge you and you can freeze from the next month!! Also, each one in the gym has different fees and I noticed that most of them are 24.5 the monthly fees they charged me was more than 119 pounds for only one month as the admin fee is 15 and they told me I will pay monthly 29.5 and by the end of the first month I asked to freeze my membership they said that you can't freeze your membership after the 21st of the month and they recharged me 29.5 and 7 pounds freezing fees also they charged me another 7 pounds because I freeze for another month(no one mentioned to me that each month I have to pay 7 pounds freezing fees) and because of that I was angry and I decided to leave the gym because they keep charging me they told me that the exit fees will be 31.5 I paid them and finally I left the worst gym as I paid in total (119.5) for only one month!!

Negative experience: Have been trying to get a refund for the past 7 months and just today was denied due to terms and conditions (of which I wasn't presented with or properly informed about). No clarity or concern for the customers. Nick was the only one who genuinely cared about the customers' situation and was very transparent with me. Fantastic experience: I visited xcellebrate today and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Small and intimate, well looked after and quiet. On your doorstep parking. Clean bathroom, fully stocked with sanitary towels, felt like a spa. Blow-dryer and hair straightener, you can really take you time to get ready to go after a great workout. Will definitely be back.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I have had a really bad experience trying to cancel my membership. There hasn’t been any response to my cancellation email and I have had to call a few times to chase my email. Still no one has emailed me back to confirm or acknowledge anything. I’ve been left in the dark for several weeks now. I had a great experience at the gym itself but the cancellation process has been terrible.

Negative experience: I’ve been chasing an additional fee which I shouldn’t have been charged since December. Second time in a couple of weeks I’ve gone to the gym before work to discover there’s no hot water (with no notice being given to members). Membership was meant to include multiple perks such as 8 free shakes a month, suddenly there’s a £4.50 charge for (fairly small) shakes. The staff are generally very lovely and friendly but it just seems management do not care or take concerns and complaints seriously at all.

It is our priority to ensure all of our members feedback good and bad is taken on board and pushes us each day to do our very best to ensure we are delivering the first class service and product. The hot water was rectified within 24hours of the issue being reported and this was also followed up with a 48hour test. Please could you inform us on what date the hot water was not available for both of your visits please All of our shakes are 250ml which is the standard size across the UK. With the increase of cost of living which includes food we had to make a decision on either increasing the monthly membership fee or incorporating a 25% discount to all of our members for their shakes, so we decided the later. Negative experience: The men's toilets are in an utter state. One of the two available is out of order. The entire toilet area has been half flooded with water on the floor for multiple days in a row now. The toilet paper is always on the floor instead of placed somewhere high so anytime this happens it also gets wet and ruined. The staff need to sort this out for the price. Unacceptable.

Negative experience: Deceptive business practices, stay clear if you value your money. When I was signed up by a member of staff there was no mention of the additional £15 charge that I’d receive as well as no mention of any 30 day cancellation policy. I’ve both emailed and called the gym to cancel but I’m still receiving demanding emails. Despite claiming to be a no contract gym they will try to squeeze as much money out of you as possible

This is also available through your App and our website. Negative experience: Don't join this gym, it is a scammer gym. It is easy to join but difficult to leave. Leaving this scammer gym will cost you 100 pounds that they will take it from your account via third party. I wish I could choose a zero star but there is no option for that shame on them. Eventually I will go to the court if the don't refund what the have stolen from my account via third party. Rubbers. You did not allow to reply you so I will just edit this review. Your whole team knows about the problem and the can't help me. When I was joining the told me a different price but the never changed the price on the system. I just stopped with notification and I have all proofs on top of that the you took few more months via third party without joining for a signal second

Fantastic experience: Very well equiped with a large variety of equipment. If you want regular weightlifting training, CrossFit, Cardio, Boxing (you have a bag), all kinds of activities, you can do them at Xcelerate gym. The shower is great, I love the showers there. The staff is very friendly, very helpful and always with a smile on their face, good job. I recommend!

Negative experience: The have promised me a promation price the agreed but after getting admission the ignore that price and told that was mistake of there team member and this promotion is not valid for you. After that I told stop with one month notice but the have stolen my money through third party for one extra month shame on them. Now the will reply to my comment and leave a fake message with no reply option.
Fantastic experience: I have been here almost 2 years I can’t leave it or changed it because this gym is great all the stuff are amazing and they made amazing shakes.. I recommend to all . Thanks

Negative experience: STAY WELL CLEAR! I had to give a star to write this review otherwise I it would have been a 0. Dealing this company has became a nightmare and borderline harassment. I signed up after being mis-sold the X nation membership when I popped in to have a look and I was told the offer was finishing that day so I would be missing out if I didn't sign up that day! The next day I looked at their website and guess what the so called "offer" was still advertised, still is as one of their ongoing packages. I emailed them to cancel that membership (all within the cooling period) and asked about the lesser package. I heard nothing back so after a few days I called spoke to Charley - who told me that it will be cancelled and emailed to confirm. One would think that would be the end of it! Nope, I then got various emails about my so called membership, got a call to sign up again which I kindly refused. Then received an email about monies owed - emailed to clarify (no reply) so I phoned them and I was told it was a mistake and not worry it was now resolved. Today I received an email from Harlands customer services as they attempted to take money out of my account. Attached a DD mandate stating I owed £66.09 to update my DD or I will owe more. Oh the joy! Considering the minimum cooling period is 14 days under the Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and I cancelled under 6 days, never used their gym and now I'm being harassed by them. I wonder how they treat customer's data so I requested a SAR on my data. I've yet to receive an email confirmation for my request, well they do have 28 days to comply so I will wait and see. I've never dealt with such incompetence - sign up at your peril and good luck.

Fantastic experience: Been here less than a month and I’m really enjoying it! I have been given a plan and nutritional advice and a log in to track everything- this gym although it’s mixed gender is not intimidating at all and everyone is so lovely and helpful which I haven’t received from larger branches of gyms I’ve been with before. They even have sanitary products, shower gels and heated hair tools in the bathroom so it’s perfect for if you needed to go before work or a general day out!

Fantastic experience: The gym is very good for my mental health! And I have been coming everyday on my days off and been using the expertise bike and rowing machine and the weights machine. And also lots of protein shakes which are delicious. I also absolutely love the staff at the gym they are all very friendly and the owner also. I highly recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: Kids had an amazing time in class today with Antoine and Charley!! Parents even got dragged in for the last time minutes and it was so much fun!! I definitely recommend this place! I get to train in the gym while my boys have a blast in a class and then finish up with a smoothie There has been a high turn over with staff in the past but this new team are amazing! Mutasium (forgive me if I spelt that wrong) is an amazing Fitness Coach he is encouraging, approachable and has really challenged me with my plan which has had amazing results! No one just sits with their backs to you or chatting amongst themselves, they are in the floor interacting and keeping an eye on you The vibe is good, the buzz is back in the air and it's a great place to be!! Very approachable hands on team, just what the gym needed!!! Charley and the team have so many plans to make the place reach it's full potential. Great Effort, Great Team!!! Glad I came back in

Fantastic experience: Recently joined the gym. nice and clean little gym, very welcoming and helpful staff. Especially Alexandra. The gym is also not overcrowded unlike other gyms.

Positive experience: I have been going to this gym for 7 months now and I absolutely love the culture. As a female the gym can be quite an intimidating place but this is not the case with this gym, the staff and the members are so kind and considerate. It’s a small local gym which is nice because you can tell they care about the community. I would recommend this gym if you are looking for somewhere friendly and safe to train. I only didn’t give it a 5 star because they don’t have a wide range of equipment as it’s a small space!
