Xercise4Less Stockton (North) Gym

Positive experience: Good gym with a good mix of people of all types of level of fitness. Made to feel welcome when I first came. Been going a year now and still enjoy it. Looking forward to the upgrade to jd gyms

Fantastic experience: A lot of equipment for price

Positive experience: Really good gym for the price but in the women's only section, it would be nice to have a lat machine for exercising your back and arms. There's mainly only legs. And I find it quite uncomfortable going to the lat machines right next to where a lot of men work out.

Positive experience: Clean spacious changing facilities with lockers (bring your own padlock but it's not really needed), toilets and showers. Main gym area and female gym area.

Fantastic experience: Been a member of many different gyms over the years, however I can honestly say the overall customer service I have received from Xercise4Less Stockton is above to what I expected. From the start of my membership the AGM (Geordie girl, apologies forgot your name) was a true pro, courteous and super helpful. Carl goes above and beyond, always helpful and polite, never stops! Seriously not all gym staff offer exceptional customer service like you guys so cheers!

Positive experience: Cheap, accommodating and friendly staff. The gym does get busy and due to its size, it feels busy at times. Always warm due to it being above Tesco, but other than that, great.

Fantastic experience: Good quality gym went there a few times on a evening. The staff are friendly especially one young lady when she requested I removed my bag from the gym floor. This isn't negative feedback she was very professional , respectful and friendly. Would recommend this gym for all kinds of fitness level

Fantastic experience: Great gym for the cost, only reason I had to leave was due to a serious injury I was carrying but would recommend, has all the equipment you need plus classes & the extra options of a PT, physio appointments were available when I was a member too, there are separate male/female locker rooms with showers, I would suggest taking a lock for the locker you use so you know your belongings are tucked away safe, opening times were good and they have offers o dependi g on what you need.

Positive experience: The gym could do with slightly more equipment especially during peak time, my biggest gripe is that lots of the members use the family parking with absolutely no repercussions from E4L or Tesco

Positive experience: Clean and tidy gym with endless amount of machines and a decent free weight area that's spacious. Not much in the way of functional training. Made the most of a free pass, think if a investment was made in the functional training side of things this would be a great gym.

Fantastic experience: Can't really complain for the price. I go first thing on a morning and it's quiet so no waiting around for equipment. I have been after work before and it's always been too busy. Staff are friendly and I've had no issues here.

Fantastic experience: This is an experience not to be missed if like me you have a busy lifestyle and work varying hours. It's a nice well laid out gym. It's not pretentious and does exactly what it says on the label. It's not overly priced and the equipment is well maintained and if you can avoid the obvious peak times there is no hanging around waiting. It's a very convenient experience and I'd happily recommend it to anyone. The staff are very friendly and helpful so overall it ticks all the boxes for me.

Positive experience: The facilities are very good and mostly always have access to the equipment you want to use. It could do with addition free weight bench space though because it becomes quite packed over there. The new thumb print turnstile scanners always seem to be having issues. Can't knock it for the price though.

Fantastic experience: I have just joined this gym. Maybe because I'm from Kent but the membership fee is so cheap. The staff have been very friendly and helpfull. The whole place is spotless. So many machines to chose from I haven't waited for any yet. That's a big plus for me. Toilets and showers are is spotless and works well. Just one very minor negative.. might sound silly to others but seeing how nice the place looks the entrance from the ground floor to reception seem a bit drab. My first impression when entering I thought it was going to be a bit run down.

Positive experience: My membership was from 2016-2019.Good cheap gym with free classes. If you love your cardio then you're gonna have a treat as well. But there's only one flat bench and only one squat rack which is one of those non-adjustable ones. The dumbells go up to just 40kg. I like the lighting and the mirrors as well though. Always spotless whenever I come in which is very good. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Very clean, tidy & spacious gym to suit everyone from the beginer to the advanced serious trainer. Along with the low cost monthly fee it's hard to comment on anything negative.

Fantastic experience: For a Tenner a month, plus been able to use any X4L in country (except probably & understandably those in London area) you really cannot go wrong. As far as I'm aware, all classes are included in that, too. Staff are friendly, good selection of equipment, place is kept clean & tidy. Your only going to get out of it, what you put in though...

Negative experience: Ignore the 1 star rating, the gym doesn't even deserve that! If you're looking for a decent gym then this isn't the one for you. The customer service (or lack of) is absolutely shocking. Me and my girlfriend both have memberships here and I have never missed a payment for neither. The company that takes care of their payment collections passed our accounts to their debt collection team back in September 2016 (6 months ago) in error. Xercise4less barred us from attending the gym for being behind on payments. After numerous calls to the gym and the debt collection company who proved I wasn't in debt we where still refused entry to the gym, I even provided proof to the gym with bank statements etc and still refused. Not one of the staff at the gym seemed to take control of the issue but still reiterated that we are banned. I don't know what training they get but they don't seem to have any control over anything in there and quite frankly don't have a clue as to how to handle customer complaints and issues. I definitely do not recommend this gym to anyone.
