Negative experience: I was there while my car was getting serviced and it was 12quid for single. It was steep enough. This gym has a good array of machines particularly if you like weights but has no cleaning spray or paper towels. The mens changing room is very small with one toilet and a bench that if you sit on one end you might the topple it. There is nowhere to full a water bottle either. For hygiene and cleanliness reasons I won't be back.
Hi Stephen , thank you for your comments and I will address here for you , I feel with the men’s changing room you have only been on the first section and there is another shower and toliet when you get through the next section , we would like to have bigger changing facilities and it is in our future plans , a few years ago the rooms where only half the size they are now and there has been a lot spent on this particular area on improving it same as the rest of the gym , we are always reinvesting and putting the money back in to improve , we appreciate you comments and take them all on board , in regards to paper towels and an area to fill up your water bottle we have that all behind reception and you can ask at any stage which most of our members do and we gladly are there to help out , I do know the night previous there was work getting carried out in the gym and the failed to clean up after themselves so please excuse us if it was a little untidy . The Gym is £12 per session and everyone travels from all over the world to use the facilities and are more than happy to pay that for the quality of machines that we have as they cannot be found anywhere else in the country under the same roof . If you feel you had a bad experience, please come in I will meet up with you get u a free session and show u all that we have to offer , just call us at any stage and we will get it all sorted . Negative experience: It’s a good gym, but not run well. I contacted The Gym if I could join for 2 months before I leave the country and they said yes. When it came to me leaving the owner said I couldn’t as it’s a 12 month contract. I told him I’d asked over messenger and he said he would see what he could do and he would ring me in a couple of days. I didn’t receive a phone call. Rang again and he said if I pay him £20 he would get me out of it. Never heard back from him again. I’m now living abroad and I haven’t been getting reply’s to my messages. After 4 months I contacted the company (Ashbourne) The Gym work through and they easily cancelled it for me on relocation grounds. When I move home I’ll be joining Pure Gym Edit regarding response: Firstly I won’t be changing my review as there is nothing in there that isn’t factual. There was no “financial situation” of concern at the time. I simply stated that I didn’t want to pay for a year as I was leaving the country in two months so it would have been redundant to pay for a year when I wouldn’t be using it. If I had signed the wrong contract, I should have been told straight away after I had initially messaged to confirm joining for two months. Regarding me not complying with the cancellation - my sister said that you would be in contact in a couple of days with an answer, you never contacted me and weeks went by with no correspondence. I have screenshots of the ignored messages and an email from Ashbourne cancelling the contract. How can this much time go by when it turned out all I ended up having to do is email the company and tell them I had moved and there was no cancellation fee? Finally, I got the issue resolved but again, I won’t be changing the review.
Hi Noel thankfully I had got talking to your sister and heard the trouble u where having , I’m sorry to hear this , firstly in regards to the review it’s about the gym , I appreciate your comments but you had signed on the 12 month contract rather than an open contract in order to receive a discount membership of £10 a month , I had spoken to the management company regardless of the contract because of your financial situation to cut the contract when membership was up to date , sadly you did not comply . Thankfully in the end we got it resolved. I would appreciate if u re thought your review , and hopefully we will see you in the facility again thank you and have a great day ..
Negative experience: Poor gym personally prefer pure gym place was not clean a lot of equipment was broke and out of order and overall the vibe was not it.I would not recommend.
Hi Clarko , we don’t no who this is and when you where in the facility in order to address the problem , I am hearing that the place was not clean , I am an assure u that we have 2 full time cleaners so the place is spotless most of the time and in regards to equipment being broke , we have very rarely had any equipment broke in the faculty and if it was it would have been fixed with in a few days with our maintenance contract , so I don’t see this being correct as well as our gym having at least 3 or 4 of everything there would always be a variation of machine was out of order or someone else was using in order to accommodate our members , please feel free to contact the gym page personally and come into the facility as u can see most people are leaving other gyms to join our gym as the standards are very high , if u would like to come in for another visit feel free to contact reception with your valid name and we will get u in for a 2nd visit . Fantastic experience: Great gym to go to 24 hr plenty of machines to use good buzz about it. Always getting new equipment in also plenty of parking space.
Positive experience: Great place to do workout with nice atmosphere. Four star instead of five because no WiFi. Fully recommended
