Positive experience: The gym was okay, but nothing particularly special. One thing I appreciated was the separation between the free weights and the pin machines, which made it feel more organized. However, I found the pricing a bit steep—£10 for a single entry and £23.99 for a monthly subscription seems a little on the high side compared to other gyms I've visited. The layout could definitely use some improvement. The equipment felt quite packed together, making it difficult to navigate around without getting too close to someone actively using a machine. I usually try to give people their space while working out, but here it felt nearly impossible, especially during busier times. Overall, it’s a decent gym, but the cramped layout and pricing might make me consider other options in the future. A bit more space and a slight price adjustment would make a big difference.

Fantastic experience: It's a great gym with great staff

Negative experience: Unable to get changed after 10pm which is the only time I can go changing rooms and toilet locked. Went out to my car came back and unable to use secure entry again apparently you cannot return once you leave. This is pathetic and I will be cancelling my membership after just joining. Worst gym I ever been to

Negative experience: Been a loyal customer for years, but staff only care about themselves. Face ID hardly works and you can be stood at the door or desk for ages before staff help out. Male toilets are really unclean. Staff and Manager are very very rude when trying to resolve issues when it comes to payments and play you back and forth to rinse you of money! A smile wouldn’t hurt anyone Edit: I asked about my photo many times and it still would never work even after many photo retakes. I also would press the button and still wait ridiculous amounts of time and even had other gym goers to go and collect your staff. I think you’re hurt someone is telling the truth about the gym and the way you deal with peoples money is harsh and disgusting.

Negative experience: Was a loyal member of this gym for 4 years. When eventually having to cancel their staff said they had sorted it however they didn’t. So I now owe money to debt collectors for “missed payments” because of their staffs mistakes. Service is great until you try to leave

Negative experience: Good gym but 4 times I have gone after hours and the camera has not worked , not asking for alot being able to gain access to the gym ! This has meant I have missed my workout and it's too late to travel to another

Positive experience: Generally the portrack onegym is a brilliant gym. Loads of equipment and machines. Cardio and weight training. Lots of classes. Staff friendly. Snacks available to buy. Some things I would like to see improved: Better air conditioning The volume of the music reduced. It's far too loud like a night club. Have shampoo available in the showers Make sure a member of staff is available at all times, I understand the staff need to clean up but then the reception ends up unmanned for so long and they don't always respond to the button on the wall, so wastes so much time standing waiting around

Negative experience: I had a very bad experience with this gym, I emailed them with a request that I am not here and cancelled my membership but their staff is not willing to accept any kind of acceptance. When you show them your power, they look after you also aceept same case what they have denied before so it is very unprofessional and they have hired a very rude staff who have no knowledge,

Positive experience: Great gym but need to sort out the 24 hour access. I've had issues a few times with the facial recognition not working in the early hours & had to give up & go back home. Got there at 5.30 this morning & there was about 15 people waiting to get in as the cameras weren't working. We all just had to wait for a member of staff to arrive & let us all in.

Fantastic experience: Been a member here for just under a month now after moving over from Totalfitness due to silly price increases. I’ve used the Portrack, Thornaby and Darlington gyms so far and all 3 have been excellent. Friendly staff and clean facilities. I thought my previous gym had decent equipment but this is next generation stuff at onegym. I had a tour and demo of the unfamiliar equipment from Tom, he was friendly and knowledgable and I wouldn’t hesitate to ask him for advice in the future. Very pleased that I made the switch and I pay nearly half of what I used to pay for multi gym access and top quality equipment, win win.

Positive experience: great gym, lots of machines and love that it’s 24 hours, though the face scanner entrance is ridiculously hit and miss, and many of my late night sessions have to be forgotten when the doors don’t let you in. I wish there was an easier way to enter the gym.

On another note I would love to know what weight you are starting on an empty machine, especially the Viking press. Great atmosphere and a gym where people out there weights back!

Fantastic experience: Been going to Stockton One Gym for just over a year. Do about 4 classes a week, can always get booked on, and the staff are really motivating and friendly. Toms Monday spin class always a good one, pushes me to work as hard as I can but still manages to makes it fun!

Positive experience: The staff are really helpful and the equipment is top of the range. I wish they had a steam room. That's my only gripe. Membership fee isn't that bad, gets crowded because of Total Fitness jacking up prices.

Negative experience: Gym is packed constantly, not enough to go around, still advertising for new members to join. Once I left the customer service is cancelling my membership was terrible

Fantastic experience: An excellent gym with plenty of space and equipment to get in a varied work out. The fact that it's 24hrs makes it flexible aswell. Could do with some more smaller weight discs 1.25kgs and 2.5kgs as I have often found myself looking around for them most often but has to be said the best gym I have ever used.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I come here 4 times a week. We don't do weights, so can't comment on that. But we use the arc trainers all the time. However, I think that there is a fantastic range of equipment available. It's a massive step up from the previous gyms that we have been members of. We only moved to Teesside in July from Kent, and we were members of a Gym Group gym, and a Puregym. OneGym beats both of those gyms in every single aspect. The only complaint I have is that sometimes there appears to be issues with their boiler, as the hot water in the showers doesn't always work. But I would recommend this gym to anybody and everybody.

Positive experience: Fantastic gym. Plenty of free weights, over a dozen benches. Multiple squat racks and dozens of weight machines. Also an abundance of cardio equipment too. It can get busy from 4 onwards so I try to go during the day where possible. More than reasonable price per month too. Staff are friendly and helpful if you ever need anything. Generally a friendly membership base, most people are lovely and nice which always helps. The phone signal in there isn't great due to it being a large metal shed.

Positive experience: Lovely gym with nice staff. Good music and atmosphere. Like the low level lighting and led lights. Only problem is its very heavily focused on plate loaded machines. Not much In the way of fixed pre loaded machines near the cardio. Not sure if I'll join (which id really like to) because of this. Seems too much like a gym designed for men. No pilates or yoga classes. Could do with a bit of extra equipment maybe some lighter dumbells and barbells in the Crossfit type area . There's plenty of room to put more equipment.:-) RESPONSE TO OWNER: Thanks for answering Erm a few more bits of the fixed resistance and a standing calf raise, maybe a lying leg curl. Negative experience: Terribly designed doors that don't let you in half of the time, broken and faulty gym equipment, personally witnessed someone injure themselves badly on one. Poor changing facilities and dirty toilets. To top it all off, a money-grabbing "monthly" membership which, when cancelled you actually have to pay for the next month even if you have no intention to use it. Really poor customer service, clearly ran by those putting profit over customer service, even in these times where cost of living is rising. As you can see by their immature reply they have a hard time taking any form of criticism and accuse you of lies! I'm not the only reviewer complaining about exactly the same things so it can't be a strange coincidence.

We went and viewed all gyms in the area this one was by far the best. Great equipment huge space and 24 hour access with pod entry so it’s secure if you fancy a midnight workout. It’s an absolute steal at 23.99 a month. :)

Fantastic experience: Great gym, with a great range of equipment with a mix of cardio, free weights and plate machines. Sun beds are separate to your membership and do incur a charge. The staff are very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable, so just ask. The only issue I saw was wheelchair access outside of staff hours. It can get very busy at peak times.

Negative experience: Decent gym but if you can't access it then what's the point? Ridiculous 'pod' doors break all the time, and if you're trying to train before work (when no staff are there) then often you can't get in. The management seem to think this is acceptable. DO NOT join for 12 months if you intend to train early/late.

Negative experience: This gym only cares about your money I injured myself so I’m unable to go I cancelled my membership but because it’s a 12 month contract I have to keep paying Avoid this gym your health should come first but clearly they just want your money.

Negative experience: Had to leave because they blocked me on Facebook for some reason. Tried to enquire why and was stonewalled. No apparent reason for it. Shame really. **** Joined because it is 24 hours and that is perfect for me. It's cheaper than the other local gyms but has plenty of equipment, is very spacious and the music is always banging. Super easy to access with the face recognition camera so you can come and go as you please. Ideal for shift workers. The lighting needs seeing to outside the entrance. It's hard coming out of the light into the dark because it's difficult to see the curb.

Fantastic experience: What a gym by far the best gym around the staff and the equipment are fantastic

Positive experience: So many benches and squat racks that you'll never be left waiting, lots of free weights and plenty of machines to give you a good workout. Mainly a weight lifters gym but they do have enough cardio equipment if that's your thing as well. All brand new equipment, which is pretty much all hammer strength or Watson. I find hammer strength do something's well and others not so much, would be nice to introduce some Cybex machines, that use cables as they tend to keep the weight more consistent through the lift (like a lot of the machines in OneGym Thornaby) Overall, very good gym, whether you're into weight training, cardio or more circuit training, you shouldn't be left disappointed.

Positive experience: I have been at OneGym now since it opened. I still think this a great gym that can cover all disciplines of training to meet your needs. That said, I would like to see another rack of the lowest weight dumbbells. In addition, the kettle bells could do with an increase up to the 40k. An incline leg press would also be a great addition. There are machines in there that do not get used. Get rid. Age range is varied. Peak times can get very busy as expected.
