Negative experience: The music is soooooooooo loud i can feel it in my bones. I have raised this with staff and complaints department but I'm being completely ignored. We all can hear the frequent announcement therefore raising the volume to a painful level is not necessary. This is going to cause hearing damage in the long term and is a safety issue.

Positive experience: I’ve been a lifelong resident of Wembley and have experienced a range of gyms in the area, including Better Gyms Alperton, Wembley Central Gym Group, and Pure Gym Wembley. This gym is definitely one of the better options, and after four months of working out here, I feel qualified to give an honest review. Staff: The staff here are friendly and approachable. I haven’t had any issues with them, except for one trainer who stands out. The 6ft Italian looking fella, very bubbly seems like a nice chap. My only problem with him is his behavior around equipment can be frustrating. He often claims multiple machines at once when he’s with a client, acting as though the gym is his private space. For instance, there was a time when he was using the squat rack for his client’s workout. As I went to set up on the nearby Smith machine, he stopped me, saying he was using it too, though it was clear his client wasn’t. Another time, he was using both cable machines with different attachments for simple tricep and bicep exercises, instead of adjusting a single cable to different heights. His insistence on monopolising equipment—especially during peak hours—creates a sense of entitlement that feels disrespectful to other gym-goers who are waiting. It’s as if he expects everyone else to work around him and his client’s needs, treating shared equipment as his personal training area. Other than this, the staff is great and creates a positive environment. Machines: The equipment here is typical of what you’d find in a commercial gym, mostly Matrix machines, but having duplicates of many is a big plus since the gym can get busy. There’s a ton of cardio equipment, and I’ve never seen a wait for those machines, so cardio enthusiasts will enjoy it here. The gym has over seven benches, which is more than most commercial gyms I’ve been to, and the dumbbells arent those cheap rubber ones that easily fall apart, going up to 60kg, which should satisfy those on gear. They also have mag grip attachments, which are a nice touch and not something you often see in commercial gyms. The gym provides a basket to keep attachments organised, which keeps the area tidy. While some people complain about weights or attachments lying around, it’s really up to members to put their equipment back. It would be unreasonable to expect staff to constantly clean up after everyone. However, i do believe they give the free weights sections a good tidy once every two days. I have two suggestions for improvement: First, the gym could swap one of the three squat racks near the dumbbells with an additional Smith machine. This would help with efficiency and reduce waiting times. Second, replacing the lying hamstring curl machine with a seated one would offer members more variety and, for many, a more effective workout. Also, it’s scientifically proven to be a much superior machine for optimal hamstring curls. Implementing these two small but vital changes will make a significant difference in the members experience and im sure you can agree. Space and Cleanliness: This gym is the largest in the area, with a lot of space for free weights and machines. There’s plenty of room for exercises like walking lunges, so even when it’s busy, it doesn’t feel cramped. That said, peak times can see 170+ members, so expect a crowd then. The natural light and bright LED lighting make the space feel open and welcoming—much better than the dark, gloomy atmosphere at some other gyms. It can sometimes get a bit smelly, but that’s on the members, not the gym. For £24 a month, people can afford deodorant! The cleaners work hard and keep the gym as clean as possible. If it’s dirty, it’s usually because members aren’t respecting the space. A small improvement would be adding sanitising wipes, as it would be helpful for members who want to wipe down equipment after use. I get that it will be expensive but dont be cheap. Never cheap out on hygiene. Overall, it’s a great gym with a welcoming staff, good equipment, and a well-kept environment.
Positive experience: It’s a good spacious gym with lots of equipment. But… people leaving their weights behind and also this… people think it’s ok to leave chewing gum on treadmills ??? That’s absolutely nasty. How can you even think that’s a good idea? Whoever did this is a disgusting individual that needs their gym contract terminated..
Positive experience: Never been to a commercial gym always been used to private gyms or my home gym. However coming here is good there are plants of machines and I didn’t need to change my split at all when joining. However one issue, either an increase in cable machines or some restriction. Sometimes I see the same group of kids, 6 of the 10 cable machines and often you ask if you jump in and they say no. They on them for 2 hrs+ however they sit there talking for most of the time. Just wish maybe some of the PTs would come over and just tell people that are hogging machines to just hurry up or be aware other people wnat to use them. However I’m aware this isn’t the fault of the gym. But I know this is something they can help fix. Other then they are great
Negative experience: This gym is always smelly and never ventilated with fresh air. You can barely breathe when there are 50people inside. They will probably respond with a standard non-sense reply.

Negative experience: Yesterday, I visited the gym, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by some major issues. The washroom had an overflow problem, making it completely unusable. The smell was overpowering and quite unpleasant, which detracted from the overall environment. On a positive note, some of the staff members were very friendly and helpful, which was appreciated. The equipment was decent and met my workout needs, but the hygiene issue really needs to be addressed for a better overall experience.

Negative experience: Rude staff member: I’ve been a member of The Gym Group for years and travel with work and visit many different branches however I won’t be returning to this gym. Unfortunately one of your PTs (Marvin) needs to learn some manners and maybe have a lesson in people skills. Approaching a woman (mid set) who is still using the rack in question and threatening to give me “a ban” (next time) because I put my plates on the floor next to me is not great. I’d definitely appreciate this being said to me if I’d walked away from the rack and left them on the floor (coincidentally this is how I actually found them in the first place) however he could clearly see I was still using the rack and space. Perhaps a little “Hi, just to check that you’ll be putting these away after using them before you leave the rack? Thanks so much” would have been better, to which I would have answered “of course… I always do”. Interesting that a man who had left plates on the floor of the rack next to me didn’t get a telling off… Think about your tone in future and don’t be rude. Strutting around in an intimidating manner isn’t a great look. Considering your job is all about people wanting to feel good - check yourself and do better. Also, extremely interesting to read other reviews on here and see the same person has been rude to others. Nice one.

Negative experience: I recommend to get the monthly membership. With the year membership you can’t get Yanga water. The use of a scale cost £2.5. There are no wipes to clean the machines. In summer, you have to workout at 35-40 degrees.

Negative experience: APPALLING & HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS at The Gym group of Wembley Park. The air conditioning system is completely dysfunctional, and has created a breeding ground for black mold. The air quality is so poor that it's virtually impossible to breathe without feeling ill, and it smells disgustingly awful. Black mold is a serious health risk, linked to respiratory issues, asthma development, and severe complications for asthma sufferers. It's absolutely unacceptable that the gym exposes its members to this danger! To make matters worse, the only room with functioning aircon, is frequently locked for no apparent reason, denying members a safe space to exercise. The Gym Group Management needs to address this health and safety issue immediately. This is the worst gym I have ever experienced. Please do not leave a generic response like you've done with the majority of the other reviews.

Negative experience: I been coming to this gym for years.Its very sad how often the air conditioning has broken this been happened for years in summer the air condition always not working the gym group failed Us Secondly i been Complaining about people using the gym and not put the weight back.Coming to the gym in the morning you off removing weights of the floor , bar and squat racks before you can do your workout why can these people be banded this been going for so long

Negative experience: I’ve been with this gym for a very long time, & the air conditioning doesn’t work! It’s so hot in here it’s a health hazard. I’ve changed gyms because of this as I’m worried I may pass out during my workout. You need to fix this issue before you end up losing more members

Negative experience: I have been with this branch since 2013, and for the past 5-6 years, the air conditioning has consistently failed to function properly during the summer months (June to August). As shown in the attached photo, the temperature was recorded at 26°C as early as 6 a.m., with only 10-20 members present. The root of the problem, as diagnosed several years ago, appears to be the placement of the air con compressors (where air is drawn into the units) being located in the car park, where the ambient temperature is too high for the system to operate efficiently. Given the discomfort this causes for both staff and customers, I kindly request that this issue be addressed as soon as possible.

Negative experience: Ambience music too loud. Even using noise cancelling earbuds the gym`s loudspeakers sound keep bothering and hitting hard our head. Also difficult to talk with others friends and clients inside There's no need to be so loud. (Not to mention that not everybody likes those kind of music playing)

Staff Very arrogant and rude. Totally useless in an environment where people are clients and expect minimum politeness and good manners. Very poor customer service Not even close to a minimum a human being needs for a social interaction. The Gym group should address this Staff bad behaviours properly.

Negative experience: For a gym claiming to be 24 hours surveilled by CCTV cameras, it was shocking to discover upon being attacked by a personal trainer who is employed by this gym, that the area where the attack happened, the cameras did not cover !!! Even though, the attack took place in the center of the gym .. Then when I submit a claim to the gym to review the incident, they said upon investigations and speaking to witnesses they couldn’t find an evidence…. Shockingly, I was not even consulted or asked who was available around … and given that cameras do not cover the area, I wonder how they identified the witnesses!??? Police was informed and the gym tried to cover up for their personal trainer saying the same stuff about cameras not covering the area. I personally don’t feel safe there, and wouldn’t recommend to any, specifically women or LGBTAI+ communities …

Negative experience: 11 June - Another day, another class almost cancelled. There is no management team to complain. It is really bad! I've been a member of this gym for a while now, and the quality has been going downhill. The biggest issue is that the trainers frequently don't show up for workout classes. What's worse is that we are never informed about these absences in advance. It is such a waste of members time to leave work early to get to the gym for the workout class. Today was the final straw – yet again, no trainer showed up, and a fellow member had to step in to lead the class. This is completely unacceptable. The management needs to seriously step up their game. Until they do, I can't recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and look elsewhere.

Negative experience: Machines and equipment are great . Trainers are very helpful. There is no wifi and no mobile network here, so when you are in the gym, you are always at risk that nobody can contact you. I have been raising this for many months now, but to no avail.

Negative experience: That’s it, I quit Yes the machines and equipments are great. But what good does it do if it’s always so packed you can almost never do the routine you have planned. And as if it was not enough being constantly harassed by other members looking to take your spot at all cost, you can easily get bullied by a very rude staff They’re really lucky there isn’t a great choice of gym in the vicinity.

Negative experience: The WiFi is never working and you can not get any normal coverage inside the gym so if you want to stay connected to work or anyone else you can not do it in this gym. Also the staff is not able to help is any way about this

Negative experience: STAY AWAY FROM THIS GYM Stolen property My secure locker was broken into during peak hours at this gym. The lock was evidently smashed and my belongings (wallet, ID, keys, cards, clothes) were all stolen. The gym has cctv and no one can enter without membership. Naturally, I was dumbfounded and reported it to a member of staff who was inexplicably confrontational, accusatory and unprofessional. I was informed 'no one steals at this gym' and that I should learn to read as there is a sign saying lockers are being cleared out (of things left overnight). I explained I had left these things in the locker only 30 minutes ago and was called a liar. I took the member of staff to the broken lock and he did not offer any support whatsoever, something I find highly unusual. The disrespect, misconduct and lack of empathy is something that I never expected let alone for someone in a customer service type role. I have since had to report the incident to the police and change my house locks. I will, undoubtedly, never, set foot in this gym again and will be taking legal action

We are sorry to hear of the theft of your belongings. In these scenarios, members are required to contact the police to open an investigation. We can then directly assist them with their investigation.
Positive experience: Overall the gym has a lot of machines and is spacious. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the toilets are always dirty, unhygienic and blocked. I have to go to the civil centre for the nearest loo.

Negative experience: I used to like this gym. However, even when the gym is empty all of the lockers are full The classes are a hit or miss. Literally, there is no warning on class cancellations, turn up to the class on more than one occasion to find the room locked and there is no one there. Today it was supposed to be fit cycle at 7 am . Beware
