Long Ashes Leisure Club

Positive experience: Visited Long Ashes pool yesterday not been for many years. Loved the facilities & very friendly staff. The only thing was 2 young teenage boys got in which I don't have a problem with, however they were playing fighting & throwing a leather ball across the pool. We were very surprised it's allowed as it's not allowed in our local council pool.

Positive experience: Lovely little venue. We booked a 4 hour to use facilities: Sauna, pool and Steam Room. Booked during half term so was busy with children. Would book again but not during school holidays

Fantastic experience: Attentive, friendly staff, excellent food and an all round fab place. I am gluten and dairy intolerant and they couldn't have been more helpful in making sure I enjoyed my meal.

Positive experience: Es un lugar muy bonito y relajante sin embargo los precios me parecen muy altos en comparación con lo que ofrecen. Últimamente el área de cambiadores y baños tiene mucha mejor apariencia. Debes llevar tus propias toallas si quieres entrar a la alberca (incluso los miembros).

Fantastic experience: Hi visited today with 3 friends, 2 who were booked in for spa day and treatments. Personal touch makes such a difference of been greeted by name. We all had lunch, the staff and service were amazing despite clearly been rushed off their feet. Polite with smiles and went above and beyond for us, thank you so much. Wish I had got your names but was the staff members on shift making the food and one that was taking orders, serving etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Am loving the new refurbished changing rooms. Fab to be back.

Positive experience: I've been going to long Ashes for 20 years on and off, love the atmosphere, I went up today for the first time since first lock down, and really enjoyed myself, just one complaint, the showers in the men's changing room, automatically turn off far too early, like 10 seconds, really frustrating having to keep turning them bk on. Hope one of the managers see this post and sort it out ASAP.

Positive experience: Whilst staying at the Caravan Club site (Wharfedale) at Threshfield we visited Long Ashes to walk around and whilst there decided to stop for coffee and cake in the cafe attached to the leisure centre. Very nice it was to, with a good selection of drinks and cake etc plus all at reasonable prices (that makes a change). Definitely recommend

Negative experience: I have been using the pool here for years but obviously not recently due to the pandemic.I would like to come and enjoy the pool again but currently being a non member I can only come monday to friday 10-4 which is not great as I have to work then.It is not really good enough to be honest, such limited times and not open on the weekends when I have the time to enjoy.I really thought you would be crying out for the business! I hope you change these limited times and days very soon!

Fantastic experience: After months away from the pool due to shielding, since yesterday I've been going back again. I just want to firstly thank the staff for creating an environment that feels safe despite the current climate. And secondly thank the few other members I've seen who have all been following the rules to the letter so we can all stay safe. This is how to do Covid Safe. Hats off ❤️

Negative experience: regular visitor. changing area especially showers need upgrading. standard cleaning poor. some staff helpful. not all. one shower been out of action over a year. long ashes concerned with spa not regulars who use fitness facilities every day. some gym equipment also needs servicing.

Positive experience: The facilities are good and the staff helpful and friendly. Somewhat overpriced however. For the excessive money, no one cleans the changing areas or pool during the day which works against them for return custom. By the evening it is grimy, sodden and all kinds of nasty things resting on the pool bottom. It's a lottery if you can get a length in for a swim. Some days it is almost empty. Others rammed. The lack of supervision or lanes means you can't really count on swim as exercise sadly. Just one lane there all the time would make a very large difference. Gym is excellent. Surroundings are impeccable. Ideal really for it's target market, retirees and holidaymakers. It's designed for fun rather than sport. Go for a long bike ride or hike in the beautiful Dales if you want good cardio. Then unwind here.

Fantastic experience: We were staying at Wood Nook caravan park which is about 20 minutes walk to Long Ashes liesure park, we went there because we were told it had a cafe, & yes it was very nice & reasonably priced.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic. What a lovely place. Only went for a meal but would look into staying there for a mini break. Was with a large party of 10. All meat excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend.
