Positive experience: Terrible company. Below average equipment. Great staff. The gym is large, with a below average quality of equipment (however there is pleanty of it). Memberships are run by a financial management company which is exactly as useless and money grabbing as you would expect. Signed up in part to use the sauna, they turned it off in covid which is reasonable but then kept it off sighting energy bills as the reason (this was two years ago now and it’s still off). When I ask they dodged the question but the bottom line is they failed to provide a service they advertise to provide. The staff are great, helpful and friendly

Negative experience: Be aware of the late payment admini charge, they charge you 25 pounds extra if u are late to a payment which is more than my student membership . Never was I told of such charges, and never in my life have I been charged for that. Even though they charged me on completely different dates and except me to pay on time. And if u phone then, they will tell you to go read the terms and conditions.

Negative experience: Unfortunately when you sign for this gym you don’t sign a contract with locals but with a financial services company who ties you in knots to pay whatever hidden fees they want you to pay. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you don’t want to be ripped off. You cannot cancel without paying HUGE fees.

Positive experience: The staff are great and very helpful

Fantastic experience: Never been to this gym but use Simply Gym Cwmbran. Spoke with Dee this morning as my local Simply Gym wasn't open on time. Dee's customer service this morning was commendable. She was empathetic and kept me informed and updated. Thank you Dee :)

Positive experience: Lots of equipment, cleaning products available to wipe down machines before/after use and friendly staff. Classes are good. It's gets ridiculously hot in the summer as there is no air con. Edit to add: Music is too loud - can't hear my own music even with the volume on max.

Fantastic experience: Was in Cardiff for couple days and got a day pass for only £7. Gym was spot on and staff member I dealt with was very helpful. Good range of equipment aswell. Will use again if I was ever down in Cardiff again

Fantastic experience: Really fantastic gym. Big space with plenty of equipment, clean changing rooms, and very friendly staff. I've had to cancel my membership as I'm moving but I've really enjoyed using this gym and would highly recommend it. The cancellation process was easy as well.

Fantastic experience: Visited on a day pass whilst visiting Cardiff. Great facilities, a lovely big gym and was not too busy so no waiting for equipment. Friendly lady on front desk helped us check in. Will definitely come back whenever visiting family in Cardiff. Oh, day pass reasonably priced at £7 too.

Fantastic experience: Came for a spin instructor's course so didnt actually use the gym, but it looked amazing with everything you'd want in there... Functional area, free weights, resistance machines, synergy rig, good clean changing rooms etc etc. Receptionist was very friendly too.

Positive experience: The staff here are great. Friendly and helpful. The equipment as far as free weights goes is also really good. The machines however are limited and outdated and there is not enough variance.

Fantastic experience: Really big place, loads of equipment, even in peak times. Great class timetable too, I love going along to body pump and spin. The changing rooms, showers and toilets are always clean and tidy, with plenty of space, and they even have a sauna and a lady's weights room! Very glad I joined this gym.

Negative experience: Great gym, classes and staff, however, it seems they only let you in once a day? Seems a bit odd as it should be unlimited

Positive experience: The music in here is agony, a mix of pop and weird EDM jazz. I wish they did have a better playlist to motivate and be less “commercial”. However it is an excellent gym wish they had a dedicated bench press set up especially in the pit. Would be useful for the powerlifting community in the gym. the mobile benches are too thin. Barr that good value for money and awesome and helpful staff.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with everything you need for all styles of training.

Fantastic experience: Plenty of stations and equipment is still available despite some not in use to allow social distancing. They are managing the covid situation perfectly and plenty of cleaning stations for self use. I've never seen any members flaunting the rules either, everyone cleans equipment properly after use.

Negative experience: During this trying time, they've not been helpful, the membership is managed by Harlands Group (google them) and see the reviews for yourself.

Negative experience: The gym is good and staff are friendly although if you need to freeze your membership (Due the covid) it is a complete nightmare. They are managed by Harlands and they are absolutely awful. Didnt find any help from the Simple gym team as they don't pick the phone.

Fantastic experience: I thoroughly enjoy visiting simply gym, I regularly attend the gym making the most weight section, and use of the synergy rig! I always feel welcomed by the lady at reception called Dee when ever I attend.

Negative experience: Today I visited for the 3rd time in seven days. It was minus 2 degrees and 7am when I arrived. I got to the changing rooms they have lovely big radiators positioned all around not one was on. It was cold. Then I went to use the showers, when I arrived I asked a fellow gym user was that warm. He said yes. By the time I got in there at 8:15 they were not quite cold but luke warm , three times in a row this has now happened with a week to sort it out. Im not sure if the gym has some master plan to freeze a few extra calories off us or not. I know we're working out, the air con I spot on in the summer, but winter it's artic in there. Id like to add I travel all over the country doing freelance work. I have been a member of The Gym and Pure Gym. Never have I thought I was cold. Sort it out Simply Gym!!!!!

Positive experience: Great gym with very top notch equipment. The cardio machines have screens to watch Netflix and YouTube etc on. Plently of fitness classes. Staff are helpful. And the steam room is a nice touch. There's also a Starbucks counter where protein shakes are available too. They could benefit from being open later though as they shut at 10pm and earlier on weekends. I have been tempted towards a 24 hour gym because I don't like time limitations. Other than that, an awesome gym.

Negative experience: From start to finish I’ve had a problem with this gym. They do not regulate their PT’s and when we even had to chase our PT for a refund (because he was asked to leave the gym due to lack of rent payments to the company, but still lead us on saying he was due to return) we were told there was nothing they could do. So I had to chase him for a refund on multiple occasions - a month later I managed to get it. I was also given the wrong number to cancel, which when I finally got the right number, I was told I only need to cancel the direct debit with my bank. Also upon cancelling and complained about the PT situation, the lady on the desk told me “they don’t really know who’s good or not” what an absolute appalling experience. Cheap for a reason.

Fantastic experience: Clean and modern gym with an abundance of free (up to 6 hours) parking spaces available. It gets busy from 5pm onwards during weekdays.

Positive experience: Well equipped modern gym opened in September 2018, plenty of parking. Busy at 18:00 on a Monday but most decent gyms are. Despite being busy the staff were helpful to a casual visitor. On-site coffee bar selling assorted healthy snacks. Plenty of machines for cardio and weights, with a separate area for fans of free weights. Clean changing rooms and lockers. Only caveat was the all too energetic background music which easily overwhelmed my personal choice on my headphones. I also saw a personal trainer having to yell to be heard. Nevertheless it was a real pleasure to visit and I would go again and again.

Fantastic experience: fantastic. So friendly and helpful. I'm a pensioner and felt embarrassed at first but they soon had me relaxed. I was shown around and now have joining this gwm. looking forward to my 1st visit.

Negative experience: I canceled my memberdhip 2 months ago due to had a problem with. Your gym I was told that this would be sorted out I was given a number of calls saying I will have a refund and the contract will be terminated I have now received a letter starting I owe more money why was I lied to and why hasn't this been sorted what a joke of a gym seriously taking this to Wales online jokers. SIMPLY GYM NOTHING SIMPLE ABOUT THIS GYM, HAD TO PAY £48 FOR PARKING ON MY SECCOND GYM SESSION THEY ADVERTISE FREE PARKING IT'S A LIE AND WHEN I ASKED THE STAFF TO RECTIFY THIS THEY GPT ASSEY AND AGGRESIVE LACK OF EQUIPMENT THERE AND STAFF DON'T HAVE A CLUE NOT ONE PERSON IN SHAPE THERE THEY OFFER FREE PT TRAININING PROGAME ME BETTER OF GETTING ONE OF GOOGLE

Fantastic experience: Awesome gym with a lot of equipment and half the price of its competitor around the corner . The PTs know what they are talking about and will always help if you ask. Free parking is also a bonus.

Fantastic experience: Quality gym. Way more racks than anywhere else. Nice atmosphere and great equipment. Never over crowded. Great value.

Fantastic experience: They have everything you need and not busy at 8-9 on a Friday. Bargain price for one day pass and easy to buy online and access with code. Would come back to Cardiff just for this gym
