Fantastic experience: Andy’s Wednesday early morning spin is something worth getting out of bed for, even on the coldest, wettest or frosty mornings. High energy, fabulous music and a really good way to kick off a “hump day”. I absolutely love it - thanks Andy

Fantastic experience: Attending the gym recently and attended Ants spin class, I really enjoyed the session and his music choice was very good. He made the class enjoyable and his energy and motivation helped drive the class. I will definitely be taking part in more of his classes.

Positive experience: You need Some more machines Like pack deck And like press And waiting too long

Positive experience: Big gym but still gets overwhelmed especially the car park at peak times. Plenty of scope to enlarge the cart park but it's never done. The music is awful and suited to kids. We are not all 19 believe it or not.

Fantastic experience: This gym is always clean. Plenty of equipment which is in good condition. Good vibe. Music too loud and intrusive for me- overpowers my own headphones at times and impacts on relaxation in the sauna. There is an ability to turn the music down in the changing room but volume appears to be staff specific. Having said that I love having my sauna after my workout and it's always clean. Main complaint is equipment not being put away after use but that is a member issue, not a gym one. Variety of classes and the bonus is that you don't have to book on to them, just turn up. 24hr access is fantastic for people trying to fit in work commitments.

Positive experience: I started going to JD Gym Bromborough 18months ago and started spin and body pump classes. I have since start circuit classes on a Saturday morning. Jade is great with regards the circuit classes. Steve and Kate's spin classes have great music, there classes are hard but they make it fun. Also Anthonys classes on a Wednesday morning good and hard work. It nice to see all 3 instructors classes busy. The only thing to point out is the spin bikes need to be looked at, they all vary in how well they work.

Negative experience: Good equipment in desperate need of a clean tho, dust everywhere it’s hard to get through a full workout

Fantastic experience: Best gym on the Wirral by a country mile. Specific mention to the spin classes, ran by Kate and “Stevie Baby” - you won’t find a better set of instructors who bounce off each other, making the classes fun but tiring at the same time (which is what it’s all about).

Fantastic experience: Excellent gym & more so an amazing spin instructor - Ste Allan at JD Gym Bromborough. I left my previous gym where I done spin classes and they weren’t motivating me or making me look forward to the class. Now when I come to Ste’s spin classes I leave feeling like I’ve worked hard but had a good time with a group of great people! He always has an excellent playlist for us and I’m happy to make the journey from Liverpool to come to his classes!

Fantastic experience: Best gym on the Wirral, the staff are all brilliant, I like the variety of classes especially Kate & Ste’s spin classes.

Positive experience: The gym is brilliant, lots of equipment, staff friendly. Kate and Ste’s spin classes are the best by far!! However, the car park is awful.

Negative experience: The cleanliness of the gym is poor. And there is only one pec deck machine.

Negative experience: If working hours for staff mon/Fri till 10pm how come 8pm no ones here to support? Scanning of the code wasn't working and there was no staff on site. Also emergency phone call waste of time... plus hygiene very poor, maybe it would be worthwhile to inspect cleaning standards. By the way no one was there at the time, I was pressing green button about 20 min.... do better

Fantastic experience: Nice new gym with professional equipment sometimes it’s a busy but if you’re going after the rush-hour, you can really enjoy the training

Negative experience: No drinking water, that bitter taste tap water Extremely poor thinking , only tap water (sub standers) Change room lock in the night , then don’t say 24/7 One entry in 24 hour poor standers

Positive experience: The hygiene really needs addressing. The locker room floors need serious mopping. The showers needed a proper clean too. There were no sprays or wipes around the gym to clean machines or benches down once you had finished or for before use and also none to wipe the matts down after use. I actually got a mat out in the studio and it was covered in sweat. It creeped me out so I ended up leaving my session early. I would have given 5 stars as the equipment is so amazing and I love how they have created the different sections with different Lighting. I particularly liked the squat rack section. All the machines are so new and brilliant also. Such a shame as I did have a great experience other than with the hygiene issues which for me is major. The staff were all lovely too and a nice bunch of people.

Positive experience: Halfway decent equipment, good deadlifting platforms, slightly stuffy atmosphere as it's dark, dank and dimly lit.

Fantastic experience: This is a very big gym with plenty of selection, depending on goals. This makes a change to a lot of gyms being ram packed constantly. It also has a sauna and good shower facilities.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, with all the equipment you could need for a fair price. Always kept clean and the staff are very friendly

Negative experience: Equipment good, staff friendly but it is absolutely filthy. Only clean the equipment once or twice a day, don't provide any disinfectant anymore. Machines become covered in wet and dry sweat. Very unhygienic. I was even told that I should use my towel to clean the equipment by staff when I asked for some disinfectant. The same towel I'm meant to use for my face?!

Fantastic experience: By far the best gym within the area, great atmosphere, with a wide range of equipment. All staff members are very knowledgeable and friendly, always approachable no matter how big or small the question may be. With a different range of classes for all abilities

Fantastic experience: Hi First time in the gym I had an excellent PT Jamie Vaughan for my induction. Jamie was very knowledgeable and very friendly made me feel ar ease. He showed me everything I need to know and if I am going to have any PT sessions it would be with Jamie. Also the gym has great class instructors l and had a LBT with Jade last night she was very good too.

Positive experience: Good gym, when it's busy it's abit chaotic

Fantastic experience: Great gym, great facilities, and great value for money. Gets very busy between 5-8pm so try to avoid these times

Negative experience: Awful and a waste a money. signed up yesterday when I’ve got there it wouldn’t even let me use my QR code. Paying for a gym that I can’t use.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best gym I have ever been a member of - tons of equipment - plenty of floor space - PT's & Staff are friendly, the fact that in late 2023 it went 24/7 is great. The price is very reasonable, proper group fitness classes. Heads & Shoulders above any other 24/7 operator.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. Great location, friendly staff. I attend the group exercise classes mostly that are great with some excellent trainers. The gym floor area has a lot to offer too with good quality equipment and plenty of space.

Positive experience: Always clean and smells fresh (unlike other popular gyms) Only issue is after 9:45, 75% of the treadmills and stairmaster are 'sleeping'.

Positive experience: Great gym. Loads of equipment, and the PTs and staff are always friendly and helpful. Air conditioning is on all the time, so the temperature is always perfect. Changing rooms are clean, the showers and sauna are fantastic and the cleaners are always tidying up through the day so it is always spotless, even against a tide of men who just drop their empty bottles etc on the floor. There are female cleaners in the male changing rooms (who do shout before they come in), which doesn't bother me as I don't tend to mince around with no clothes on. :D I have been a member of loads of gyms in the area and this is the best one I reckon.

Fantastic experience: Love it! I come all the way from Ellesmere Port here. Massive gym, with all equipment that you need for a good workout. However, I would suggest you try the classes too in specialy the spin class with Steve! Believe me, it is worth it. The sauna is nice to have for recovery, too.

Negative experience: Switching the showers off at 8am for maintenance. 10 minute prior warning. No signs up like.

Positive experience: Great gym, good classes. Changing rooms and showers are good as well. However, why is there a female cleaner in the male changing rooms? Regardless of times, the changing rooms are open and people get dried out the showers. This isn't acceptable. No consideration for a males privacy or anything, I highly doubt JD Gym would ever consider letting a male cleaner into the female changing rooms due to the uproar it would cause... but no, it's ok for men to have this awkward situation.

Its very spaced out and very good for people as myself with anxiety... I Would really recommend Paul Sherlock one of the Pts at Jd he's been a massive help towards myself with my nerves in the gym and really knows his stuff very patient and calm and so supportive Brilliant PT thanks for your help

Negative experience: Full of thieves! Left my hoodie (beige adidas hoodie with white stripes down the sleeves and across the hood) hanging up on the peg in the changing rooms for one minute while I went to the toilet. When I came back, some dirty tiprat had robbed it. Keep an eye on your belongings, and if you see anybody wearing that hoodie who isn't a short middle aged man with a shaved head and grey beard, you know that they've robbed it and who they robbed it from

Fantastic experience: Massive selection of machines, with staff on hand to help with queries plus regular cleaning programme. I like that they still have a cleaning station.

Positive experience: Large busy mainly weight lifting gym. Good gym overall with a good amount of Bench's and squat racks. Limited leg machines with only 2 leg press machines as an example compared to 12 squat racks and 25+ Bench's. PT turnover is high and if you go at school closing time there will be groups of 5/6 teenage lads/girls chatting near machines. Overall w decent gym for the price especially if your not going 4-5.30pm.

Positive experience: It was a perfect gym until they got rid of the good leg raises, please bring it back!!!

Negative experience: Way too over-subscribed. It's impossible to get on the equipment you need at peak times, usually due to a youth club gathering of teenagers sitting around using all the benches. If you can finish your workout and you want to get changed afterwards, you're greeted by ridiculously small changing facilities and a grand total of 5 hot showers and a sauna you can barely swing a cat in. Machines break and instead of fixing them, they just remove them. The staff there are non-existant, and when you do manage to spot one, the couldn't be more disinterested in helping if they tried.

Fantastic experience: - Affordable. - High quality smooth as butter machines and high quality Eleiko olimpic material. - Friendly helpful staff. Raoul, one of the managers, really good guy. - The place is overloaded with many plates and many dumbels apart on many different handles and attachments for the cable machines. - The machines, plates, dumbels, etc are perfectly tidy and clean, dumbels are beautifully ordered and on a perfect condition. - Friendly, welcoming, no judgment atmosphere. CONS: - Only one leg press machine, only one seated leg extension machine, only one hack squat. Training legs properly after 5pm cant be challenging.

Negative experience: Over crowded, plenty of wasted space, could add more equipements so people can train and finish their session, impossible to train after 17.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with million of equipment, great staff and plenty of space for everyone. Especially for new beginnings and occasional gym peoples. Even on the busiest times does not feel crowded be because of the size of the gym.

Positive experience: Too cold to workout. It was -6 today and the gym had air conditioning on. Couldn't feel my fingers or toes in their. The poor staff must suffer

Negative experience: I absolutely loved this gym, but then winter hit and it’s absolutely freezing in here, its not possible to do weights without doing any cardio as its just too cold the weights are unbelievably cold. Its such a shame all the staff are all lovely and to be honest they shouldn't have to work in freezing conditions

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic gym. The staff are professional, welcoming, knowledgeable and really keen to help. It’s the best equipped gym I’ve ever seen and the classes are plentiful, impactful and varied. There’s a nice vibe and a huge variety of clientele, and it doesn’t feel judgy or intimidating. Brilliant price point too.

Negative experience: Make sure you read the small print before joining, they have a 30 day clause in the pay monthly membership so no matter if you want to stop they will take another month of payment from your account.
