Fantastic experience: Beautiful hotel. Modern spacious comfy bedroom's that come with a king size sumptuous bed and pillows, special touches like hot water bottles, homely mugs & quality biscuits, GHD Hairdryer, large tele. Extremely clean bathroom with spacious walk in shower. Fabulous full English breakfast and cater to dietary requirements. Beautiful swimming pool lounge and restaurant facilities. Always a delight staying here and well worth £140 for the room.

Fantastic experience: Went for Afternoon tea for my birthday and had such a lovely time. The food was amazing, the decor was beautiful, service was lovely and even got a special little "happy birthday" cake. Will be going back again

Negative experience: Lovely location, however the overall service we received was disgraceful. As the mother of the bride our wedding guests were treated awfully, embarrassing open conversations were shared without privacy with a number of guests, the hotel management had left us feeling less than, and furthermore we feel due to our ethnicity, we were not treated as other guests were treated, we were spoken to in a disrespectful manner by the receptionist & management. Will not be visiting this hotel ever again to be left feeling like we are not worth staying at the hotel. We have also been made to feel that our complaints were not valid and fabricated. If we had received a warm understanding and an apology for the mishaps we would have let this lye,we feel personally attacked by the entire management team.

Negative experience: Well! Where do I start! I have never stayed at a hotel like it, and not in a good way. Firstly no business should be IN BUSINESS that think bad customer service is acceptable. We had our pre wedding celebrations here and we regret sharing such a memorable moments with the establishment. We had family fly over from all parts of the world to share our wedding celebrations and we were treated with absolute discust. We had our pre wedding BBQ which was lovely to see all of our guests before the big day. Alot more guests arrived and we ran out of food, we then asked for some food options to be provided to cover all dietary requirements. They presented Burger and chips ONLY so of course we was not happy. We were very understanding that we had asked last minute but no communication was given that they could not accommodate. And charged us for something that we did not ask for. My husband to be had a room the night before our wedding and it was agreed with the events team that they would move his belongings in to the bridal suite so when we got back to the hotel it would be a smooth check in. 30 minutes before I went to walk walk down the aisle I had a call from reception demanding we come back to the hotel to clear his room because he's check out time had ended even though it was agreed that his belongings would be moved over to the bridal suite, how on earth can you call a bride 30 minutes before she's about to get married and ask her to come back to a hotel to move belongings absolutely mind-blowing. Moving forward to our wedding night we arrived back at the hotel to be faced with several guests standing in the lobby trying to UBER back to Birmingham which is over an hour away due to 3 of our guests were given rooms with other guests laying in the bed when they entered. When they were then given another room key once again other guests were in the room. It took us over 2 hours to sort our guests out so that was our romantic night ruined because not only did we have to move my husbands belonging out of one room to another but absolutely nothing was in our bridal suite as promised. No welcome bottle and to top it off our TV was broken. We had also left my husband's wedding shoes down by the stairs in the reception and was told they would be brought up to our room. When we woke up the next day and went downstairs, what do we see HIS SHOES sitting in the same place. No regard of our belongings at all. We presented our frustrations to hotel management the next day and no follow up had be done, we expressed that we didn't feel comfortable paying for nay bill untill all of our points had be addressed We left the hotel with out finalising our bridal suite cost as we felt our experience was ruined even though we paid thousands during that weekend. Considering the above disappointments at not one point have we received an apology. I have read through the negative reviews and they have apologised for smaller things that what we had to endure. It has ruined our memories and has effected us immensely. I would not recommend this hotel at all I dread to think what response we will get to this review because it definitely will not be an apology, and it seems as if they always have an answer to everything and agree with the bad customer service that they offer to guests. I hope this never happens to any future guests sincerely but the negative reviews speak for themselves.

Fantastic experience: We loved our recent stay here. What a glorious location with 360° views of the Cotswold countryside. Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfasts and classy evening meals.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful short break with our tiny puppy, in a dog-friendly room! Tewkesbury Park Hotel went the extra mile with our dog - they gave him bowls, bed, blanket, treats and there were other little thoughtful touches for him. Our large room was well furnished and had a lovely terrace, with gate directly to the grounds. We had panoramic views of the sizeable grounds. The staff were kind and service was amazing and efficient. We definitely will be coming again. We came from London, and were returning from a two week trip to visit friends and relatives in the south west of England and through Wales. Thank you, Tewkesbury Park Hotel!

Fantastic experience: This turned out to be an especially nice place to spend a few nights. The bed was comfy. Glorious view from our window. Delicious food, both breakfast and evening meal. Decent sized and warm swimming pool. Every member of staff with whom we interacted was lovely. This places does all the good stuff very well and with zero pretension. A bonus being the selection of different areas furnished with comfortable chairs in which too chill while enjoying a drink.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff great food, stayed one night had lunch was very good! Staff are brilliant very high standard. Hotel looks recently refurbished throughout. We had massages which were very good. Great views of Tewksbury!

Fantastic experience: Vegan-tastic! We've just enjoyed a two-night break at Tewksbury Park. In addition to the team, room and facilities being great, they are really vegan-friendly. There's a reasonable choice of items on the a la cart menu, but they were able to adapt plates to make them vegan as well. Excellent choice of vegan wines - my wife checked a fair number with Dr Google and all came back suitable for vegans so it's a fair guess they all are, which is unusual for a restaurant. On our second day we had Afternoon Tea for two. We had separate cake stands with vegan and non-vegan (for me!) and the vegan choice was as good as mine. Also, we asked for a dairy alternative in the room for teas and coffees and they provided a fresh 1L carton of soya milk - another first for a hotel we've stayed in. Most just don't bother. All-in-all, well worth a visit.

Positive experience: Lovely hotel and breakfast was fantastic. There is no guest directory in the room and the App is useless. It doesn't even give you check out or breakfast times. They don't offer room service which is disappointing. Overall the room was well presented with a few annoyances such as the incorrect sized toilet seat being fitted and only one plug socket to service both the kettle and the coffee machine.

Negative experience: Very disappointing stay, first room overbearing smell of paint, moved to room above ‘pets welcome’ rooms to be woken at 6am by dogs barking, ran out of stock of a certain wine we wanted for evening meal, bartender didn’t know the difference between Armagnac and Almond milk, then to top off the weekend, an underwhelming apology that our spa treatments had been cancelled!!

Negative experience: Spa Hotel which does not supply robes in your rooms even tho the spa is not attached to the hotel. Relaxing afternoon which is ruined by being served wine in a paper coffee cup as no glass aloud around the spa! (Understandably) yet no alternative other than a brown coffee paper cup, lovely. Followed by horrendous manager customer service informing us they don't use plastic for environmental reasons yet are happy to supply single use paper cups for wine. Really poor service with spa.

Fantastic experience: Great location, lovely grounds and friendly staff. The dog-friendly rooms were clean and well maintained with a nice bathroom. They included 2 x large bowls for doggie food and water and provided a complimentary doggie toy as well. If you are dining with dogs, this is not in the main restaurant but in a smaller separate lounge area. Although the menu is exactly the same, getting staff to attend to requests is not so easy being away from the main area. Breakfast buffet was generally okay but nothing special, however the kitchen prepared items were really good.

Positive experience: Went for a afternoon tea ... would highly recommend. The views across the golf course and grounds add to the experience. However if you have mobility issues do check, as it is an old building with quite a few places where there are 3 or 4 steps up and down. Even access from disabled parking into lobby has a step. Not suitable for wheelchair

Positive experience: Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely return. The food at both dinner and breakfast was exceptional, and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly. We had a lovely table at both sittings with views over the golf course and beyond. The location of the hotel is stunning and the golf course is kept in top condition. However, there was the strong smell of sewage at the lower end of the estate, which was noticeable on arrival and departure and on the deer park walk. The map for the deer park walk is a great idea, but the copy available at reception is not up to date like the one on the website and we got a bit lost. So I would advise you download it on your phone. There are also wellies available at the entrance should you need them, which is a lovely touch. Our room was lovely and clean and the little touches like blankets and hot water bottle made it extra special. The website states the white company toiletries are in the room, but instead they were supplied by the natural spa factory. This turned out to be a nice surprise as the Fig and Vanilla range is to die for! A small notice next to the coffee machine on how to work it would be a welcome addition. We wasted 3 coffee pods and all our water trying to get more than hot water to come out. Also, small things like the doorstop on the bathroom door being broken made the room look a little tired for a 4* hotel. The spa area and pool was lovely and clean overall and the pool just the right temperature. But again, small things like cleaning all the marks off the windows needed to be carried out. The reception staff were pleasant, but lacked the attentiveness the other staff provided. An email query pre-visit went unanswered and on departure, we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay. The room keys were simply taken off us and we were told "thanks that's it, all done". In summary, we had a lovely break at Tewkesbury Park, but as a 4* hotel small improvements could be made to make this a 5* stay.

Fantastic experience: A very enjoyable experience throughout our stay. Superb views towards Malverns and Bredon Hill from the elevated position of the hotel. All the staff were most polite, helpful and courteous.

Fantastic experience: Unrivalled views, located at the top of a shallow sloping hill with 360 degree views out across the Cotswolds and towards the Malverns. Great food, particularly the breakfast buffet was a winner. Rooms were well laid out and a very comfy bed. We stayed for a corporate event and were well hosted by the hotel. Plenty of tea and coffee as well as bite to eat to keep us going during the day.

Fantastic experience: What a stunning place with friendly staff. Rooms perfect we had a garden room with a patio to sit out overlooking their golf course and the Malvern Hills in the distance. We had a lovely evening meal. The only criticism was the breakfast self service and not hot. For what you pay it should of been served. Otherwise a perfect break.

Fantastic experience: Our daughter was married there recently with a reception afterwards. My wife and l stayed for two nights and can only say that we had an amazing time. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The food, both at the reception and in the restaurant was of the highest quality. All the staff were very friendly and polite with nothing too much trouble. Would certainly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Went here for a golf break 1 night, 2 rounds. Superb location, good golf course, really enjoyed it. The hotel obviously caters for weddings, but there were other people there on golf breaks. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was really good. The staff were great. Special mention to Maxwell for coming to the rescue. We were just about to leave when I discovered my car battery was flat. Went to reception and the receptionist said she'd ask around to see whether anyone had any jump leads. Maxwell was out the front of the hotel and said yes, I habve jump leads, let's go. Wet backto the car connected the jump leads and we were up and running. An absolute credit to your hotel, thank you very much Maxwell, you made what had already been a memorable golf break into a weekend to remember!

Positive experience: Lovely location on golf course. A good 29minutes walk to village Rooms a bit tired Shower over bath that had no hand grips could be dangerous Had to request fridge which arrived promptly but didn't work Restaurant good. Food very good

Fantastic experience: We loved our stay. It would have been 5 stars for the room except that we had a very loud fire door outside our room which disturbed us several times whilst trying to sleep. The hotel is situated in fabulous grounds and is only a 20 minute walk from Tewkesbury, which is steeped in history. We can recommend this hotel and will certainly return.

Positive experience: Very nice location beautiful golf course gym ok was in need of a few bits of equipment but generally ok. Air conditioning unit in mens changing room roof hadn't been cleaned in years they can carry disease. Changing rooms regularly dirty on floor, pool was cold a lot of the time, hot tub which is outside was nice though. Could be nice club with a little cleaning and pool temp being more regulated. I was only gym member and cant comment on rooms or food but did visit daily for quite some time.

Positive experience: Beautiful location and comfortable rooms. The food and service was very good too. Unfortunately our nights sleep was ruined because we were evacuated twice in one night due to fire alarm. It was slightly worrying that the night staff didn't seem to know what to do & had to take advice from guests with experience.

Positive experience: Great location, nice surroundings. Plenty of parking space. I attended for a conference. Good facilities and no technical issues. Main hall had a multiscreen rather than a projector which made looking at slides harder as there were black lines from the TV frames going through the middle of the images.

Fantastic experience: Attended this venue for a work event, To find I had been upgraded to a suite was a welcome surprise. Shower and view to big highlights for me. Only bit that let it down was that the coffee machine didn't work.

Positive experience: For us the rooms were too warm even with heating off and windows open at night. Yes there was a provided fan but noisy to sleep with! Buffet cooked breakfast Luke warm and bacon cold one of the two days. Lovely location

Fantastic experience: Stayed for 2 nights to go to the Cheltenham races, took three rooms, had breakfast and dinner in the hotel both nights. Fantastic place, service and superb restaurant. Will be staying again. The restaurant should be promoted in itself to the locals as it is very good and not your average hotel restaurant. (Not sure if you already do that)

Fantastic experience: Lovely hotel surrounded by golf course (not a golfing fan) approx 0.5 mile from tewkesbury town centre. Clean room and bar /restaurant areas, lovelg view from room, quiet and peaceful. All the Staff, from cleaners, bar staff, reception, waiting staff very polite and helpful. Lovely meals, had all meals at resort.

Positive experience: Booked in for high tea for 5 people. Coffee and tea orders were very slow and the coffee cups saucers were swimming in coffee. No staff checking or refilling . The food was lovely just a pity about the service. Also I tried to pay with cash which they refused as they only take card

Fantastic experience: What can I say! This place and its staff are totally awesome! We had the best Christmas away ever, it exceeded our expectations, which were very high due to the other places we've stayed in Cotswolds over Christmas. The best!!!!

Positive experience: Stayed one night 27 December 23, last stayed 19th December 23, used as a stay over for long journey from Beverley to Newquay. 27th visit not as good, Stain on bathroom floor, no dressing gown or slippers for pool. The bar menu is a bit limited if your after a meal. The bed is massive and very comfy and all staff very helpful.

Positive experience: You must not stay here if you need disabled access. Went to Tewkesbury Park hotel for a family wedding and stayed for 2 nights but only ate breakfast and the wedding meal which where both very good. The service overall by the staff was excellent, especially reception staff and the wedding servers. The disability access was not good at all. We had a elderly family member with us that needs either a electric mobility scooter or for short distance a stick but the amount of steps throughout the hotel made getting anywhere from reception to the room cold, wet. This was the same for the wedding. I can not recommend it for anyone with stairs issues. But if that’s not an issue you will enjoy you stay I am sure. The hotel is spacious, clean, well decorated as well as very comfortable. The bedrooms are very good hotel bedrooms. Ours had a massive bed, super king, as well as some nice touches including a kettle and a coffee pod machine.

Negative experience: Absolutely shocked by this hotel. We stay every year for business and have done for over 6 years. My husband took a practically empty shampoo bottle home and without our permission they have charged £51 from our account. Lost thousands in repeat business for years to come for the sake of £51. Sad business sense.

Fantastic experience: Great for a golfing holiday, or just as a base for traveling the area. Bedroom was large and well maintained. The only slight criticism was the bedside plug was down behind the table.

Positive experience: The walk to your room will be an experience! Rooms are nothing to write about, but not as good as you'd expect for what you pay. The grounds are lovely. Pool is located outside the actual hotel building.

Negative experience: From the photos online, I expected a higher end experience. Tewkesbury Park is somewhere that seems like it was once nice, and is now getting a bit run down. We had a 'King' bed room - which was two twins at slightly different levels and on rollers shoved together. If you're going just to golf, I think it's a great choice. It's a beautiful course. If you're on an English countryside vacation, I would skip this one. The food (we did both the restaurant and tea) looks nice but is not very good, and the rooms need to be both kept up and cleaned better. I'll attach a few photos of chips and mold so you know what I mean.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely loved our stay here at Tewkesbury Park. The staff were lovely, especially Wan who served us for dinner and was very attentive. The room we stayed in was gorgeous and had amazing views. The great views were all round Tewkesbury Park.

Fantastic experience: I didnt stay but had 2 Breakfasts and an evening meal on a different day. Restaurant food was great, the duck was perfect. Lemon pudding was exceptional. Breakfast also really good!. The Staff were all very friendly on all visits , relaxed atmosphere and the hotel is very well kept. Enjoyable experience all round!

Fantastic experience: So my girlfriend and I have now visited Tewkesbury Park 4 times in the last year and a half, and it’s about time I finally left a review. The building, the staff, the spa… the whole place is just excellent. Each time we’ve visited we’ve been greeted with a smile and nothing is ever too much for the team to handle. Special shout out to Sinead and Alex who have always gone out of their way to ensure we have a fantastic stay, not that the rest of the team don’t as well! We’ve only ever stayed in the main part of the house, so I can’t speak for the rest of the hotel, but the rooms have always been spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds are big and comfortable, but if like me you prefer a lower pillow, then you may want to bring one of your own as theirs are quite high and firm. I actually left my own pillow there by accident once and when I returned eight weeks later they were still holding it for me! The spa facilities are really lovely and they don’t get too busy. You do have to go outside of the hotel to access the spa though, so best to plan for that and perhaps bring a pair of flip flops, they do provide slippers but they seem to have reduced the quality of these over the last year or so. Overall, the hotel and the team that work there are absolutely brilliant. They must pay well as they never seem to have a shortage of staff and there is always someone on hand to help. The fact we’ve been so many times speaks for itself, we’re already planning our next trip!

Fantastic experience: Excellent little hotel. I was only there for a day but staff were nice, food was gorgeous and the entire premises was well kept and eccentric. Very good view from my room even though it was at the back. Bar was open until very late which suited me. Overall very luxurious and would go again.

Fantastic experience: What a fantastic hotel. We spent 2 days celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and wow what a wonderful place. We felt truly looked after. The service was delightful from the concierge, restaurant staff and bar tender. The restaurant food was out of this world with a modern Asian feel. We will definitely be back Tewkesbury Park.

Fantastic experience: Great deal with golf and accommodation. Food super. Only gripe was the when nit chilled at the table which spoilt an excellent sea food meal. Otherwise superb and Joyce is still going strong ! See you next year for our 20th anniversary Tewkesbury Jolly. ❤️

Fantastic experience: We loved our stay here. We had a terrace room with our own little private patio with gorgeous views over the grounds towards the hills. We had a table and chairs on the patio, and blankets for outside in case it got chilly. We were so lucky with the weather, it was wonderfully warm and although we were only 25 minutes from home in Malvern, we felt like we were on holiday. I loved the bathroom products and the very large comfortable bed. We had a sparkling afternoon tea which was delicious and had some cocktails and other drinks in the bar afterwards, which we thought were reasonably priced for a hotel. We didn't have our evening meal at the hotel but found the buffet breakfast to be plentiful, fresh and tasty. I think for me the best thing about the hotel is that it's family owned and not a chain. It just had a different atmosphere and ambience. The staff were, without exception, friendly, polite and helpful and all seemed happy to be there even though it was a very warm and busy Bank Holiday weekend. We will definitely return, and we hope to stay a little longer and try the restaurant.

Fantastic experience: Not only is this a lovely golf course, it's also a great place to go for lunch or dinner. I've just taken some French customers for lunch and they loved it. The setting is fantastic with great views and the bar and dining room areas are very smart and comfortable. Service was also top notch.

Fantastic experience: A massive thank you to Patrick and his fantastic staff for our beautiful stay in the Margaret of Anjou suite. Definitely a place to revisit. The food was amazing and the terrific views. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble.

Positive experience: Bit of an odd place, nice grounds on a golf course. Room was nice size but bland. Huge bed that was two zipped together so not very good for cuddles, infarct dam painfull. Breakfast was nice, improved over the 3 days there. Used the pool, hot tub and sauna but be aware later are outside. If you want a treatment it's not in the same place but in the hotel. Pool building is a cross between a golf club house and gym. Both days pool chaging rooms were very untidy. Ladies very cold mens just an untidy smelly mess. Pool was hard to enjoy as lots of people just there for Lane swimming. Is a good location for Cheltenham & Gloucester. Very odd place, not a spa, more golf club. Oh its not accesible friendly, lots of stairs evsn on the ground floor. Several times helped people with there luggage. Yep us not the staff. Oh management walk around with clip boards!!! Say no more.... Would we stsy sgsin No.

Positive experience: Great golf course. Lovely refurbished rooms. Great food and friendly staff. Would be nice if the Pool was attached to the hotel but otherwise great!

Negative experience: Paid a lot of money for a golf and spa trip with my friends. Found out on arrival there would be no spa at all for the entire trip due to a technical issue. This was known to the hotel days before our arrival and we only found out upon arrival which was very disappointed. They only refunded us £30 each which is obviously unacceptable and also claimed to the agent that that spa was open on our final day, even though we called reception to be told it was not. Really bad experience and they didn't even offer a formal apology etc, just sent a refund through our agent. Check out was 11am tee time was 130 on our final day, didn't even bother playing golf on the last day as there was literally nothing to do would not recommend, shame because it looks nice.

Fantastic experience: Very nice last minute stay! The hotel were able to accommodate adjoining rooms for 3 people. The swimming pool and sauna is nice however the outdoor area could be slightly better presented. The restaurant and food was very good . One disappointing factor is that the EV chargers were out of order however the hotel agreed that I can plug in via the managers office to mains three pin plug to charge. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I was there at a birthday party. It is situated in a fantastic location. Good hospitality and good food. I didn't expect such good asian cuisine. They have a swimming pool and jacuzzi. Large golf course. Its undoubtedly a good place to stay in.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic stay overnight. Rooms were a nice size. Bathroom was a decent size. Meals and service very good. Swimming pool, hot tub and sauna for residents. Great value. For the dog lovers like us. They are PET FRIENDLY! They even allowed us to have dinner and breakfast together with them in the Piano Bar. The dogs were treated to a breakfast also. Truly excellent

Fantastic experience: We had the most gorgeous stay here!! The Margaret of Angou room was absolutely stunning, and the hotel staff were so incredibly kind and welcoming. I mentioned we were celebrating a birthday and our room was very kindly upgraded which made our stay even more special. The food in the restaurant was so delicious. We also had back, neck and shoulder massages which were just perfect. Beautiful grounds as well. Couldn’t recommend enough and a huge thank you to all the gorgeous staff!! X

Fantastic experience: We stopped here for a few days as a 'Minimoon' after our wedding at the end of October. The staff were brilliant, the food and drinks were top notch and the room was really good quality. Stopping in one of the historic suites was a touch of class. I highly recommend the goats cheese cornetto starter they do in the restaurant. A great hotel, even if you're not a fan of golf, it's only a short walk from Tewkesbury centre. I'd happily stop here again.

Positive experience: the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas but we didnt expect there to be so may children in this type of hotel. really wanted to use the pool but was impossibile to swim and relax with the amount of young children in it. The breakfasts were lovely but the menu and ambiance of the restaurant didnt encourage us to dine there.

Fantastic experience: We came for the Christmas retreat and it was a memorable experience. The hospitality was second to none. The whole experience was very thoughtfully organised and executed. We felt welcomed and had a special Christmas experience. Special mention to the food which was outstanding throughout. The place has a beautiful setting and is highly recommended.

Positive experience: We love Tewkesbury Park for its amenities, friendly staff and beautiful grounds. If I had to suggest a tweak improvement - a refresh treatment for the lounge zig-zag design carpets. The furnishings and spaces are very elegant and a potpourri scent for the Holidays would give it the 5* finish.

Positive experience: The food in restaurant was 4.5 stars. And restaurant staff lovely. Other than than does feel like you are slightly in the way of everyone’s golf club. Not ideal for kids at all. Not for under 3’s at all. Initial reception or paying guests needs massive work. Literally no explanation of on site facilities on entry or basics. Work it out yourself each enough but it’s little things that save peoples time for long weekend. Overall common facilities are clean and nice enough. Breakfast is great and the staff in restaurants are fantastic. Again they would get 5 stars. Spa part is very average, small and bolted onto the golf course. Golfers coming and going all day long. Can’t walk in the grounds much or risk a ball in the head.

Positive experience: Stayed in a named room in the original building. No lift. Room smallish. Only just room to get round the foot of the bed. Only one luggage stand. The bed was big and comfortable but too big for the room size. Lovely view from the window. Bathroom poor. Wash basin emptied very slowly requiring time and effort to drain and wash down. Shower over bath not safe for elderly or unsteady guests. Inadequate foot grip in wet bath and insufficient hand holds for elderly to grip getting in or out over the bath sides. Food good in nice bright restaurant with separate private dining areas available for parties. Bar well stocked including a lovely hand pulled ale. Lovely staff in the main. Helpful and friendly. Special mention of a lovely lady from Poland and a delightful young Ukrainian lady refugee. I would stay there again but in a standard room.

Fantastic experience: Last minute decision to go here. NOT disappointed. Room (basic) beautiful with all the added quality extras. Evening meal excellent especially the steak. Very rarely ordered steak rare and it was delivered perfectly. Surroundings beautiful. Would certainly recommend. Excellent value for money and having the beautiful swimming pool/hot tub/steam room included; the icing on the cake!!

Positive experience: I was told when booking that they catered vegans. Yes, they provided me with a vegan sausage for breakfast but no plant based spread or yoghurt. Only one option for dinner which didn't sound that appetising. Ended up going elsewhere for dinner each night. The cleanliness of the room was excellent although after the first day we were only given 1 bath towel each day.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant hotel. Level of service from all staff was top-notch. Even the Gardner wanted to make sure all was well with my stay. Good food onsite, although the portions are very small...short walk into the town.

Positive experience: The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The reception, bar and restaurant are very clean and modern. The lady that checked us in was so lovely and friendly, took us up to our room and kindly carried my dresses for me. The room was one of the historical indulgence suites, on first impressions the room and bathroom were stunning, after being left to our own devices it became clear that the room wasn’t very well looked after with plaster peeling off the walls, bits of wall exposed were there had been obvious damp issues. Bits of the bathroom wooden blind missing, mould and dirt in quite a few places. We didn’t want to complain as we were upgraded on arrival, didn’t want to seem ungrateful. If anything, this isn’t so much of a complaint it’s more of an observation and maybe they should look into the condition of the rooms as these are the premium rooms they advertise, I wouldn’t be too pleased if I paid for it. The toiletries were also very good, topped up everyday. The spa is really nice, we used it both days early morning and found it to be nice and quiet. We treated ourselves to a treatment each on the day we left and we were both very pleased with the level of the treatments in the spa. Breakfast is great, lots of choice and yummy full English! The only thing I would say is a complaint is the food and drink is astronomically expensive although very tasty. They charge £5 per side and that’s for a little basket of chips or a small bowl of greens also paid £4.95 for an orange juice with soda water. I think next time we probably won’t eat dinner at the hotel. All in all, we would come back but would probably do a few things differently.

Fantastic experience: Spotlessly clean and the restaurant food was lovely. The pool area is small but peaceful and pleasant. Drinking water available in the pool area would be nice.

Positive experience: Booked in for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Lovely property set in grounds that include a golf course. Friendly member of staff checked us in, room around to the right of the building. Spacious,clean and nicely presented. Good size bathroom with walk in shower. Our stay included a bottle of prosecco and a 3 course meal up to a value. Not a huge choice on the menu,but what we had was very good. Enjoyable evening, quite quiet to start, but by 8 it had got quite busy. Good night's sleep. Checked out, again with friendly staff after a good breakfast.

Fantastic experience: Beautiful location. Good for golf and holding conference meetings. The bar was nice. Gym/swimming pool included. Plenty of parking. Receptionists were friendly to direct you with where you need to go. Check-in was smooth and easy to follow directions. Parking was easy no need to give registration plate. Beautiful room. The ground floor room had access to an outdoor patio with chairs and table. Room was very clean with iron/ironing board and hair dryer - the essentials - available. Excited to book a stay again.

Fantastic experience: Didn't partake in the golf so cannot comment. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and lots of attention to detail. Room contained a small fridge, kettle and nespresso machine which was a nice touch. The room had a small patio area overlooking the course and the views were amazing. Breakfast was one of the best I've had when staying in a hotel, dinner in the restaurant was also very nice and averagely priced. Overall I would say its one of the best hotels in the area.

Positive experience: Hotel looks to have been revamped although I didn't go init. New golf pro shop and new bar area look really nice. Bunkers on the course are awful right now, no sand in them...
