Fantastic experience: An excellent gym based in the heart of Woodley and reachable from Earley with good transport links. Fantastic free parking is available. The gym has excellent equipment and is very clean. The gym has undergone a recent refurbishment and is a nice place to visit. There is a wide selection of free weights and machines as well as new cardio machines. The owner and fitness instructors are approachable, friendly and are happy to provide you with advice. The gym goers are lovely, there is a brilliant vibe in the gym everyone is friendly and egos are left at the door. No real issues with it being too busy, you always have a wide selection of equipment to train. The gym goers are focussed and do not sit there in the machine scrolling on their phone which is a God send! There is free coffee on Thursdays and free fruit on Fridays. Its fantastic value for money, 24 hour access and you can subscribe to their hydro therapy massage service if thats your thing. I would 100% recommend this gym over other cheaper options as the customer experience and general gym experience is unrivalled at this price point. Thank you everyone at Anytime Fitness - Woodley.

Fantastic experience: A very clean and tidy gym. The equipment is in very good condition and is frequently updated. There is ample free parking. The owner of the club Jenny is very welcoming and so pleasant. She is very helpful and will always make time to listen to any comments and suggestions. The manager Zaria is also very friendly and helpful. Free coffee on Thursdays and Fridays and free fruit on Fridays! I would highly recommend this gym.

Positive experience: Good gym and good equipment, can sometimes get quite busy. That’s not a problem though… main thing is that majority of the time when it is hot in the gym the aircon isn’t on and can get very hot in here.

Fantastic experience: This is one of the best, and also cleanest, Anytime's I've been to in the UK. The studio is bright and spacious, and the equipment is in very good shape. The gym is clean everywhere, and you can tell that this is a gym that's well taken care of by everyone. The owner, Jenny, is great. You can tell that she genuinely cares about making this space very pleasant for everyone, and is motivated, considerate and super helpful. If all Anytime Fitness gyms were like this one, the whole brand would be lifted up. Well done all, keep up the good work. I look forward to working out there again soon.

Negative experience: Be careful what you sign up with them keep shifting goal and giving un realistic reason for cancellation your membership

Fantastic experience: Variety of cardio equipment, heavy free weights and plate loaded machines, punching bag, ab and stretching area. Caters for all. Equipment is modern, clean and well maintained. Friendly staff with owner often present and inquisitive as to how members are enjoying the gym. Anyone from novice to elite performer could benefit from this gym, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: One of the best, clean, reliable and affordable gyms I've been to, caring and understanding staff who make me feel comfortable and welcomed, and a bonus is it's open 24hr, with good staff timings, hygiene is important for me, and I've never had an issue in this gym, I'm glad I chose anytime fitness in Woodley, Machines are always in good condition, My recommendation is to include massaging hydro-bed in your membership package, you won't regret it ;) Positive atmosphere with friendly staff and members.

Fantastic experience: As a recent returnee to the gym after a prolonged absence (I previously only ever went occasionally, did my own thing, kept myself to myself ie never asked for help or guidance and in the end stopped going altogether!) I was offered the chance of a 1:1 review – which I took up. An appointment was scheduled, during which we discussed my lifestyle, motivation, expectations and diet & alcohol consumption. I was then introduced to some weight-bearing exercises to get me started and shown the correct techniques for posture and injury prevention, and how to warm down/stretch. I solo-worked on these exercises on subsequent gym visits and was then offered the chance to have an extended period of 1:1 coaching with the gym’s work experience trainee (good for me, good for his CV!) on a weekly basis, where we’ve been building on and adding to, the initial learnt exercises. After just three weeks I can already see & sense the improvement in my wellbeing eg I’m physically stronger; my knees are once more operating as they should; my trousers are starting to fit me more comfortably again; I think about what I’m eating, how much and when; I’m mindful of my alcohol consumption and have stuck to an agreed plan of action (NB my idea, no one is forcing me into anything!). If I feel this good after three weeks, I’m keen to see how I feel after six weeks, nine weeks, twelve weeks etc. As some of the gym literature states – “it’s not about being better than someone else, it’s about being better than you used to be”. True, that. All the staff without exception are always welcoming, friendly, supportive, interested in you and your gym (and life) achievements plus they’re knowledgeable, informed and keen on their chosen industry. I wish I’d asked for help before! I’m glad I go there.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful place to come and exercise, it can be busy at times but when it’s off Peak hours it’s very quick and easy to get things done. Good atmosphere as well, and very friendly helpful staff.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to this gym around 6 months. Has everything one might need for a strength and cardio training program. I usually train before 3pm and rarely find myself waiting for equipment. Unlike another couple of other gyms I’ve tried in Reading, the staff here are patient, helpful and respectful. And the bathrooms are actually clean! My partner joined me for a workout the other week and commented positively on the relaxed vibe and range of equipment :)

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym! I've been a member for a month now, and I couldn't be happier. The machines are quite new, which is fantastic, and it doesn't get too busy in general. Moreover, the Club Manager, Rebecca, is such a nice person and always goes out of her way to make sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a great workout experience!

I have got to say, I felt so welcomed in and the staff checked on me during my training to see if I needed anything, incredible! Shame I don’t live in the area, because I wouldn’t hesitate to be a member if so

Negative experience: I have been with anytime fitness for years now and when I moved to a different area I continued using them. When I could no longer afford to use them, I cancelled my membership. Since then I have had no end of issues. I was charged more money than I was paying in the first place for two months after. I called and emailed multiple times with no follow up or contact back. It was only when I didn't pay that the manager actually contacted me. This business only cares about your money not the customers it has. If I were you don't bother and find somewhere that is better and cheaper.

Fantastic experience: After a free trail, I knew this was the right gym for me, I got a member of the month after just two month’s being there as they noticed how quick I settled in and the hard work paid off which helped me climb Mount Kilimanjaro with friendly staff that care, help and support you, you can’t go wrong plus the gym has plenty of great equipment to train on and great atmosphere to train in, so highly recommend them and thank you team AF

Positive experience: Overpriced. Better off at pure gym. I was a member before Covid, yes its clean and has nice machines, but also often packed. The reason why i have given 3 stars is Pure Gym is £21 p/m, im not a supporter of PG but its less than half price! We are in Austerity times....

After the redo, equipment in wrong places, to close to other pieces, plates laid out wrong and in silly places, lack of bins so rubbish being left around the place, a lot of money spent but made it worse. Changing gyms!

I have been in and out of various gyms in Reading for over 30 years and anytime fitness Woodley has a great vibe going on. This is something vary rare in gyms these days IMO. The staff are very polite welcoming and friendly. Since the manager Jack has been at Woodley I has seen big improvements, so well done Jack, keep up the good work. The gym is always clean and tidy so well done guys. So if you looking for a well managed friendly gym then you can't go wrong here Come along and start getting comfortable with being uncomfortable. It will change your life for the better...... I promise.

Fantastic experience: It's a gym where you can have a good all-round workout whether you're advanced in your training or a beginner as it has all the equipment which they have changed and installed some new equipment which they do from time to time. The facilities are maintained and staff are at their office if you need help during normal hours. It's a popular gym in the week so be prepared as it does get busy at peak times. CCTV is located around the gym while working out in a safe environment at all times. Overall it's a gym worth a visit if you need to reach your fitness goals that are achievable for you at any level. They have recently done a mini refit and repositioned exercise machines to accommodate the new equipment and also to add an exciting new crossfire section. Check it out and if in Maidenhead visit their gym which is also impressive.

Negative experience: Noticed the last review on here, I was there today for the first time being out of my area branch of anytime and was shocked by the fact they allow these “chuggers” to stand by the entrance to pounce on people just coming to use the facilities, there is enough of this on the high streets, its not on to happen in a gym.

Positive experience: Good gym one of my favourites to go too, however you are sometimes met with indoor chuggers at the front which is a real put off for me.
