Positive experience: Spent a sports day here with my school on a trip. Did not see much staff and was not greeted or welcomed by any staff. Did not have any real customer service or support. Bought coffee from a machine. One student snapped his tibia in half during the sports day and I not a single staff member from the centre came to assist!

Negative experience: We have been coming to train here once a week for nearly a year and pay our club fees monthly. Now Lee valley has decided to charge £20 a month on top of our original fees to just get through the doors!! Not acceptable with trying to get youngsters, teens to keep active this is really putting a negative impression on Lee valley shame on you!!

Negative experience: Urgent Concern: Unfair Membership Fee Increase I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent changes to the membership fee structure. This new system is particularly disheartening given that sport clubs are already incurring significant charges from the venue. As a parent of three children who are passionate about practicing, training, and competing in sports, this decision has profound implications for us. The increased fees risk forcing my children to abandon their activities, which is far from the vision I had for their involvement in sports. This issue transcends financial concerns; it directly impacts the mental health and well-being of our children. Sports provide essential balance in their lives and contribute positively to their development. For many families, these activities are vital for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I urge you to reconsider and revise this decision as soon as possible. There is a growing sentiment among parents and members who are contemplating leaving due to this unfair policy. The current direction undermines the ethics and values of sportsmanship and inclusivity that we all hold dear

Negative experience: Although the centre is fit for purpose, I am utterly appalled at the new fees introduced at Lee valley. We are regularly told that there is a epidemic of obese children, as parent we have put our kids into sports to make sure they are healthy and occupied, these fees do nothing but undermine initiatives made by the government to target this issue. With the current unattainable living costs, it is obvious families will have to pull their children out of their respective sport they attend at your centre. My 12 year old uses Lee valley once a week, being expected to pay £5 per session (while her club is also charged) is completely unfair and frankly immoral. I have been travelling from north west London to use your facilities for two years as this is where her club trains. Granted, I could move her but why should my child have to change her whole support group, friends and coaches because of an already wealthy corporation? £240 a year is a lot- especially when you factor in the financial issues most social-economical groups are facing. Please consider that some families have multiple children that use Lee valley, how can they realistically afford to sustain this?! The fees need to be reviewed.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful centre with loads of potential. The centre has lots of parking space and great ease of access. It has an indoor and an outdoor athletic track. There are toilet and shower room facilities. The staff are very friendly and informative. The duty manager Matthew was very helpful and took his time to show us around the centre. The centre itself is a little dated but on a whole the experience was enjoyable.

Positive experience: Great centre for athletes in the running arena. A simple gym. Half the staff are great. Half the staff are questionable. One member asked me how long I'd be on the treadmill. I got off because the gym is so small people turned and looked and I was embarrassed. If been on 10 mins and hadn't finished but whatever I'm not sure I should have even been put in that position by a staff member whether they had finished work or not. P.s. I'm a Better staff member and society member.

Positive experience: Ok track (very tight turns) and ok seating. Plenty of parking. Not easy to get to via public transit. Limited food options around.

Positive experience: Great facilities for certain things. Not so for others. Looks like time management of various activities can be organised better. Staff most of the times seems uninterested in working there and are more busy with their own business using the facilities.

Fantastic experience: What a great facility for budding athletes. Indoor and outdoor tracks and loads of seating for spectators. Knowledgeable, expert and friendly coaches in activities including javelin, long jump, sprint, hurdles and shot put. A must if your children have any interest in trying athletics.

Fantastic experience: First time visit. Granddaughter taking part in holiday activities. What a great venue for them including GB track and field athletes training alongside.

Fantastic experience: This must be one of my favourite athletics tracks in England. A beautiful blue indoor 200m track. It regularly hosts big competitions and is just one of the best tracks ever.

Fantastic experience: Although, it's in the middle of nowhere. It's one of the best places to train in the UK. I still don't understand why there isn't anywhere to buy food!!!

Fantastic experience: Went to a Minithon for under 11's and under 13s. Children had a brilliant day, so well organised, loads of great races. Ojie Edoburun met kids, let them wear his commonwealth gold medal , signed autographs and gave out medals at the end of the competition. Brilliant facilities and free parking. Our young athletes had an amazing time as did our coaches and parents. Really looking forward to the next Minithon in March.

Fantastic experience: Seeing this in door track for the first time made me dig out my old trainers and go for a run. Awsome venue, very friendly and helpfull staff.

Positive experience: Great facility...but the running track is useless...if you get drawn in the outside lane you have no chance of winning ...why build the running track soooooo smalll..and uphill/ downhill....???

Fantastic experience: Full disclosure: no sports were engaged in this visit... Instead there was a massive Wargaming event (London GT) for fans of Warhammer and other Niche Modelling Games. However, the indoor arena was still very impressive (even if it was fillled with sweaty geeks) and the toilets were able to withstand the onslaught of the Street Food Market that was set up to cater for the event. The venue itself was easy to get to from the M25 and had reasonable parking. It also felt that if used for its intended purpose, it would offer great facilities for athletic events. As it turned out, it also offered great facilities for unathletic events too

Fantastic experience: Myself and a friend are new members. We do some classes and use the facilities ourselves from time to time. The classes are great, you aren't judged, always encouraged. George who does bootcamp is brilliant, down to earth, pushes you, and you have a good giggle with him whilst working hard. The hour flies by. Everyone who works there is always so friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: A nice place to wine and dine at the Cyprus wine festival in lee Valley leisure centre once a year and has a big amount of things to see and enjoy

Negative experience: Odeon cinema. What a joke.. freezing cold no paper in the machine to print out our tickets out. Slow queue to get snacks plus our seats where covered in popcorn. What a total disgrace...

Positive experience: Used the indoor track, along with probably another 70+ people. The only refreshments were from machines. Toilets never flush properly and always block up.

Negative experience: Shocking organisation of athletics meeting. Children exposed to bullying while waiting for race as put in with adults, seeding athletes all over the place. Poor description of event with no mention of putting children with boys and adults mixed. No estimate for races had to wait race supposed to start at 10 didn't run until 11.40 had to do 3 Warm ups as unsure of when running, oh and did I mention had to walk from one end of complex to see what race you were in from warm up area!!! Take spikes off, oh wait they haven't put out yet..... 6 trips later. 1 star is generous. Spend a year building youngsters up to get trashed in one shocking event!!!!!!! Never again. avoid

Fantastic experience: Love this place, will be here again to race next year

Positive experience: I attended this centre for a wargaming show so I can't say 5 out of 5 as I have no idea what the equipment/ changing facilities are like. What I can say is plenty of parking, good disabled access, plenty of available toilets which were in great condition even by the end of the day. The only thing I would say is there is no cash machine on site so if like me you are attending an event where some traders don't take card make certain you get some cash before you get there.

Positive experience: Good, well kept indoor athletics track. Plenty of parking even with a chunk of it being taken over by a covid test centre. Staff are friendly. Only complaint is that the toilet flush doesn't flush anything away.

Negative experience: Used as a venue for a show. Car park capacity reduced by the C-19 and motorcycle training and had to use the Vue car park instead. Very limited facilities - oh , yes, COVID reduced capacity.... As a venue, it's huge and lots of room on the athletics track infield. An interest magical mystery ride off the A406 if you're driving there.......

Positive experience: I didn't visit the Athletics Centre. I was there for a PCR test, which is in part of the car park of Lee Valley Athletics Centre

Positive experience: Finding parking spaces can be a challenge as most of car park still used as a Covid testing centre

Negative experience: The rules that is currently in place is discriminating disable people. These are disabled people that cannot access booking online. I was told that they only help elderly people booked over the phone. My son is autistic he need to be able to book in the centre but was told that he was not allowed to. I was very upset when I heard this. When I was talking to the manager about it she was very dismissive and rude. They need to have a guideline for all the children with Eden disability is because they are putting them at risk.

Fantastic experience: This is a fantastic venue inside and out! The staff are extremely professional and willing to answer any questions and don't change what they told on the phone and try to charge you more when they meet you! The venue matches the images that are online! That is not always the case at other venues where the advert doesn't match what the actual venue looks like now.

Fantastic experience: Went there for a COIVD test as its been converted into a big testing centre and I was truly astonished how prepared and organized they are. They have specific lines to follow as well as people that guide you to specific areas. It isn't crowded and there are clear instructions.

Fantastic experience: I attended the Covid-19 drive through testing centre today. It exceeded all my expectations! Everyone was extremely polite, and it was such a well oiled machine! The system is so smooth and well thought off, that I am blown away! I didn't register prior, and I chose to do the test myself in the car. Kudos to the whole team! I am well impressed!
