Fantastic experience: The building has been sympathetically restored with a welcoming foyer and cafe. The changing rooms include a spa area. Both swimming pools are clean and well maintained.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this gym. As part of my membership, I love to come here to swim. Particularly in the heritage pool. The architects have done a wonderful job in restoring the building’s historical features and there is a heritage exhibition part which you can also visit. As a gym, it’s great too. The only thing I would like would be more pilates classes at better times to suit 9-5 workers!

Fantastic experience: Excellent Guide in Sam Guthrie for our visit for a one hour most informative tour covering the social history of 130 years of this still used community facility its restoration and its heritage. On our tour one returning visitor retold his memories as a child using the baths. Terry, the co-Tour Guide also covers George Best House. Terry see you next time we are over! Gerry, we thank you for your recommendation to visit Queens film theatre to see Kneecap. The staff from East Belfast Heritage were all friendly helpful and engaging and like all good baths we enjoyed the cafe too.

Fantastic experience: Called in today for a coffee with my 88 year old father who used to live nearby and was last in the "baths" 75 years ago. I spoke to the visitor guide Gerry who very kindly showed my Dad and family around. A patient, generous and engaging man who made the trip an absolutely fantastic experience. I would throughly recommend a visit for either local Belfast folk interested in social history or tourists. Whoever recruited Gerry you have got the right man for the job.

Negative experience: Third time I've brought my child down when it states on the website the pool is open for a swim for all. Third time the information has been wrong and we have been denied access to the pool. Instead of being understanding the receptionist told me that I should be looking on the app because it has the most up to date timetables. As if it's my fault that they are posting incorrect info on their website. Won't be back.

Fantastic experience: I love attending the swimming pool here. The steam room and sauna are always a welcomed treat post swim. Both users and staff are super friendly. Additional events held at the venue are always professional and enjoyable. Highlight was meeting Eric Bell of Thin Lizzy fame and living legend if East Belfast

Fantastic experience: Very nice facility to Belfast people, you can take membership for yourself and family members and enjoy the facilities like gym, swimming pool, yoga classes etc. There are weekly and daily batches at different timings. Refer to their website for more details.

Positive experience: The changing facilties leave a lot to be desired if you want any sort of privacy . Things that break down take months to fix. The staff are all lovely and pools and gym great facilities for the community , just let down some by the changing area

Positive experience: Kids swim here and the lessons are very good. The better gym staff are welcoming too. The changing areas are not always the cleaners but that I think is down to gym users not using bins that are available. Main reason fro dropping a star is the fact the cafe was not open past 6pm often and now has closed. Appreciate that Better sub lease this area but that needs to be done more effectively and they are still accountable for providing some facilities in their building. Best of luck finding a new cafe operator to make this venue a 5 star.

Positive experience: I love the pool we go as a family only gave 4 stars as my little one shivers a lot in the pool it can seem cold sometimes. The group changing rooms always seem to be locked we are a family of 5 1 toddler and a special needs child. only 2 family changing rooms which at family fun ect are usually being used by groups of teenagers. Would prefer at least the option of a proper shower to get washed in and maybe some adult only swim times that aren’t lane swimming as I’m a really slow swimmer and feel too much pressure when people are behind me. Staff are all lovely and friendly thou!

Fantastic experience: Love templemore baths, the refurb has been done with such attention to detail and kept the spirit of the old baths alive. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Clean changing rooms and toilets and great pool. Family changing rooms available and we loved the cafe when it was open but it seems to be closed at present.

Negative experience: Spa area is awful too small and wasted space in the middle of the spa area people just sitting around on the floor. Needs more work done. Way too over subscribed makes for a stressful experience and environment of obnoxious men talking loud which is the opposite of a relaxing experience.

Positive experience: I will speak on the gym instead of the swimming pool as I haven’t been there yet but if you want to go to the gym here don’t’ it’s really small not a lot of machines here although they have newer technogym machines. A lot of cardio machines for only god knows why . If you’re a gym goer I would not recommend this gym just go to connswater gym instead

Brings a past era back to life. But even better than the facility and displays was our Tour Guide Terry who gave us lots of time and the benefit of his considerable local knowledge. As I said "a Gem"

Negative experience: I would give this centre 5 stars as it's largely wonderful, except for one glaringly obvious problem. The sauna. A relaxing experience is sadly stressful. The extremely limited opening times are perhaps the reason for this. Rushing to get to the gym, rushing a workout/swim in order to fit around sauna opening times, is a hidden stress before entering the sauna (if you're lucky) which seems constantly oversubscribed. The centre has 2 excellent large pools heated to 29C, but a tiny sauna is switched off 5 hours per day plus mornings at the weekend. This makes absolutely no logical sense and frankly removes the cherry from an otherwise excellent cake!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic renovation that has kept the feel of the old building. Great facilities that are very well maintained. Credit to the staff. Great coffee in the Cafe also!

Negative experience: Good gym and pool bt some of the staff very unfriendly and rude seem to use the place as their own playground always hanging about changing rooms and toilets chatting and have heard them discussing customers in an unpleasant way on more than one ocassion

Negative experience: Rude staff member at reception. Sauna and steam room full with people waiting outside in line. Hygiene is below zero!

Positive experience: If I’m not wrong, this one will be the only Better gym with sauna for free in Belfast. I wanted to give 4.5 star but Google let me give just a sharp score. Overall, a lovely place for swim, sauna and gym. a little tight space but it works. If you want to try their sauna, try it on Sunday or not Monday night. Just so many people for a tiny sauna. It’s a basic sauna so you’ll have a steaming room and traditional dry sauna (i.e not infrared one) and 4 seats outside. We have to bring everything you’d need to go to a sauna - towers, slippers and etc. I’ve been trying there for 4 weeks now. So I can confirm the sauna is neither cold nor unfunctionable. if you’re a Better gym member, you just need to book for a place via their app. No extra fee for sauna.

Negative experience: Not for kids. Children were not allowed to 'play' in the pool. Whistle seems to be the only available form of communication.

Fantastic experience: Decided to pay a visit to see the restoration of this Victorian public bath and pool. We were given a most informative tour by Ciara and were very impressed by the conservation work and the historical interpretation display. A really great addition to Befast's visitor attractions. in addition the cafe was excellent.

Fantastic experience: All in one Pools, steam room and sauna. The gym is not so big, but is having the latest tehnogym machines ! Friendly staff , very clean gym and spa ! Looker rooms using coin, so make sure you have a pound ! Coffee shop on the left-hand side when you walk in the building ! It's a nice place to spend 1-2 hrs , I love it !

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic guided tour of the Templemore Baths Museum yesterday and our tour guide was Sam. Loved every minute of it! Sam was so engaging, knowledgeable and clearly so passionate about his job. The Bath Museum has been refurbished to its former glory with many excellent interactive exhibits. Sam also took time to listen to my parents and aunt and encouraged them to talk about their own experiences and memories of the former Public Baths. Would highly recommend this tour as an excellent example of walking through the history of Old Belfast. I would also like to add a huge thank you to Sam.

Fantastic experience: What a stunning place! Really great pools and changing facilities. We had preschool swimming lessons and we loved it!

Positive experience: It's a lovely building - they really have done a good job on it. The pool area is lovely, as are all the communal areas - the glass ceiling is particularly nice outside the heritage pool. Some caveats, the car park is small and very busy (we park on the street nearby) and the both pools are quite compact - which means as you now have to book (as I discovered with Lisnasharragh - don't trust the timetable!) it can get booked out close to the time. It's got a nice cafe too and the team who work there seem very friendly. Pro swimmers would probably be better at a larger pool, but for the last minute dippers like myself it's very pleasant.

Positive experience: Cafe is quite expensive and they don't do chips. Just coffee and a bun. Everyone changes together but there is showers in the ladies toilets. There is cubicles and plenty of lockers. You get an arm band and get called out after 50 mins

Negative experience: Lots of wasted space. No abs bench, no barbells, and lots more missing. You have to log on to the machines if you want to use them. There is an option to go as a guest however, its too complicated to adjust my seat and that thing to the front on the rowing (back) machine. There is no tint or blinds on the windows looking down the car park which makes it impossible to face that side. Overall the place isn't too bad considering the low standards of Belfast

Fantastic experience: Really beautiful refurbishment, it's just a shame that the spa facilities are only turned on at the first available time slot, which means they are cold throughout your session. Would also be great to be able to use them throughout the day.

Positive experience: Spa needs a cold plunge or at the very least some cold showers.

Positive experience: Has potential to be 5* 1. Sauna and steam should be open in the mornings or all day and preferably 2. Arrived when it opened 6pm and they had only just turned it on meaning the sauna was cold 3. Gym could do with a hex bar and callisthenics bars Architecture and space is lovely.

I will now be back as offen as possible, and I really enjoyed the relaxing lunch in the cafe afterwards. I also have to say the girls at the desk were very helpful and friendly, 5 stars around

Positive experience: I recently have started swimming at templemore ..what a fantastic new facility and the fact they offer a 2nd swimming pool I'd so great especially on the busy days when u fancy a peaceful swim away from busy weekend swimmers! One thing though is I d like to see more enclosed shower cubicles with doors..as a female I feel a little exposed and privacy is always a great addition n would make my experience even better. A fee bike spaces would be great too. But overall for a,new facility, very clean, spacious and staff are v professional n friendly

Positive experience: Nice and new. Pool looks great. Gym is small but reasonably well equipped, however it has weird machines that you have to log in to use. No quick selection of weight and go, it's log in, select workout type, fiddle with slow motorised seat adjustment, test range of motion. Overly technical which hampers the workout. Sometimes high tech is not necessary. Sauna is small but nice, hot seat things are cool

Negative experience: Smelt badly of poo, pool water was murky and felt furry to swim through. I wasn't permitted to use showers in changing rooms, only if you use gym facilities. I had to use poolside showers.i won't be back.
