Fantastic experience: I've actually taken the plunge to join a gym that caters for what I need. Having been shown around by Nicole, who was super friendly, reasuring and knowledgeable. I had a good guided tour of the facilities and equipment. I was super impressed with the atmosphere and the range of classes together with the modern equipment that's available. So all that left is for me to get on with it.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 service from Peterborough branch - Ben was very helpful, informative and delivered great customer service. Cancelled my membership the start of the year, but came back to rejoin, very simple process! Thanks Ben.

Negative experience: I’m owed a refund it’s taken a month for them to deal with and they still haven’t dealt with it. I have emailed, I’ve sent a in app queries and I’ve called. Once they take money they ghost you. There was a duplicate payment of the joining fee and 1st month taken from me meaning it was taken twice. I contacted them straight away to rectify I was owed a full refund if the duplicated payment. I then decided to cancel within my 14 day cooling off period so I was owed the actual payment minus the usage of 5 days. I’m still owed money yet they just don’t seem to comprehend the issue regardless of sending them evidence in almost every correspondence and now I’m being penalised for it. You will have great difficulty getting your money back .

Fantastic experience: I was shown around the club and facilities by Ben, and I must say I was utterly impressed! Such a friendly, yet professional young man! Needless to say I joined there and then.

Fantastic experience: Nice gym, lots of classes. Could be more free classes for kids. Special 5* for Neil Carr for group cycling on wed morning, so much energy, motivation, power, communication, positive attitude :)

Negative experience: Setup very strange, worst setup out of all of them I been to. Rained alot and couldn't believe 20 leaks in restaurant, had to shut restaurant down. Needs severe renovations there

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of David Lloyd for a few months now and I’m absolutely loving the gym facilities and classes. The personal training sessions have been incredible! I have booked PT sessions with Rimante, she’s fantastic—extremely knowledgeable and always tailors each workout to my needs. She’s also provided invaluable guidance on nutrition, an area I’ve struggled with in the past. Couldn’t recommend her enough!

Fantastic experience: Nicole has just given me a tour of the gym and signed me up to become a member. She was really helpful and gave a detailed friendly tour of the gym. By the looks of the gym so far, I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a good gym in Peterborough.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined the gym and the PT sessions with Rimante were just what I needed to get myself back into a routine and improve my knowledge of how to achieve better results in less time, to work around a busy schedule. Rimante was able to provide me with great ideas on how to improve my workout with different levels of challenge. I would certainly book the sessions again in the future and would recommend them to anyone, regardless of their prior gym experience.

Positive experience: We’ve only been for a look around but thought we’d post our views. For context, I was a DL member 20 years ago at a brand new complex. Peterborough’s branch is impressive, if a little tired-looking. It could really do with a refresh; nothing major: paint and new carpets in the cafe would do. The cafe was busy with rather annoying, badly parented kids, who ran around screaming. Not my idea of a way to relax after a good workout. Facilities looked good, not too busy for a Sunday afternoon. Parking spaces woefully inadequate. Door denting potential high. Benjamin showed us around. Super chap. Very friendly and helpful. We’ll probably sign up but I’ll be going in my old van when the kids are back at school!

Fantastic experience: Ben gave us a tour around the Peterborough David Lloyd club and we really enjoyed it. He gave us all the details we needed, was able to answer every question without doubt and sold us on joining. The newly designed pool facilities look amazing - can’t wait to spend some time there!

Fantastic experience: I had a tour of the facilities today with Ben and I was determined not to make an impulsive decision about signing up but I had such a wonderful time today that I see absolutely no reason not to. The facilities look amazing, the timetable is packed with stuff - including Drag Bingo tonight! Ben was incredibly thoughtful and tailored the tour to what I would be interested in and took a real interest in my fitness journey and we also spoke about general life and career goals and I didn't feel like he was trying to sell me something for the sake of it. 10/10 service to him and Nicole who I spoke with on reception who showed the same care and attention to general members and myself. I had a lovely chat with her until Ben arrived for my tour. I cant wait to go back and it's been a matter of hours since I left.

Negative experience: The bar staff that's starts at 1600hrs are absolutely shocking I just gave them a hole pizza back and not single question on what's a matter with it and it was my first and last time here I had a family days pass and I don't want to come back here again

Fantastic experience: We’ve been members for about a year now. This club is a very good value for the price. The class instructors are top notch and the indoor pool/sauna/hot tub/ steam room are brand new.

Negative experience: everything is fine with the gym. but some managers do not know how to talk to people, guest workers and customers. . maybe they should be sent to politeness courses.

Fantastic experience: My son has played tennis at david lloyd, Peterborough, for 11 years. His coach, Paul Lee, is outstanding. He has excellent technical knowledge and has always made my son's lessons informative and fun - the perfect balance between taking the sport seriously and making it enjoyable for kids. I cannot thank Paul enough - thank you so much for everything Paul. Also, it's great to see Ethan becoming a member of the coaching team last year - an excellent tennis player and a great coach himself.

Fantastic experience: I joined Peterborough DL about 6-7 weeks ago with my 7 year old daughter and we have loved it! The variety of classes for my daughter is amazing and means I can get a good workout or attend a class without any guilt! Every single person we have encountered have been kind & helpful. Food is delicious and we have to limit ourselves as its so easy and tasty! Ive also have excellent PT sessions with Rimante who is so knowledgeable, patient and really takes the time understand individual needs. I have been going to a gym for years but learnt so much from her PT sessions and can already feel the benefits. Would highly recommend her!! Overall we love it and its the best investment we are making as a family to look after our health.

Positive experience: Very nice staff and PT's with a nice upgrade in the pool area coming soon. Food from the cafe is nice. The DL kids clubs are a great way to get the kids out while getting a work out in.

Fantastic experience: We’ve had a family membership here for just over a month now, and we love it. Facilities are great, classes are at varied times, which is great for my shift work, and the kids love the pool. Staff are also great and helpful. Highly recommended for a family.

Positive experience: Staff always friendly and helpful. Good variety of equipment and pool facility. Seem to be making gradual improvements since I joined in August 2023.

Negative experience: Attended the gym at 3pm on Wednesday. Brought a guest with me. Was charged £2 for a towel for them. I asked if this could be waived considering the weeks and weeks the sauna and steam room cumulatively have been out of action for during my membership. This was denied because it was “company policy”. This kind of inflexibility is where the disconnect develops with your members. Not only this, but it showed the guest I brought in how some staff treat the members. Not very well. I was willing to forgive the maintenance to the facilities by leaving no review, but unfortunately this lack of seeing the big picture pushed it enough to cause me to want to share my experience with others.

Fantastic experience: The facilities are excellent, great gym and the spa has recently been renovated.

Fantastic experience: Membership here costs quite a bit more than other gyms, but you do get more, including a 25m swimming pool. On platinum membership, you also get free towels and tennis included. Excellent classes run by friendly and knowledgeable trainers, although many tend to get fully booked. Facilities are generally good, although maintenance could be better.

Positive experience: Great equipment and well kept as cables aren't jammy and benches don't have tears in them literally only thing missing is a plain metallic lat pull down bar but that's just because I don't like the rubber grips also when signing up I got 3 free pt sessions with Rimante (idk if I spelt it right ) she just helped me getting back into leg day but she asked about my nutrition and all that so she can definitely help with more than just that she also showed me a bunch of new workouts for legs and core that I haven't done before

Fantastic experience: I love Beth’s enthusiasm for the job and Ethan is just superb and he engages with all of the children that he coaches. Nardia always welcomes everyone with a smile and tells them to enjoy the clubs experience. Allison welcome all of her swimming students with a smile and is a great teacher Lucy has also always has a smile and seems cheerful to be here making everyone in the club enjoy there experience . Ethan always brings good enjoyment to the clubs and make them a fun time. Donna always welcomes everyone with a cheery smile and I can tell that she really loves her job. All the ones I have not mentioned are good too, but these ones stand out the most.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! After years of debating whether to join it’s now part of the weekly routine. Special thanks to stretch instructor Kate Spears who is helping with all the aches and pains as I get older!

Negative experience: Disgraceful. We pay so much money for this club for a terrible time. The pool inside is always freezing and horribly dirty, tiles are all off the floor and now they don’t even allow guests past 5 due to “peak times”, it’s normally empty! If only Thomas Cook or Virgin had stayed. Get out of here David Lloyds.

Positive experience: Great fitness environment. Offers many facilities, including swimming pool and a great lounge. Food is fantastic, and the trainer Darren is very professional. Saunas are great but unavailable often. Edit: Darren is a 5 star personal trainer, however in terms of facilities, I credit 4 stars for maintenance.

Positive experience: The staff are incredible and that is what makes the place lovely- Donna, Nardia, Sabine, Katie, Leonie & Kay always give us a warm welcome but they can do only what they are here to do!!! The changing rooms are leaking, pool is dirty, water always cold, sauna hardly works, machines always dirty- unwipped and chewing gum stuck on them and finally noisy kids make the club lounge sound like a fish market until 7:30 therefore members etiquette needs to be in check! Needs to serve every member’s purpose especially for the exorbitant fees we pay !!

Positive experience: Really great gym, a little expensive but think the facilities and club feel are worth it. Looking forward to them renovating the pool and spa, would love some more sun loungers in there. Only complaint is that the smoothies are either amazing or awful (just powder and milk) no in between haha.

Positive experience: Nice facilities, big area to workout in, good quality kit. Could be more squat racks (3 currently) as these get occupied when the gyms busy first thing in the morning.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member for about 4.5 years now and I have to say it feels like a second home. The staff especially, always make it a lovely experience. I use the gym, pool/Spa area and classes and find the app excellent for booking in what I want to do each week.

Fantastic experience: David Lloyd Peterborough is everything we need for our children! DL kids means we can train and know our children are safe and having fun!! Lucy, Jenny, Emily and Sarah have been phenomenal, not only great for our children’s development but also keeping us sane as a family!

I have worked with Sabine on some of my personal training sessions and Sabine is really lovely, very helpful and gives very good PT advise on what will benefit me, really appreciate learning about the skills in training. Also she helped introduce me to Pickleball which i enjoy a lot as well. Always willing to help and advise anytime i see her at the gym. Thanks Sabine!!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience @DL Peterborough. The gym has very good facilities and services even for the kids as I have a family membership. We use the gym and it has very good selections of equipments along with pool, steam and sauna. I had booked a PT session with Darren and he has given the best experience at DL. He has given personalised training and genuinely cares about what I need when it comes to my fitness. Darren always care about my health after my work out especially soreness and give suggestions for the food and well being recommendations. Thank you Darren for the motivation and enjoyable fitness journey :)

Negative experience: I went to a David Lloyd gym as a customer, but when I traveled for 2 months, I had already paid and wanted to cancel my membership. However, I was threatened with a bad credit score and collectors coming to my door if I didn't pay for an extra month. I thought it was a premium club, but it's just an ordinary sports club with nothing special and rude staff. I don't recommend it. Be cautious when signing your subscription. Of course, I did pay.

Fantastic experience: Leonie covered yoga this week and i was going to cancel my class as it wasn’t my usual Instructor. But I’m so grateful I didn’t. Her instructions were clear with options I could managed. I left feeling more felixaeble (which I am not at all) and I slept so well that night. Thank you

Fantastic experience: My five year old boys have absolutely loved the DL kids team and all the great kids activities at David Lloyd since they were babies. Lucy and the team are absolutely brilliant with all the children and it makes life so much easier as a very active family!

Fantastic experience: Great gym, always clean, never too busy when I go. Decent choice of machines, though I’m not a fan of a seated leg press machine where the seat moves. Heard the pool is lovely, but I have a crippling phobia of water so have never been near it. Have had a number of sessions with Sabine the PT, always helpful and friendly. She really gave me confidence and knowledge upon first attending the gym regularly and still offers support and insight now. Would definitely recommend this place, just don’t go when I do.

Fantastic experience: A well equipped leisure facility with friendly staff. A special mention for my PT Sabine, who is always available for advice and encouragement. Also the lively and friendly pickleball community - well done Pep for creating such a great atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Love going to the gym! The classes are excellent and really fun, especially Dance Fitness, and my PT Sabine is the absolute best. She has helped me gain loads of confidence and I love my sessions.

I signed up my kickstart PT sessions with Sabine and she has been fantastic. I never knew I needed a PT until I had sessions with Sabine. From our first meeting she listened to my needs and made me feel comfortable. I have already seen progress towards my goal and I thoroughly enjoy my sessions. I have also tried some of the classes and there is something to suit all abilities. The cafe is also warm and welcoming - great food and a lovely atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: I have returned to David Lloyd after a break. I absolutely love it. The people doing the classes are really friendly and helpful. I am really feeling the benefit of Neil's fitness yoga and this has been helped by Sabine's PT sessions where they have really focussed on Core Strength. Sabine has really listened to what I wanted and tailored my workouts to this. Thank you. The app is great and the workouts are all stored in there for ease of access.

Fantastic experience: Jordan’s 360 Synrgy class on a Friday morning is one I cannot recommend highly enough. He caters for all abilities, explains the moves and their benefits and actually makes the whole experience fun.

Fantastic experience: After a long career in the military I found myself becoming unfit and lacking motivation so I decided to join the David Lloyd gym in Peterborough. As part of the induction I had 3 sessions with Darren Thompson over the first month and these have been transformational. He has a fantastic manner and really knows how to push and challenge and within a very short period of time knew what would work for me. I have seen immediate positive effects and even when not on a personal session he is there with a tip on how to do exercises better. Actually when in the gym I have to look around to see if he is about which motivates me even more to train in the correct manner. We share a similar age and service background and I genuinely feel I have a friend as well as an excellent trainer. He is a credit to the club but I must also add all of the trainers I have interacted with are always polite and friendly. You can really see the fun people are having in the sessions which is fantastic.
