Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Simply Gym west and east for some time. I've always found it a pleasurable place to keep fit. The staff past and present have always been amazing. One of the reasons I've continued my membership. They are always helpful, friendly, welcoming and willing to do that extra bit for you. The selection of classes is top rate. They are hard (if you want to push yourself) but always fun. I look forward to being a member for years to come. Well done Simply. Keep it up, and a massive thank you to your staff

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a few years now, it's a decent gym for all abilities. The price is very good for what you get (gym, classes, sauna and steam rooms). The classes are really good and the instructors are motivating and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Recently rejoined upon my return to Swindon. I gave JD gyms a try but the parking availability was horrendous and was way too busy during peak times. The facilities at Simply are clean and there is a decent selection of weights/equipment to use. Parking is never an issue and staff are always friendly and helpful. The sauna is a nice added bonus.

Negative experience: The steam room is constantly "out of order " although many people say that this is only to save on energy bills, so because of that the small sauna is always very crowded therefore I can't use it! Unfortunately I've seen(not once)the cleaner using the same mop to clean both toilets floor and shower walls.

Fantastic experience: I rejoined Simply West in January after a long break & I'm so glad I did! This gym feels like home. The staff are all so friendly, the classes are brilliant fun & there is a huge range of equipment across two floors. Changing rooms are spacious with plenty of lockers & hair dryers, showers are hot & there's the added bonus of the sauna & steam room too. Alison has done wonders as the new manager - such a lovely lady who clearly cares about her club & community. I love the affirmations on the mirror in the bathroom for mental health week! I'm so glad to be back - thank you, Simply West!

Fantastic experience: You have access to so much for 1 simple fee. The usual stuff in a gym but also loads of different classes, cycle studio, sauna and steam room.

Fantastic experience: This is the third gym I go in Swindon after having to move here. I was very disappointed with the other ones I've been to and I am so happy to find a place where I can workout as I used to. SPACIOUS gym (you can not really tell from the pics here), lots of equipments and I have to mention that the gym is very well maintained, from air conditioning to the cleanliness inside it. I haven't visited the steam room yet but I am excited to do so.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been training at Simply Gym West Swindon for years. I contemplated leaving until they brought in the new manager Ali in October. Since then the gym has a completely different feel. It’s welcoming, well maintained, staff who listen and care and outstanding classes with new ones recently added. Thank goodness for Ali. She’s the breath of fresh air the place needed and I recommend training here. Great diverse equipment and some PTs who really do get results.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, well equipped and a good range of classes. Busy, but never too busy. A nice mix of cardio and weight machines, with weight machines available on two floors which allows those that may be a bit uncomfortable going into the ‘weights’ area to use machines adjacent to the cardio machines area.

Negative experience: Since moving to the local area I have made this my gym, very good facilities however the sauna and steam is sometimes rancid. The smell of urine from the shower and steam room is atrocious! When members try to use the mop buckets and water available to get rid of the smell they get told not to because of the possibility of detergents in the buckets. I have raised it with staff on multiple occasions, most recently a couple of weeks ago around 4pm. I was told we will leave a note for the cleaner tomorrow to give it a clean. So that means that anyone who uses the steam room and shower in the busiest period after work will smell the urine and possibly sit in it. This gym is great and has even greater potential if the staff would clean when alerted or leave a clean bucket for members to use to wash down the steam room and shower.

Fantastic experience: I give simply gym west Swindon 5⭐. At 19.99 it's a bargain especially as this includes use of sauna & steam room. There is lots of space to workout aswell as in the changing rooms that are always nice & clean. There is a nice selection of classes (inc in price) & studios are in a room of their own so not disturbing anyone. Really, you cannot beat this gym!

Positive experience: All the equipment you need so spot on. The only problem is the floors are always dirty in the steam area and changing/shower rooms.. Ive moaned at the cleaners plenty off times with a comment off any chance of you using detergent/soap in the water you wash the floors with.. but they still don't even after this pandemic.

Negative experience: Went there to enquire about a gym membership. It felt like I was putting them out to have a look at the gym. The gym it's self is quite well kitted out from what I saw though, just a shame about the staff I dealt with on the day.

Positive experience: It's got what you need for a good workout if you need more this isn't the gym but you have to pay for it hours and staff are good great hygein

Fantastic experience: Love this gym. It’s changed so much since it got the new manager Ali. She has turned it around with new equipment and classes. Plus she has lots more ideas for the gym going forward. It’s totally changed the gym. It now has a great atmosphere in here. The staff are really friendly and you can have a laugh with them and they’re always ready to give you assistance if needed and advice. They have recently got loads of new equipment to keep the gym up to date with everything you need. They have lots of classes catering for everyone from Pilates/yoga/Zumba/ circuits/Hitt and many more. They have showers, sunbeds and 2 saunas which are great after a gym sesh. They have hairdryers for your use and lots of space with mirrors to do your hair and make up. The gym is really clean and tidy. I would highly recommend.

Positive experience: The gym looks and feels pretty much the same as it was before the lockdown. Only difference is the extra signage with one way system for going upstairs and exiting from the top floor. Some "cleaning stations" basically done anti bacterial sprays with blue roll paper scattered around - although more of these are needed especially downstairs because constantly walking the length of the gym and back just to clean the equipment after each use is tedious and time consuming and eats into your workout session. Also considering the gym was closed for 4-5 months that time could've been used to give it a deep clean and dust away all the cobwebs and give it a fresh coat of paint, seems a missed opportunity at the least and lazy at worst. The biggest plus though is that the gym definitely is quieter everytime I've been in.

Positive experience: A good quality spacious gym will a decent amount of varied equipment. No pool or court but does have spa functions. Toilets are usually in good sanitary condition and there are quite a few showers. The gym itself doesn’t tend to be overly busy most of the time. Would recommend for people who like to go to the gym alone as is very welcoming and enjoyable.

Positive experience: Been using this gym for a couple of years, it is excellent value for money considering its far cheaper than any of the competition. The equipment is very good quality and plentiful, they offer alot of different fitness classes all day every, including yoga, with very easy class booking on the members App. The sauna and steam room are a great bonus for post workout relaxing. The changing rooms and showers are good, with plenty if mirrors and hair dryers, lockers are a good size and lockable with your own padlock. Staff are helpful and friendly. Car park in big enough but I don't drive to the gym personally. Sometimes you do find things broken, and the gym could do with a deep clean more often. Positive experience: Good gym, plenty of equipment but quite a condensed floor area, makes HIIT or circuit trg difficult. Not much scope for gymnastic movements, again due to space. Friendly staff, clean and tidy areas.

Negative experience: Three years ago I came there for the first time. I was charged, for membership 20 Pounds in cash by a girl from staff. She said I'll get a barcode at my next visit. Two days later a different staff member said that I couldn't pay in cash because they accept only direct debit. I've paid again, using a card this time, gave my details again and described a situation. I've never received my 20 pounds back. I was robbed by a staff member and nobody gave a **. I've never experienced so sad and disgusting behaviour in my life. I didn't know that to do. I've simply decided to forget but unfortunately I can't stop thinking about it. I hope that staff member will read this opinion.

The changing rooms and showers are okay, but looking a little tired now, so could do with some TLC. Can't really fault it for the price.

Negative experience: The place is dark and dingey, also lack of wifi/signal in certain parts of the building which means you struggle to listen to your own music. These and broken water fountains are the main things putting me off going. This gym does have great equipment for people interested in boxing and has great amounts of parking available :) I have found myself working out at home and jogging outdoors rather going to this gym.

Positive experience: Great new gym and. The only down side is thereisnt a sumba or plates or yoga class for the late pm evenings or weekends if you do shift work.
