Fantastic experience: Amazing experience with Helen, the tour was extremely informative and we were shown all aspects of the club. As a result myself and my partner joined following Helen’s excellent experience, professionalism and knowledge.

Negative experience: Run down, out of date, multiple pieces of broken equipment every visit. Dirty restaurant, run down pool facilities. Comparing this club to other David Lloyd's we visit says it all. This club is neglected and was due a refurb when they took it over and yet still looks the same. The pool has multiple mosaics missing, mold and damp all over the ceiling above the hot tub, buckets in the ladies changing room catching all the damp drips. Spoken to the staff and put through emails and just get "sorry we know it's due a refurb but we can't do anything" It's just not good enough for the premium price point. After complaining several times and being told they are aware of the issues but no plans to change anything, even being told to upgrade so I can visit other clubs (which I already can), I've cancelled my membership and look forward to spending over £100 a month on the local country club. Being a rubbish club is not an upsell opportunity and disappointed to see this recommended. Don't waste your money, time, or being tied into a contract at this below par club.

Fantastic experience: We have been apprehensive about joining, however Kev in Sales got us down to have a look around. The tour was brilliant and answered near on all the questions we had before we needed to answer! The staff are all welcoming and friendly and it felt like we’d been members forever!

Fantastic experience: I saw julie sports massage therapist again today to what a gem. She released my lower back which inturn released the pain in my knee. I fully recommend her and I'll be back. Thank you Julie

Negative experience: The gym has not been updated since maybe 2004? The changing rooms and the gym equipment is the same as when it was Hampshire tennis and health club years ago and is looking sorry for itself and dated compared to gyms nowadays that are a fraction of the price. For some reason in the past year or so the gym is now full of packs of literally children, some as young as I’d say 11-13 years old sitting round on the equipment on there phones or groups of teenagers in the free weights bit trying to lift stuff way to heavy for them while filming each other. If you think paying more will get you better you’re going to be disappointed. There’s far better gyms out there nowadays for a lot less money.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Julie (sports massage therapist) for a while now and she is wonderful. Very welcoming and professional and reduces my pain everytime. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Julie is the best sports therapist at the club! I can’t recommend her highly enough! Her expertise and personalised approach made a significant difference in my recovery. She is so intuitive and knowledge about the human body. She took the time to understand my specific needs, areas of pain and tailored each session accordingly. The environment was always welcoming and professional, which made every visit a positive experience. Thanks to their guidance, I’ve improved my performance and reduced my pain significantly. She always make time for her patients and goes above and beyond to treat them. If you’re looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable sports massage/ therapist, look no further. Julie is your person!

When I came on my open day I could not join in due to going away and he still gave me full tour of the place, gave useful tips and recommendations and kept me informed about best offers. After a hard hit about the court on a Saturday she always knows how to serve up my coffee order perfectly and with a smile

Fantastic experience: We’ve been members of DL West End for quite a few years now, we do classes, tennis and PT sessions. Staff are friendly and helpful. I PT with Kev once a week and also attend his classes twice a week - he is a great member of the DL team. He continues to motivate you, push you and keep you focused on your goals - all whilst having fun and not taking no for an answer !! Facilities could do with a bit of refresh - looking a bit dated now … but all in all wouldn’t go anywhere else!!

Positive experience: We have been members of the club for several years now. It has a great atmosphere, people are generally friendly. The staff, swimming, kids club, creche, classes and PTs are great. Especially Sam's Rythm class and all of Kev Feaver's classes, he is a great PT and has been very motivational. The only thing that unfortunately lets the club down are the facilities, it is definitely due a refurb in places.

Fantastic experience: I'd lost my gym motivation and so booked in for 'just a few' PT sessions to get some news routines and it's now been 3 months and counting. Sessions with Kevin Feaver are good fun whilst also effective... He makes you work, no excuses allowed, but you'll be having a laugh at the same time.

Fantastic experience: Cyclone with Val Barton at David Lloyd West End, what a great workout to killer tunes! It’s a super way to keep fit, like spin but with an extra kick, keeping pace with the plan if you can. Work at your own individual level whilst Val mixes up the rides and motivates you all the way through ‍♂️

Fantastic experience: Kevin Feaver is absolutely brilliant. He is such a great PT and really knows his stuff. He not only helped me to get to my goal for my wedding, he has also now adapted our sessions due to me currently being pregnant. He is a very supportive PT and is able to train such a wide range of abilities! His classes are also fab! If you are thinking about booking a personal trainer, I 100% recommend Kev! If you are just looking to join some fun, supportive classes where you are also challenging yourself, then look for the classes ran by Kev! A true asset to the gym!

Fantastic experience: Had a tour around David Lloyd’s today. It’s my first time visiting a David Lloyd’s and I was quite nervous of what to expect as a single mother. I highly recommend seeking out Kevin, he put me at ease, was a very friendly chap and answered all my questions. 5 stars ⭐️

Negative experience: I am having to give this not because the club is bad because it’s actually great. But my issues have been trying to cancel my membership because I’m moving abroad. You can only do this online and no one has bothered to message back and it has been around 3 weeks?? Also my partner left her headphones but we live in birmingham and they are very distinctive and bright pink like AirPods when we phoned the club they said they were definitely there however because we lived in Birmingham we said it would probably take us a while to come and retrive them. However tragically they told us it was policy to throw everything away every 10 days. Which is fair enough but we asked if they could very kindly keep them pacific AirPods and guess what? No they couldn’t, not a verygood image for David Lloyds. Club facilities are okay but once they have you the customer service is zero.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: Just also had a sports massage session with Julie as was suffering with aches and tension from work. I could not recommend more highly, found her very insightful and picked up on so much that I would’ve not realised if it wasn’t for Julie’s professional help. Honestly felt a lot lighter and will be looking to book again at a later time for sure! Just wanted to mention how excellent one of the personal trainers is, Leanne! I got three free sessions for joining and just happened to pick Leanne at random. Thought she was very insightful, pleasant to be around and all in all just very good at her job. Much better experience compared to other personal trainers I’ve tried in the past

Negative experience: 1 star until they fix the roof which has more leaks than Kier Starmer's office. But really that's just an symptom of the lack of maintenance in general, it badly needs paint and fixing around the place in general.... broken lights, peeling walls, missing tiles, tennis nets with holes in etc etc.
