Positive experience: Absolutely freezing in Telford gym, visiting Telford Pure gym only in the weekend and it's very cold again, it's not possible do heavy lifting in very low temperature.
Hi Ales, thank you for taking the time to leave us this review. We have recently made slight changes to this area, looking at improving energy efficiency. This is both to control our energy usage, but also with a look to reduce our carbon footprint. By law, we have a requirement to provide a certain amount of fresh air based on occupancy levels, and our ventilation system increases and decreases at different times throughout the day and night, making sure we meet these requirements and provide good air movement around the gyms. These levels are based on size of the gym, and occupancy levels, and are regularly monitored. All member feedback is reviewed, and brought to the attention of our Facilities team, who regularly review any changes we make to our gym facilities and all feedback is taken into account when making any future changes. Positive experience: Happy with this being my local, cheap and cheerful, just what you expect from a budget gym. Don’t expect to get tips from pros, and if you go on peak you will be waiting for kit, but go 5am and you will have run of the mill in a fully kitted out gym.

Negative experience: I pay for a plus membership so I can shower wherever when I’m travelling my home gym is Telford and by far has the worst showers of any PureGym I’ve been to so far and trust me there disgust now don’t get me wrong I know Telford rife with people who can’t clean up after themselves but I would avoid these if I could absolutely disgusting
Negative experience: Changing rooms are disgusting, and the showers stink. Things break, and it takes them weeks to fix (water points, equipment, showers). The PT's blast the most mind numbingly terrible music when they are training people. It is so loud I can't even hear my own music through my headphones. They charge me £27 a month now and I seriously wonder what I'm paying for. I'm going to start looking around for somewhere else to go.
Fantastic experience: £14. A month. Access is only midnight to 16.00 but all the equipment works and appears well maintained. Everything is clean and tidy. Well worth the money
Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting toilets and they’ve been like this for years now. The sink taps are overpowered So it sprays water all over the floor, The hand dryer doesn’t work on the toilet always dirty. I actually have to dread coming to this pure gym when I’m in Telford.
Negative experience: A honest review would be, functional but rundown and not very inviting. It’s cheap but the newer council gyms locally are a much nicer place too be at a higher cost not sure on this sports water either
Fantastic experience: Very good equipment selection. Offers 2 hours free parking, you just need to scan your ticket before leaving. Felt a bit busy but it was probably a busy time but even so, didn't have to wait for long to use certain equipment.
Fantastic experience: Big car park nearby, they have those fantastic massage chairs that you only get at limited Pure gyms. You get 10 mins per day. Please bring those massage chairs to Nottingham or Milton Keynes :)
Negative experience: Worst experience. Can’t able to access the gym using my PIN. And no assistance or no support from PureGym. Everybody able to access it but I have problem in accessing gym. I literally feel very bad in this situation.

Positive experience: It does what it says on the tin. More attention to detail in terms of cleanliness and availability of blue paper and antiseptic spray would be good, but for the price it is fit for purpose.
Fantastic experience: Perfect gym. Clean and normal. Shopping mall and Wetherspoons nearby. Everything you need. Good location and the local people are really nice in this part of England. You will enjoy training here
Fantastic experience: Getting back to the best version of me.
Negative experience: Numerous machines in the spin room are malfunctioning, and despite multiple assurances that they will be replaced once approved by Pure Gym headquarters, this has not happened. I empathize with the management and staff at Pure Gym who must repeatedly communicate this issue.Pure Gym, I urge you not to compromise on standards any further. I've heard that some individuals are contemplating switching to another gym due to these concerns.

Positive experience: OK gym: Some machines and lockers are broken and take ages to fix. Should have more cleaners (not very clean). Changing rooms smells a bit - hand soap always run out and hand dryer awaits to be fixed for months. but overall it's ok
Positive experience: Excellent workout atmosphere, not too crowded (granted I do get there a 5 30 am) , only issue I had was my larger than desired belly getting in the way :)

Negative experience: I was a guest member and although the gym seemed okay the state of the women's changing rooms were disgusting, the smell of rotten eggs hit you as you walked in, sinks dirty, complained about the changing rooms on FB but no response. Joined 24/7 for £10 a month, pristine clean and equipment far superior and huge choice compared to puregym, parking is a nightmare in the town centre then having to pay and messing around cancelling your parking ticket to get out. Both of us ditched puregym for 24/7, canceling our membership was a nightmare too, having to call them to do it.
Positive experience: Good gym, but the music is so loud when the classes are running. Can hear it through my headphones on full volume.
Positive experience: Most of the treadmills aren't working, even during unstaffed hours it can be challenging getting onto a treadmill.

Positive experience: Visited Puregym Telford while home for Christmas. The staff seemed friendly and approachable. It was very quiet when I went so it was a chilled experience. Despite this I did find I would have to wait a while to get on certain equipment (everyone seemed to have Leg day on the same day). It was very clean and staff were tidying up after those who left weights racked (a bug bear with all PureGym's I have been to). The only other downside is that upstairs seemed significantly warmer and stuffier. I appreciate it is probably beyond their control but if the upstairs had air conditioner or a way to manage the humidity this gym would be a 5*

We always aim to provide a broad spread of kit to cater to a range of fitness needs and meet demand as it changes through the day, getting the balance right between weights and cardio, but if you have any other/specific suggestions please approach the Gym Manager or leave a note in the feedback box, which is regularly reviewed. It is in the gym rules that members should return their own weights or risk suspension, but at peak times especially it can be hard to police this. However, staff on site do everything they can while we also have CCTV monitoring the free weights and are looking for new ways to combat this. Temperatures/air con in our gyms are automatically regulated by Smart machines, but if there is a persistent issue staff may be able to override it and can certainly report it to be checked by engineers. Positive experience: Staff are great, I enjoy the fact that all members of shape/sizes can join it helps promote people at least trying to get fit. I would however suggest to have "quiet sessions or dedicating the the fitness studio part to a quiet zone, literally the fitness classes are stupidly loud. I completely understand that they have have to motivate people, so I can't argue with that, it's also my choice to attend at that time. It's just insanely loud sometimes. Same with the music which is too loud the majority of the time. The music is usually chart music or something high pitched, so loud that I can't hear my own music. Again, a dedicated quiet zone would be fantastic. I'm seriously considering leaving for abother gym now, as this is my third time I've left early due to the excessive noise. Please please fix this. I'm aware you can't police people's actions within in the gym in that manner, but the dedicated quiet zone aka the studio would be really good to have.

Staff are absolutely amazing and their service is second to none, always happy faces all around and welcoming 24/7 - they're always happy to help with questions and queries and even give you a few tips for form etc if they notice you're unsure! Our of all the gyms I've been to on Telford this is the one I'm sticking with, 24/7 access, comforting atmosphere and and amazing team behind it all - highly recommended

Positive experience: I don't think every PureGym is the same as I've also go to the Walsall one. A plus point, the building is next to a car park and you get two hours free parking when you stamp you parking ticket inside where the Walsall one only a hour and a half. The next thing tbey also have, again not at Walsall, is the two HydroMassage chairs which are great to release stiff tight muscles after a good leg workout. Lastly they have the YANGA SPORTS WATER machine, though also at Walsall, which is free depending on your membership level and have a variety of flavours at varying strengths. It's all good, a great place to workout with loose weights, cardio, aerobic classes etc. I could go on but check out the website for more. The only point I can make a minus is the place is, of late, getting busier especially at peak times. The way it's going they'll need to find a bigger space like Walsall one did.

Fantastic experience: Good gym, free parking. What I really like about the gym is etiquette of people, I went to 2-3 gyms before and people just throw weights everywhere but not here.

Fantastic experience: Excellent facilities and equipment, always has a feel-good atmosphere. Staff and customers likewise are friendly, pleasant and non-judgemental. Until August 2021 I'd never set foot in a gym, so it was nerve-wracking to begin, but it has fast become my happy place!

Fantastic experience: Always friendly and clean Full range of equipment Never usually a problem getting on equipment early morning or mid morning: my normal gym times. Hydro massage beds really do the job: not just a gimmick Gary the PT is extremely knowledgeable with 20 years in the business. He makes even the hard days enjoyable!

Negative experience: Lots of broken or missing bumper plates. Members leave kit everywhere Broken or poorly maintained kit is a common sight. Urine all over the mns changing rooms almost anytime I'm here. I find myself often tidying the gym up at night as it really annoys me how messy it gets

Positive experience: Good quality equipment, but even after peak hours, very busy. Lots of weights left around on the floor. I'm sure it's a lot more tolerable outside of peak hours.

Fantastic experience: Very good equipment for a workout, 2 floors. Unfortunately no sauna or pool. But has a few showers in the changing room. Good cardio section, I am happy with the place, you get water and massage chairs with premium membership.

We have temporarily restricted the hours of gym opening to ensure that we keep staff and members safe. This means that we can also increase the level of cleaning and can run a full deep clean while the gym is shut. You can find hours on the branch website and members will be contacted via email when we extend hours or go back to 24/7 openings. Thanks, PureGym
Positive experience: *EDIT* Wasn't blown away, I don't particularly like leaving a bad review however PureGym Telford fell short of the mark. Came in at 0600 and wasnt impressed initially, but after the first week it has settled a bit and isnt as bad as originally percieved. Equipment variety seems fairly scarce even at 0600, so id dread to think what availability is like during peak times, and attachments for the cable machines seem all but extinct. The ticket validation machine does work, I just wasnt using it properly so a star has been added back, also I forgot to mention that the gym is wonderfully cleaned and the manager always seems to be busy cleaning equipment/surfaces when I see him, so kudos* I would recommend PureGym if the price were to remain around the £17 mark p/m and you either like an early session where you dont need to wait for most equipment or you can get in at a fairly empty period.
