Rutland Sports Park

Positive experience: Quite a good sports park, but the lift was not working and the Men's toilet/changing room/shower room needs proper ventilation. Smells a bit! Otherwise, reasonable facilities.

Negative experience: It was good for my first year in fitness but you will need something more professional it's not the best

Fantastic experience: It's great place and the staff are very friendly and helpful there is all the equipment you could need.

Positive experience: Took.my 5 year old to a birthday party in the Tennis Court building, set up with a very large bouncy castle so the nutters could run around fighting and constantly complaining and crying that they had been hit by another child, bruises and thick lips all round, oh what fun! They had fun though....

Fantastic experience: We had a party for my sons 2nd birthday on the 8th October 2023, we had originally booked the bouncy castle, soft play and football nets, but was then offered the new animal Olympic castle and soft play set as this was up and running for use! When we got there, everything was set up ready for us, the bouncy castle and tables was set out for buffet and children. I did require more tables due to the amount of food we had and they went and got us more without one complain. The lady who oversees the party was lovely, very helpful and happy, helped us set up where needed so we was ready on-time. They also allowed us to use their speaker for music during the party. The bouncy castle itself was big, we had 12 children at the party ages 9 months to 5 years, and there was more than enough room for them all and more if required. There was soft play section within the bouncing area with air jugglers, Velcro jigsaw, and more, was perfect for our under 1’s to have a play out of the way for the older children. The children soon learned what the air jugglers did and used the balloons we took to give themselves extra entertainment! This is where all majority of the guest was also able to sit and watch their children happily play! It also helped to keep the children in one area of the sports hall and able to ensure they didn’t try and leave the area! Overall we had a wonderful party, it was perfect for the variety of ages we had, all the children and guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we will book again for his next party!

Positive experience: Took the children for a birthday party here. Indoor plenty for the to do including bouncy castle. Reasonably priced just not the best signposted with there being 3 buildings spaced apart on which one to go to.

Positive experience: Great staff, and a decent venue although the lay out cud b a little different, then what it looks like now, there's a wide choice of machines but some of the machines are in a definate state of some tlc maintenance,squeaky an rattling, but other then that its a nice place to go to workout .

Positive experience: They were running a trial for fitness classes. Held in the main indoor sports area and had to compete with loud martial arts instructor in same room. That said body balance class was brilliant

Positive experience: As a leisure centre facilities go, this is deffiently among the better ones I have experienced. Safety: Gym / cardio equipment is well spread out to allow for distancing and all visitors can grab there own spray bottles and wipes from the entrance. Kit: reasonable Verity band selection of kit with little duplication, some squeeky bits that sound like maintenance could be due. Price: with access to this facility and others in the group the price of just under £30 is well within reason and day rates competitive. Only real let down is the 8pm closing time which limits the public availability of the running track as well as making it a difficult place for shift worker's

Positive experience: Used to be the best place in the area to do children parties. Was always booked up and kids had a great time. Stopped over COVID but never restarted, seems very strange

Positive experience: Staff friendly and approachable, listen to any issues and usually have them sorted for my next visit. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the lack of upright bikes.

Negative experience: Wanted to book a game of tennis.... but spent the last 2 weeks trying to speak to someone.... Shouldn't be so hard as a member.

Negative experience: This is a shame the facilities are ok but the communication is dreadful. The app just dose not work at all and when you try to ring to cancel they either don't answer the phone or hang it up straight away. Because of this I am cancelling my membership

Fantastic experience: A very nice friendly place to visit, have fun with the athletics area, play football, hockey on the Astro pitches and run until your heart is content. Come along and have a tour of the gym and meat the dedicated gym team who will get your fitness back on track.

Positive experience: Rutland sports park has everything from gym and group classes to astroturf pitches and a running track. They are great with kids too too doing teen memberships and supervised sessions for them. I love the track it's a great place for novice runners and good runners. It loses a star cause the pitches for football are not in the best of condition and there's no pool (members can use the pools at other sites though)

Fantastic experience: Came here for a military style athletics exercise session. Used the track and the massive concrete steps to one side of the field. The facilities looked really good, there was a member of staff at the reception desk at 8am on a Sat morning, vending machine, clean toilets, plenty of parking - fab.

Negative experience: , used to be good before taken over by different company... was going to charge £7.25 for just 1 half hour gym session , when used to be just over £2 last year wont be coming again or recommending to anyone ... will be going to a better different local gym instead .

Positive experience: Agp surface better but still could be improved good training venue and Jan the manager is superb

Fantastic experience: Love the gym here, the staff are awesome, the trainers very supportive. Got to know loads of other members. Plenty of parking, changing rooms, lockers, showers, loos, a huge variety of exercise machines, suitable for virtually any ability. There is also a lift, disabled access, water machine, vending machines, free weights, running track, tennis and badminton courts, football courts and loads more.... Easier to pop along, its always ckean and presentable, everything seems to be maintained properly. So whats not to love lol.
