Information about The Warwickshire
Our comment from FitFit UK about The Warwickshire:
The Warwickshire is a stunning sports center located in Warwick, United Kingdom, offering a range of excellent facilities for both relaxation and recreation. Guests have consistently praised the hotel for its cleanliness, comfortable and well-appointed rooms, and friendly staff who contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
Among the highlights of The Warwickshire are:
- Exceptional Golf Courses: The King’s and Earl’s courses are highly regarded, providing a challenging and well-maintained golfing experience ideal for players of all levels.
- Relaxing Spa and Pool Area: Visitors have enjoyed the luxurious spa facilities, including a beautiful pool, sauna, and jacuzzi, perfect for unwinding after a day on the course.
- Delicious Dining Options: While most have appreciated the quality of the food, some noted that breakfast service can occasionally be disorganized, which the management is actively addressing.
- Comfortable Accommodations: Guests reported spacious, modern rooms with stunning views and enjoyable amenities.
However, some users mentioned minor issues such as a lack of communication regarding services at check-in and occasional slow service during busy periods, particularly in the bar and restaurant areas. Despite these drawbacks, the overall feedback underscores that most visitors had a memorable stay and would highly recommend The Warwickshire for its beautiful setting and array of facilities.

The Warwickshire: Opinions
Fantastic experience: I stayed 2nts for work. Beautiful hotel, very clean with lovely quiet room (56). Pool / spa area are fabulous! Lovely sauna, big jacuzzi & hot/cold shower. I had dinner in the restaurant on the first night, lovely service & delicious food (curry). I also worked from the bar / cafe area whilst waiting to leave for the airport and had my lunch here. Chicken burger was sensational and service was good. Only minor point is that on check in, I received no information about the hotel e.g restaurant times, pool times / usage or how to access or where to get towels etc. I would absolutely stay here again.
Hi Aileen, Thank you for leaving us feedback. We value hearing from you and look forward to you staying with us again. The information regarding times are in the keycard holder you would have received in check in. Towels for the health club usage are available at reception. Should you want to know anything please ask at reception and they will gladly direct you. For future bookings please get hold of our reservations team directly on 0330 373 5888 or [email protected]. Regards, The Warwickshire
Fantastic experience: Just went to the breakfast with Santa event with my 3 and 7yr old, really great event. Staff were attentive, Santa very authentic, food offering good and entertainer was loads of fun (think 90’s birthday party )Would recommend and feel received value for money
Many thanks for your 5 star review Laura. We're really pleased to hear that you all enjoyed yourselves! Have a great Christmas. The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: Played golf on the King's course superb
"Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed your round on the King's Course. It's a truly special experience, and we're so glad it met your expectations. We hope to welcome you back for another memorable game soon!"
Fantastic experience: What a fantastic place with great views and a hearty breakfast
Hi Peter, thank you for leaving us feedback, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Kind Regards, The Management Team
Positive experience: Stayed overnight for a conference the next day. I had dinner and breakfast which was served with a smile and the food was good. I would recommend the restaurant rather than eating in the bar, it's much nicer and the service was great. Overall the experience was good. My only complaint was the overly hard bed. I didn't sleep well.
Hi Steve, Thank you for leaving us feedback, we appreciate hearing from you. The feedback will be passed along. Kind Regards, The Management Team
Positive experience: Stopped here on impulse as I needed to be in area, lovely location, impressive greeting and helpful staff, rooms were excellent fir the charges, walk in showers, which I'm surprised are not in more hotels, comfortable beds. Had a few drinks in bar, staff very good, quiet place. Breakfast was good, food was typical of buffet breakfast and staff again excellent. Recommend this to anyone stopping in Warwick and not much more than your basic usual offerings as they had spa facilities I didn't use. One mark down only, you can't get out of carpark easily as the barrier has to be buzzed, don't let that spoil visiting though
Dear John, Thank you for leaving us feedback. The review will be distributed internally. Regards, The Management Team
Fantastic experience: Room was comfortable and clean, staff were very friendly, breakfast was adequate didn't bother having dinner there. There was a good firework display with a fair and street vendors while we were there that was well organized.
Many thanks for your 5 star review Martin. We're really pleased that you enjoyed the fireworks and your stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: Looking forward too seeing you soon guys
Hi Henry, Looking forward to seeing you soon, Kind Regards,
Negative experience: 2 night stay for a short family break. On arrival we were told that there was no water at the hotel but it should be back on soon (3pm). No toilets available, checked in as there seemed to be no other options. Informed that spa facilities and pool was still open. We checked in and decided to drop our bags off in the room and head towards the pool. Room was a nice size, disappointed that for the price of the room there was not a small drinks fridge. 2 bottles of water in the room were warm. The bathroom had a strong drain smell, which we managed to later trace to the shower. Tea cups and kettle for making drinks, however one of the spoons had been used and had a tea stain dried mark on. We headed to the pool after getting changed we found the toilets locked and had to head back out to reception to locate a toilet for my son before going in the pool. Childrens pool was closed off, the main pool was available, which we used. After exiting the pool we checked back at reception for an update on the water. I completely understand that this was out of their control, however the lack of organisation and plans in place was not reassuring. Lack of updates and offer of bottled water, with no updates on use of toilets. Later in the evening we eat at the bar with a reduced menu at the, again due to lack of water and used plastic cups. The water was restored later in the evening but felt the lack of updates and no offers of compensation. In the morning we attended breakfast at 8.50, a full hour before closing. To turn up to a breakfast room in complete shambles! Empty tables with no cutlery, empty pastry tables, empty hot food section, no glasses for juice and a broken coffee machine. Unable to restock as they had ran out o doe items.Extremely disappointed. We stayed for two nights and the breakfast on the second day was slightly better, still missing a few items but seemed a little quicker to restock. A very disappointed stay.
Dear Joanne, Thank you for leaving us feedback. We do apologize for the lack of water which lead to your stay been unpleasant. We have been trying together with Severn Trent (council water supplier) to resolve the water issue. We completely understand your frustration as a guest. Unfortunately we are unable to compensate our guest due to this been a Severn Trent problem. Again we do apologies, however should you wish to receive any sort of compensation we need to direct you to Severn Trent directly as this is due to their lack of supply. We share in the frustration. Regards, The Management Team
Positive experience: Overnight stay playing both Earls and Kings Courses. Both are great layouts. Although were aware hollow tinning of greens had occurred, it must have been the worst I've ever experienced - aren't the cores supposed to be filled with sand? Be good yo experience in the summer.
Good afternoon SG Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay and your experience on the Earls and Kings Courses. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the layouts! The hollow tinning process is essential for maintaining healthy greens, due to the unprecedented rain fall prior to your visit causing some of the sand to sink into the holes and on some holes even washing the sand away completely leaving some of our greens very bumpy, our team have now managed to brush more sand in as the conditions became more favorable to do so. I wish to thank you again for your feedback and we look forward to welcoming you back in the summer to come enjoy our superb greens. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Fantastic experience: This is a great course. There's the Earls and the Kings, plus a driving range. The Kings is well kept. The staff in the club house are generally friendly, and the food is reasonable and tasty. There was a good atmosphere in the club house. Large car park.
Good afternoon M H, I would like to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback on your recent visit to The Warwickshire. Your comments and feedback will be passed on to my team as we are always looking at way's to improve our team and the guest's experience at The Warwickshire. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. May you have a super day, Kind Regards, Richard Lee
Fantastic experience: Two excellent 18 hole courses with driving range and chipping and putting areas. Hotel and food were fabulous and it has a pool with fitness facilities too. Well worth a visit.
Hi Steve, We are thrilled that you enjoyed visiting us. We look forward to seeing you again. Regards The Management Team
Fantastic experience: spectacular view of the golf course while in the gym
Many thanks for your 5 star review Jamie. Kind Regards The Warwickshire Team
Positive experience: Bit posh for what it was. Friendly helpful staff
Many thanks for your review Mike. Kind regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: It's a Gem of a place, really good course, we enjoyed the game and location.
Many Thanks for your 5 star review. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: Played the King's course, very long and challenging
Many thanks for your 5 star review Yasin. Kind regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: Awesome venue for a golf weekend, staff friendly, well stocked driving range. Both courses are quite different and had their own challenges. The rooms are a good standard and look like they’ve all been recently renovated.
Many thanks for your 5 Star review. We're really pleased to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind Regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: Air con in room was so so at best but staff especially Cerry who were all brilliant.
Many thanks for your 5 Star review Bernie. Kind Regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: Stopped here before the Noel Gallagher gig at Warwick Castle . Food was exceptional quality and staff very helpful . Absolutely stunning views of the golf course . 10 minutes Warwick castle in a taxi . Brilliant must try hotel . Thank you
Hi George, Thank you for leaving us a review, we value hearing from you. Regards, The Management Team
Negative experience: The manager of the golf shop was highly rude and unprofessional as well as defensive towards a member of the golf club, I think his name was Stephen. If he wants to keep members as customers he needs to review his tone and his behaviour.
Good Day Jessica, I appreciate you taking the time to submit your feedback, your comments will be taken under review. Kind regards Golf Operations Team
Negative experience: Slowest round of golf ever! Greedy club ramming 8 minute tee times. So congested! Ruined it.
Good Afternoon Charlotte and Bryce Long, we appreciate you taking the time to share your recent visit to The Warwickshire, we do understand the importance of maintaining an acceptable pace of play, our dedicated Marshall team work tirelessly to ensure this, upon looking into the tee sheet i can see that you played as a one ball on the day, with the start sheet made up of predominately 4 balls which were timed on the day at 4hr 35mins on the Earl's course. Should you wish to visit us in the future my golf team would be more than happy to pair you up. We thank you again and wish you a pleasant day, Kind regards The Golf Operations Team.
Fantastic experience: Second time we have stayed here for our golf trip, both courses are amazing, only downfall was the bunkers, hotel and spa area was great, staff were friendly and helpful, already looking to book for next year
Good morning Peter, I wish to thank you for sharing your feedback on your recent visit to us, we look forward to welcoming you back to The Warwickshire.
Fantastic experience: Played golf - did not have accommodation. The King's Course was in great condition.
Many thanks for your 5 Star review Malcolm. We look forward to welcoming you back to the club in the future. Kind Regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel in gorgeous grounds. Rooms so clean, spacious and comfortable. Spa/pool very, very nice. Will definitely stay again.
Fantastic experience: I’m not normally the type to leave reviews but this young man really made an impact today. His friendliness, attention to detail, work ethic and customer service skills are second to none. Keep doing what you’re doing Tristan, you’ll go far! This review is for you.
Negative experience: Won’t be dealing with the hotel again! Waiting almost a month for a refund but the hotel kept giving me false promises and not resolving anything.
Hi Rai, Do believe that I have emailed you and waiting for information from you to respond. Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Fantastic experience: Golf courses are different class-Best golf and facilities in the Midlands that I have played...on par with the Arden in my opinion-not yet played the belfry-Brab!!
Good morning Ian, Thank you so much for your feedback. I will be sure to pass on your kind words to our green keeping team, we look forward to having you back soon.
Fantastic experience: Played golf on the Kings course, in a remarkable state despite the poor weather this year. Two gripes; the tees were in poor condition and the course Marshall didn’t move on slow play. It took over 5 hours to get round
Good morning David, I wish to thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback, the points you have raised i will address with my team and ensure that we improve upon them. May you have a pleasant day. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Negative experience: Lovely place and stayed there many times, but this will be my last. Service was extremely poor in the bar where I was the only one there, but my dinner order was not put through, so 45mins later, still nothing. Got my refund in the end,
Hi Paul Thank you for your feedback, firstly I would like to apologise for the level of service you experienced during you last stay. We strive to provide great service and I will make sure we pick up the points raised with the team. We hold regular training sessions and will continue to do so to try to improve the consistency of the experience we provide. I'm sorry to hear that this experience has put you off using us in the future but if you do re book please reach out to me at [email protected] and I will make sure you are looked after. Kind Regards Chris
Negative experience: After being regulars and visiting most weekends for coffees we was suddenly turned away today by a woman that we have never seen before. Usually it has never been a problem and we have always signed in with Henry but today they wouldn’t let us through because we weren’t members. We travelled quite far to come down and buy drinks and explained this but they rudely refused us and blamed it on head office. Why has this suddenly happened! The woman even tried to talk us into paying for memberships! The absolute cheek! They need to make everyone aware of this as there is nothing on their social media pages!!! Will be boycotting in future.
Hi Amy, Thank you for your feedback. Our club is a members only club and if you are not accompanied by a member then unfortunately we are unable to allow access. We do have our new Warwick room that is open to the public for breakfast and dinners. This needs to be prebooked in advance. Kind regards The Warwickshire
Negative experience: No tea & coffee in your rooms. You had to keep going up & down to reception to ask for more. You felt some staff only gave you minimal amounts. Breakfast was very poor. They ran out of pastries and fruit on Saturday, and when you complained, the staff just say its been busy, albeit you pay a lot for breakfast. Your dirty plates and cutlery were left on your table, so you had to move it yourself. The reception ask you to email your complaint, but they don't bother responding!
Thank you for your feedback, we strive to provide a great breakfast to our guests and I will make sure I pass on your comments with our team. I'm sorry that we ran out of items on that particular morning and that the plates weren't cleared quickly enough. We hold regular training sessions and will continue to do so to try to improve the consistency of the breakfast we serve.
Negative experience: Customers need to be made aware. While using the gym I left my vans keys with "THE WARWICKSHIRE hand car wash" (nothing to do with the Warwickshire I keep being told) the series of unfortunate events that followed are baffling. Opportunist thief's "just happened" to be passing by while on the hunt to steal tools. Obviously a gym/golf course with gated entry and exit at 11am on a Thursday seems like the ideal place, They pulled up along side my van which "just happened" to be left open and moved from where I left it, and it "just happened" to be unattended by the car wash guys. The thiefs "just happened" to know what was in there and where it was, they took off with approx £5000 worth of tools, as if there day wasnt lucky enough they "just happened" to get let out (by a member of staff) of the new SECURITY gates the club have just invested in, that or they new the 4 digit code to get out. Judging by how luckily there day was going, I would imagine they just had a guess at it and got a 1-10,000 chance right first time. Obviously this was just a series of unfortunate events that amounts in me being absolutely sold down the river and £5000 out of pocket because my insurance doesn't cover someone leaving my van open and unattended. Just be aware when using the facilities here. You may be a lucky one and actually meet the real Easter bunny. Your valued member
Hi Anthony, Thank you for your feedback. I am so sorry to hear about your experience and I believe that this incident is being looked into. Regards The Warwickshire Team
Fantastic experience: One of the best I have stayed in for the friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were very good and clean. Generally the hotel was faultless.
Thank you for your feedback we are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay.
Positive experience: Bit of a strange one. We booked what we thought was going to be a luxury spa break hotel with a golf course. We paid £180 a night in advance so were expecting something a little bit special. What we got felt more like a (nice) council fitness centre with a bland hotel block on the side. Everything was ‘ok’ but it didn’t have a 4-star hotel vibe and didn’t feel like great value for money. Prices are very variable. If you can stay for £100-120 a night I’d say that’s fair. Gym excellent. Food pretty good if unexciting. Service good but more Holiday Inn than luxury spa. Would we stay again? Probably but would make sure we picked a cheaper few nights. Golf club is completely separate. Good parking. Hotel always busy with the gym crowd. Bar not exactly cosy…
Fantastic experience: I rang up to ask about some member credits I had and what I could use them for and Tiffany the Deputy General Manager was so kind & helpful and explained & sorted everything for me. I am extremely grateful and scores 11/10 for customer service! My thanks to Tiffany she is a credit to the Club. :)
Fantastic experience: One of the only places I've ever stayed where the rooms actually looked like they do on the images! Great sleep, lovely room, very friendly staff, and a beautiful location!
Thank you for your feedback. We hope to see you again in the near future.
Fantastic experience: Very nice rooms, staff were friendly and helpful
Fantastic experience: Really great place to stay for the price. No complaints at all. Everything at a surprisingly high standard given the price. Spa / pool has 3 areas - a swimming pool to do lengths - a couple of smaller children pools for a splash around - an adult only hot tub, steam and sauna I was travelling with a child but if I wasn't I'd check the pool times if I wanted to swim as there were classes taking place in most of the pool. Bar/restaurant very well priced Rooms were very good at this price bracket Breakfast area for staying guests had an excellent simple buffet with decent coffee. Everything beautifully clean and new through out.
Dear Joesph, Thank you for leaving us feedback, we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Regards Bianca
Positive experience: Sadly downgraded to 4 stars only because the room temperature struggled to reach a comfortable level. Reception did investigate and offered an additional heater . Apart from that comment, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Well done for the addition of the new restaurant opened only 3 months ago. It has obviously made a huge difference to the hotel. The manager is very enthusiastic and professional and is training her staff up to give her customers the best experience. On the whole we had a very relaxing stay.
Thank you for your feedback. We hope to see you again in the near future.
Fantastic experience: Best Hotel I have been to. Very clean toilets. Comfy beds. Big lounge.
Fantastic experience: Yoga with Sarah I’ve tried yoga classes in Japan and the USA in the past but something about those classes didn’t make me feel want to go those classes again. However, I still wanted to get flexible and kept trying different yoga classes wherever I moved. After my second child turned one, I finally had time to exercise (I’m quite lazy at exercising) and decided to try the 90-minute Vinyasa yoga class that The Warwickshire offered. After only one class I was addicted to Sarah’s class. I didn’t feel I was wasting my time. I was amazed. The whole 90 minutes we were instructed to move our body safely with the constant reminder of breathing in a wonderful music list. My body was stiff as a rock with no stamina, and I never thought I would be as flexible and strong as I am now. The first few months I was super tired after her yoga classes, and it took me one week to recover each time. After a half year, I could not believe how much I had changed. Developing strength and flexibility, my body felt 10 years younger! I did not want to miss a single class of hers and continued for 1.5 years. Sadly I had to move again and couldn’t continue attending her classes anymore. I miss her class so much. I’m so lucky to have met her and started loving yoga and changing my body and life. For that, I can’t thank Sarah enough. She is incredibly talented with what she does with full of good intentions. Every single one of her yoga class movements is well thought out and brings your body to an amazing result. Thank you, Sarah, Thank you The Warwickshire! P.S. Their daycare is caring and lovely. Special thanks to Masa and Rachel for taking care of my little ones with love.
Hi Undra, thank you so much for your feedback. We are so lucky to have Sarah on our team she is wonderful, I will pass on your feedback to her. Many thanks Karen
Positive experience: Excellent option - staff and service warm and attentive - building clean and modern - pool, spa and leisure facilities really well set up with good sized pool for proper swim - rooms are specious v clean and well appointed - nice touch with free drink voucher - only feedback is my fish finger sandwich was not great - salad was old and grim - bread a bit soggy - chips were good - maybe a bad day on a Sunday night - otherwise highly recommended and good value for money
Good Day, Thank you for your feedback we value the input. I will ensure that the feedback regarding the fish sandwich reaches the right person. Thank you, Bianca Turner
Fantastic experience: Great hotel, didn't try the spa. Friendly staff, good bar did not eat in the restaurant, as menu did not appeal. We will return.
Hi Martin, Thank you for leaving us a review, we hope to see you again. Regards
Negative experience: On the website the pool did not mention children had a dedicated time period to use the pool. Found this very inconvenient as when we returned from our outings there was nothing to do for the kids. Won't recommend for families
Hi Renee, Thank you for your feedback. We do have our family swim times online: https://www.thewarwickshire.com/club-family/#familyswim I am so sorry you were not made aware of this in advance.
Fantastic experience: Superv value for money! Great rooms, amazing leisure facilities!! We for a great deal for the night! We'll definitely return!
Dear Esther, Thank you for leaving us feedback. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to welcoming you back in the future. For future bookings please make use of booking directly with us to enjoy special deals only found when booking directly with us on 0330 373 5888 or [email protected]. Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Fantastic experience: Great value. Staff were really polite and helpful. Access to the pool was a real bonus. Would love to revisit with friends and a round of golf.
Positive experience: Booked a four-ball on the Earls course for New Year's Day, nice venue so this is not negative review more of an observation. Clubhouse & facilities fine however with all the rain we have had over the last few weeks we all came to the conclusion that the course should have not been open? the ground was completely waterlogged in places which IMO doesn't help the walker or the course? On reflection maybe someone should have taken the decision to close the course? ,which I know is never an easy business decision to make as it results in a loss of revenue. However it was very unpleasant muddy experience for the golfer having to walk through what was essentially a bog in most parts. That said we would definitely play here again but next time hopefully when it's much drier & in much better condition so we feel we get full value for money.
Good morning John. I wish to thank you for your feedback. We have invested and will continue to invest heavily in improving the play ability of both our courses, by increased sand capping and shock waving we hope in the long term that this will be achieved. On this occasion the weather has beaten us but we are getting there. I would very much like to have you and your playing partners back at The Warwickshire, allow me to extend the courtesy of a 4 ball voucher to use upon your next visit. Here is my email address ([email protected]) , i look forward to hearing from you. I wish you a pleasant day. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Fantastic experience: Stayed here for 1 night over the new year. Warm greeting on arrival and pleasantly surprised when we got to the room. Seemed to be newly renovated with quality furniture, beautiful bathroom, huge comfortable bed, great WiFi, very clean and tidy. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a mini fridge in the room. Unfortunately we did not visit the Spa or golf course etc as we only stayed for the night before visiting Warwick castle early the next day. Would highly recommend!
Dear Ryan, Thank you for leaving us a review, we very much value this and look forward to welcoming you back at The Warwickshire again. Regards Bianca Turner
Fantastic experience: Great post Christmas round of golf on the Kings course. The greens and tee boxes were in excellent condition, the course was overall in great nick especially considering the rain. Not too busy either so we got round in a good time. Looking forward to the next round and another 4&3 win
Good Morning Sebastian I wish to thank you for your feedback, i am glad to hear you had such an enjoyable round and congrats on the 4&3. We look forward to welcoming you back to The Warwickshire soon. May you have a super day. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Fantastic experience: Hotel is beautiful. Staff are lovely. Area is tranquil. Honestly cannot fault my experience with staying here, and would highly recommend.
Fantastic experience: Quick visit to meet a Customer, very welcoming and plenty of parking. Wet cold day so don’t spend much time outside. Coffee was good food looked tasty.
Fantastic experience: Great hotel, great rooms, good service. Highly recommend this location, visited many times for both pleasure and business.
Dear Iain, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We look forward to seeing you around in the future. Kind Regards The Warwickshire
Fantastic experience: Ideal hotel for our onward journey to North Wales. Such a friendly reception from the staff, would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Hi Penny Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. So glade to hear that you enjoyed staying with us. We hope to see you back soon. Regards Bianca Turner
Positive experience: Very nice rooms, clean and spacious with good amenities. The reason I only gave 4 stars was due to breakfast, there weren't any vegetarian/vegan alternatives for hot food, just beans and hashbrowns. There was also some fruit there, but the grapes shared a plate with some sort of ham, not very vegetarian/vegan friendly! Apart from that, everything else was excellent!
Dear KC, Thank you for leaving us your feedback. Feedback is an integral part of our business so that we can improve our service delivery to our guests. Please rest assured that I will pass this feedback onto the correct person to take into account. Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Fantastic experience: Lovely place to unwind and play golf. The Kings course is pretty open and forgiving the Earls is a bit more of a challenge with tighter fairways. The club house is well stocked and the staff are helpful. Not had any food or booze due to having to drive. There's plenty of parking. You can warm up on the range, if you want. I prefer to take a few practice swings on the 1st then hope for the best. Would 100% recommend this course for golfers of all abilities. It Is a bit of a long walk between holes.
Hi Dave, Thank you for leaving us some feedback, I will pass this onto the relevant departments. We look forward to welcoming you back at The Warwickshire. Regards Bianca Turner
Negative experience: The terms of membership are really unclear, making it almost impossible to leave when you want to. The company is exploiting their customers to grab more money. The courses are so wet they are unplayable for half of the year, hence wanting to leave. We are clearly not the only members having problems with the service here. Avoid this overpriced club.
Fantastic experience: Really lovely hotel with great facilities and friendly staff. You have the spa facilities all included in your stay and access to a Golf course. The food at the restaurant was also very tasty and well presented. All the rooms were very spacious and clean. Highly recommend the hotel for future stays :-)
Hi, thank you for your kind words. Hope to see you again soon.
Negative experience: The room was fine and reasonably comfortable, the only issue was so much noise from children. The golf courses on the other hand, were dreadful. TBF, it had rained a good deal and perhaps they should have been closed due to flooding and mud!
Hi Peter, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. Unfortunately the elements mentioned are out of our control to some extent. However ofcourse if it was at unreasonable hours I do hope that you let the reception team know so that we could have addressed this for you. Furthermore I do hope that this will not hinder you from visiting us in the future. Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Negative experience: I was a member for nearly 2 years here and found the club to be very good. However, my experience since has been so bad that not only am I never coming back, I want to make sure no one else has to experience it. Since cancelling in July, we have been harassed for 4 months for payment as they STILL will not accept our cancellation after 12 emails and complaints from us. They will not deal with our complaints, just ask for more and more information they have no right to before they will cancel and keep escalating our 'debt' illegally. They've now sent our account to debt collection and we've had to send legal letters for harassment. Their actions are not only terrible customer service, they're illegal.
Positive experience: No thst impressed for £89, hard pillows, bedside lamp flickering, bathroom sink blocked water took forever empty, I had a better room elsewhere for £50.
Good Day Mimma, Thank you for leaving us your feedback, we apologies for your sink not working as it should and the bedside lamp flickering. Both of these issues have been passed on for correction. We have tried new pillows in our rooms and appreciate the feedback for future purchasing. Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Positive experience: Great pool and spa area and the rooms are new and very nice and modern. Something needs be done about the eating areas though. Look and feel like a bar. Zero atmosphere. Wouldn’t want to bring a large golfing group to stay here unless we ate out and there are good restaurants and pubs very close.
Dear Gina, Thank you for leaving us a review. We are currently underway in building a new restaurant which will address the points highlighted. We would like to welcome you and your golf group back in the near future, as we have 2 champion golf courses and an amazing club house onsite. Should you wish to get in contact to book a golf group please contact our events team on [email protected]. Look forward to seeing you around soon. Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Positive experience: Nice clean modern hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Would have been good to have notified about the fireworks and lack of restaurant. Had to have a walk up to to local pub for food.
Hi Duncan, Thank you for leaving us a review, on behalf of the Warwickshire we do apologies for the lack of communication to you. We do hope that you enjoyed your meal up at the local pub and the awesome display of fireworks. Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Negative experience: Nice location but very poor service : 1) Wifi is not working or constantly disconnecting when it’s finally connecting 2) Quality & variety of breakfast is far away from what is expected (vs. similar hotels) On top, no commercial policy when stays are impacted by non-forecasted situations (heating system not operating and replaced by mobile devices).
Good Day Thierry, On behalf of The Warwickshire, we would like to formally apologies for the problem you experienced on your last visit here. Due to building works been carried out the builders had damaged the device that regulates the air conditioners. Understandably mobile devices (heater) might not be best practice, however this was the only quick solutions we had to ensuring that you were kept warm. We can confirm that the replacement unit has been fitted and all is up an running perfectly now. We do look forward to having you stay with us in the future. Kind Regards Bianca Turner Hotel Manager
Negative experience: Cold and incompetent manager Rytin. Entire staff is white English & 1 new nice Indian lady for diversity hired who doesn’t know anything because she is not taught well. It’s a small place, always overcrowded by local people & loud in the dining hall. Waffle from kids menu for our daughter were burned & we had to wait 20 minutes for it. Local members are super rude, pompous & unsocial making the stay horrible memory.
Hi RR, please drop us a line at the Club and we'll try to work out what we can do to improve your experience.
Positive experience: Reviewing as a gym member. It’s a nice club with a cosy restaurant/bar and outside seating area with a great view of the golf course. The gym was recently renovated and looks great, but they have a poor set up with these new machines in that they decided one day to enforce member logins every time you want to use a digital machine like treadmill or bike (which I’ve never experienced in any other gym) and they ignored customer emails when they enquired about the poor experience. Also gym members using the weights often don’t put their plates back, so I’d encourage the club to put signs up or note this to members as I’ve worried sometimes about injuring myself trying to move heavy weights left on a bar. The pool area is good but the showers and changing room could really do with a make over.
Hi Deborah, thank you for your review. I understand your frustrations on logging in to the kit but this is something that in the past we always did with the key. It's really important for several reasons, firstly we can set you a program and you can see how you are progressing. It helps our instructors know how to help you in reviews etc. Lastly it protects your memberships by excluding people who may have snuck in. Member ettiquette is forever a problem sadly but we keep trying and won't stop. Lastly, we've invested heavily over the last 3 years and we can always find more ways to improve. I think you comment on the changing rooms is fair but having done the pool, wet spa, gym, pilates studio and just finishing up the hotel lounge the changing rooms might have to wait a for a little bit. We'll get there though, we don't want to stand still and we always want to improve.
Fantastic experience: Great golf courses not very often you find 2 together good well looked after course atca hotel But these are great and very well looked after apart from golfer not repairing there pitch marks Food in the hotel was very good Prices for food and drink are on the high side as with any decent hotel/club house Would definatly return
Hi Mark, thank you for such a lovely review...we'd love to have you back!
Positive experience: Both golf courses were challenging. Preferred the Kings course - more open, more water. Difficult but well maintained greens. Tee boxes were scruffy. Hotel was lovely and excellent gym, spa etc. Breakfast was fine but the evening meal was only average - not up to the standard of 4 star hotel. Definitely a good place for a golf weekend
Hi Stephen, thank you for your feedback. Really please you enjoyed your time with us. Hopefully with the new hotel restaurant opening in November we can push you up to a full 5 stars! Make sure you come back and see us again!
Negative experience: Don't waste your time or money. Couldn't provide the room we booked - only accessible/disabled rooms available. First room had an overwhelming smell of sewage so asked to be moved. Second room had a shower that didn't maintain heat. For a hotel that has quite clearly invested a lot of money into looking nice, clean and modern they are getting the basics all wrong.
Hi Dana, really sorry to hear of your experience, if you can email Bianca directly on [email protected] I'm sure we can look into this and try to give you a better experience next time with a suitable incentive.
Positive experience: Really nice golf weekend, good courses and good rooms. Not much going on at night...
Hi Craig, thank you for your feedback. I think that's fair but we do have great towns near by in Warwick, Kennilworh, Stratford or Leamington. Loads of nightlife just a short skip and a hop in a taxi. Next time we'll give you some fun options to look out for.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful Scenery! Amazing Golf Course, Lovely hotel, with Steam/Sauna/Hydro rooms & indoor pool. Relaxing & Calm for a short getaway
Dear Kalpesh, Thank you for your feedback, we are thrilled that you have enjoyed staying at the Warwickshire. We look forward to having you stay with us again. Kind Regards The Team at The Warwickshrie
Negative experience: Golf Society As part of a 20 strong group, I felt the golfers are treated as 2nd class citizens and the hotel is more set up for Spa. We arrived, aware we were unable to check in until 15:00, so we completed the paperwork. Our tee time was 12:36 so we didn't arrive back until nearly 17:45. We were given an envelope of info. At no point were we told ,verbally that our meal was ñot in hotel but back at the golf centre, or that there was a shuttle bus. We were expecting a 4 star standard 2 course meal, what we got could have been served from a roadside catering van and had more flavour. We were then informed that we would be eating there the next evening for a Carvery, I dread toghink what that would have been. Our organiser's spoke with the hotel management who made promises that weren't kept. We paid nearly £400 each for our golf and stay, and you thought buying us a round of drinks would make us happy and accept it. The staff at golf centre were struggling to cope and the set up of 1 serving, 1 taking the money, 1 doing dishwasher duties does not work. Receptionist on Sat evening (Laura)and Ago were very attentive and tried to assist us as much as they could. Breakfast area too small, tea and coffee machines too close to servery and machines needed cleaning or refilling every 15 mins. Rooms very nice, Buggy Hire expensive You and your booking partners nèed to be open and honest about location of golf centre to hotel, promote there is a shuttle. Explain where meals are. I'm afraid we won't be back Thank you for your response, but it is very non committal. Your actions going forward are of no use to us Our first impression, and the way we were treated, will stay with us, as you did not provide 4 star service. This is not very customer centric. Regards Dave Rahilly
Dear Guest, Thank you for leaving us feed back, it is definately not the tone we would like to be setting for our hotel guests. We are proactively making adjustments within our business to ensure that our guests have a better journey at The Warwickshire. I have forwarded the feedback onto the relevant heads of departments so please rest assure that the points highlighted above will be addressed. We do hope that you would reconsider visiting The Warwickshire in the future, I am sure that you will see a noticeable difference. We will keep the green well manicured for you to enjoy! Kind Regards Bianca Turner
Negative experience: We have been coming away as a golf society for thirty years and we have covered the British isles on our three day competitions. The Golf courses here are of a good standard but I'd suggest a buggy for the less fit on the Earls Course as it's very long. The actual Hotel is clean and the breakfast was ok but nothing special and lack of staff didn't help as some of our golf players didn't have eggs as there was no one to inform that they had run out. Location only got two stars as you have to drive about a mile to the golf complex to actually play golf but the main reason for such a poor score is that we paid a considerable amount of money for a premier experience and you certainly don't get that. On our first evening you are transported by shuttle bus to the golf complex where they have organised a barbecue which consisted of a stale bun and a sausage with a tasteless burger and coleslaw with a few fries and you eat this in a small room with absolutely no atmosphere. Some felt like it was eating in a morgue. As the chef told us, it's easy for them to organise as they only need three staff! Obviously the next day we complained as this was not the dining experience we expect. They had planned for us to return to the morgue for a carvery the next evening but then decided they would provide a TWO course meal in the main hotel the following night with wine but you would have to pay extra for a dessert. Well the food we had was of a good standard but alas we didn't get any wine and had the awful experience of watching a drunken wrestling match on the floor by a group of lads whilst we ate. At no time did the staff intervene but just walked past like it was a normal occurrence. We complained the following morning but since it was our last day they weren't interested. If you are looking for a premier experience to play golf and enjoy a weekend away with friends then l strongly suggest that you give The Warwickshire golf complex a miss as without doubt the worst experience we've had in thirty years.
Hi Richard, thank you for your feedback. I'm really sorry you felt let down by the BBQ on Saturday. As you mentioned we wanted to give you a gesture on the second night with the drinks but for whatever reason this wasn't done and we're truly sorry. I will be reaching out to your lead booker and we'll make sure you can at least come back to enjoy the golf courses again with us. You may have noticed during your visit that we're building a dedicated bar area for hotel guests currently and as soon as this is finished it would be very rare guests would need to be shuttled up top. Hopefully this will fix the issues you have had. Once again please accept our sincere apologies.
Fantastic experience: Played there on Wednesday. Great location, very undulating fairways, and green were tricky to read.
Good morning John. I wish to thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our course. I wish you a super day and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Negative experience: Great location and venue BUT beware a possible 6 hr round of golf. Had a lovely day until we got fed up and walked off the 15th tee and straight to the bar after 4 tedious hours of slow play. Get some Superintendents who can speed slow players up. Very annoying
Good afternoon Nick. I wish to thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to read of your recent experience with us, i can assure you we at the Warwickshire take pace of play very seriously, we have a team of 3 marshals on the course to ensure that pace of play is maintained at all times. I will take this matter up with my Marshall team to ascertain what the factors were leading to the slow pace of play you experienced on the day and ensure that these factors do not happen again in the future. I would like to extend the courtesy of a 4 ball voucher for you to come back and enjoy the Warwickshire my contact details are [email protected] please get in touch in order for me to send you the voucher. I wish you a pleasant day further. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Negative experience: Poor. They moved our tee time by 30 mins to accommodate another group, who were slow old golfers faffing about on every shot. Had to abandon the round after 12 holes, that had taken 4 and a half hours....... Restaurant got our order wrong Nice place and course, but badly managed, clearly focused on profit over customer enjoyment.
Good afternoon Roger. Thank you for your feedback. My sincerest of apologies for your recent experience with us here at the Warwickshire, we make every attempt to ensure that pace of play is upheld. If i may ask you said you were moved by 30mins what was your original tee time scheduled for prior to you being asked to move, during the duration of your play did any of our course Marshall's come out to assist or where visible during your round. I can only apologize for your experience with us, please accept a courtesy 4 ball voucher on my behalf for you to come back and enjoy the Warwickshire i have included my email address [email protected], please contact me to arrange the voucher. I wish you a pleasant day further. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Negative experience: Nice place spoiled by the differential treatment of local gym members over hotel guests, whereby they benefit from widely advertised dining promotions (e.g. BOGOF) and discounts that are not afforded to hotel guests. Clearly this is wrong and leaves you feeling like a 2nd class citizen, which is a shame as we were returning guests, having stayed a few times at this hotel. Obviously loyalty counts for nothing, unless you're one of their 'cherished' gym members who are afforded preferential treatment. Consequently, we always dined out during our week-long stay. I raised this issue with reception more than once but they seemed unable to respond, merely blaming the Head Office, citing it was out of their control. I asked to speak to the manager each time but I was told he was not around ...?! However, the staff are friendly but often poorly organised. For example, the cafe bar staff are frequently overwhelmed from the numerous gym customers, who dominate the bar. Also, we were staying all week, as flagged when we arrived, yet we kept getting called each morning in our room to ask when we were checking out! Then on our 4th night we were forced to move rooms, as reservations had allocated our existing room to a new guest - poor organisation! So, not the best service ...but all done with a smile.
Hi, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear about the discrepancies you encountered during your recent stay. Your concerns are taken seriously, and we will review our policies to ensure fairness and consistency in our offerings. We value your loyalty as a returning guest, and it's disheartening to hear that you felt like a second-class citizen. We apologize for the inconvenience in addressing this matter and appreciate your patience. Despite the issues you've raised, we're glad to know that you found our staff to be friendly. We will also take your comments about the cafe bar and room allocation into consideration as we aim to enhance our services. Your feedback is essential in our ongoing efforts to improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a more satisfying stay. We currently are extending our restaurant dining area for our hotel guests which will allow a more desired dining experience. With several other improvements on the way. Kind regards The Warwickshire Team
Positive experience: Nice hotel but children running around the corridors at 11pm at night not acceptable Not suitable for children really. Food ok but felt like a canteen at breakfast Staff very young need extra training
Hi Janice, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay at our hotel. We genuinely appreciate your insights as they help us improve our services. We're glad to hear that you found our hotel to be nice. However, we're sorry to learn that your experience was marred by some issues. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by children running around the corridors late at night. We understand the importance of maintaining a peaceful and relaxing environment for all our guests, and we will certainly address this matter to ensure such incidents are prevented in the future. We aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, whether they are families with children or adults seeking a tranquil stay. Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your thoughts. We value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, providing you with a more enjoyable and satisfying stay. If you have any further feedback or suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
Fantastic experience: Excellent hotel with friendly and helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Self service breakfast was good, with enough choices to vary each day. I used the pool and sauna early morning and late evening when it was adults only, it was clean and well maintained. Overall a perfect place to stay in Warwick.
Thank you Clare! Means a lot to us!
Negative experience: There must be new management on the food side the service was poor from previous years. Perfect venue. Lovely golf course. Perfect for kids. But the kitchen service needs to go back to what it used to be. Both hotel and golf course. Summer time golf. Kitchen closed at 5:30 . If u are a big society it's not good. Then the hotel kitchen also closes early. And food kept running out and had to. Hope this changes.
Hi Ian We do have a number of new people coming into this side of the business but closing the kitchen so early in golf is not right. We should serve till 6.30pm mid week unless you've pre-booked with your society? Usually our packages include dinner so it might be worth looking at the package next time if we can convince you to return. With regards to the hotel we serve until 9.30pm. Clearly lots of other issues going on with suppliers etc but we'll do our utmost to make sure you never experience this again when you visit. Get in touch with Ruth and make sure your feedback comes over and we'll reflect that on your next event.
Positive experience: Just had a 2 day golf break at the Warwickshire County club with 7 friends, with handicaps between 17 &25. The golf courses were excellent all round. The signs between holes wasn't very clear, never sure how to get to the next tee. Menu for the evening meal was a bit restricted. But a good place to go.
Good morning Brian, I wish to thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated. My apologies for the signage on the course, we are currently busy addressing this and will be introducing some new signage in the near future. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our golf course and we look forward to welcoming you back to enjoy them again. Wishing you a pleasant day. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Positive experience: Service was excellent, attentive and polite. Location is beautiful. Room was OK although the water temperature in the shower was hit and muss. Went from warm to icy cold and back again without touching any taps. Also no fridge was was disappointing. Food very reasonably priced.
Hi Jaquie Thank you for your feedback...we'll have a look into the hot water straight away...shouldn't fluctuate at all? We'll work on it immediately. Cheers Patrick
Positive experience: A fantastic weekend of golf. Both courses were fabulous. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was OK plenty of choice. A little annoyed that cash was not an option price for drinks was a bit much.
Hi Mike, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the cashless inconvenience. We hope to see you again.
Negative experience: Check in staff not very helpful Left some clothes in wardrobe contacted hotel who after I offering to pay the postage on my card never bothered to post them phoned 4 days later to find nothing had been done. Poor customer service
Hi Tim, We are so sorry this has been your experience. I will ensure this is checked and get back to you as soon as possible.
Fantastic experience: Loved the location. So much to explore didn’t even bother with the gym just went for a run outside. Felt safe exploring the surroundings as well. The facade wasn’t what we expected neither was the lobby but when we got into the room it was gorgeous and so comfortable and relaxing! Lovely and clean. Gorgeous shower! Windows with beautiful views. The bed was so comfortable Hubby and I had a lovely night sleep. It was also nice of them to have decorated the room for our 10th year anniversary complete with anniversary card and a free drink at the bar! Will definitely stay again! The only thing was the bacon at breakfast was a bit overcooked and so were some of the sausages. Everything else the hash browns, mushrooms and eggs were nice.
Hi Almira, Thank you so much for your feedback. We will be sure to ensure our bacon is improved before your next visit. See you soon.
Positive experience: Only visited friends staying at the hotel. Lovely hotel, rooms very well done out. Only down side was service in bar was very slow & according to friends not great in the morning for breakfast.
Hi Tim, thank you for your review. We've got a few big changes coming to help those issues - new F&B Manager starting in 2 weeks and a brand new hotel lounge extention to help improve the breakfast and dining experiences for your next visit!
Fantastic experience: Private party, well catered. Smart place with great facilities. Very friendly and hospitable staff.
Lovely to hear, thank you so much for the 5 stars Karen.
Positive experience: Room was absolutely lovely however the bed was two smaller beds pushed together, which I have never been a fan of. Massive confusion over whether or not the room was paid for or not (I was on a business trip) so I had to pay out of my pocket when in fact it was already covered. This was sorted the next day. Pool and spa were good with easy access. Golf course was beautiful, clearly very well maintained. WiFi was passable but the in-room Ethernet port unfortunately did not work. Shower, soaps and towels were good. Many of the staff were very young, and therefore inexperienced. Which in turn, their inexperience came across as rudeness a fair few times during my stay. Their tonality and body language were not that of a luxury hotel from my past experiences at different hotels across the world. The breakfast was pretty good, one of the best buffet style breakfasts I have had quality wise, variety wise not so much. I had a club sandwich for dinner which was not great, dry chicken and no sauce/butter. Fries were nice and fresh. Overall 7.5 / 10. I think there are a few things that would be very simple to fix.
Hi Harrison Thank you for your feedback, really indepth and useful for us...thank you. Hope to see you again soon and we'll tweak these bits.
Fantastic experience: I took my granddaughter for a swimming lesson yesterday. Unfortunately I had not got a £1 token for locker. I asked at the bar and reception for change of a £20 note both replied cashless. A lovely member of staff Charlotte gave me a £1 coin which I thought was very kind and saved me having to carry my valuables around with me. So I thank you again Charlotte. Again most kind. Geraldine
Hi Geraldine Lovely to hear...I'll make sure charlotte sees your review! Take care Patrick
Fantastic experience: Treated the old man to some golf and time away. Courses were fantastic, rooms great and pool / spa just what we needed after hacking our way around the golf courses.
Good morning Freddie We wish to thank you for your feedback, it's great appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind Regards Richard Lee
Fantastic experience: Golfing Weekend. Rooms clean neat and well presented Food good without being overly fussy. Golf Course was challenging but good fun to play. Kept in top condition.
Hi Colin, Thank you so much for your feedback, we hope to see you again.
Positive experience: Booked as a two night stay and play golf break. Sadly, a very mixed experience. The golf courses both great. Well maintained by the obviously hard working green staff. The greens a delight, the shaping the contours and the speed - fast! Richard in the pro shop welcoming and helpful in every way, leaving a positive lasting impression. Many thanks Richard. The Hotel We were greeted by Tiffany and Laura, who were both fantastic. They too were very helpful and their welcome was just what was needed after a tiring day. Thank you very much Tiff and Laura. The accommodation (Room 8) met our expectations with a good sized twin room, comfortable beds (I have a Hypnos mattress at home, the best), although the pillows a little too firm for me. The bathroom well laid out with a rainfall shower, giving reliable pressure and temperature. The housekeeping staff kept the room clean and tidy, again, many thanks to all. The Restaurant (evening meal and breakfast). A truly awful experience in every way. Evening meal. The starters (baked camembert and creamy peppercorn mushrooms) were delicious. The main (steak for both of us on night one), though perfectly cooked by Ben, was full of gristle and not pleasant to eat. After a very long day of travelling and golf, we were both very hungry, so ate the meal but made our disappointment known immediately thereafter. Night two saw us reversing our starters, and again, they were equally delicious. The main (the Big Stack burger for both of us) was an abomination. Two very thin patties that were overcooked and dry. They lacked sufficient burger sauce, which also made the meal even drier. Thank goodness for well cooked skin on chips, onion rings etc. Nothing like the description on the menu. Again, being hungry, we chose to eat as much of the meal as we could, leaving unfinished plates. And again, we let our disappointment at the food be known immediately. And the wine, what a farce; if only it was funny! Night one, a bottle of Montepulciano d"Abruzzo, priced at £19.50. Perfectly acceptable, however, we were charged £23.00; not noticed until the next morning. Night two, we requested the same wine, only to be told that a large number of wines were not available and given a choice of four other wines, all more expensive. We made our choice and were told the price, which was different to that on the drinks menu we had and we commented on this. The staff member (Egyptian, I can't recall his name), took our drinks menu away and then returned with another drinks menu, which was priced differently - higher of course! I told him that under consumer law, if an item had been presented to me at a lower price point, and that price was reasonable for the item in question, then the lower price should apply. I am unconvinced that he understood this, but did reduce the price by an unknown amount as he had, by this point, taken both drinks menus away. Shambolic. Mentions to Heidi, Rhea, Harvey & Ben, who were all excellent in difficult circumstances. Breakfast (both days) The usual hot and cold buffet, but not! A shortage of hot food (the greedy and selfish golfers no doubt according to Mr Andrew Iredale, F & B Manager, and crockery also (day 2). A shortage of fresh fruit. Order coffee, fine, it will be made for you. Order tea, make it yourself. Staff running around like headless chickens. Tables not wiped down. Not even organised chaos. The worst breakfast service that I have experienced.
Hi Doc Rez, thank you for taking the time to feedback so thorougly. Clearly lots of work to be done. As you will have seen we're currently building a new breakfast/dining room for the hotel to try to help us better manage the food and beverage areas. It clearly isn't the full solution but I hope it will ease some of the balance struggles we have and therefore give us a fighting chance to be more organised. Thanks Patrick
Fantastic experience: Absolutely superb golf course! Although I am a member of a golf course in Leicestershire I do regularly play other courses, in comparison to the other courses I have played the green fee is less than I would expect for a course of this quality, at present my no1 course taking into consideration value/course condition! Will be returning frequently to play! Thank you
Good morning Lee We wish to thank you for your feedback, it's greatly appreciated. And we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Kind Regards Richard
Fantastic experience: 2nd visit this year, and the course was in great condition again. Staff, facilities and food are all very good. We'll be booking this venue again later in the year.
Good morning Marc. We truly appreciate your feedback, and we look forward to welcoming you back. Wishing you a fantastic day. Kind Regards Richard
Negative experience: Great golf course - played the Earls course but why oh why must you completely rip the public off ? I went in to the pro shop and bought a 500ml bottle of Pepsi £3.70......this must be the most expensive bottle of pop in the UK , very sour taste left in my mouth , when you are charging top dollar to play is there really a need to blatantly rip people off ?
Good morning Laurence. We thank you for your feedback. Kind Regards Richard
Positive experience: Comfortable modern hotel, clean and well appointed. Really appreciated the spa (steam room, sauna, jacuzzi) attached to the pool. Usual buffet breakfast ( unusually the hash browns were excellent - super crispy), plenty of choice. Had a good dinner, decent steak snd chips. All in all a positive experience.
Thanks Graham! Hope to see you again soon.
Fantastic experience: Proper golf course albeit a little wet in places love another go in the summer. Hotel rooms were excellent as was the service and breakfast well worth a visit go play and stay
Hi Joe Thank you for your lovely feedback...hope to see you again soon!
Negative experience: Was really looking forward to playing the Earls course here but it was shocking. Totally waterlogged and should have been closed. I can honestly say it was the worst round of golf I’ve ever had, and I was filthy with mud from the knees down when I came off this course. New Footjoys absolutely ruined. I’d never return and an absolute disgrace of a golf course.
Hi David I'm really sorry to hear your feedback about the course. As you'll know we've had double the average rain fall in March and April and we're really struggling with continued bad weather. We've spent a huge amount of money on Sand capping over the last 3 years and will continue to do so over the coming years. It's not a one hit fix but an evolution over the next few years. We've gone from a course that effectively closed throughout the winter to one that (believe it or not), stands up really well against our local competitors. If you can reach out directly to me I will invite you back to play the course when the weather is better...no doubt we'll be into a draught soon! I'd love to show you the real Warwickshire. Kind regards Patrick Ferguson
Positive experience: Give this place a miss if your planning an overnight stay at best it’s a travel lodge with a leisure centre attached to it not a luxury spa. we are still waiting for our apology from a totally disappointing expensive trip we had in April ,poor customer service, bland pub standard food and zero communication about the golf courses being waterlogged and it being green maintenance week £13 for a pint and gin tonic in a leisure centre not my idea of a luxury spa
Hi Richard I'm really sorry to hear that you thought your stay was poor. Sadly with double the average rain fall in both March and April the courses are going to be wetter than we'd like. This is the case throughout the area and we're all hoping to have some relief in the weather very soon. I can understand however how that would tarnish your stay. Hopefully you can come back for a complimentary 4 ball when the summer finally shows its face and we can show you how good we can be.
Positive experience: The security light is like a beacon of light that lights the whole room at night. Not a great night's sleep. Breakfast was a disappointment No bacon Ran out of plates and glasses Coffee machine wasn't working properly
Good morning Lisa and thank you for your feedback. I am extremely disappointed to hear that breakfast wasn't up to our normally high standards and running out of plates and glasses is somewhat puzzling as I only recently purchased a large amount of stock. I will be speaking to the breakfast chef as to why we are running out of breakfast items however with the golfers now returning for the season they unfortunately aren't the most considerate to others needs and tend to fill their boots, not totally surprising as they are spending 5 hours on the courses. I am currently reviewing the breakfast set up and with the new restaurant opening in September I am hoping all these issues will be addressed at this point,if not beforehand. Regards Andrew Iredale Resort F&B Manager
Fantastic experience: Excellent place for golf. The courses are impressive, very difficult and long but a good challenge. We stayed in the hotel at the site which is excellent, really nice food and good swimming / spa facilities. Only downside was the earls course was very boggy which was a shame.
Good day Mark, thank you for your feedback we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and the golf course, we look forward too seeing you back soon.
