Stealth Gymnasium

Positive experience: Really good gym with loads of different equipment on offer for a really good price too. Only thing that doesn’t make it 5 stars is I always see people struggle with the QR code reader on entry, myself included!

Negative experience: There have been a few things recently that have put me off about this gym, despite going for the past year or so. Firstly, there's never anyone on reception to speak to. I've been trying to report a dangerously wobbly machine for weeks now, but never anyone about. Secondly, they make announcements on Instagram and expect everyone to see it - turned up on Easter Monday to work out to be told the gym closes at 2pm. This wasn't anywhere on the website or the app - you can't rely on ONE social media platform to communicate with people. Finally, the cleanliness and maintenance of the gym equipment has gone downhill since they got rid of a lot of staff.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, always so clean. Great equipment. Music is always decent. Always very quiet when I attend.

Negative experience: This place was originally a 5 star for me when it opened. The kit was spot on/new and staff were always friendly. However since its changed to being unmanned (the staff were removed a couple of months back) , it's majorly gone down hill. The place is straight up dirty now with empty bottles sometimes being left for several days at a time, floor and equipment covered in dust/general grime, mirrors being covered in god knows what and little to no cleaning being undertaken. When you have needed to talk to someone the intercom system doesn't appear to be manned either, which is a concern if someone has an accident. You can do better for 30 a month.

Fantastic experience: Excellent induction course last week and a pilates class today. Both instructors knowledgeable, friendly and offered good advice. Friendly atmosphere and clean throughout thoroughly recommend x

Fantastic experience: Have very recently joined the gym and found every member of staff very approachable and friendly. Classes are excellent and really well run and attended. Would highly recommend Rise Fitness Macclesfield.

Positive experience: Not impressed that the gym shuts at 5 on a Saturday. Most other gyms open an awful lot later. Amateur!!!!! The cleaning is getting far to intermittant too. The machines are very dusty and the smears on the mirrors upstairs have been there untouched for far to long now. In these days of Covid which is never going to go away, hygiene needs to be a priority not an afterthought.

Fantastic experience: Good range of equipment and free weights, except the slam balls which stop at 7kg. Sanitiser freely available on both floors. Plenty of trainers if you want one. Nice and cool well ventilated. Good place

Fantastic experience: I use a lot of gyms travelling around! This is the MOST friendliest, non judgemental and cleanest gym Ive been too! Thank you. Would recommend, plate loaded equipment and plenty of free weights! All abilities welcome!

Negative experience: New equipment and vr classes.Shame about the volume and type of music being so bad.Parking poor on street.
