Negative experience: Mens changing room is in worse condition broken lockers broken hair dryer and most of all there is no cold water only hot water which can burn you. They have put repairing sign for last 2 months but its seems there engineers are quite busy.

Negative experience: 3 months ago everything was perfect. And i was telling everyone about this gym. But not anymore. This gym closes every few weeks for maintenance which is perfect! But when we get back we find nothing change but braking our locks and put everything in a bag!! Some machines not working. Even hair dryer in men’s change room are not working I don’t know maybe you wanna save on electricity!And some shower rooms not working. And some cabinets are completely broked!! So what you guys doing for maintenance!! Pipes? As a member I have to say there’s absolutely no change regarding maintenance. It’s really sad because I love this gym. Breaking the locks and empty them! That’s not maintenance for sure! I know the policy that we are not allowed to put things for few days in our cabinet. But come on. Nooooo maintenance at all . Fix the men’s restrooms please and it’s been 3 months for some shower rooms are down. And 2 months for 1 hair dryer and now non of them working

Negative experience: COMPLAINT To whom it may concern! I have paid a year upfront to attend your gym approximately a month ago and I am writing to make a very stern complaint against three of your staff members. Three days ago, one of those staff members attempted to give me a QR code for a free training session which ended up being his WhatsApp and quite frankly, his approach was subtly flirtatious which made me slightly uncomfortable. I took the QR code out of politeness knowing I wasn’t going to use it - I did not need or want the support. I attend your gym with an older male colleague of mine who I am comfortable working out with! And as I am a small female, my colleague respectfully spots me when needed. And it works great for me! Today on the 24th of October 2024 I arrived at your gym around 5pm and 15 minutes into my workout two of your staff members confrontationally approached us one being a manager and they began questioning me and my colleague on if we know each other and what our relationship was. My colleague replied we are colleagues. Your staff member proceeded to say it looks like he is training me, and he isn’t allowed to do that due to health and safety risk. Essentially saying we couldn’t work out together because he is guiding and supporting me too much!! What kind of gym is this!?? If your staff members saw a risk, they could have politely directed us but instead made it feel forced for us to not work out together and I should book a session with them!? I am disgusted at the atrocious behaviour of your staff members. I do NOT need to use the staff if I do not wish to! I am allowed to work out with who I wish to work out with! You would never approach two males spotting each other and tell them they can’t work out together so why is it they think it’s okay to do that with me because I am a female!! Your staff are out of hand!! Out of control! Have no respect and no boundaries!! When I spoke up for myself, explaining what they did made me lose confidence and demotivated me as I felt I was being watched. Which one of them gave me a dirty look, they shrugged their shoulders to belittle me. I said what is wrong with me working out with who I am comfortable with they acted in denial!! Also, I would like to add the first colleague from 3 days ago who made me take his number was also at the gym off shift working out and communicating with the other two and when I decided to leave the gym he came up after me and my colleague to watch. I will no longer be attending your disgusting gym I want a FULL refund of my yearly membership with immediate effect, or I will be taking legal action, and I will be taking this much further!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, there is no daily cleaning of the bathrooms, and the bathrooms are very dirty, and there are tissues on the floor in the bathrooms. Personally, if cleanliness is not taken care of, I do not advise anyone to participate.

Fantastic experience: I was passing thru and purchased the 3 day pass. Great gym, easy access, lots of equipment and plenty of showers.
Positive experience: This is the 5th Gym Group location I have been to and the gym is excellently equipped with all the equipment you would want in the gym and there is rarely any equipment which is broken or not working so everything is properly maintained. A few drawbacks are noted though. A lot of which has to do with a lack of attachments. People are constantly looking for hooks as there is not enough in this gym. Also there is only one triangle cable attachment for the seated row. There is only one place to be able to do a T-Bar row and that is combined with the squat racks which make it difficult to get ahold of. Adding all these things up and you may spend half your workout just waiting or trying to find equipment or attachments. The gym definitely needs to invest in getting these attachments into the gym and due to the amount of people coming to this gym and the space available they could possibly explore getting more common equipment like cables into the gym to lead to less waiting for equipment.
Negative experience: Mens and disabled toilets have been out of order or they are unable to be locked for months now, and locker doors are often broken as if people have tried to break in. Not a single one have been repaired since I've been here

Negative experience: there is a reason why it is this cheap, no air circulation, despite it looks clean at sight, poor air circulation helps bacteria grow. Dear future (not) member, dont be cheap, you can do better than this.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for quite some while now and I really like.The gym is well equipped and well-maintained, There machines and equipment are usually available and in good condition. The staff is very friendly! My personal trainer Harsh is an expert on anatomy and know exactly how to help me achieve my fitness goal! 11/10 would recommend.
Positive experience: I hope the staff can review the entrance video more carefully, I have seen mutiple times people squeeze in the access pod to get in at one go. A lot of lockers in the work out space are broken.

Positive experience: Sometimes cleanliness is neglected, and carabine hooks are always short( somebody stills them?) They could be easily replaced with permanent ones. Overall it's my gym and I'm not planning to change it

Negative experience: Half the lockers in the mens room have been removed a while back and never replaced. Many of the rest are broken, same with the toilets, once all three stalls were not working at the same time and the disabled toilets lock was broken then too. Had my card stolen from my locked locker once. Had my locker emptied and my padlock broken without warning when I once left things in overnight without any warning, when I got my stuff back my deodorant was missing.

Negative experience: disappointed by the lack of care by staff. I haven’t been able to use the female disabled shower in the female toilet because it has been broken. They had put a sign up saying it would be fixed in one day however this was 3 days ago. I’ve been relying on the showers seeing as i can’t use the normal showers

Negative experience: Not great. This gym has several drawbacks: 1) The men's locker room stinks quite heavily, from its toilets. 2) At busy times, it is hard to find a locker, since (a) several lockers are broken, (b) many people leave their stuff in lockers without a lock, and (c) some people will "claim" a locker by locking it and never returning to it. 3) There was (and perhaps still is) a sewage leak problem, which means that when you come into the main floor downstairs, you're immediately hit with another wall of toilet odour. 4) Several groups of teenage boys sneak in on a shared pin number, and then spend quite a lot of time just sitting on the bench press benches. In its defense, this gym DOES have: 1) A convenient location, and 2) Seemingly the lowest prices. Nearby PureGyms (Bayswater and Marylebone) seem to be £2-£4 more expensive. Nearby specialist gyms, such as 1Rebel and F45, are of course obscene ripoffs by comparison. Honestly, I think this gym could raise its prices and use the money to renovate a little bit. It might not fix the poor customer behaviour, but it would at least get rid of that smell...

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of The Gym Group in Paddington for some time now, and I can't say enough good things about the trainers here. Two trainers, in particular, have consistently made every visit enjoyable and productive. Both trainers were especially helpful before their 5:30 class today, taking extra time to ensure I was prepared and motivated. They create an incredibly welcoming and supportive environment at The Gym Group in Paddington. Their dedication and constant motivation make this gym a standout place to train. Thank you both for all your hard work. I had put your names in my notes but must have deleted them. I'll be sure to ask for your names again next time I’m in!
Negative experience: I moved to this venue 3 months ago and since then the man’s toilet smells so bad and spread everywhere, seams that something is broken. No staff around to complain or ask what is going on, or even know if there is a plan to fix it. I hope this message finds someone who can help.

Negative experience: Avoid this gym at all costs. Predatory and aggressive members of staff and extremely reluctant managers who can’t be bothered to sort issues. Also, leaking ceilings resulting in urine leaking onto gym equipment and no deep clean taken place until multiple days after the initial leak. Don’t bother wasting your money or time in this vile environment. A very uncomfortable atmosphere if you’re wanting to work out. AVOID.

Fantastic experience: Well equipped gym with reasonable casual rates
Negative experience: I've used the gym twice and after the second day using it they cancelled my membership with immediate effect stating the reason as "pod sharing". I've never shared a pod and this situation is extremely unfair and unpleasant for me! They didn't even have a discussion with me about it. I am absolutely shocked! Such a disappointment!

Positive experience: It's a nice gym. But why am I paying extra for the yanga sports water when more than half the time the machine is out of the juice and just spits out water.

Negative experience: Gym is full of people cheating their way in at the gate in groups of two or more. For those who pay for Yanga water, flavours are never refilled whatsoever, all taste like plain water so why bother pay extra if they don't even care about it. The overall gym is spacious with lots of equipments, but it's a bit ruined by poor maintenance of the staff.

Fantastic experience: The maintenance of the gym is great and the team is really friendly. The private coaching option is really useful especially for the beginner. The Saturday morning class is a perfect way to start the weekend. With an intense effort following by a good stretching.

Fantastic experience: After being out of the gym for a while, I was really nervous to get back into it but it was such a welcoming environment and the staff are always friendly and happy to help with workouts! Jeny and Paulie in particular were really helpful and made my experience of coming back, better!

Negative experience: In regards to The Gym Group London Paddington, I believe the whole ordeal with the urine smell that happened around 2 weeks ago is still not solved to this day, this is a clear hygiene issue that needs the gym closed down to properly sanitise and fix this issue, I am very disappointed in the lack of awareness to this as the replies seem very automated, till this day, there are NO cleaning stations that have gym equipment cleaners and tissues or wipes for the users. At this gym, they clearly do not care about hygiene, also, there are people who pay extra for the flavour refills of Yanga, I expect these to be topped up regularly even around times where people come late to workout, multiple times I filled from this machine and no flavour was present, just water. This gym needs a complete overhaul if they want to keep me enjoying working out and focused.

We are now going to start reducing the number of cleaning stations throughout the gym whilst still providing cleaning materials for those members who desire them to clean down kit.

Negative experience: 1, cleanliness of the gym has dropped 2, the gym smells like urine (Saturday a ceiling seeped with urine ) 3, Paulie’s class LBT was the most popular class and was replaced with another hyrox class. I emailed my frustration to ludmila and got no response. A few of us girls actually have come together to get it reinstated) 4, peak time is peak because so many youngsters and time wasters huggs the machines whilst chatting and not actually working out. 5, some members have no manners or respect, a guy actually spat on the floor like nothing is wrong. 6, gym does not feel as safe, nonmembers are coming in by entering in the pod with a member. Gym mainly male dominated can feel slightly intimidating to a female member especially late evenings with no staff present. 7, class was cancelled due to short staffing but we were not informed. 6 of us were waiting for good 10 mins before someone went and asked. It is really a shame, i had high hopes and potential for this gym when it first opened.

Negative experience: This gym reeks and smells like wee the moment you go in. There’s wee dripping from the ceiling and its ripped off hanging down, I am not able to use the stair-master one ever go there please save yourself.

Negative experience: The gym itself is very big and well equipped. However, the hygiene and cleanliness throughout the gym is very poor. On my recent visit it had a very bad smell of urine/ leaking toilets. It was uncomfortable to use the facilities especially when we’re breathing this stench during workouts. Toilets hadn’t been cleaned properly as the women’s disposable bins were full and hadn’t been cleared in months. Even the women’s showers had a strange fishy smell. Some of the cardio equipment had not been wiped down in ages and I didn’t feel like placing my water bottle in the holder or touching the surfaces at all. I suggest they provide automatic air fresheners throughout the gym and maybe shut down the gym until they sterilise every square inch of the entire facility. If they’re promoting health, fitness and wellbeing, then cleanliness and hygiene in their facilities must be a basic and top priority to them.

Negative experience: I've been working out at this gym for over a year and have noticed several drawbacks. Group classes on weekends are sometimes canceled without notice. Today, I arrived for stretching at 10:00, but there was a HIIT class with trainer Jenny at that time. I ended up joining both classes, and it was a waste of time. The stretching class with this trainer was ineffective. The gym also has a broken wall in the group exercise area for over six months. The cleanliness in the women's changing rooms is subpar, and there's a bad smell in the gym due to poor ventilation. The fitness mats are dirty and unusable due to the odor. The schedule for group classes never specifies the trainer, so it's always a surprise, which isn't always pleasant. The Wi-Fi is poor, and 4 out of 8 hairdryers in the women's changing room don't work. The only competent trainer is Amar El Kartin; workouts with him are the most productive.

Negative experience: Male changing rooms are very derty. Urinals are broken and smell really bad. No one day , everyday, Please if you reply with a copy and paste do not waste your time. Whenever I see things change, I will improve the review. Or even you may lose guests in your gym.

Negative experience: Pretty mid tier gym. Has most of the equipments but God damn management is just sleeping on having this place clean and tidy. Members simply give 0 care about putting weights back or clean after themselves. Gym doesn't even have a tissue wipe so you can clean the bench. Weights are not placed in order at all. You often find yourself wasting good couple of minutes trying just to find the desired weight. I don't know why staff don't see it within themselves to tidy up the place early in the morning? What are you getting paid for? Unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Amar el Etabi is an amazing instructor ,very motivating and his classes are the best.
Positive experience: The gym itself is great, large space, lots of free weights and racks. Not busy at off peak hours. HOWEVER, gym etiquette is upheld loosely if at all here, many people not observing common gym decency. For example I have twice found a 150kg stacked barbell left on the floor after someone had deadlifted it, making it impossible for many to use. Weights are often left miles from their appropriate racks, and many people shouting and some macho behaviour on show which is disappointing. However, gym itself is great.

Negative experience: Will the urinals in the mens bathroom ever get fixed? The mens changing room is absolute filth! Not to mention i've heard multiple people having their stuff stolen from the lockers. Too many kids that work out in packs, mess around and haven't discovered deo..

Positive experience: Good gym for price and area, only issue is teenage kids and university students using each others codes and makes the gym too busy. Staff should check codes used

Fantastic experience: Really had a pleasant experience. Traveled from the US and needed a quick workout. Very easy to use the online booking. The gym was very clean and easy to navigate as a first time visitor. Highly recommend! Wish they had them here in Dallas!

Negative experience: A black man broad body, 175 cm tried to steal my locker while I was on the shower I was able to get him before time. I made a complain to the police... The gym group needs to do more... Make it clear for people not leave the stuff in there

Fantastic experience: I have to admit this is the best gym I have used for the price (US or UK). The staff keeps the place clean, the culture positive, and the equipment functional. Considering the central location and low price, it is an achievement that the culture does not have any of the common toxic elements you might expect.
Negative experience: Over the past six months, the water machine has been consistently broken, with no efforts made to repair or replace it. The gym staff seem to be neglecting their duties, as they wander around without attending to the maintenance of the equipment.

Negative experience: There are plenty of broken lockers. My impression is that some of the gym members leave their belongings in the lockers permanently, as they are closed even at 5 am. when the gym is empty. Recently, it got better with cleaningness but the problem with the lockers remains unsolved.

Negative experience: Big, spacious gym with all the necessary equipment you would need for your workout. Most machines have a minimum of 2 which is handy. The male changing room is disgusting though. Doesn't look like it has been cleaned in a while. Most doors in the locker room were broken. There was also a homeless man asleep in the entrance to the gym. Not the best welcome you want for your workout

Fantastic experience: The boxing corner of the gym creates a solid focus that gets everyone on the gym floor working hard and in a rhythm together. EL Kaptin Amar is the most prominent trainer in this section providing an abundance of positive energy and helping anyone that reaches out for assistance.

Fantastic experience: I’ve joined other Gym Groups around the the UK and this one doesn’t compared to them. All the equipment is new and the gym is kept clean and tidy. Plus they have personal trainers at the gym at all times, Amar is my favourite - best energy and always there to motivate you!
Fantastic experience: Excellent, with amazing staff especially Ludmila, equipment easy to use and easy to find. Feels easy going here. As someone’s who’s relativaly new to the gym I feel really at easy here at The Gym Group Paddington. Also have to mention Jenny and Ammar who have so much energy and so easy going as well and always on hand to help with anything. Credit to the gym group.

Fantastic experience: This gym is really convenient to use, never have any issues with getting onto machines (although I don't use the free weights which I know can be busy). Seems clean and tidy, would be good if they can put the blue cleaning rolls back with the spray though for people to wipe up as they go. Special thanks to Ludmila and Jenni for their classes too!

Fantastic experience: Signing up in the Gym group is really life changing! The facilities, equipments, and specially the trainers are really amazing! Paul Akin's classes are exceptional! He is indeed the Gym Group's gem. He go extra mile and build rapport with us too Thank you for bringing back his HIIT+LBT+Hyrox classes. Please keep it that way Amar's hyrox and LBT classes are great too. I appreciate how he make sure that we are doing things right... always Jeny's classes are really amazing! I like her and Laura's spinning class is fun. I also love Max's booty class a lot.
