Negative experience: Christmas party Rat pack singer was excellent Food was good Service was excellent Dance floor not big enough DJ started off well but last couple of hours wasn’t good - it’s supposed to be a Christmas party but didn’t play a lot and seemed to be aimed at teenagers

Fantastic experience: The Sunday carvery is lovely but can be very busy, staff friendly and the location and views amazing perfect for a wedding venue

Positive experience: If you can't drive, finding or getting to this place will be a challenge. The area/location is nice, just beyond the village of Leeds (no name connection to the larger, northern Leeds), but it's quite remote. The rooms were nice but our air conditioning/heating unit didn't work, and the walls were quite thin.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful experience,, no complaints at all. 4 stars for location only because of the poor bus routes. If you are arriving at the train station late it's best to pre book a taxi as there is no / little uber service in the area. We were lucky to get one of the last taxies working from the station taxi office.

Positive experience: We went for a quick 9 holes and supper from the bar menu. The course is well kept with attention paid to drainage. There is something for everyone on the menu.

Negative experience: Just went and had a meal at the golf course been there many times before. However today the experience and service was shocking. We normally go in open a tab eat and drink pay our bill and leave today we was told we can’t do that, we paid for drinks and then paid for food. However having the belly pork I was looking forward until it arrived. 1 piece of belly pork looked good however the top was poor 1 piece of lettuce and a spoonful of sweetcorn all that for £18 we also ordered two pizzas they came with burnt bottoms. At no time did any staff come and ask how was our meal all they did was stand all together chatting. To the manager you need to eat the food that your chef today sent out. Very poor today and may never return?

Positive experience: Nice course, very open and relatively flat. Attractive course to play just don’t play it at the weekends. Round so slow because loads of beginners which just makes playing golf boring and dangerous when they nearly hit you with their rubbish shots. Avoid at weekends

Fantastic experience: We had our wedding there in November 2023. And everything was so organised. Our day was made extra special with all the effort from the staff, they created a magical atmosphere that we visioned and more. They were so helpful, and the rooms were spotless. They really put themselves out to make sure your day is rememberable.

Positive experience: Rooms are very cramped. Bathrooms are designed for Ronnie Corbett. Shame as golf course is excellent. Food menu for golf trips is limited but what served not too bad Breakfast not bad but lacking fruit... Staff brilliant and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: Didn’t use the hotel so I can leave a review But on Thursday the 8th February we had a society match unfortunately it rained all day So the course had a trolley ban I di not take my carry bag and was not looking forward to carrying my cart bag round 18 holes I went to the pro shop and asked if they hired bags out , they didn’t but the kind gentleman behind the counter let me use a old carry bag he had which worked a treat and saved my day The course was in lovely condition so well looked after All the staff were very helpful and polite Food was lovely as well We are definitely going back in the summer going to be a treat Keep up the good work Weald of Kent golf club

Positive experience: They serve a very tasty 4 course Sunday lunch. You get waited on for starter, dessert, cheese and biscuits and drinks. You are invited up table by table to visit the delicious Carver. There's a variety of meats on offer with all the trimmings. Sunday lunch is available to the public, no need to be a golfer or a hotel guest.

Fantastic experience: A lovely room, spotlessly clean, great quality bedding, lovely bed & spacious. Really hot water had a lovely relaxing bath after my late arrival. Was met by the security guard who was very welcoming & had my key card ready straight away & my room was the first one on entering the hotel.

Fantastic experience: My Neice had her Wedding here on 2nd November 2023 such an amazing day the whole day was Beautiful, the staff were helpful and very friendly, I stayed over my room was comfortable and warm until i woke up after kicking the duvet off but soon got warm and went straight back to sleep, it was very clean, The whole day was amazing I slept very well and breakfast was lovely I forgot to ask where the Sausages came from as these were tasty plump and large x I would highly recommend for a wedding, overnight stay with breakfast or for a nice meal looking out over the golf course and Lake with many fish and ducks, the Wine was very nice and at a very good price, I Would very highly recommend x

Positive experience: Rooms are smaller than travel lodge ones. Once you flush the toilet it keep dripping till it fet filled. It was like chinese torture.

Fantastic experience: I Recently got married at the Weald of kent and they made my special day amazing. We used it for the reception and after party and staff were amazing and thank you Liz for looking after us and organising it. Venue was nice and big and beautiful, they took care of so much and had nothing to worry about on the day. The food was also amazing. The disco for afterwards was so much and fun and I cant wait to see the picture taken on their grounds. The Bridal suite was nice and big, lovely big bath and walk in shower and bed was really comfortable.

Negative experience: PLEASE BE AWARE WHEN BOOKING HERE THAT THEY HOST BLOODSPORT EVENINGS - WHERE YOU WILL FIND REGULAR FOX HUNTERS, HARE HUNTERS AND BADGER BAITERS. BOOK HERE IF YOU WANT INNOCENT ANIMALS BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS............................

Fantastic experience: Terrific golf day event here. Can not recommend highly enough. The golf team are excellent helping to manage 26 teams on 18 holes. Everything went so smoothly. Our golfers enjoyed the course very much, with lovely views, pine trees, and lakes. The food was good quality, and all the staff proactive and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: Amazing value! Super clean rooms, really lovely staff. We got a little lost as it was quite dark when we arrived but a quick call and they directed us to the right spot. The receptionist was so nice and moved our room a bit closer and gave us advice on how to get to the big cat sanctuary. Breakfast in the morning was hot, tasty and the staff again lovely. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I didn't play golf, but I had a great carvery around Easter time. It is very fancy there and I will come again. They had all sorts of food from a roast dinner (my favourite was the Yorkshire pudding), it was amazing. It would be good if it was open between Christmas and New years.

Fantastic experience: Stayed here a few times whilst working away. Clean well equipped rooms, good bar with plenty of different beers on, really nice food, loads of space for parking big vans. Can't complain at all!

Positive experience: I had a simple but comfy ground floor, twin room. It seemed like the room needed warming up and airing/drying out. I found the bathroom extractor shut off too soon, so I left it on longer to help get air through the room. The aircon was also easier to set to cool than heat, which meant I just settled for opening the window to control the temperature. Breakfast and afternoon club sandwich were both good value and filling.

Positive experience: Room was basic but clean and tidy, hotel receptionist was really, really helpful and knowledgeable (and overworked!!). Food was average, gym facilities were good. Overall reasonable value for money.

Positive experience: Lovely place, nice course, has a gym and also golf shop. Food was really nice, I had Slow roasted pork belly. But they also do takeaway and I had a stone baked pizza which was really good. The photos are of the superior double room which was located closer to the main complex. The standard room is smaller and is in another building located a little further away.

Fantastic experience: 11 months ago, we had our wedding here. In the lead up to the wedding, we went for lunches and dinners and every time, the food was amazing, the service was amazing and the staff world class. Even staff not involved in the wedding went out of their way to do everything they could for us. The day of the wedding? Well, not once did I have to worry. Mel was FABULOUS. I was stressed due to late bridesmaids and hairdresser, so she took my daughter out to the pond to see the ducks to give me some much needed quiet time. She took any stresses away and solved them. The way she got the wedding party organised to walk down the aisle and have my three year old listening to her is nothing short of a miracle. We had last minute guest changes and the whole staff, including the brilliant chefs, were so accommodating and in my opinion, did extra. The food was exquisite. Not one complaint - apart from the fact my dress suddenly got tighter because I could not stop eating that delicious food. Fast forward to today when I emailed to book our one year anniversary there. The email we got, basically showing they remembered us goes to show how invested in their guests they are. They care. I’m so excited to go back and my only complaint is that I wish they could have made the wedding last longer because it went by far too fast and it truly was a spectacular day which Liz, Mel and the rest of the team did for us. The staff in charge of gold were phenomenal - I booked my husband and his best men a round of golf before the ceremony & the staff in the pro-shop were kind and went above and beyond with my gift to my husband. Thank you to everyone there. I keep singing your praises and I am so glad we chose your venue! I don’t think anyone else could have helped us pull off our visions as well as you guys did!

Positive experience: We went for Sunday lunch with friends. Staff were friendly, locatoon is pretty, food was nice and the tables were spaced out well so not too stuffy. The only slight negative is it was difficult to get the bill / pay because staff were busy clearing away.

Negative experience: We came back to the Weald for a Sunday lunch as we were impressed grom a previous visit. We got charged £5 for a member of our group having to cancel last minute due to heart aorta issues! Suffice to say, we won't be back!!

Positive experience: Can't rate rooms as I never stayed. Wedding however seemed a little unorganised. We had service, then were ushered to a smaller space for drinks. They then moved chairs and tables for reception in same room as service. Food was ok. Staff seemed very stressed and kept taking plates with food from tables which was pretty annoying.

Positive experience: Went for Christmas lunch with the whole family, had a great time. The staff were great and very helpful, the vegetables however were very disappointing, and no mulled wine available!

Positive experience: My wife had her Christmas party here , she said it well organised but staff not very friendly and had items missing from the dinner courses (no toast with the patsy)

Negative experience: The food wasn't very good Brussels were not cooked along witht the carrots turkey was dry beef was fatty potatoes were hard and the cranberry sauce arrived half way through the meal not impressed they were informed politely but nothing was done

Positive experience: Every thing was good if you enjoy a traditional roast lunch. We were 14 in our family group, of which a 3rd were vegetarians. It would have been nice to have been offered a nut roast or a veggie tart. The only vegetarian option was a very singed slice of cauliflower of which was not cooked and not edible due to being burnt. Everyone left it which was such a waste. Apart from this, everyone and everything else was delightful.

Negative experience: This venue supports illegal hunting and is hosting the Ashford Valley Tickham fox hunt, hunt ball. Avoid if you like animals.

Positive experience: Nice enough course . Shame the halfway hut was closed after we did the front 9 . . .which was about 1330!

Fantastic experience: Golf course beautiful setting to relax in the restaurant. Regular meet for us 3 sisters for breakfast. Good choice for breakfast menu including vegetarian options. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothings too much trouble. We meet for breakfast and end up never leaving until lunchtime! Plenty of parking.

Positive experience: Sunday carvery was ok, we cook better at home so won't be returning. Service also was ok, there were a lot of staff but we still had to chase drinks. Good bits about the food was the meat, veg and Yorkshire puddings. The bad was the roast potatoes, sloppy swede/carrot mash and watery gravy in particular. If you can't cook a good roast at home then this will be perfectly adequate.

Fantastic experience: Met a with my mate for breakfast and a catch up. Breakfast was good, staff very efficient and polite. Great watching the incoming golfers from the large terrace.

Positive experience: We stayed in a standard room, a separate building from the main building and it's very basic room. The room looks like it's time for refresh, the curtains looks like it seen better days. We had dinner in the main building. The carpet at the entrance was worn, lobby was dark and not inviting; nevertheless, the food was o.k, the staff was friendly and helpful. The outdoor seating faces the golf course. Parking available both building.

Fantastic experience: Went for Sunday lunch again. This time everything was absolutely perfect from the moment we came in. The service was very friendly and so extremely well organised. The food was superb and they were generous with the meat. Vegetables not overcooked. Another great experience. Sunday carvery. Good food, good service (Tyler somewhat nervous but she's very friendly and tried very hard to be an excellent waitress), lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Bar staff a bit slow but, because it's all so laid-back, nobody seemed to care. We didn't anyway.

Fantastic experience: Lovely course. Nice layout of the holes. Well maintained. Greens are nice. Didn't eat or drink there, I could see and smell that it was good, but didn't know the prices so not sure on value. There is a half way hut that looked good. I would highly recommend going there.

Fantastic experience: Society day at the Weald. Nice full English to start with. We had a starter to tee us off. Course in very good condition greens receptive and decent to putt on. Bunkers decent sand and tough if your in them. Shot -1 playing playing off 15. Good choice beers on return to clubhouse which was most welcome on very hot day.

Fantastic experience: The food was far better than I expected for a golf course, the people were friendly and very well priced. One of those places once you have been you will keep going back for more.

Positive experience: It's an ok place. If you like golf! That's about it. Oh and also, if you have a family room there is no wheelchair or walking frame access unless someone holds doors open for you. This place is not disabled or elderly friendly.

Fantastic experience: It was my daughter's wedding. The staff are brilliant, especially Mel, above and beyond. The food was amazing. Not one decenting word. The hotel and grounds are immaculate. I have no photos because the day was such a success, everyone was in the moment and not viewing it through a lens. Would throughly recommend Weald of Kent for any occasion.

Fantastic experience: Small 8 society day. First time at this course. Good parking area lots of room. If you like a breakfast before their full English is fantastic. Good facilities for food and drink. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Easy to get started minimum fuss signing in and we were away on our appointed tee times. Really enjoyed the course and it was in good condition all round. It has a hotel attached so now looking to maybe have a couple of rounds with night stop as well. I will definitely be going here again. Well done all at the Weald and many thanks for a great day out.

Positive experience: Course was in nice condition in May 2022 but the greens were rock solid and didn't hold the ball at all. Tees and fairways nice. Course is tricky in places with blind tee shots and plenty of elevation change. Slow round on a Sunday. 5 hours. Even with a Marshall driving about.

Fantastic experience: The downhill drives toward the clubhouse are perfect for hitting bombs. Even the most modest driver of the ball can feel like a hero on those holes. The course and greens were in excellent condition and the bulk of the rough had been cut short. The fairways were firm and easy to strike long. The greens were fast but very well maintained. The only downside were that some tees were very soft which can punish those of us who only tee up for their driver.

Negative experience: Greens were terrible, sand bunkers had rocks in, just what you need with new vokeys No where to hit a driver for warm up, practice nets only allow 6 iron, putting green is the best green on the course £75 for a two ball, slow play poor marshaling

Fantastic experience: Excellent lovely stay. Beautiful part of the country Staff very wecoming. Room have lovely views. Our room the mirror in the bathroom was a little tired and some things were a little dusty but on a whole the room was warm and the beds were super comfy. The food was fabulous and not badly priced. Drinks were more on the pricey side. We had bed and breakfast and the breakfast was really 5 star great choices very hot food, the staff couldn't do enough for you. All in all a great stay thankyou Weald of kent golf course and hotel.

Fantastic experience: Stayed 1 night and played golf for my sons birthday. The staff in the pro shop so friendly and very informative. All the staff in the hotel and bar amazing service thank you. The course was in great condition considering the Time of year. Had the chance to chat to one of the greenkeppers, keep up the good work. Will be coming back in the very near future.

Positive experience: Only stopped in for a quick bite to eat, clubhouse was clean, staff friendly & welcoming. Didn't use course but believed it was quite muddy & wet, but looking beyond that i would definitely have a round or 2 here.
